Pros: Check in was easy. The car was nice and clean and was very fuel efficient. Drop off was easy too.Cons: The car was smaller than I expected. We reserved the largest option available for what we planned to bring person and luggage wise (SUV). It was a tight fit with our luggage and passengers.

Pros: The car was nice but much smaller than They advertised. Said it’s a car for 5 people and 2 suitcases. I could fit one suitcase in the trunk. The second had to be placed on the Backseat. Therefore it is more a car for 3 if one Has 2 suitcases.Cons: This car is not a midsize but a Small size. The garage where the pickup is Has terrible lighting and it’s Therefore very difficult to inspect The car before driving off.

One of the best car rental experiences I've hadPros: The agent who helped us was incredible. We messed up and forgot about time zones and time differences and booked a reservation for June 30th, when we wouldn't arrive in Norway till July 1. She was incredibly flexible, found a car (a BMW!!) that was nicer than the one we reserved, and was able to give us a significant discount. It was still a bit more expensive than the original car we reserved, but not by much. Everything was easy. The car was clean and ran very smoothly. The price was GOOD. I have spent more money on rentals in the US for a long weekend than we did for 10 days in Norway. Highly recommend!

My car given awayCons: When i got to my final destination. They told me it was given away and tried putting me into another car that was $450 more almost $700. I was able to get a Hertz rental- they should never give a car to someone else.

Forced upgrade and unexpected chargesPros: We drove a Volvo V70 in great condition.Cons: I was an hour late for pick up and they had given away my car claiming this standard practice and comparing it to a hotel giving away your room if your are late (which has never happened to me). The only option they offered was an upgrade from a compact car to a luxury station wagon at 300NOK extra a day. They agreed on reducing the additional charge to 100NOK a day because they had made no attempt to contact me before giving away my car, but the whole experience was very negative. Between the upgrade, extra mileage, and the unexpected daily toll system fee, our rental cost double the price quoted on kayak.

Great Experience with SixtPros: The Ford Galaxy was great for my group of 5 adults. The diesel motor is quiet,powerful and quite economic despite the large load.We drove through the mountains to Bergen and it performed well. The service at the Sixt outlet in Oslo was good although some explanation on the navigation system would have been helpful.Cons: The Sixt outlet at the Bergen airport was a bit confusing to find but the personal were very nice to deal with once found.

BEWARE!!! Overcharged & Terrible Customer ServicePros: I reserved an "economy" car, but was given a Mercedes Benz with less than 5,000 km on it. Awesome car - but then was charged additional insurance for it.Cons: I called a week before rental to confirm deposit amount so that I would have enough room available on credit card. Also inquired about any additional fees/deposits required at check-in (this was a rental abroad). When I showed up, the safety deposit was nearly 2x as much as was quoted, and 4x the rental price. Also, a deposit was required for toll roads - an additional $100 had to be reserved. Luckily, a friend had an extra card for emergencies and we were able to get the car. We returned the car outside office hours without a problem, but freaked when the final charge came in a week later. The "itemized" receipt was a list of codes that I couldn't decipher. I emailed the billing department (and heard back a week later), the codes were for insurances we had declined (but were applied because we were given a Mercedes), tolls, a parking ticket we never got, and the administrative fees for ticket. THE ADMINISTRATIVE FEES WERE THE SAME COST AS THE ALLEGED PARKING TICKET. I'm still trying to get proof of this parking ticket but haven't heard back. Currently disputing charges with credit card. I'LL NEVER RENT WITH SIXT AGAIN.
