Pros: The location was in a safe part of town, although getting there from the train station was like any urban metro area, kinda rundown. The place was so clean, and hosts so welcoming. I felt so safe being there by myself. Cristina even offered to make a dinner reservation for me on my first night to get me started on my trip in Catania. I would recommend this b&b to any friend who goes to catania.

Breakfast was fantastic, a bit too gargantuan for someone who usually does not eat in the morning, but this is NOT a complaint! :-) Great value for the money!

Pros: Location super central! Extremely professional and welcoming owner. Clean and large room and bathroom with personality. Good price. Very quiet aircon that you control yourself. Cool UNESCO listed building. Lots of charm.
Cons: Very noisy - old building, could hear neighbour's every word, and the fan, flush, footsteps etc. from rooms adjacent and above. Also people coming and going outside my door. A few times it was so loud I thought somebody was actually IN my room. But street noise was really limited, and with earplugs you would probably be fine.

Pros: Excellent location, great communication with Carmelo, room was in nice sicilian style :)
Cons: Although double window, I heard noises from a bar, which is located very close.

Pros: The size of the room was great and the location of the room couldn't be any more central. The bedding was ever so comfortable.
Cons: Be ready for 2 flight of stairs. The planks of the bedroom platform were squeaking all night as soon as you moved in your bed. The shower enclosure needs some maintenance

7.9 Good
Pros: Location, room space
Cons: Some small renovation works should be carried on in the rooms to bring the hotel to the next level (I.e. painting)
6.3 Good
Pros: Personal was nice.
Cons: Extremely bad window isolation. You can hear everything from the street. I booked breakfast, but then they told me it is not included.
4.0 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: the hotel is almost run down. It desperately needs to be renovated
4.6 Okay
Pros: At the breakfast time you can get free glass of cava. Kept our luggages free of charge because of the late flight Staff while complaining putted some efforts to fix it Felt safe even the homeless people were sleeping almost by the door of the entrance of it
Cons: I have booked the room with the mountain Etna view and a balcony. I have payed more money just to have exactly that room for the very special occasion. They have upgraded me for the suit, but it was just a room with the ugly street view, just a bigger than regular. If I would have a chance and I would just cancel it. Beds were absolutely uncomfortable and the wallpapers were falling apart. Room carpets seems were cleaned properly long time ago and I started having dust allergy (I have small asthma). I am not even talking about dusty curtains. Reception - absoltely useless. When we have asked for the nice beach close by we were guided to some black sand beach with big waves, which is 15 min away. We have walked around 2 hours searching, but the ones around were just rocks or just kinda sandish with a fresh fish seller and come cats around. After making a pit stop at the coffee place and checking google we figured out that the nice one is 25 min drive from where we were. If you ever decide to stay in here just know that reception doesn't know much or doesn't really care. Breakfast for the value of money was absolutely dissapointing as for example coffee of one of our days was finished (more than 1 hour before the breakfast has been finished) as some other things. The staff was just relaxing and having their breakfast just by the side of the guests. Not a good selection of vegetables, just 4 kinds - two types of low quality letuce, worse ever seen tomatoes in Catania and something more what I don't remember. Even boiled eggs were not fresh!!! A bit of fruit, some juice, wafles and so on. No avena flakes, just kellogs style stuff. Looks good from far away. Would highly recomend places for food around the hotel. You will be surprised how good it is comparing to what you are getting in a hotel. Shower in a room was barelly alive as no water preasure and it takes some time to regulate it, sink was clogged.
6.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: Room condition not very good - mainly wall coverings peeling off, worn and just a bit 'tired". Breakfast very good, dinner was very poor. Bar service excellent.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, bathroom comfortable, breakfast good, all staff very helpful. Great Location and car parking and guest pick up access was very convenient. The overall hotel building was quite grand however, generally needs restoration throughout.
Cons: Carpet and furniture throughout was very dated and threadbare. Elevators not safe, due to door closure not sensitive to obstruction either by a person or object. Room/Door was squeaky, Light fittings were loose and coming away from the walls. Again, the building is quite grand and is in dire need of updating to it's former glory.

Pros: Location is good. Bathroom was clean.
Cons: Property is on the upper floors and carrying baggages there is not the best thing to do.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The hotel itself looked great and the staff were helpful.
Cons: After mistakenly making a reservation for one month too late, we politely requested a waiver of the 100% cancellation fee that this hotel (and far too many others) charge. This was still with one month to go before the dates we booked. The owner refused to make an exception. We would have been happy with a 50% reduction. In the owner's defence: we knew about the cancellation fees at the time of booking. However, this does not change the fact that insisting on a 100% cancellation fee one month before a booking (which almost certainly would have been filled otherwise) is disrespectful by any definition of the word, and a manifestation of one of the worst faces of capitalism: greed. I hope it was worth the 50€.

Cons:
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: The hotel is located in a nice location, the rooms are mediocre and there was a horrid stench coming from the bathroom. But this is nothing in the face of horrors we faced during the night. At 10 pm our walls began to tremble under the bass and loud music of the night/strip club DIRECTLY BELOW OUR ROOM. Along with the music came intermissions from loud moron/hypeman screaming into microphone. THIS WENT ON UNTIL 5 am, reception closes on 8 pm so there is literally nothing you can do to stop this nightmare. This was unbearable and soured a very nice day in this Sicilian city. If you value your sleep and well-being please reconsider booking this hotel. I created this account sorely for the purpose of warning other people if I can save even one person from this experience I will be content.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Very dirty
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were very helpful by organising transport.
Cons: Security of the room as the door was damaged and didn’t lock properly. It was noisy due to a club next door.
