When you are deciding on which care to hire for your Menton holiday, take a few factors into consideration. The terrain is not that challenging to warrant hiring a SUV, and you can drive comfortably in a compact or sedan vehicle on the motorways and smaller roads. When it comes to budget, you will definitely save money with the fuel consumption of a compact car, but the taste and holiday atmosphere may inspire you to hire something a bit more lavish such as a convertible.

In France, it is vital you stick to the speed limits at all times as you won’t get away with speeding just because you are a tourist. Use the signs as your guide and note that they do suddenly drop in certain places so be alert. Urban areas will allow 19 mph (30 km) as these are the main pedestrian routes. Larger main roads in the city are 30 mph (50 km), while large rural roads go up to 50 mph (80 km). Highways and motorways allow for 80 mph (130 km).

Parking your Menton car hire will be quite easy as there are many Pay and Display street parking spots near the beaches and surrounding areas. In the centre of the town, it is harder as many streets do not allow vehicles to even make use of the roads and lanes. You will be able to find parking lots in hotels, shopping centres and other buildings, as well as private parking garages. Parking Old Town Sablettes is good for the beach and you can find many other spots near the Marina.
