Pros: The hotel was absolutely amazing! The rooms were spotless and the staff were so fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We were checked in by the manager who was just brilliant, on explaining that the airline had lost our cases she gave me toiletries to use which was a god send. Pros: the layout of room is great and the staff at reception is helpful

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is just 5-minute walking distance from the Arima Onsen station and they recently renovated so all the facilities are new and clean. All the staff are very kind and kaiseki was amazing! Definitely visit again!
Cons: Nothing.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent location. Within walking distance of rail/bus stations and main shopping streets. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was neat, tidy and very spacious.
Cons: Food was OK but not remarkable compared to other onsen ryokans we’ve stayed with. There was not much of a view nor too much privacy at the open air baths (whether public or in-room), as there were many buildings around the hotel. Layout of the room was a bit odd as the private bath and the shower area were located at opposite ends of the room.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: First time to spend a night in an onsen ryokan. Staff is really really nice. We deeply received their warm welcome. We thought there is no bathroom in our room according to the description but actually there is one. The private onsen is free but you need to reserve it. If you want to use it after dinner make sure you check-in earlier to make the booking. We were only able to enjoy it before the dinner and in the next day morning. Dinner and breakfast were also great. Overall we enjoy the stay very much~
Cons: In the next day morning when we go to the private onsen I found a dead cockroach in one of the pool :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the service and traditional way in which everyone behaved towards us.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike!
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful in helping us to plan our travel to the onsen, and were very welcoming once we arrived. The free shuttle bus from the train and bus stations to the onsen was a great service. The private baths were beautiful and very enjoyable. The Japanese style rooms and food was a very new experience, but well worth the venture.
Cons: Japanese sleeping style (i.e. on the floor) that was part of the package that we had chosen was something we had not experienced before and so we didnt sleep very well. However, this did not take away from the overall experience and it was great to have the opportunity to experience their culture in such a welcoming environment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very enjoyable stay in this traditional Japanese guest house. Exceptional service, beautiful food. Enchanting.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a room with a private Onsen. Access to the 4 other Private Onsens was well organised. The hotel staff were excellent, friendly and extremely accomodating. The general level of English spoken was good and the 13 course meal was wonderful.

Pros: The hot springs area is very clean. There is a drink bar in the lobby where you can get some drinks for free anytime there! The choices are good and taking care of younger kids to older ones.
Cons: Transportation. You have to take a train and bus to there. It is good that the hotel offers a shuttle to pick you up from station. Imagine that you fell in the ocean and have someone come to save you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shuttle service was great, super convenient. The staff and service were really friendly and accommodating. The 11 course dinner and breakfast was delicious!

Pros: The house is so traditional and services in good manner, you will definitely relax and enjoy your stay here. Hot spring is available for long period, quite convenient.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly, responsive and clearly took a lot of care and pride in their work. It felt like an honor to stay there! We really enjoyed putting on our yukata and really experiencing this property as our reason for being in Arima Onsen. Their onsen facility is beautiful, the room was comfortable and the food was awesome! We really felt like we got a taste of traditional Japanese hospitality.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast could have been more flexible for tourist who is not used to Japanese.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and gave clear explanations of the facilities. Pick-up and drop-off were fast and efficient. Breakfast has good variety, we stayed 2 nights and breakfast were different both days. Well done!
Cons: Overall, the property is old though well maintained.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Traditional ryokan that is very clean and comfortable to stay. It is a very pleasant experience and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The price is quite expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ryokan is both comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff have excellent hospitality and will not hesitate to assist you with anything you need. I also tried the kaiseki dinner which was pricey but well worth the experience. Because there are not many rooms in the ryokan, the baths are not crowded and you may often enjoy peace and solitude while enjoying the characteristic ‘kinsen’ of the region. Staying here has made me want to visit Arima again.
Cons: There is no lift so people with back or knee problems may experience difficulty climbing the stairs to their room. The air conditioner occasionally made a low whirring noise at night, but wasn’t loud enough to prevent me from sleeping.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very kind wokers with beautiful traditional apparel. traditional room with yukata. saying "how clean?" is waste of time.
Cons: soundproof is little bad.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Service was impeccable. The staffs were very attentive and the food was amazing

Cons: They were really helpful in bringing our bags to reception from drop off point (when we check in) but treatment was totally different when we checked out.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Historically stay and good public bath are really nice . Hopefully this hotel could reserve more legacy Japanese factors to be more unique.
Cons: The bathtub is really small in the room. It will be a very big plus if we could enjoy a really good, relaxing bath in our room especially with a good window view.
6.7 Good
Pros: Reception staff and the staff serving us at dinner were very attentive. The Onsens (hot springs) were good.
Cons: The room we had looked old and were quite basic. This was the most expensive accommodation we had booked during our trip. We were expecting something more luxurious.

Arima Hot spring Ryokan Kotori - Kobe - Bedroom

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner and breakfast were awesome.
Cons: The main hot spring water spa was in another building. So we had to walk outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The excellent care by the staff was beyond any expectation that I could have imagined. The rides to and from the train station, bus station other hotels and attractions around the town was so helpful and unexpected and it made our vacation so much more enjoyable because it was extra easy to get around.
Cons: There’s nothing we didn’t like.
7.5 Good
Pros: The meals, service, and the facilities (especially the bath in Hanamusbi) are superb. There were not many guests during my visit, so the bath was all ours. Do not miss the dinner.
Cons: 1. All the mattresses they had in the room were all filthy with blood and urine stains. When I complained about it, the staff reported that they put covers on them which are thoroughly cleaned. It still felt bad sleeping on it though. 2. I wanted to make a change in a room type (from only breakfast included to both breakfast and dinner included). The staff was not very responsive to my request and had troubles understanding it. It took me three weeks to get what I wanted. 3. Difficulties communicating in English in general. No English menu in writing for dinner. 4. I emailed prior to my arrival that I would like a bus to pick us up at a particular time. No one came and because I was not able to call them, I had to climb the hills with my luggage to get to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and welcoming staff, location near to the main shopping street (comfortable 2 - 3 minutes), and the onsen facilities
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Tofu is very good :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to and fro town was very convenient for us. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Good to have the small basin in the room so we can wash up without going to the shared bathroom outside. Food was DELICIOUS and served in very hearty portions. Overall, wonderful experience!
Cons: Shared bathroom was rather inconvenient for the elderly, and the onsen (shared shower) could be a little dangerous as it can get slippery.
7.1 Good
Pros: The friendliness of the owner
Cons: The onsen facilities. To get a bath in iron water one hes to walk uphill, in the cold. When getting there the baths is disappointedly small . The iron bath can only fit comfortably 2 persons. Besides, I disgustingly experienced a Chenise man with his 6-7 yrs old son dipping into the clear water pool without pre-washing and a group of 3 Chenise men doing the same. I was in the the iron pool so they could not fit in and they they headed dor the clear water pool. i had to leave the complex, and going baxk to Notori for the clear water pool. The hote owner has to teach Chinese tourists how to take a bath in onsens, otherwiise we would end up bathing in Chinese pissess. Gone was the day when only Japanese gentlemen visit onsens.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is scrumptious. Great! "Silver" bath is available in the ryokan. For "golden" bath, we need to walk to the other bigger hotel, it was bigger and more bath pools in that property, which was a great deal! For those who book with dinner, dinner is served in the other hotel. It is fun to wear the bath rope and wooden sandal around/to the other hotel. Storage of luggage before check-in and after check-out is possible and it is free of charge.
Cons: The receptionist could barely speak English. Information is printed on a paper with multiple languages for guests' convenient, but other requests/communication is a bit hard to achieve. Transfer to/from bus/train station is only limited to 3pm for check-in and 10am for check-out. If you arrive/depart at other timing than the stipulated time by the ryokan, you will need to walk about 7-10 mins from/to the stations. Not particularly far but it is uphill towards the ryokan. Kindly take note.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super nice staff Free shuttle-bus in arima area
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Japanese room style.
Hotel Hanakoyado - Kobe - Building
10
8.8 Excellent (311 reviews)
S$ 334+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel Hanakoyado in Kobe, you'll be in the historical district, a 1-minute drive from Arima Hot Springs and 7 minutes from Mount Rokko. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the second time I stayed at this hotel in Arima Onsen and it's as good as the previous time! I'm not sure the staff can speak English though, we always talked in Japanese with them. It's the typical ryokan that most tourists are dreaming of, the private bathroom is especially amazing! I recommend staying at this place if you want to experience the traditional japanese way of living.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Private hot spring area at no extra charge.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to rest and relax. Nice to have onsen bath on property as an option. Staff most welcoming and gracious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely kind. Free taxi service was available whenever we wished. The exterior and interior of the building are beautiful traditional Japanese style, but the facilities are modern. The hotel was very quiet; only 9 rooms. The breakfast was excellent (unique western breakfast available for ¥500 extra). The signs in the bathroom were in 5 languages. Very convenient for elderly or disadvantaged people.
Cons: The only minus point is that BS TV is not available.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: excellent food cooked in a beautiful traditional open plan kitchen. ability to have the onsen to yourselves which is not possible in all ryokan
Cons: wifi signal was pretty weak
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Superb dinner course! We enjoined a real first-class kaiseki experience delivered by the team led by chef Matsuoka-san, a kind gentlemen and extremely dedicated to offering only the highest possible service to his guests. All the other staff were also genuinely friendly and customer-oriented all the time. Check-in / check-out hours very flexible. Both of the hot spring rooms inside the ryokan were spacious and wonderful to enjoy, especially the one with the iron kettle tub. Great value for money given onsen-ryokan tend to be expensive in Japanese hot spring areas!
Cons: Room was averagely spacious and we could follow the conversations of the guests upstairs and the couple nextdoors. Only 2 hotspring bathing rooms available inside the ryokan, of which the one with the iron kettle tub was occupied most of the time. However, a stay includes free entrance to the hot spring of a ryokan down the road, which makes up for this inconvenience.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, staff nice and helpful, fantastic dinner.
Cons: Our beds in the Japanese style room were incredibly uncomfortable. They are not futon beds but something more towards hospital beds to help people with physical impairments or the elderly, which would be ok, if the mattresses were not the worst I have tried in years.

The hotsprings were outstanding, with both "gold" and "silver" springs available at the hotel. The amenities provided were very attentive and excellent. Overall an outstanding experience!
Cons: The beef dish provided in the Kaiseiki dinner was a little disappointing. It was a roast beef dish, the taste was good but the texture of the beef was abit off (a little mushy). Pros: Is a big hotel with nice facilities.
Cons: The price of the accomodation and food
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is ok, many Japaness food; Location is a little bit far from centre city.
Cons: I do not know SPA service need to pay extra charge, and fee is not cheap, hotel should remind us when we check in, but I have not heared. And the restaurant in hotel is very expensive and also fully booked by some local meeting.
6.7 Good
Pros: Cleanliness. Service is pleasant where room service is concerned but not in restaurant.
Cons: Kaiseiki dinner so so only. Generally it is expensive for quality of food.
6.7 Good
Pros: The onsen both on the 9th floor n B2. It was big n beautiful scenery n not crowded at all. The room that we stayed in was of a good size...it is pretty big. The kaiseki dinner. It was delicious n plenty of food.
Cons: The front desk change our room without informing us. I do not understand why they r changing my room when it is in the same building just 2 floor up. It is not an upgrade, the room we were change to where older. For 700 over dollars a night ...this is not worth it. The rooms need a refurnished. The front desk speaks very little english. The hotel was up the steep hill so walking was stressful. Thank goodness they provide free shuttle up n down the hill.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very beautiful, facilities are not new but very clean! The hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly. In room Japanese style food are awesome! The best is they offer various choices of Onsen, Including family spa to give a family with kids some privacy and a happy time without disturbing others! I love this hotel!

Pros: Onsen choices are great. Gardens spacious with nice landscape. Room well equipped with high quality and comprehensive necessities. Wide variety of goods at souvenir shop and the game room offers a good place to have fun while travelling.
Cons: Staff did not communicate too well in English. Only two restaurants in hotel so need to book well in advance for dinner.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Onsen (hot spring) is excellent, especially the outdoor ones.
Cons: There might be some problem with the ventilation as we often smell the 'smokey' in the corridor or the lift, probably coming from teppanyaki or the like at the restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everthing is great
Cons: nothing
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The downtown area was interesting
Cons: The hotel was evasive on the cost for everything and doubled the room rate quoted by your site.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good service! Good food! Excellent hot spring!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: very comfortable bed,nice bath!
7.5 Good
Pros: - friendly staff; - made reservation for 1 quad but was able to change to 2 separate rooms at last minute at small additional charge; - quick shuttle service
Cons: - there's a constant strong smoking smell despite that no one in either room smoke - "non-smoking" room doesn't exist but if someone smokes outside the ventilation is not sufficient to dispel the smell; - facilities are very dated especially for the amenities in the room, the bathroom especially - they expect everyone to use the spring baths; - we had a corner room and there's no curtain on one side to block out the light; - wifi is very weak, you had to be close to the entrance to get some decent connection; - food is just so so, lots of jello-coated items, we had better in Atami and Takachiho
7.9 Good
Cons: Wifi is too weak..

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staffs were above and beyond . Dinner was eight courses , immaculate ! Breakfast was exceptional as well.
Cons: Property could use some update .
7.9 Good
Cons: There seems to be only 1 staff who could speak English & who could help us with the check-in process.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The onsens are really good.
Cons: The bed in the single room is very small.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Other than the air conditioning problem, everything is perfect. The best part is the service of the staffs. You can feel they are very much care of you. Their service made me feel I am really their VIP guest there!
Cons: The air conditioning is not working properly. It was really hot during the sleep.
7.1 Good
Pros: Hot Spring
Cons: my room full of smoking smell; noisy from upstair floor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It's our first time to Arima-onsen and Gekkoen left our family an wonderful memory. At arrival, we're already embraced by the hospitality of the staff. With one single call, they picked us up at the train station in just a few minutes and welcomed us warmly at the gate. How warm! Super delicious Kaiseki Dinner and out of expectation Breakfast had brought out the very beauty of Japanese cuisine. It's a MUST-TRY besides Onsen. All 3 Onsen inside the Ryokan and her sister buildings are fantastic. Also the free massage chairs are such a suprise. They just made the whole onsen experience much more perfect. In short, I will definitely recommend Gekkoen to anyone who want to have a genuien experience of Japanese onsen and cuisine. And will revisit her if I shall go to Arima again.
Cons: It's pity that there aren't any drinks auto-selling machine inside the Ryokan building. When we finish Onsen late, we'd always like to buy some drinks but it seems we could only get some at the restuarants, or walk outside... It will be so great if such machines are equipped inside the Ryokan.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A staff of hotel
Cons: Location and some of service not including
5.4 Okay
Pros: Just average, luckily there was cherry blossom. Staff at the reception is ok.
Cons: Not good food, the staff at the dining room had no smile. Below par service. Hot spring is normal, not good. With the price I expect more. Will not recommend.
7.9 Good
Pros: View and hot spring
Cons: Value for money is quite low given the facility is a bit old. They used to serve wagyu beef for dinner but not this time around so my family was pretty disappointed.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hot spring is awesome. Staffs are nice and very helpful.
Cons: This hotel is very old. The diner included is mediocre. Good for photographing but not so good for tongue. I am disappointed by the food.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, extremely friendly staff. Breakfast worth it.
Cons: You can tell it’s a hotel that allowed smoking at one point but they have done everything they can to try and get rid of it. It’s not overwhelming and our room and stay were perfectly fine. But it’s there.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Good location and the size of the room is good for Japan.
Cons: The bed was lopsided, the room didn’t feel clean and it was overpriced for what can only be described as a poor version of a Premier Inn. Only stayed because it was convent for the World Cup game we were going to watch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed one night during RWC. Staff allowed us to check in early, which was a great help. Location was amazing. Breakfast simple but satisfying. Great value for money!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome, helpful information in English. Lots of helpful Kobe maps and tourist information. A great location next to the station for easily getting around. About 20 minutes' walk to Harborland. A small room as expected but comfortable enough for a city/station hotel and very clean. A coin-op laundry that was very useful to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff Ms Wang is very friendly and helpful. She helped us to book the steak restaurant upon our check in and patiently answer all our questions. The location is quite close to Kobe station and the price is reasonable.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Really close to Kobe Station. Coin laundry.
Cons: Bathroom was very small and no bar in the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was located perfectly, right next to the station and not a far walk from the harborland which has great restaurants and things to see. The rooms were bigger than your usual in Japan and had lovely soap (and even face wash!) in the bathrooms.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Next to the station, that means train noise during the night.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Although it's not a new hotel but facilities are well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the location is close to Kobe port. It's convenient for the tourists who are driving.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel way exceeded expectations for friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. the teppanyaki serving the Kobe beef on the 35th floor was incomparable - not cheap but a must do!
Cons: While I knew the price before I booked the hotel I still think it only reflected fair value for money. Also the Japanese VAT didn't seem to be explained well enough on their website - i.e. that I had to pay it (as someone who doesn't visit Japan often I didn't realise it was so high).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Views. Staff. Room standards. Bar.
Cons: Courtesy shuttle bus didn’t take us to Shinkansen stop at ShinKobe station (only available weekends apparently). Had to go with luggage via Shinnoya which is a complex walk. If we’d known we would have taken a cab.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, good location for harbor area. Longer walk to central area, or shuttle bus if bad weather.
Cons: The bar was somewhat souless.
6.3 Good
Pros: It’s central and with a nice view of the bay.
Cons: The furniture and finishes are old, and not the classy old. Cheap, lightweight furniture. Also, the computer facilities are shocking for this day and age.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The view from the room was great. The room itself was large and comfortable, if showing signs of wear. Cleanliness was far from the Japanese standard we have experienced elsewhere. This made the price seem too high.
Cons: The hotel needs a top to tail renovation. Everywhere there are signs of age. Dirty carpets (especially in the coffee shop). The overflow hole in our bathroom sink was disgusting and had clearly not been a part of routine cleaning in a long time! The skirt around the base of the bed was torn. We avoided eating in the hotel because we simply did not trust the cleanliness standards.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, Convenient shuttle bus, Perfect service
Cons: If you are sensitive to the sleeping environment, you must at least get some earplugs. There is a noise from exhaust duct in the bathroom every a few minute, spread into the room.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room size
Cons: The cost to use the pool Then there were rules we came too swim train but couldn’t use swim gear Unbelievable
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The shuttle bus really helps! And we are amazed with the kindness of reception staff who helped us to make a reservation to Ishida restaurant. Overall the hotel is just nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All good. Staff super
Cons: Loved it.
7.1 Good
Pros: Room had a great view. Cleanliness.
Cons: Pedestrian access is difficult.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great room with nice views! Excellent food with good taste! I will come back woon.
Cons: It was difficult to understand the kaiseki buffet system for us. I think tha it's better to prepare the manual of usage about kaiseki buffet for foreigners.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous room, incredibly comfortable and very spacious. Lovely rooftop onsen and wonderful buffet for breakfast and dinner.
Cons: shuttle to Shin Kobe station would be very helpful as using the subway is tricky with luggage
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The onsen was really amazingly good.
Cons: The view of our room was on the opposite side of the port. We were hoping to have the port view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible buffet breakfast, with so many choices! it would be nice to have the items labelled in English as well as Japanese, since we did not recognize many of them. Baths on first floor (open to public) were charming; baths on top floor had a great view. Room was lovely and our balcony overlooked the harbor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wow! Where do I start? The staff are very accomodating and proactive, delivering 5-star customer service. The views from the room were spectacular. We asked to have rooms close by to one another & they certainly delivered! We were able to drop our bags off before check in and they carried it up to our rooms. The rooftop onsen is a must.
Cons: The onsen ren is located far from the station. It's in a quiet area by the bay, we wish we knew that there was a shuttle bus operating from the train to the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was fabulous.
Cons: I have to pay more to get a magnificent view.
7.9 Good
Pros: nice view, clean and spacious bath.
Cons: room slightly small for 4
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food amazing, bed beautifully comfortable , spa massage( healing) was the best in my life)
Cons: N/a
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful onsen (hot springs) (one of the best onsen in Japan), good location, comfortable room
Cons: Only few vegetarian dishes in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast buffet)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are very large and clean. The have many hot spring baths, which are well maintained and monitored. The buffet staff is amazingly friendly and efficient.
Cons: The location is out of the way. The nearest train station is approx. 15-20 minutes away on foot. There Is nothing to do or see right around the hotel. Meriden Park is a 15 minute walk. While the restaurant staff is amazing (among the best we’ve ever experienced), the front desk staff needs training. As an example, we asked two simple questions about the Shin-Kobe station. After conferring with each other in Japanese, one said, “sorry we don’t know.” There was no offer to check or to try to assist. The lobby was entirely empty, and so it was not like they were so busy helping others that they couldn’t help us. I was surprised by this experience because at other hotels in Japan, the hotel front desk staff bent over backwards to help and find answers for us. The same staff also stood by and watched my wife and me lug 4 suitcases to the cab.

Pros: Beautiful lobby and great views over the harbour
Cons: Apart from the lobby and top bar the rooms are looking a bit sad and tired and bathroom needs updating or even just repainted. A bit of a trek into Kobe itself and wouldn’t advise eating at the restaurants as they are very expensive
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An excellent position right on the waterfront. Very friendly and helpful staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Located in Kobe Harbor, this hotel looks great and was perfect, great views and fresh sea air, just perfect, Breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets that we had on our 3 week trip to the Rugby World Cup, Great balcony that you can sit out on and catch the vibe, and the views, We had the Oriental restaurant Kobe Beef dinner on the 14th floor rooftop restaurant, although expensive, it was fab, the head chef was brilliant, the beef was cooked in front of us a the teppanyaki table, flames and theater and a very special anniversary dessert was the icing on the cake, thanks chef!!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The buffet meal was exceptional and very reasonable price. Loved this place. Planning to return
Cons: The shower over the bath is difficult for older guys and the bed was a bit hard for our taste. However would not stop us from coming again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and an overall nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and the shuttle transport to the train stations was helpful.
Cons: The rooms are very dated and need an upgrade. Once you step into the room its a bit like time travel into the 80's.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is excellent between the harbour and city centre.
Cons: The bed is terrible! You cab feel every spring pushing in your body. A futon bed would be even better. The room was very old, there was fungus in the bathroom, wallpaper was hanging loose... worst hotel we've had on our round trip in Japan!
6.7 Good
Pros: good location, free bus to jr station, 11:00 check out. bar can see nice night view, bed is soft.
Cons: bar staff a bit rude, onsen not hot enough
5.4 Okay
Pros: The public bath was OK. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Hotel has an old musty smell. My room was right next to a busy noisy highway.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s close to harbor and so clean...i love it
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the train station and within walking distance to the sea front
Cons: Breakfast was extra and expensive
7.1 Good
Pros: The shuttle service from/to Sanomiya Station is very convenient, especially because the hotel is a bit far (by feet) from de core of the city. Using the Hotel shuttle bus it only takes 10 to 15 minutes. The hotel personnel, especially the shuttle bus drivers, are very polite and gentle.
Cons: The hotel is a bit old, but clean and well conserved. I asked for a plug adapter and they did not have any. The wifi of my room was not working, so I have to connect to the wifi of another room, but it was OK. The shuttle bus has the hotel identification only in japanese characters, so for a foreigner it is almost impossible to identify the shuttle bus the first time.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It is fairly close to the station, has a nice onsen, decent breakfast and very friendly and helpful stuff.
Cons: It was expensive for what the hotel was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel. Close to downtown Kobe. Only 5 mins walking distance to Kobe port tower. With free wifi and free hot spring. Staffs are very friendly and nice. I forgot my package delivered from Amazon and the hotel is helping to send it to my home without any additional charge. I really appreciate it and sincerely apologize for my careless and the inconvenience. Special thanks to Kagawa san who informed me about my forgotten package.
7.1 Good
Pros: Onsen (hot public bath) in hotel is very nice and relaxing after busy day. Location is good. They have meeting space for business talks.
Cons: Parking is available for limited number of visitors and must be paid extra (1500¥ - not cheap). You should mention this on Booking.com. I had a parking because I did not move my car, but Saturday was parking lot full.
