When checking in the guy was unwelcoming. Bed uncomfortable and room dingy. Fridges smelly.
staff were amazing and helpful. Location was perfect. Room on the whole and Bathroom was very clean . Perfect value for money. Just hit my head a few times between the bunk beds. I should have been more careful though .
Good location, good facilities for cooking, good outdoor areas, very good lockable storage boxes below beds, very good light and charging/power points by each bed.
Very poor sound insulation, in the basement dorms it was so loud from the noise above, doors opening and closing, people walking. Very warm on the top bunks in basement dorm. Not enough is done to make sure other people in rooms are respecting area, for mess / food being left out in the rooms. When asking the staff about bike hire, had no idea (when this should be a key thing to help people staying with), and didnt even offer to look online despite asking. Not good dining areas, on days it was raining, wasnt that good to eat, away from the kitchen itself.
Good outdoor space to enjoy solo or with the new friends you are likely to meet
Despite the Staff posting everywhere in Eglish to clean dishes after use, a sink full of dishes is likely to be encountered in the Kitchen. Perhaps one notice to clean dishes after use could be posted in French, German, Spanish, and Koren. I am assuming not everyone reads in English.
