Pros: Am not normally one for leaving a review, but this time I feel compelled to do so. The hosts Peter and Warren really go out of their way to make you feel at home, beginning with the welcoming pot of tea on arrival, their cheerfulness and eagerness to help, friendly chats, not to mention the excellent breakfasts. My bedroom - and the bed - extremely comfortable. The B&B is also nicely located, as it's nestled in a quiet side street but within a stone's throw of Shanklin's range of quaint pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as the different beach and cliff walks on offer.
Cons: What's not to like? :-)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Thank you both for a lovely stay! Great attention to detail and special touches that are such a treat. Layered bedding is the only extra that would make for perfection - us oldies have fluctuating hot-cold body thermostats these days! Would definitely stay again.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with some interesting options if required. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good for temperature and pressure but perhaps the height adjustment could be improved if the hose was threaded through the hole in the attached soap tray. The television was not working but was fixed on the same day that I reported it-excellent. A warm and welcoming couple run the place.
Cons: There is not much wrong here. I would prefer to see the main breakfast options written down rather than spoken. The television in the room was at an uncomfortable height, although I did not watch it much.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere, the friendliness of all staff, the quality and choice for breakfast, the car parking and the location.
Cons: No dislikes whatsoever.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Kenbury B&B is situated in walking distance from Shanklin train station. My room had a wonderful view over the gardens to the Sea. The cliff path is about 500m away for beautiful walks along the sea cliffs. The owners (Paolo and Paul) went out of their way to make me feel welcome, I couldn't have asked for more. Bed was very comfortable, water kettle for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, nice TV set, nice bathroom with toiletries, all kinds of towels. The shower itself was great, easy to handle. Breakfast was very nice, with freshly cooked options as you like. The house is newly renovated, is charming and has a garden, and parking (that I didn't need, but it's worth mentioning). I was there off season, I found it quietly located. Owners provide all kinds of information about restaurants, sightseeing options, shopping, etc. I'll definitely come back.
Cons: Can't think of anything. All I needed was there. Or if I missed anything the owners provided it or info where to get it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners couldn't have been more helpful. We had a few days there celebrating our Golden wedding and when they realised that they gave us a card and some chocolates! The place is spotlessly clean and they always seem to go the extra mile to make your stay special. We would highly recommend it. Location is great as well, handy for lots of local restaurants.
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome and flexible with booking in arrangements. The room was great and the largest single bed I've come across and included the usual tea/coffee etc, but also a small fridge with fresh milk and water. The breakfast selection was superb with fruit, cereals, yougurts and a great cooked selection. The owners couldn't do enough to make my stay enjoyble.
Cons: Nothing apart from the rain, but that couldn't be helped!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and Clean , Close to the train station. Host really friendly and helpful
Cons: Nothing. Was a nice stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal, great customer service. Great room with adjoining door where our children stayed, a comfortable stay. Outstanding, full isle of Wight breakfast, all local produce.
6.7 Good
Pros: The family room was great, the children were actually in their adjoining room with their own telly. The fridge in the room was a nice touch, lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolate with fresh milk - fab.
4.7 Okay
Pros: This B&B is nice enough for a short stay with friendly staff and a good breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extras in the room. The bar is reasonably priced and our stay was comfortable overall.
Cons: The Kenbury is in need of refurbishment. The bathrooms are too small and very outdated. The common areas are clean but have old and outdated furniture in it. New carpets and some fresh wallpaper will make this place a lot more inviting.
7.7 Good
Pros: Welcoming, nice clean rooms and great breakfast
Cons: No complaints
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, breakfast was excellent
7.3 Good
Pros: All the staff at the Kenbury were very friendly & helpful, especially Vikky. The room was great and the separate room (plusTV) for our son was an added bonus. The breakfast was lovely and the fresh fruit at breakfast and the fridge & fresh milk in the room are special touches for a B&B. Shanklin has a number of good restaurants and the Kenbury has a good location for both the town & the beach. We would definitely stay again.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: It was a convenient location and the overall quality good. the staff worked hard and looked after you well.

Cons: nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were pleased to find that the hotel was situated in a quiet, leafy part of Shanklin. The hotel and its award-winning front garden looked delightful. Inside, the hotel felt very welcoming with plush carpeting everywhere and a fresh smell. Our room was beautifully decorated ; it had a comfortable bed, plus a super sea view. Coffee and tea making facilities were fine. The staff were absolutely lovely. The dining room also had a view of the sea and the room was well decorated. The choice of food was brilliant and the cooked breakfast was delicious!
Cons: The hot water for the shower took a while to come through and the shower pressure was too fierce. Could have done with a second towel rail in the bathroom, and maybe a small shelf over the sink. Also a more obscuring blind by the toilet ; I was not sure what could be seen from outside!! The TV had a habit of cutting out occasionally, but had a good choice of channels.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly hosts. Great location for walking into the old village
Cons: Could hear a lot of creaking floor boards when people in room above were walking about, especially when they got up in the middle of the night.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Ryedale is in a perfect location for a family holiday on the Isle of Wight. It's a short walk to Shanklin beach for an early morning stroll or jog; and close by are beautiful gardens to enjoy after dinner in one of the many restaurants in town. It's also a good base if you intend to venture across the Isle. We stayed in the family room which was very clean and tastefully decorated, so it felt like coming 'home' after a long day out. The hosts prepare a tasty breakfast; and guests can make use of The Ryedale's dining room space on a night-in having a takeaway. You get free parking at Shanklin station with your booking at The Ryedale, as well as a discount for the Ferry crossing.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really excellent - a very good choice and well presented and cooked.
Cons: Because I was in a single room it was slightly awkwardly furnished - the TV and tea tray shared a top. Another minus was shortage of electric sockets. I have minimal gadgets but had to unplug either TV or kettle to find a socket for charging.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast lots to choose from like cereals pastries and fruit and yogurt. U can use the toasters yourself to do toast or crumpets and also pancakes which was really nice . Really good breakfast menu too. Great cooked breakfast, smoked haddock and poached egg was really nice. Papers u can read in lounge and nice bar area. .
Cons: First couple of days a guest had the tv really loud and staff had a problem locating the room where the guest was. Not what u really need while on a break. Really disturbing, thin walls and other guests were quite loud at times.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel right on the top of the cliff at Shanklin. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved having our breakfast overlooking the hotel pool and sea :) I upgraded our room prior to going and our room (2) overlooked the pool and sea - stunning! There are 160 steps down to the beach, a good workout on the way back! However, you can get to the beach through the town which was very close. As it was winter the Chine was closed as were some shops. We had some lovely walks during our stay and the signposts are the best I have seen anywhere. We had some lovely meals in town which was only a short walk away from the hotel. A great place to stay whilst exploring the beautiful Isle of Wight.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was that the details on booking.com are a little decieving in that the indoor pool etc was in the sister hotel next door which wasn't ideal in the winter!!
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful and freshly baked and the service was good
Cons: WiFi didn't work for Apple iPad
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was so dog friendly and the staff were super helpful in a quite unassuming way .
Cons: Nothing to dislike at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable stat and lovely hot breakfast
Cons: Everything was great
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Dog friendly and really nice staff
Cons: Not enough ice in Gin & Tonic and no lemon
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: We booked a standard double room and the room we were allocated, which was in the ground floor opposite the toilets was definitely standard. The light in the entrance lobby to the room didn’t work and although reported was not fixed. The window pane was also cracked. The bedroom furniture was basic, but the bed was very comfortable. The toilet/shower room was a complete contrast to the room as it was really modern and looked like it had been recently refurbished. The other disappointment was that although we arrived the day after Boxing Day the entire hotel was devoid of any Christmas decorations.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was nice, hot and outstanding with lots of options.
Cons: The team seems a bit mood. Unfortunately the bathroom need a maintenance and improvement. All the edges around the bath needs silicone. The tiles need a scrab to remove dirty yellow from the walls. The worst experience was that wifi did not work and I check the hotels facilities before I book a hotel. I brought up this concern to the reception and they said that the wifi do not work but not offered a solution. The best thing I can say about the hotel is that they have a stunning breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a clean, comfortable room, the hotel had good facilities and a was in a great location being very close to Old Shanklin village. The hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The full English breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few). It was excellent value for money at the time we stayed (early January).
Cons: There was nothing that we didn’t like.
