Pros: Center of town & very close to train and bus stations.
Cons: Not open until 4 or 5 o'clock - I don't remember for sure. The hostel is a bar and restaurant downstairs. The kitchen upstairs with the beds is very small and not well equipped or comfortable to use. The bathrooms need to be painted or tiled!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's in a convenient spot very close to both the station and downtown! There was also a beer garden on the roof of the hostel.
7.1 Good
Pros: The young people running it are nice, helpful and enthusiastic. They had a singer performing that evening. Atmospheric .

Meijiso - Tottori - Building
6
8.3 Excellent (197 reviews)
S$ 128+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Highly recommend Meijiso! We reserved a garden view Japanese-style room and it was absolutely beautiful, not to mention the onsen (hot springs bath) on site that made for a fantastic stay! The staff were absolutely amazing and I also highly recommend either getting kaiseki (traditional Japanese-style set dinner) or Meijiso's breakfast option, as both are amazing opportunities to eat amazingly delicious Japanese food. Location was excellent, as Misasa is not very big and easy to explore by foot from here. You won't go wrong if you stay here! Especially if you want something of a more 'traditional' experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staffs are helpful and nice Good location and cozy
Cons: Nil

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I highly recommend this Ryokan. Staff were so helpful and friendly. My room was over the top spacious and i looked down into a treasured 100year old garden. The new onsen is a credit to the owners. Breakfast was delicious with garden view. Loved the blend of modern and traditional, the garden, the ikebana, the family treasures on display. I hope to stay here again. And it is only a very short walk to the station.
Cons: No elevator but staff were so efficient and considerate in carrying my case.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Although the Ryokan has a 100 year history the current facilities are new, only a year old. The rooms and onsens are well designed and comfortable. In addition to the common male and female onsens, we were able to use the private onsen

Bird Stay Hotel - Tottori - Building
11
7.7 Good (478 reviews)
S$ 80+
7.0 Good
Pros: Bird-Stay is a short walk from Tottori Station. The room was somewhat large, by Japanese standards. Breakfast was not worth it - just a hard boiled egg, some toast, and a slice of meet. Other hotels in Tottori have breakfast buffets for around the same price. The staff speaks next to no English, which can pose challenges, but that's true in most of Japan, outside the major cities.
Cons: My only problem with the hotel was when I left. When I got to the Station, I noticed that I had left my 3-prong to 2-prong adapter in the room (By the way, if you go to Japan, you won't need the kind of adapter you need in Europe and elsewhere, where the prongs are shaped differently, but if you have plugs with 3 prongs, you'll need an adapter so you can use the 2-prong outlets). I went back to the hotel to retrieve it, and they wouldn't let me in the room, or send someone to the room. They kept showing me on Google translate, "Nothing was left behind." This went on for a half hour until I found someone else who worked at the hotel, who let me in the room, where I got my adapter. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth for this hotel, but overall, it was a satisfying stay.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great value.. the relaxation Lounge is great
6.0 Good
Pros: Free parking space. Convenient location. About 5-10 mins walk to down town.
Cons: Hotspring and breakfast are underwhelming. Hotspring: Just a small indoor one, no sauna, no cold water bath. Breakfast: Toast set with 2 toasts, 1 ham, 1 piece of orange, 1 boiled egg, and 1 drink. 60 extra yen for Japanese breakfast. Not environmentally friendly: They replace the slippers everyday, and use plastic bags to wrap glasses.
6.7 Good
Pros: Fair price with hot spring, nice staff
Cons: Not enough shower facilities and hot spring too small, there’s no shower facilities in the room and only 4 shower facilities inside the common bathroom WiFi too weak, I need to use my own data at the end
7.9 Good
Pros: Very traditional style business hotel. The tatami and rooms were clean and nice. Bed comfortable but a bit small. AND the ofuro was great.
Cons: Could use a bit of an update. And when booking it should be more clear that there are no shower units in the room. Also would love to have a desk or other higher surface in the room.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to JR Tottori Station(around 200 m.). Staffs are very friendly. Convenience shop (24-hour) is on the ground floor.
7.5 Good

7.9 Good
Pros: This affordable, simple property is just a few minutes by foot to Tottori Station, and is convenient to many restaurants and bars. The staff is also very friendly.
Cons: You get what you pay for. While there is nothing “wrong” with the hotel, the interior of the rooms could definitely use an update; my room wasn’t cleaned, even though I was out all day.
7.5 Good
Pros: Located just opposite the Tottori Train Station and beside a street filled with restaurants. Walking distance to the Castle Ruins.
Cons: No non-smoking room left and smoking room reeked of cigarette smell. Even with the air freshener provided, the smell is BAD.
7.5 Good
Pros: The free coffee / hot chocolate / tea
Cons: Additional fees for one of my kids, for the parking, very tiny rooms
7.1 Good
Pros: The location.
Cons: Tiny room. The breakfast was just okay. We needed to hand out our key when we were not in the hotel, but got the wrong one once when we came back. It's an mistake they should avoid to make.
6.7 Good
Pros: Cleanliness, staff, free coffee machine
Cons: Toilet was as small as an airplane toilet, hot and cold water taps were separate and had to be interchanged between sink and shower, bathtub (only place to stand whilst bathing) flooded when showering. An absolute nightmare to bathe in. Room was also so small u couldnt even walk once u opened ur suitcase
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Best location for Tottori city sightseeing right by the train station, very nice staff, very affordable, restaurant inside the hotel for those who want easy breakfast/dinner options
Cons: because walls and doors are thin, it could be noisy if you happen to be staying on a floor with inconsiderate guests
7.9 Good
Pros: 1. Quite close to the JR station if you know how to walk through the underground (I walked pass the zebra crossing the other day, and it took much longer) 2. Free coffee and hot chocolate near the reception 3. There IS an elevator to the reception!!! Some reviews say that ppl had to climb a flight of stairs in order to reach the hotel, so I did on the day of arrival. But then I realised that there is a path leading to two elevators on the LEFT SIDE of the staircase!!!!!!!!!! Yes, the ‘passage’ going down! Just go down and that leads you to the elevator! Good news to travellers with big bags!!!
Cons: 1. Very small room - not much space left after opening the suitcase... seems smaller than other business hotels 2. Doubt if ppl can directly go up to the room levels by the elevator... that may cause security problem?
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice people nice location
Cons: Too small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Only 5 minutes walk from the station by underground passage, but very quiet. Free coffee/tea/chocolate in the lobby.
