Make sure to check office hours
Pros: Airport desk able to accommodate on no notice. Appreciated that.
Cons: Booked with off airport site Enterprise office cheaper (or so I thought). Booked 12pm p/u arrived 12:20 pm only to find out officed closed 12 pm. No notice from kayak or enterprise of potential problem picking up at that time. After a $48 Roundtrip taxi ride back to airport to rent from there. Disappointing.

Rented a car for 5 hours
Pros: The rep at the Enterprise counter suggested I go online to get the best deal. Kayak.com showed a bunch of options and made it easy.
Cons: I think it's ludicrous to pay $100 or more to rent a car for one day.
Pros: Snowy road conditions made it hard to travel in the 2WD car we rented; they allowed us to turn it in several hours late (to allow as much time as possible for the snow to melt) without additional charge.

Hertz was over-booked and cancelled my reservation!
Cons: Due to high demand over the 4th of July weekend, Hertz in Eugene was cancelling any reservation that wasn't picked up within 1 hour of the reservation's "pick-up time"... Unbelievable. First time I've ever seen this happen. I had made the reservation months in advance. The reservation system won't even let you set a specific pick-up time, only the hour of the day. Just a warning to other travelers to be careful about this on high-demand holidays.

We Don't Have Anything Else to Offer in Your Class
Cons: Guy offered me a car with 1/4 tank of gas. I asked for a car with more gas so I din't have to go straight to the gas station, but was told they didn't have ANYTHING else. Went out to get the car and saw that my car had no hubcaps. Requested something more "together looking...like the exact same car next to it in white with hubcaps!" Note. Remember they didn't have ANYTHING else? Oh...and it had 3/4 of a tank of gas! The whole experience was lacking in proper customer service. I'm sure the guy renting to me is planning his personal exit from the business and doesn't care. No thanks, HERTZ, I'll use Enterprise and let them try to up sell me rather than deal with this flunky location.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!! THEY DIDN'T HAVE A CAR FOR ME
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: I made my reservation in March but when we arrived in Eugene on June 6 - they did not have a car for me leaving us stranded at the airport. They basically told us too bad - and did nothing to help us out. We couldn't even get a cab on such short notice - there was a 2 hour wait. Anyway - a random, single cab just happened to pull up and was able to get us to the dealership 20 minutes before it closed. $40 in cab fare and an additional $250 later (for the same day, emergency rental from a dealership) we had a car.
Fast forward to drop off - our flight was at 6 am and the dealership was closed which then left us stranded at the dealership unable to get to the airport. Luckily - we have very good friends who agreed to get up at 3 am to pick us up and take us to the airport. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. They have no problem leaving you high and dry. To be fair - they did offer a discounted voucher for our next Hertz Rental. I told them no thanks. There will not be a next Hertz Rental.

Great value but poor experience
Pros: The condition of the car was great. It was new, clean, and efficient. Exactly what i wanted and needed.
Cons: It looked like Hertz overbooked their rentals and i almost got turned away. it would have completely ruined my trip if i had but i was lucky an employee took pitty on me. The drop off experience was rough - the location was closed at 2pm on sunday when i was supposed to drop off and i was not previously notified or instructed how to leave the car. I called the 1-800 number but the person that answered did not know what to do. I drove to the airport because this process had made me late by an hour and dropped off the car there. Luckily the person that helped me was very kind and only charged me a reasonable drop off fee (which technically wasn't my fault but considering my rush, i was not willing to argue further.)

I will NEVER use again!
Pros: There was nothing to like, except the booking process.
Cons: I booked a car two months in advance to use in Eugene, OR. When I flew into Eugene from Hawaii, I was informed they did not have any car available even though I reserved it two months in advance. This was poor service and planning on Hertz. A few days later I was able to get a car at Alamo. Alamo was GREAT!
Cons: Thought I was renting from Avis at the airport. Found out my pickup location was 5 miles AWAY from airport. Airport location wouldn't honor pricing of other location. Extremely inconvenient - had to take a taxi to puck up my car! Won't rent from them again!

The car was great, but there was some miscommunica
Pros: The 4runner was perfect for my trip.
Cons: My rental was set to be picked up at 12pm. I had seen a 2pm option but I figured I could make it at 12. Anyways I called in to check and apparently my reservation was moved to another location that closed right at 12pm, and i wouldn't have been able to pick my car up until the next day. I had to pay an EXTRA $100 to move it to another location. Not cool.

Cons: Price seemed like a great deal, but when you realize the facility is not at the airport and add in the cost of transport to and from the facility, ended up more than renting direct with Avis by a significant amount.

What customer service.
Cons: I flew into Eugene, Or. on July 4th. Arrived at Avis counter and was informed my rental was not from the airport location. He turned away and would not help me ! I rented a taxi to the other site and found it CLOSED for the holiday. I had to use the taxi to get into town and still had no car.

Pros: They didn't have the size vehicle we reserved so they upgraded us to a size up for free.
Cons: When I booked the rental I put down the airport I wanted to pick up at and drop off at. When we arrived in Eugene we found out that they booked our rental off site and had to take a taxi to get our rental.
Cons: The car smelled like a urinal cake - some sort of artificial fruity stuff. IT was POTENT. My clothes smelled like it! We left the windows down whenever possible.

Great Car, Great service!
Pros: Great Car...fast pickup. I was out the door within 5 minutes. The weather was horrible (sleet/ice) so getting in the car and out of town to head south was really important to me. The car (a Tahoe) was brand new and a great choice for this type of weather. I really loved that there was no drop fee on my one way trip to Medford. Staff at both locations were great and efficient. Highly recommend.

Easy and fast!
Pros: I walked right up, no line. They had all my paperwork.
Car was waiting in good condition. I was off the plane and in my car driving away in less than 15 mins.
It's a small airport but the service was cheerful and good.

Cons: Website kept giving an error message so after 3 times entering my credit card details, I gave up. Called the local number, no one took the call. Rented from another company.
Cons: The communication with the people who worked there was atrocious. They told me the wrong date and time to bring the car back (but listed the correct time on the contract), misquoted me the price for towing insurance, would not answer the phone when I called to make a change to my rental, did not record the change I had made by phone, and tried to charge me twice for everything. I don't usually write negative reviews but this service merits one.

Cons: Customer service was mediocre. Not rude but not friendly.

Pros: I thought the Hyundai Accent was roomy for its size and
I was able to get 35 miles per gallon. I wasn't expecting
much from the Hyundai but it was actually quite fun
to to drive. Power was fairly good for a small engine
car. Picking up and dropping the car off with Alamo was
very easy at the Eugene Airport. We were in a rainforest
in Oregon and the tires were good, never felt any slippage.
