Pros: The car was clean and ready at the pick up time. It was exactly as described. The customer service was great as well.

Cons: I paid 200 euros and booked a car. When I got there with all the additions and blabla ended up paying 400 euros!!!! It's just too much and it happens every time

Cons: I followed your suggestion bought an insurance to cover my rental vehicle at Eurocar rental.
The policy number is PL11319420303 of Allianz Global Assistance.
But at the rental company, a lady rep. said I have no insurance and almost force me to buy their own insurance. I told her I have an insurance when I booked and paid my contract. She still says I need one , otherwise I will get trouble. Finally, she charged me higher security deposit for did not buy Eurocar own insurance.
It is every bad business action to the customers.

Bait and switch
Cons: First, the counter person was insistent that I had to take the vehicle that they were offering, which was nowhere near what I had requested. They lied to us, saying that they did not have another vehicle, until I told them to cancel the reservation, and went and stood on the Avis line. Then, all of a sudden, another vehicle popped up, miraculously. They still charged the same price, as if a luxury vehicle, and over charged for the insurance. I do not feel that we should have even been charged for the vehicle which I turned in less than 24 hours after getting it. Very bad experience, very poor customer service, not the way to start any vacation.

Car pick up in Malaga Airoort
Pros: The car was very nice and new.
Cons: Woman showing us to car was awful! I rented the car and did contract at airport, but she would only speak to my husband.
Very odd, to only speak to males. I ask to take her name to speak to manager and she took off her name tag and wouldn’t show it to me. I told her I’d take her photo then and she tried to grab my camera. Bizarre! Be careful women!
Also did not have car size reserved and had to pay more to upgrade.
Pros: That I hadn't actually put money down-that it was only a hold. That way I could walk away and find another rental car option.
Cons: These were the main problems:
1) ACE is not ACE: That Ace was separately named GoldCar with no link anywhere showing that they were connected-I called their phone with no answer over and over. The signs at the airport for over 10 different rental companies-did not state that ACE was a part of Goldcar- in fact, nothing indicated that they were it. After spending 30 minutes asking different rental car companies who ACE was partnered with, I finally found out it was Goldcar.
2) BREAKING POLICY: They charged beyond what the booking fee was with a strange fuel policy charging me 140Euros (for a fiat) which was not on my booking. When I showed them my booking they still said "sorry, we are not ace so you'll use our policy instead." This was not what I signed up for.
3) DUBIOUS ADDED COSTS: They wanted a deposit of over 1,000Euros as security for the car, or a 60Euro insurance fee. This was far beyond what my full coverage 72Euro booking was supposed to be.
I left in the end. KAYAK should definitely not work with such companies or advertise them as an option.

Cons: Arrived in Malaga to not find Ace. Not could I not find them but no one had even heard about them.
Ended up renting a car from another company.

Disaster from the start
Cons: When I rented the car with ACE - there was NO mention that ACE is actually Gold Car in Malaga. When I tried to ask for help, no one knew what I was talking about and had never heard of ACE. I kept showing the confirmation, which clearly had the ACE logo, name and confirmation number. Not anywhere on my reservation did it state that Gold Car was a code partner. This debacle took over an hour to solve after I had to call the office (after waiting on hold for 45 minutes). Finally found the Gold Car pick up desk and was told I had to buy additional insurance, even though I bought insurance through Allianz once I rented the car, which cost an unexpected 150 Euros. The customer service woman at the desk was so unfriendly and clearly hates her job and made for an already frustrating experience completely unbearable.
It was very difficult to find the car in the labyrinth of cars in the parking garage. no one was down there to assist. Once I finally found the car, I was shocked to see that it was a manual and not an automatic. Luckily, I know how to drive a stick but I kept thinking that if this were any of my friends, they'd be screwed since they don't know how to drive one. Again, there was no mention of this on the reservation or gave me an option to choose manual over automatic when i booked the car. My ability to drive a stick was my only saving grace in this whole unfortunate, unpleasant experience. I will never rent a car under these conditions again.

Surprise Charges and bad service
Pros: Car was clean, comfortable and was able to take us to our desired destinations.
Cons: Complete false advertising. i rented for unlimited mileage and was restricted to only 1000km for my travels. It was at least 100km to most of my destinations to my recent journey in Southern Spain. Ace Rental was not even the company i was to rent with and had to find out that it was actually Gold Car who had very poor customer service at the counter. The guy was a jerk and charged me an extra 60 Euros and would not telll me what for. I hated the service provided here.
Cons: Listed price was just a few pounds. It was not made clear that there was a 30 euro "service charge" for filling the car with petrol - payable even if you returned car full.
Total rip off by your site and the company

Cons: I cannot believe I was charged €30 for a "fuel admin fee" despite returning the car full of petrol! Awful.

Very long wait to collect the car
Pros: Car was as described, drop off was very easy and well sign posted, you can collect the car with a full tank of fuel. Competitive price.
Cons: There is an extra fuel charge, even if you bring back the car full. Two and a half hour wait at the airport in a very big queue to collect the car. Staff did not explain that the car was parked in the Europecar area which meant it took us a long time to find. Car smelt a bit strange but other than that was clean.
Cons: It was very difficult to find a pick up and drop off place at both airports. I was extremely frustrated!

Pros: The service rep in Malaga was very nice and very helpful
Cons: Poor functioning car. Low tire pressure. Multiple notices about service which was due. Had to fill one tire 4 times during trip
Malaga noted car as no damage. Madrid counted all minor scratches and door nicks and tried to charge me for them. They were aggressive and unfriendly.
We were told the car was red and in a certain space number. The car was gray and in a different number and I wonder if they mixed up keys
I rent cars frequently and from Hertz and this whole situation and car will steer me away from Hertz and Avis forever.

Cons: Misleading fuel option from the pickup agent. I ended up returning the car with a full tank of gas just to learn I somehow agreed to pay for an entire additional full tank of gas. I expect more from hertz.
Cons: The Insurance was outrageous; I did not have that same cost in Italy; I was extremely disappointed and asked for less expensive cost; he upgraded the original car to help but cost was prohibitive
