10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, breakfast Near the convenience store Close to JR station They also provided a free mobile phone to access for location etc outside the hotel
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel located a short walk from JR Asahikawa Station. All Twin Rooms have a great view of the railway south of the station. The staff we perfect and most spoke fluent English. The bathhouse on the second floor was also fantastic with a massage center as well!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel and friendly staff.
Cons: Cost 4 times as much as the WBF in Hakodate for about the same quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quick efficient check in by friendly helpful front office staff.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Near the train station, breakfast has many kinds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance from JR station. The Receptionists helped us to secure Translators, jumbo taxi from Asahikawa to Chitose. We received fresh sets of toiletries even though we have indicated not to clean up the room.
Cons: None.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and parking lot adjacent hotel more convenient to access than a tower car park. Great food. Close to railway station and Aeom Mall.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I like the fact that it is a non-smoking hotel. The distance to the JR Asahikawa Station is not far, but not as near as I would like to. The walk from and to the station is about 8 mins (outdoor walking). On a good day, it is fine, but not in winter. But the train station and adjacent AEON Mall is awesome! It is also great that the bus terminal is right outside the train station. I took a bus to Mt. Asahi and back (the journey each way takes about 1 hr 40 mins). The room is big and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was mediocre, and the bathroom is miserably small. The room size would still be reasonable if more space was allocated to the bathroom. I left behind a folder in the room and later sent an email to ask if the hotel could sent it back to me in Singapore via normal post. I could pay the cost via credit card. I know there is a post office at the Asahikawa Station. The hotel took the liberty and handed the matter to an agency, who was going to charge me JPY5,040 for sending the folder back to me. I did not accept and asked the hotel to send it to our Tokyo office instead, which would cost JPY1,500. So far, the hotel has not responded, which seems normal to them because this is not the first time they take a long time to reply to an email.
Dormy Inn Asahikawa Natural Hot Spring - Asahikawa - Building

S$ 77+

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Free ramen was the bomb
Cons: The hotel should post a more clearer parking map so guest could locate easier.
7.0 Good
Pros: The met the same standards, as others Dormy properties
Cons: The room was stuffed with a California King into the room...the person sleeping next to the window had to crawl over the other person because there was no walking space. I had a translation breakdown with the front staff. I wanted to send 5 takkyubin bags to the Chitose airport. The departure time was some 32 hours later. The front staff failed to tell that it needed at least 48 hours of advanced notice. I was 1-3/4 hours outside of Asahikawa, on my way to another resort property....when they called (some 5 hours later) to say that my baggage delivery will not be possible!! I had to return to Dormy Asahikawa, 200km and a 3hour round trip!! It’s fortunate that I had a rent a car and not on a train!! All they could offer was a refund for the payment and ‘I’m so sorry’?? Really?? Gasoline, time spent, no lunch and the mental stress. No, the staff needs some retraining. The 2020 Olympics are just around the corner and ‘lost in translation’ situations will occur. Very unfortunate and disappointing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good concept, this is the second Dormy inn we stayed in and they are more or less the same. Nice onsen, confortable rooms with fridge & kettle and free coffee in the lobby. Location about 15 mins walk from station.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is ideal with restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
Cons: The room is a bit small
7.5 Good
Pros: Whole systems are same as other Dormy Inn hotels. Good "Big Bath" and others. There is very good yaki-dori restaurant near the hotel.
Cons: Nope.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: About 10-15 minutes by walk from JR Asahikawa station. Excellent breakfast, nice local restaurants nearby. Open-air bath avaiable.
Cons: Small size rooms, but I was aware of that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like Dormy Inns because the rooms are well designed (not big—but efficient). Onsen on top floor spacious. And free self-laundry. I tend to skip the 9:30 pm noodles as I want to try local ramen—but for some that would be another big selling point. Parking is easy and cheaper than nearby lots. Staff friendly.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, roomy onsen pools (open air in the rain especially nice)
Cons: Dormy Inns no longer have multi-headed electronics chargers in the room, they were so handy on previous stays
5.8 Okay
Pros: Onsens were great
Cons: Bed against the wall
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel is clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. They recommended a restaurant nearby which was really nice. There is also a 24hrs coin laundry, about 7 mins walk from the hotel.
Cons: Twin room was too small. I had to squeeze my luggage under the table. Light sensor at sink area turns off too fast.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The host is so friendly and inviting and truly made my time here special. His welcoming atmosphere was the highlight of my time in Asahikawa. I strongly recommend staying here!
6.7 Good
Pros: I travelled with my mother, and the owner placed us in his house itself which is behind the hostel . It is very comfortable as it is exactly the experience of staying in a Japanese house which I wanted.
Cons: The bedroom we stayed in is dusty on the bed post and shelves. There is a karaoke joint opposite which is loud extending into the wee hours of the morning. The signage of this hotel is subdued. I actually walked past it at first.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly host and good location.
Cons: No storage space for bags, little space to hang clothes in room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very run down and low ceiling, lack amenities
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner is so lovely - he shared his food and drink with us and speaks excellent English. This hostel is more like a homestay and is very good to relax in and meet people. The beds are comfy and I was able to leave my luggage all day for free before my bus.
Cons: Kitchen and shower could be a little cleaner, it can be loud in the morning because the doors are thin
7.5 Good
Pros: Owner is a lovely man
Cons: Little bit old style of house.
7.9 Good
Pros: - The owner was extremely hospitable & helpful. - The last-minute availability and price, since my case was an emergency. - I think the blanket was the softest I've ever used.
Cons: The floors creaked a lot. I could hear the guests breathing in the next room. I didn't like any of this because I left before 7am, and I didn't want to wake anybody.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Just a few steps from the bus stop. Owner is nice and very accomodating
Cons: It was not mentioned that the close the reception and only open it at 2pm so if you arrive early you have to stay outside or go somewhere else with all of your luggage. The place is a bit old and run down. Also bus option how to get there was not mentioned for easy access since bus stop is vey near. I only learned about tagt option when I checked the bus sched on the stop itself and ask bus drivers at the station.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The host is friendly
Cons: The location is very far away from the main JR station in the city. Maybe it is a peak season, the room I was assigned is just terrible, it is more like a store room。
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I arrived late at night after a long flight and train ride. When I asked about dinner options in the area, the owner kindly offered to heat up some of his own food for me! The accommodation had a homely feel about it, with a nice kitchen and lounge area, and everything was spotlessly clean.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Front Desk staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Hotel renovate and re-open in Apr 2018, lobby area is very stylish, however guest room still in old style which out of our expection. The bedside panel is very old style, guest room equipment seems do not renvoate at all. Not value for money.

Pros: Staff willing to take you around
Cons: Not enough car park lot
5.0 Okay
Pros: Lobby and public area. Also the external appearance of hotel.
Cons: Room is not as shown on booking.com when I made booking. It’s rather small for 4 people. Besides, front staff was reluctant to arrange breakfast despite booking.com confirmation page showing ‘meal plan’ is included.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: No complaints! Great staff, quiet room, and old school charm.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is great, rooms are clean and staff are great. This hotel has a very nice feel.
Cons: I am very disappointed that the 17th floor is not a roof top bar... the bar downstairs is average. The original roof top bar gave this hotel the X factor. The food drinks and view was amazing. The roof top bar was one of the reasons we luved coming to Asahikawa. The other disappointing feature is the lounge area does not serve any beer or food. Looks like the accountants have made decisions that have affected how this hotel used to feel. A massive shame.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything was good, especially breakfast and the staffs for the restaurant.
Cons: Rooms were narrow than I expected.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room is very nice with everything well-equipped, like USB charge pin just beside your bed. The decoration in the reception floor is beautiful. A lot of choices of food in breakfast.
Cons: Just a little bit stupid and inconvenient for car drivers to drive from the entrance to the car park.
6.7 Good
Pros: Efficient check in & check out
Cons: Staff service especially the onsen. The lady was rude.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: enjoyed the onsen location was fantastic clean
Cons: we were travelling with an infant and there was no provision for a cot and the double bed was a challenge
6.7 Good
Pros: Very convenient location, hotel room was small but expected.
Cons: When we first arrived at the hotel, a staff immediately directed us to a paid parking location that cost about 300 yen per hour. Upon checking in, the staff informed us that hotel parking was full and we had to park at another location about 4 minutes walk away. The parking location was not the same as the one the staff had directed us and we wasted 300 yen for nothing. We were already paying 1050 yen for our daily parking fee as required by the hotel. Honestly, we felt annoyed that we had to waste the money for nothing just because the hotel parking was full. Couldn’t we have parked the car outside the hotel while checking in? Especially since we wasted quite a bit of time trying to communicate with the staff who spoke practically no English at all. When we asked the staff if we were allowed re-entry for the 1050 parking a night, the staff said something along the lines of no, we have to pay 1050 again if we want to re-enter, which basically sounded ridiculous. It took us about 25 minutes trying to communicate and clarify with her before an English speaking staff finally confirmed with us that we are allowed to leave and enter the parking area with no extra charge.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very good breakfast and onsen.
Cons: bed smell of the carpet.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Primier Hotel Cabin is a Japanese chain hotel. The one in Asahikawa is centrally located near the main shopping street. It has also got onsen facilities in the basement level. They also provide with traditional japanese clothes for going to onsen. The view from the window of the mountains and the town was fantastic. Wifi signal was good during our stay
Cons: The carpet was a little old. We were 3 people in a room which was a little cramp. There is a car park on site but is not included in the price of the hotel.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: 1. Free Onsen 2. Alarm clock
Cons: 1. Bad air-conditioner, stay overnight with sweat. 2. Pyjamas very old and look not clean
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located one block away from the JR Station. Small hotel with adequate facilities and helpful staffs. The breakfast is nice with great food and drinks.
Cons: Nil
6.0 Good
Pros: location
Cons: I wanted to find a hotel with nice onsen. This hotel seems like a good choice because it also has a sauna. But it was a disappointment. The hot bath has a pump so it is loud. It wasn't relaxing. The air conditioning in room doesn't really work. So the room is too warm. This place is old. I won't come back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Near to JR station walking distance of about 5-7mins. Slightly difficult to find. Clean rooms and great facilities
Cons: Nothing much, the reception perhaps should learn to speak more english and perhaps recommend places of visit to tourists? Just suggesting
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is very good with few of minutes walking distance from JR station. Hot spring is an additional value included in the price, breakfast is excellent.
Cons: Room is small although we upgraded but it is a standard in Japan.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is within 5 mins walking distance from the Asahikawa station. Onsen was very well equipped, there were two large onsen that gets switched for male/female usage every alternate days.
Cons: Table and bedframe used in the hotel are old

Pros: Spacious room with good comfort level
Cons: Breakfast should be complimentary in a prestigious hotel like this.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pretty decent place. I stayed at the triple bed room with family and kids <6 yo.
Cons: Cleanliness is my concern. There is small blood stained on the quilt cover as well as the beddings which goes unnoticed. However the service to replace a new set of bedding is immediate. Hope they will review the SOP again. Overall is still a decent and good place to stay. This maybe just a one-off issue.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room good in every way apart from lack of floor space; somewhere to put two suitcases.
6.3 Good
Pros: Above all, the breakfast is excellent and the attitude of the staff is adorable.
Cons: There was humping sound occasionally coming out from the central air condition system. And it is a pity that Onsen opens at 11 am.

Cons: Poor English service. Parking is 1000yen per night, more expensive than nearby parking lot.

Cons: The hotel should check room condition fix the problem before guest check in in such as air condition. Air condition in the room that we stay did not work , so staff give us the fan. Luckily that the weather is not too hot. The door is difficult to open with the key. Improve English communication.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: The car park attendent has very bad attitute and is the worst i ever encountered in my whole Hokkaido trip. We were there when it was raining and we ask him to provide the receipt for the hotel and he was very rude as we do not speak Japanese. On 2nd attemp after we went around, he even told us no car park when we approached him ! For people who drive, unloading the lugguages at hotel is a big problem.
7.9 Good
Pros: It had a great location and easy parking around.
Cons: The room and corridor were tatty with wallpaper and carpet torn and in places dangerous.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is near JR station.
Cons: The room is old and run down and the mattress is too soft.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing Very old and out of age hotel impossible to open the window ! and you can do nothing except suffocating !! outside -8 degrees. AC provide only HOT air
Cons: Prison or jail room, without fresh air
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spa
Cons: A little bit far from the Tomakomai Station but the hotel provide taxi on request
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel location
Cons: If you would like to use onsen, you have to pay more. Lobby area only smell smoking. Staff could not speak English.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The price is cheap for a room for 4.
Cons: It was a non-smoking room but they still put ash trays in it which showed it is not a non-smoking room. Generally the room is a bit dark. And as they squeeze 4 beds into one room, there was hardly space for luggage. it is not near the station but as we were driving it didn't matter to us. They did not have a drive in area for us to drop us and the luggage off, we had to park nearby and then tow our luggage in. But with the low prices they offer you can't expect too much. We were only staying for the night(sort of stop over rest) so I would still consider it a good deal but if you are not driving, I would suggest a hotel nearer to the station.
7.5 Good
Cons: Staff was not quite good in communication in English.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff is good Nice hotel Clean room, enough personal space Cleaning room everyday personal belonging is safe -> good
Cons: Location is little far from station Toilet is not good water temperature is unstable sometimes cold sometimes is extreme hottt!!!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location of hotel is just next street to shopping lane and food cafe. I was given free entry to roof top spa every night of my stay.
Cons: Nil.

6.7 Good
Pros: Decent accommodation with friendly counter staff with 24hr check in. Had lift to 2nd floor. Although our room was non-smoking, could smell the smoke along the corridor when we walk to our room from the lift. Room was small but ok, bed was comfy, pretty standard stuff. Room was clean, shower too, and had good heat and flow. Plenty of parking close to the hotel.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: - The bed. - The 24-hr check-in desk - They held onto my bag at the front desk, then they moved it into my room when they cleaned said room. - The convenience store is a Godsend! - Check-out time is 11am, not 10 am. I could sleep in. ;-)
