Hotel is in a very charming old villa in a great area. Suite deluxe is comfortable and pretty big. Bathroom is stylish. Staff are friendly and helpful

Superb location close to most of the sights. Clean and spacious room with comfy bed and pillows. After contacting the staff we could check in earlier than usual, which was quite fortunate due to our early flight.

When using the bathroom, an especially loud water pump could be heard. Altought we called the hotel and ring the bell on the front door, getting in was not that easy.

Stylish, comfortable, genuine. Great bed. I had to stay in bed three days due to fever (NOT covid-19), and the staff was so so sweet and helpsam! Brought me a Coke, called the hospital for me etc. And asked me several times if they could do anything for me. Perfect breakfast in a beutiful tiled room. Next time in Lissabon, this is the place for me ❣️

Important note: Dear Lisbon - Bordalo Palace Chiado was closed and we were assigned a room in Palace Chiado Suites instead (which is located within 5-10 minute walk from Bordalo Palace), so this review actually refers to Palace Chiado Suites, but I hope that the high standards of the DL team are kept in all their locations. Breakfast with great variety of food choices was delivered to our room as part of COVID-19 measures. Hotel is close to major sights, metro and train stations as well as Tram 28 stops, shopping center and shopping street as well as restaurants. Dear Lisbon have designed their own maps of the city - very nice, informative and enjoyable to use.

We were not informed that Bordalo Palace is closed so ordered a taxi from the airport to that place and then had to walk to Palace Chiado Suites, thankfully, it was a short walk.

Stunning place to discover Lisbon!

Our room was absolutely stunning! Wonderful stucco and decorated tastefully. The staff was dedicated to make it a special stay and very helpful with our special needs. Great location to start discovering Lisbon!

Everything was good! Delicious breakfast and the room was bigger than expected.

The taps (?) in the bathroom made a really loud noise.

Everything was perfect!

Everything! We had a wonderful room with a small balcony overlooking a charming square. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were even given a small bottle of port as a gift on arrival. The breakfast was superb. We were really made to feel very welcome indeed and in a way that was utterly genuine.

Hotel was extremely clean and we got excellent service. Location was also super good!

If I have to mention something, our balcony view was towards the roof of the next buildings. Roofs were full of trash and did not invite us for being in the balcony. However the weather was not that good on february so did not affect our stay at all.

Very helpful and friendly staff, the room was very spacious and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The hotel location was very good and close to many attractions, restaurants and shops.

Could hear loud music playing late at night from one of the establishments nearby. With balcony door open, could smell smoke from patrons at restaurant below.

Loved that it was an old building tastefully restored with original features. Beautiful, tastefully decorated. Lovely restaurants and cafes next in the same block.

Beautiful, intimate hotel in a great location! Right in a lively neighborhood close to the theatre, shops and restaurants, but quiet and safe. The breakfast was excellent: fresh, delicious, and eggs made to order.

The water pipes groaned and thundered after showers or flushing, but this was an old house and I could easily overlook that!

Hotel is in a central part of town which made walking to many places very easy. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. The room was very spacious!

Dear Lisbon was clean and comfortable in a great location but quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was good with choices for gluten intolerance which was a bonus for me. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back

Perfect location on a small street without a lot of traffic. Restaurants nearby. Easy walk to tram stop and good shopping. Quiet except for Fri. night as outdoor partying was at nearby restaurant. Weather probably a factor as many people were enjoying the outdoors. It did quiet down by midnight. The hotel staff are very nice and spoke perfect English -- a bonus. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast.

There was only 1 chair in the room, so not easy to sit and converse or enjoy a glass of wine, etc, together while relaxing. No elevator, but the staff helped with luggage.

The staff was fabulous. Friendly and helpful. The Chiado location was perfect for a first time visitor. Great restaurants a block away. Many more within 4 blocks. Near the Rossio rail station. Decent room with comfortable chair and small bathroom with great shower.

As a 76 year old, the lack of an elevator was unexpected. The on duty manager placed our bags in the room. A few minor irritations: there is no waste basket in the room, only the small metal container with lid in the bathroom. There are no drawers for clothing. Small closet to hang a few items. In the middle of our stay the maid removed the two glasses from our room and never replaced them. ONE bar of soap was placed in three days. Nice to have one for the sink and one for the shower. Really stupid little things that can be fixed.

Amazing location near the city center with an apparent eye for detail. Spacious room with tall cielings, modern fittings and furnishings. Quick access to the metro and the river. Great stores and resturants in the immediate area, albeit a bit pricey. Breakfasts in the quaint dining room were also very welcome.

Quite some noise coming from downstairs, could be a problem for light sleepers.

Great place to stay in Lisbon. Big and pretty rooms. Very clean. Cute breakfastroom and kind staff. We really enjoyed the place and the atmosphere. Was travelling with kids 15&18, also they really liked the place. Would gladly recommend.

The staff goes out of its way to make you feel like you are the only important person in Lisbon. This location is superb. This will be the biggest room you have ever stayed in while visiting Portugal and you will love its historic feel .

The location was perfect for a city trip. Everything closeby. The receptionist was always friendly and so helpful, with tips about restaurants and places to see. The room was so clean, nice size, beds were super comfortable and even though there were restaurants downstairs just in front, with the new windows they had, we slept great with no noise.

There was nothing to dislike.

The breakfast and staff were quite accommodating. Marta was especially helpful, friendly, and provided excellent recommendations. I also loved the Porto in the lobby available to the guests.

When I requested a "Double Room," my intention was double (two) beds. However, it was interpreted as one double bed. I was NOT traveling with a partner, so this was extremely awkward. The next day the beds were separated. This distinction needs to be clearer, as it seems to be a matter of interpretation of the word "double."

The bed was superb.

It's absolutely wonderfull place. Everything was perfect. Despite of the fact that we had a room on the front of the building and on the street normal there was a normal weekend night life, we didnt have any problem with sleeping. Breakfasts were very good, and service is just perfect. For example they booked a table in restaurants and call taxi when we needed, there was no problem with an early checking out on monday. But the most suprising thing was a smartfone, that we could take with us for city trips, for free. We needn't use our internet data transfers what can be quite expensive abroad. If Ill be back in Lisbon I will definitely stay at this hotel again. They reccomend us a restaurant "Aqui e peixe" , which is just around the corner, and it was the best choice for dinner.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. We had the most beautiful room! Big room, with a big bathroom, high ceilings, much sunlight and the furniture matched perfectly to this beautiful and well preserved building!! The breakfast was outstanding! Fresh bread, fruit, cheese and ham, fresh orange juice and the eggs as you like it. And many extras.. Honestly we‘ve never had such a freshly made breakfast. The staff was really nice and the place very clean. The hotel is very good situated. We really recommend this plce, it‘s worth every penny!

The staff were attentive and gracious with their time to explain getting around Lisbon. The staff called me when we were late meeting our prearranged shuttle from the airport so they could confirm that all was OK. We were delayed in meeting the shuttle driver because there was a very long queue (60-90 minutes) at passport control. They communicated with the shuttle driver who was waiting (with a sign with our names) for our arrival. Select this option when booking, A very beautiful and comfortable hotel.

A very charming, gracious hotel. Just nine rooms so it feels like you are living in a grand old home. The staff is wonderful. And the location is outstanding. In Chiado, on a little square, with the shopping street just a few minutes away, and walking distance to everything. The best Asian restaurant in Lisbon is at the doorstep. Highly recommend it. Wouldn’t stay in any other hotel in Lisbon.

I would not recommend the pick up service that they offer from and to the airport. The daily housekeeping service is very superficial.

The facility and the room were wonderful! The location is excellent, close to center, shops , restaurants and supermarkets. The room was big and very spacious.

It was cold in the toilet, what made it problematic to shower frequently.

Beautifully stylish small hotel in a very central location. Staff all exceptionally welcoming and very enthusiastic to help including the breakfast staff. The room was lovely and the bed was the most comfortable one I have ever slept in. Absolutely loved the breakfast room with the interesting ceramics adorning the walls and the lovely tableware. Breakfast itself was delicious, very well thought out. We felt thoroughly spoilt staying here for a few days.

Shame no lounge

Liked everything about this place location was super. Tried some lovely places in the area ... by the wine Jose wine bar, taberna tapas bar, restaurant oficio.

The staff, especially Mata and Fernando, could not have been more helpful. They made reservations for us, handled all of our questions and made us feel well cared for. The breakfast was abundant and excellent. The central location meant we could walk everywhere.

The room was lovely, but it would have been nice to have a second comfortable chair and a small table. One of us had to sit on the bed when we were just hanging out.

extraordinary personal care by all the staff at reception. the welcome card and the free bottle of port wine are a very nice touch. the house is lovingly furnished - a fancy mixture of tradition and modernity. the location is unbeatable and many of the city's attraction are in easy walking distance.

the breakfast buffet is sufficient, but was not always replenished. the water pumps are unusually loud.

The overall stay at the Bordalo House was fantastic. The staff was super friendly, we got offered wine at the checkin and sandwiches and joghurt when we had to checkout early morning. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and the location of the hotel which was surrounded by many good restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel even offers a smartphone during the stay that we used for free. Overall, no complaints.

The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building with a friendly staff, very comfortable rooms, and cute breakfast area. It’s a fabulous location next to amazing restaurants and shopping.
