The guy at midway airport was really nice. They were very quick and efficient too.Cons:
I did notice that there was a bunch sticky stuff in the back seat when I got to Kentucky. It didn’t come from me as the only thing I put in the backseat was my suitcase, so I’m a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the vehicle. Also the vehicle itself shakes a lot when you get up to 70mph, and overall I wasn’t impressed with the Ford Ecosport.10.0 Wonderful

The staff in the lot at pickup was friendly and helpful in figuring out the confusion from the mistake a the counter. The staff at drop off was friendly and helpful. Both of these staff were Hertz employees as they were handling the car pickup and dropoff.Cons:
The counter staff assigned the same car to me as to someone else. There was confusion as to who was supposed to be in the car. The counter staff added insurance that I did not want to the charges. They did not ask me; I never take the insurance. When I questioned the higher amount, she said it was due to a deposit that would be returned to me. When I called customer service to address the situation, "William" told me that there was nothing he could do to help and I would need to follow some 10 step process on a web site to submit a complaint. We normally rent from Hertz. I will never us Dollar again.4.0 Mediocre

Hard to find the car. Was parked in a lot marked with another agency. No instruction at all on the basics of the car. Never told how to operate the plate pass. Directions for drop off were incorrect. Never could get through through when I called for a question.Cons:

Dollar closed at 5pm our flight landed at 6pm. There was NO ONE there to help us- the counter and in the garage were empty. This was an hour and a half fiasco. Fortunately someone at Hertz helped us. The SUV we rented wasn’t available, so we got a minivan that had been smoked in. It smelled awful! I will never use Kayak againAvis

The pickup took way to long. I saw another company process 4 customers while I was getting my car. The drop off was easy, however my return didn't get processed so I started getting charged for additional days after I turned my car in.2.0 Poor

No, the staff was not super helpful. We waited at least 40 minutes for a car after reserving one. They had a car available that was a step up for an upgrade and in my opinion, they should have offered it to us for the same price since they didn't have a car for us. Dropping our car off was very quick.Cons:

National didn't have my SUV available nor would they rent a car to me since I was local and not a distant traveler and booked on the same day. Why did they give the option on the website that a car was available? Wasted my time on Christmas day.10.0 Wonderful

I rented from Icarus cars from several dealer this trip. National was the only one that actually had the car I reserved when I arrived, and did not jerk me around. Also, no line at midway (but the others had long lines...).Economy Rent a Car

"Reserved" online. It was not made clear that the company was offsite or that a credit card number was necessary to hold the car. Our flight arrived nearly 2 hours late. We took the shuttle to the rental counter only to realize Economy was in a different location. Called both the local number and the toll-free number and got no answer. By the time my phone calls caught up with me it was 12:30 am and the message was that they would hold the car until 10:00. So now we were stuck at Midway. Luckily we were able to rent anothe car but had to cram 6 adults with luggage into 1 car instead of 2 and had to pay a premium price. I would not use Economy again.5.6 Fair

The company has a hidden "mandatory" roadside assistance fee of $100. It is NOT printed on any of the paperwork, nor or is there a notification when making the reservation on Kayak. It doubled the price of my rental, but there was 0 communication upfont. I reserve thru Kayak all the time and expect they would be disappointed in the hidden costs as well.2.0 Poor
