10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got the room with the biggest balcony facing the mountain range with the pyramid/temple, with a view down the valley. It was incredible. Ours had a couch area, so was extra roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, with a first, cold course (yogurt/fruit) and then eggs cooked to order. The house-made guava marmalade was incredible.
Cons: Nothing not to like!
10.0 Excellent

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: The view is amazing!
Cons: Some upgrades could be used in the room-- more fans or air-conditioning, for example. Replace the screen doors to the patios so they open better, etc. But these are for the most part minor things, and shouldn't keep you for staying there. For example, when our screen door was broken, we were quickly moved to another room.
6.7 Good
Pros: - the location is breath-taking, the building is very nicely taken care of with beautiful flowers - convenient to get to and from the Pueblo Magico - the room with the king size bed and jacuzzi is great!
Cons: - the swimming pool’s chlorine levels are so high that all three of us got rashes from it and our brand new swim wear got yellow patches all over - the service in the restaurant, by the pool and as a room service is amazingly slow: e.g. ordered snacks and in 25 minutes it didn’t arrive. When getting to the restaurant and asking it to be delivered there, they said another 20-25 minutes we need to wait. It was just like snacks, nothing complicated. Or when our tv didn’t function we called three times in 40 minutes. First a house keeping lady came who just about knew to to switch on the tv but nothing else. After 40 a young lady came who managed to set it up at last.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything Service Accommodation Lication
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is beautiful, charming and comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect with almost 360 degree views of mountains and the town. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the staff is friendly and helpful. We also did the temezcal that they have on site and it was great. Christmas Eve dinner was also perfect, and the pool is the perfect temperature. We would definitely come back here. Worth the splurge.
Cons: There was some mild confusion about what was and wasn’t included in the price we paid, but the staff was helpful in figuring it out.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful property, terrific location, pretty good food. We chose the superior suite, pretty much the most expensive room in the house, and it was beautiful, clean and well appointed, offering amazing views of the puebla and surrounding valley.
Cons: This place charges a serious premium relative to the other local alternatives, of which there are many. We should have had an incredible, over the moon experience. But we didn't. Why? It came down to the level of customer service. It was lacking. The staff and owners never came across as warm or welcoming. At a top-tier property like this, and with a reservation for their most expensive room, you expect to be greeted by name, to be welcomed, to be checked up on and enquired after. And its absence made a difference. It was like getting occasional whiffs of sewage in the middle of an otherwise great meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was exquisite! Incredible views and a warm breakfast with fresh fruit included with the room. The service was exceptional as well.

Pros: Lovely hotel with one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Room was very clean, and having a terrace was a nice feature too. Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Massage was excellent.
Cons: Whilst I loved the eco-friendly way the hotel provided toiletries, the shampoo was absolutely the worst thing ever! I wish I had bought my own. No other complaints though.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay in Mocca Hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, the location is away from the noise of the streets. You can actually hear and feel connected with nature. But also really close to all activities and center of the town.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Great service.
Cons: Small pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There wasn’t a lot not to like about my stay here: the staff were friendly, enthusiastic and went out of their way to help me. The hotel was beautiful and so peaceful. It’s in a great location and the bed was so comfortable. My balcony was a highlight of my stay with an incredible view, and I spent a lovely evening in the hot tub. Fantastic. I spoke with the hotel before I arrived and explained how I was vegan, they made accommodations for me and I had a fantastic vegan breakfast throughout my stay. Really couldn’t recommended this hotel more it was such a lovely retreat.
Cons: A few more vegan options on the menu would be good, instead of having to substitute or remove ingredients! Just a suggestion though, definitely not a criticism.

5.0 Okay
Pros: It is a magical place. Beautiful and perfect to relax. They had nice little details to make you feel welcome . The manager made everything she could to help us have a better stay.
Cons: I don't know why this happened to us it was like get hit struck by bad luck. We could see how the other guests were having the time of their lives but we had quite some trouble with different things during our stay. The staff hanging by the pool repeatedly ignored us when we tried to get their attention. We got billed for more things than we ordered. Our lovely room started stinking sewage in the middle of the night The waiters forgot things we ordered. Some of the food was raw. I got salmonella from a ceviche that I ate there. As written, i don't think this happened to anyone else. We talked to the manager after our first night there. The manager did everything to help us have a nice stay. We got a new room and she talked to the staff. I guess nothing/noone could help us with our bad luck.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful!!
Cons: Rooms a bit too small for the price and expectations.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Reception and ground staff were friendly, the Restaurant staff were not. The grounds were beautiful.
Cons: 1st I was put in a horrible room in the car park and did not match booking.com description, after I complained they moved me to a normal room but then sneakily charged me extra. The restaurant main waiter were very rude demanded to see our room keys as if we were lying about being guests, could not get our order right, we made a complaint to the hotel manager she was nice and they then corrected the order. However the next day I became sick with food poisoning was vomiting all night it was the worst than I have ever had. It is now 3 days later and I am still suffering from this food poisoning which is so bad that I have to see a doctor. After telling the hotel manager I had food poisoning she had the cheek to follow us out asking us to leave a good review for the restaurant! Lovely beautiful looking place and very friendly reception staff, Alvin was very helpful. However it’s advised NOT TO EAT AT THE RESTAURANT I have been vomiting and have had severe diarrhoea for 3 painful days.
6.0 Good
Pros: Place and vues are really nice
Cons: Room service is terrible. Very slow and we ordered twice and they got the order wrong twice. Its supposed to be a place to relax and hotel policy is no music allowed in common areas. And they had a retreat that used loud (pool party level) electronic music. They were not consistent at all with what they preach.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view and very relaxing
Cons: Breakfast was not ready before 9 am. You have to wait 5 min before The water in the shower get warm

5.8 Okay
Pros: The restaurant's food is just spectacular!!! We had both dinner and breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. The hotel view is beautiful and the location is great.
Cons: We stayed here two years ago. The general experience was a lot better at the time, and the maintenance of the facilities was excellent. During this visit, we noticed many broken furnitures, the pool was dirty, the smell was pretty bad and we had a few cold showers. We were there to celebrate our post-wedding weekend and the beginning of our honeymoon, but they didn't seem to care much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stylish. Relaxed. Great facilities. Bed and linens were excellent. Spacious room and bathroom. Room was cleaned to high standard daily. Nice breakfast. Food in the restaurant was modern and delicious. A real spa on the premises vs a side room with a massage table as often encountered.
Cons: The property is split by a rather steep and often busy street with rooms on both sides. The traffic can be noisy in the mornings with cars and that damn propane gas sales truck. My dinner service one night in the restaurant was....inconsistent- great service initially but then turned non-existent. Rather spoiled a great meal.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The spa and restaurant were wonderful. We had terrific massages and loved the water pools with sauna, steam, etc. The spa staff were very sweet and accommodating. The restaurant has a terrific chef - there wasn't a meal we didn't enjoy.
Cons: We were very upset that there was construction right outside our room. We paid for the highest room (master suite #9) and construction was going on within 2 feet of our windows all day until 7pm. We had paid for the room with the hot tub (which actually wasn't hot) which was virtually unusable as the construction workers were right there and there was no privacy. This room should never have been booked during their construction project.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet peaceful clean stylish
Cons: Nothing
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The décor and facilities are superb. Staff is helpful and always friendly. They pay attention to every detail making you feel you're stepping into your weekend getaway home.
Cons: The facilities at the pool can be improved with showers.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The wifi didn't work, tv control didn't work, room was cold and very damp! The registration in arrival took for ever because we had to try and smell the essential oil from the spa service 'to personalize the experience' then we 5 had to follow the owner around the houses to choose a room, at the end I was in a separate building from my friends. The rain came and we couldn't go out to at least have dinner together in the hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The room, the scents that they add really makes you relax! The view to the mountains! The pool is good but too small. The view from the roof is spectacular!
Cons: Pool could be bigger and with lights at evening

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the views, the spa and meditation rooms, the pool areas, the rooms. Wonderful bathroom, balcony, hammock, beds. The meditation activity is very special. The views are close to none, stunning.
Cons: Food could have a slightly more vegetarian / healthy focus. Some noise from other guests and nearby people during our stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is peaceful, very clean and great breakfast
Cons: Some parts looked a bit old or not with enough maintenance.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hostal de la luz is great in every detail, food was also good and the temazcal ceremony was amazing
Cons: The lady who charged me for the bill made a mistake twice and was unapologetic about it. No big deal, but it can get annoying and kind of ruins the very peaceful vibe about the place.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is breathtaking, the (main) swimming pool is really nice and the chairs are comfortable. It’s nice and quiet, so certainly a place to relax. The breakfast is really nice and the food at the restaurant it’s ok.
Cons: It’s a bit outdated and while you receive an explanation upon arrival it’s difficult to understand the different facilities, what’s offered by the hotel and what has to be paid separately. The place is somewhat isolated and you need to take a taxi or a minivan to go to Amatlan or Tepoztlán. The waiters were really friendly but the staff at the front desk wasn’t. There should be more relaxation activities offered during the week (for example yoga is only offered in the weekend).
5.4 Okay
Pros: The views of the site are amazing. Specially at night.
Cons: Everything felt overpriced and exaggerated for what the services actually were. There was a guest flying a drone around the premises and maintenance people tearing down a tree in the morning and cleaning up the property WITH LEAFBLOWERS. This says a lot about a place which is supposed to help you relax. My room shower had a leak (good thing I travel with earplugs), lighting is fluorescent-lighbulb-based which contains mercury and while this may save energy, the premises are lit with conventional incandescent light bulbs which stay on all night. Totally contradictory. This place is overpriced and overrated, since it doesn't to anything to preserve the landscape it's immersed into.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A really good experience:.

7.9 Good
Pros: The view is amazing!
