10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the loveliest hotel we stayed in. The space was exceptional. And it couldn’t have been more convenient. Nothing to fault. The access from the JR Station is seamless, the rooms are large and comfortable, and all the spaces are immaculate. The staff were incredibly kind, and it was super helpful that a number of them spoke flawless English. Id definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Perfect location, just few minutes walk from Asahikawa Station and shopping area. The staff was very polite and helpful. It's a good place to stay for city explore.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: Bed
9.2 Excellent
Pros: There was a sofa in the room which made chilling extremely good!
Cons: The bed was quite hard and humidifier was extremely noisy - made me wake up quite a few times in the night
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value/price (I paid little above 30 €). Large room in the highest floor with awesome view. Very good hotel standards with plenty of services, fabulous communal bath, 50 m away from train station; quiet; noise insulation; warm room; compliant staff (accepted my request about passport photocopy) with acceptable English level.
Cons: Not a big con, but the bed was a bit hard, and some heat is lost because of insufficient window insulation, which is energy-inefficient.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast! Location! Services!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The central location was great. The room was very clean and recently refurbished, but a bit on the spartan side. That said, we enjoyed our stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were good size. Great onsen and breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It has a Japanese bath that you will enjoy most.
Cons: The air-conditioner in the room is hot, even though we set the room temperature down.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is right next to the Station in Asahikawa. It features a great public onsen. Staying there was a nice surprise. I did enjoy my time there. The room is typical for a japanese hotel. Breakfast was good and not too expensive. Parking for one day was 1000yen, so close to the station thats reasonable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great Onsen. Good location, only a few minutes walk from the train station. The hotel has a parking lot.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I like the fact that it is a non-smoking hotel. The distance to the JR Asahikawa Station is not far, but not as near as I would like to. The walk from and to the station is about 8 mins (outdoor walking). On a good day, it is fine, but not in winter. But the train station and adjacent AEON Mall is awesome! It is also great that the bus terminal is right outside the train station. I took a bus to Mt. Asahi and back (the journey each way takes about 1 hr 40 mins). The room is big and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was mediocre, and the bathroom is miserably small. The room size would still be reasonable if more space was allocated to the bathroom. I left behind a folder in the room and later sent an email to ask if the hotel could sent it back to me in Singapore via normal post. I could pay the cost via credit card. I know there is a post office at the Asahikawa Station. The hotel took the liberty and handed the matter to an agency, who was going to charge me JPY5,040 for sending the folder back to me. I did not accept and asked the hotel to send it to our Tokyo office instead, which would cost JPY1,500. So far, the hotel has not responded, which seems normal to them because this is not the first time they take a long time to reply to an email.

Pros: Very convenient location and staff very friendly. Room is nice and clean

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Yado Retro House Ginza Asahikawa - Hostel in Asahikawa, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Kamikawa Shrine and Asahikawa City Museum. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
7.9 Good
Pros: - The owner was extremely hospitable & helpful. - The last-minute availability and price, since my case was an emergency. - I think the blanket was the softest I've ever used.
Cons: The floors creaked a lot. I could hear the guests breathing in the next room. I didn't like any of this because I left before 7am, and I didn't want to wake anybody.
7.5 Good
Pros: The dude who runs the place is super chill and friendly. WiFi connection was great.
Cons: Top bunk of the bed is quite uncomfortable. It was difficult to get some much needed sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner is so lovely - he shared his food and drink with us and speaks excellent English. This hostel is more like a homestay and is very good to relax in and meet people. The beds are comfy and I was able to leave my luggage all day for free before my bus.
Cons: Kitchen and shower could be a little cleaner, it can be loud in the morning because the doors are thin
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff who were very accommodating. Cheap, but clean. I was the only one there, so it the narrowness didn’t bother me.
Cons: It was a bit narrow, and if it were fully booked, it might be a bit overwhelming.
7.1 Good
Pros: The host is very friendly and funny. You can keep your luggage after your check out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner, Satoru, is such an amazing person! Happy, friendly, helpful... He created a nice small cozy hostel where it's easy to talk to other people and to him as well. He speaks really well English and seems to be always smiling. It's not so far from the train station and from the main areas for food and shopping. Quite calm.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing host and a really authentic "retro house" experience. It gets a little cold at night, but the host wakes up really early to turn the heat on so you can be warm while eating breakfast. He made the stay very fun and enjoyable, I'll definetly try to book here again if I'm in the area :)
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The host was really friendly and the time in his guesthouse will be an important part of my life, even if I only stayed three nights...:)

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, good location and the free shuttles a nice touch
Cons: rather expensive for inhouse services and food
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb delicious and presentable breakfast, it is worth and value for money! The welcome drink with some wine and gas drink, as well as small gift to children were beyond expectation! The room is well decorated, same goes to the restaurant and the lobby, they looks spectacular!
Cons: Nope, it was all good. Just the parking that located outside the hotel (behind) is a little bit not comfortable as walking outside hotel may cause some inconvenient to us especially when snowing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Grand and Spacious lobby. The hotel provided free transportation to and fro to the Zoo as well as the Skiing area. About 10 mins of walk to the shopping mall and the bus terminal. They got us 2 rooms that were opposite each other. Love the kind arrangement.
Cons: More information on Skiing at least brochure in English is helpful. As the staffs over there cant really conversed in English. A pity we didn't went Skiing as we dont have enough information plus the staffs over there dont really understand English.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Waxing station for skis was really cool. Loved the view from the hotel. Having the shuttle to Kamui and Asahidake made the hotel affordable and was a more direct route to the resorts.
Cons: No pickup from the station offered. Perhaps the onsen could have been complimentary for guests rather than having to pay extra to use it? Also the complimentary shuttle to Asahidake should depart earlier as you only arrive at the ropeway at 11:10am and have missed the first two hours of the ski day.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Helpfulness of staff. Made sure I knew where buses left from. Way to go to get places. Great place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: No complaints! Great staff, quiet room, and old school charm.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free coffee and shuttle to the zoo. Staff were always helpful and opened the door to welcome us in out of the cold.

Cons: None

Pros: Liked the in-house onsen
Cons: Nothing in particular
6.0 Good
Pros: location
Cons: I wanted to find a hotel with nice onsen. This hotel seems like a good choice because it also has a sauna. But it was a disappointment. The hot bath has a pump so it is loud. It wasn't relaxing. The air conditioning in room doesn't really work. So the room is too warm. This place is old. I won't come back.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: we like the breakfast n onsen. very near to most of the restaurant. Asahikawa station just a walking distances to the hotel.
Cons: everything is just prefect to us.Even the room not so big but clean n the bed is just comfortable for us.worth more then the price we pay.

Pros: We lived on the 14th floor and the view was splendid! The room is clean and cosy. The bathroom is spacious compared with other hotel we lived before. The staffs only know a little bit of English, we could only communicate via Google translate, but they are kind and warm.
Cons: Breakfast and hot spring are not included in the accommodation fee, but the price is affordable.

Cons: less free shuttle bus service to main station

Located in Asahikawa, Hotel Crescent Asahikawa is within a 15-minute walk of Asahikawa Museum of Art and Tokiwa Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: It had a great location and easy parking around.
Cons: The room and corridor were tatty with wallpaper and carpet torn and in places dangerous.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is near JR station.
Cons: The room is old and run down and the mattress is too soft.
6.7 Good
Pros: •Good wifi coverage, high floor has good view.
Cons: •room is too stuffy and hot even with just level 1 setting of heater knob. We cannot adjust as it is centralised. Windows can’t open any tiny gap as we are on high floor. We had to open the toilet door which has an exhaust fan to cool the room and switch off the heater. Then in the middle of the night it became cold. •Chargeable car park usage but not many car park lots for hotel guests. One evening we just managed to get the last parallel lot, a huge MPV blocked the inner part of an empty car park space.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The price is cheap for a room for 4.
Cons: It was a non-smoking room but they still put ash trays in it which showed it is not a non-smoking room. Generally the room is a bit dark. And as they squeeze 4 beds into one room, there was hardly space for luggage. it is not near the station but as we were driving it didn't matter to us. They did not have a drive in area for us to drop us and the luggage off, we had to park nearby and then tow our luggage in. But with the low prices they offer you can't expect too much. We were only staying for the night(sort of stop over rest) so I would still consider it a good deal but if you are not driving, I would suggest a hotel nearer to the station.
7.5 Good
Cons: Staff was not quite good in communication in English.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location and all the staffs were hospitable and polite.
Cons: Bathroom and the Airpot. Disappointing
