Pros: I like the comfort of the bed and the option to choose the type of pillow you want. The Christmas dinner buffet was phenomenal. I love the give aways and entertainment the had for the kids.
Cons: Breakfast was okay. They could of had more western variety.
Pros: The room was nice.
Cons: The breakfast was bad. All the restaurants were closed except one and it was not good. Spa was closed. Everything was closed. The drinks in the bar were 88 rmb and horrible quality. The bartender had to look on his phone to figure out how to make a margarita ... and that was one of only 6 cocktails they offered.
Pros: Staff was great ,everythng was brilliant can’t fault a thing
Pros: Comfortable. Next to a shopping mall with many restaurants if hotel restaurants not what you want. Unable to adjust temp in room and too hot. Same heat issue in the one bar, Very hot. Breakfast buffet was average, no omelet bar. Rooms clean. Well stocked Mimi bar. Most staff spoke some English. Would recommend.
Cons: Temperature of rooms and not being able to control temperature.
Pros: The location is very convenient because everything is just nearby the hotel such as restaurants and shopping centre. Just only 1 minute walk to Wanda Shopping mall. Mr. Joseph who works as a concierge is very helpful, he helped us plan the schedule of tour in each day.
Cons: Breakfast is very traditional Chinese and the room heating was unadjustable.
Pros: Nice people with a good English. location directly next to Wanda with a lot of good restaurants.
Cons: The bed was very hard and unconformable. it would be nice if you can choose between a hard and a soft mattress during booking.
With a stay at Harbin Bremen Jewish Culture Theme Hotel in Harbin (Harbin City Center), you'll be a 4-minute drive from Heilongjiang Provincial Museum and 6 minutes from Saint Sophia Church. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Located in Harbin (Song Bei), Songbei Shangri-La Harbin is within a 15-minute drive of Siberian Tiger Park and Harbin Ice and Snow World. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request) and a train station pick-up service.
Pros: Very close to the Ice Festival
Cons: Not in the centre of Harbin
Pros: The lobby staff are friendly and helpful. The room is cleaned and it always being cleaned early in the morning. The premium lounge is nice and the service is very good.
Cons: the breakfast quality is really average which is suppose to be must better compare to other Shangrila hotels that I had been to. No freah juices given and the service could be better. Also there are no Non Smoking room in this Shangrila. There should be non smoking rooms for guests who are non smoker. So in.summary, provide non smoking rooms and improve food quality.
Pros: the building is new, 2 years old (max), that helps a lot because all things look clean and neat. Upon request, on the second night the staff arranged for a humidifier, which was essential for our stay, because the air was so bad outside and dry inside...
Cons: given the weather characteristics the hotel could offer hand warmers/patches and air masks for guests, free of charge. All rooms should have a humidifier available. These become essential in Harbin. In general, the hotel seems to be a bit below the Shangri-la standard. It is bigger then necessary, and does not have a charm of itself.
Pros: We were there for the Ice and Snow festival and paid a little extra to have a room facing it. The staff was super helpful and even tried their best to speak English. I would have like them telling us there was a free shuttle instead of us paying for a taxi all the time, however the room itself was great. Clean, spacious and the in-room service was very convenient. We had a non-smoking room It was really close to the Tiger Park and the Ice and snow festival, but at least 15-20 minutes from other attractions like the church, or the pedestrian street. They have restaurants there that are quite affordable, especially Café Song for its buffet style breakfast or dinner.
Cons: No one is friendly. Guests are smoking in the halls.
Pros: We chose Songbei Shangri-La because of its close location to Ice and Snow Festival. Top quality hotel and amenities. Whilst English is not widely spoken we had no issues at all. Staff were very helpful and attentive. A special mention to the girls in the Horizon Club with a cheery welcome each morning. Taxi trip to city Central St is around 25RMB 25 mins where you can walk to other festival attractions. Beautiful views over river of this Winter wonderland.
Pros: Front office staff connected us to the hotel affiliated taxi for our next few days travelling after listen to our story got conned by taxi at the aiport when travel to hotel. Had our meals at Cafe Song & the buffet restaurant. Had a big gym, didn't try the jacuzzi, doesn't look cozy enough. Love the clean & new rooms with good view. Overall still value for money for 5 stars bed & room!
Cons: Would suggest hotel take extra step to email hotel guest before check in to offer paid airport transfer so that will not be conned by taxi at the airport. Pls ask the taxi how much first, it shouldn't cost more than rmb150-180 if by meter from airport to hotel. We were charged rmb350. We only knew we got conned and felt fishy when taxi dont want to drop us at the hotel entrance. Take their car plate number so hotel can help u lodge complain of the taxi con if unfortunately happened to u too. Cafe Song had some inconsistent experience. Ordered 2 roasted pigeons, first one came dissapointed with the taste, was cooked with overnight recycled oil. Second one came, taste ok, cooked with fresh oil. When called the restaurant manager to check, he advised that 2 was cooked by 2 different chef.

Pros: The most wonderful staff, so helpful and kind.
Pros: Friendly staff, quite clean
Cons: Too far from the centre city
Pros: Very outstanding accommodation. Thank you for the hospitality.
Pros: Everything else was wonderful! Absolutely loved the staff, breakfast was incredible, bed was comfy, super nice room and view!
Cons: The room was ridiculously hot and it was about half an hour away from the closest tourist spot
Pros: bed was amazing bath was amazing service at the front desk was amazing
Cons: price in resturant limited choice for food room service messed up meal, paid for food but only got 1/2 what i ordered
Pros: The staff good. The location pretty far from central Harbin.

Spread over a spacious 70,000 sqm, invested one billion, the hotel features generously sized guestrooms and events areas, high-end dining options and a combination of modern and tradition style. Sheraton Harbin Xiangfang Hotel has 397 spacious guestrooms, three special restaurants, two enormous sized Ballrooms which are 4200 sqm, aimed at becoming the largest business, meetings and casual resort hotel in Northeast area.
Pros: Luckily I know Chinese because the staff knew very little English. Was disappointed that the restaurant offered no foreign food.
Cons: For an international chain, staff should speak better english. They should also offer help upon check in with big bags. When checking out, they should ask if the stay was pleasant etc.
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The dine - in food was decent, I liked it, and reasonably priced. The staff were nice, though some couldn't speak English well. Nice view from the 25th floor though there was a lot of construction happening.
Cons: At check in, they could not find the reservation I made on booking.com. Showed them my name and confirmation number, but they still could not find it. Standing there watching 5 people try to figure it out for a while was no fun... The tub could have been cleaner, the carpet had a stain in my room. Otherwise the room was fine.
With a stay at Bremen Sophia Church Hotel in Harbin (Harbin City Center), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Zhongyang Street and Saint Sophia Church. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The location was within comfortable walking distance to Sophia Church and Russian Street even in winter.
Cons: The hallways smelled very strongly like smoke and the shower did not work properly. The breakfast was stale.
Pros: Good location. I chose this hotel because of the location. It was 5mins walk from the main train station.
Cons: The staff were not personable and it was all blamed on the Corona virus. Our other hotel dealt with the situation much better. The breakfast at this hotel was cold and not freshly cooked. You could even hear the microwave ding heating up meat and fried eggs. Then a salad was served and then the meat was served which meant the meat and eggs were now stone cold. This food was inedible which meant we went without. At lunch time we found good food in a better hotel. Any questions regarding local amenities were met with a cold "I don't know". Very unsatisfied. The carpets in the rooms were filthy dirty.
Pros: The beds were clean and comfortable. The location was great and central to tourist attractions. Cleaning staff were polite and friendly.
Cons: Unprofessional management and staff. Previous guests clothing were in the cupboard. Hotel "international" restaurant had bad service and mediocre quality food. Bad odor in unused bathroom. No English speaking staff for an "international" hotel.
Pros: Easy assess to central street and other places , walking distance. Friendly staff
Pros: Walking distance to Zhong yang da jie. Only some of the staffs are friendly.
Cons: Bathroom glass door need to be repair. The water flows out at the bottom corner. Weighing machine not able to use due to rust.
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Rooms are a bit dated but spacious enough.
Pros: Specially upgraded room with hall and 2 units tv

Pros: Soft and comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The hotel is in a new area of Harbin and still a few miles away from the Snow and Ice festival or the Central street - definitely not walking distances. There are hotels in front of the hotel so we found it easy to get around. Shower was nice and there was also a bath tub in the room.
Cons: Breakfast was ok, but more for Chinese guest. Westerners struggle to eat what is on offer. Bacon and eggs too oily but coffee machine was working and produced ok coffee. Tried to order a cup of black tea in the afternoon and was quoted RMB 45 for a teabag!
Pros: Enough Power outlets
Cons: Slow internet.
Pros: The gym was great and enough for basic workout. The room is comfortable, spacious and very clean. Stay was great.
Cons: Breakfast could be better with more (or better quality) European options. I regret that not many staff could speak decent English to communicate properly and get the right information. For each question, it would take several minutes and staff to get back to us with the appropriate information.
Pros: Hotel and staff were great! Extremely friendly and helpful. Location was a little far from the city centre (Central Street) so each day cost us about Y40-50 each way but if you're there just for the ice festival then no issues.
Cons: A bit far from central street, but that’s ok :)
Pros: The location was great for where we wanted to visit.
Cons: There was a wind noise coming through the bedroom window in the evenings which was very noticeable.
Pros: Rooms were nice, clean and warm. Cleaning staff very friendly and nice.
Cons: -No coffee in room -Breakfast wasn’t very good. Food cold and difficult to get tea and fruit as many guests would fill up their water bottles with it and take fruit for their day activities. -Compared to other 4-5* hotels the choice of TV channels wasn’t very good.
Pros: The breakfast was very extensive, although as a foreigner aiming for vegetarian diet, English descriptions of the food would have been helpful (download the offline Google translate before you go to China). The views from the high floors are good. Extremely convenient for the exhibition centre.
Cons: I was directed to the western restaurant after first trying to enter the Chinese restaurant, but the food was very disappointing. When it's busy, the elevators are very frustrating as they stop at almost every floor even if they are full and no one can get on. The shower did not drain fast enough.
Pros: This hotel is ok, if you came to Harbin for the exhibition or conference, which is being held at the Harbin Exhibition centre.
Cons: Only 1 person out of 10 speaks English. Room service isn't that great (I found a lot of hair in the bathroom). Furniture in the room and in the bathroom is quite old and beat up.
Pros: Convenient to conference center.
Cons: Temperature in room not adjustable and was too warm.
The Sun Island Garden Hotel is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Harbin. With Harbin Railway Station just 9km away and Taiping International Airport only 39km away, transportation is very convenient. If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.
Pros: A nice hotel located in a peaceful and very green area of Harbin. Very friendly and helpful stuff.
Cons: Most of the stuff could not speak english, but they were using a translating app and they were very eager to help. There was a slight confusion with the deposit that you have to give in the beginning, but everything was sort out eventually.
Cons: cannot pay credit card! Air conditioning does not work!
Cons: Claimed to have no record of our booking, despite us providing our printed/email confirmation. Charged us far more than our booking original room cost, then later tried to claim we were a 'no show' with booking.com. Nightmare.
Pros: It is not convenient for seeing the old city but it is very convenient to see the ice and snow festival. Also we very much enjoyed being at Sun Island and then taking the cable car across the river to the old city. It was beautiful and restful.
Cons: Staff don't speak English but the concierge has a very good voice translator app. If you speak elementary Chinese, even only a few words, it is very easy to be understood. Everyone was very friendly. We also stayed a few days in the city but we thought that the Sun Island hotel was much nicer.
Pros: Perfect for visiting the Ice World as walking distance Lovely hotel outside of the city, big rooms with helpful staff. Hotel has a small shop which is great for snacks.
Cons: Location was abit more remote than expecting and not much in the area. Dining room was huge, but went down to try evening dinner and i saw very few people dining.
Pros: Spacious Room. Palace-like architecture.
Cons: Most of staff could not speak English. Breakfast was mainly Chinese, oily and a bit salty. Elevator could only take 3-4 people while stating up to 1,300kg capacity. Carpet in the room was not well vacuumed on our first night but was done better on the second night after complaining to the manager.
Pros: The place is calm and picturesque
Cons: Location quite far from everywhere
Pros: Nice spacious rooms.
Cons: For western guests there’s not that much at breakfast.

Offering WiFi, iMac in the business area, a meeting room and coffee, it endows you with a 5-star experience in a vibrant area at a lower price. Cons: Pictures showed on the booking page is absolutely not of the rooms of the hotel. Inspite having booked a deluxe room, I was allocated the tiniest of room on arrival. Had to request a change. The view from the window is only a stack of garbage. The flooring is peeling off. The towels do not smell good at all
Pros: The rooms are basic, clean, and have all you need for a short stay. Beds are big enough and comfortable. The hotel was comfortably warm, which is an absolute must in Harbin during winter. The personnel is also very helpful and kind.
Cons: Somehow the booking.com page made us believe that this hotel was in the proximity of Central Street (walking distance) - it isn't. Then again, the taxi to Central Street only costs 10 yuan each way, but it would have been nice to be able to walk there. The bathroom also gets soaking wet after taking a shower, the shower could be better separated from the rest of the bathroom.
Pros: Room was clean, big enough, perfect for a holiday with your partner.
Cons: the sink was located "in" the shower, so after you have showered, you can't wash your hands without getting wet feet. The room was warm but maybe a bit too warm, we even opened the window sometimes while it was -20 outside... Personnel is friendly, but was not willing to help us arrange a taxi when we couldn't find an empty one on the street.
Pros: Quick check in and out. Free toiletries and clean towels daily and room cleaned daily. Delicious free fruit tea at reception. Very big comfortable beds, stayed in a twin bed room that had twin DOUBLE beds. Loved that the shower had its own door in the bathroom, lovely hot showers! But the bathroom door itsel is a glass door and although it’s frosted glass for westerners this can be a bit of an issue when sharing a room with friends! Not much info given about busses and trains and directions it would have been very helpful if as new visitors to the city there clear transport info was made available. But all in all fairly friendly and helpful staff they also allowed us to leave our bags at reception after check out which we only collected later that evening. An overall pleasant stay!
Cons: Wooden bathroom doors and better info regarding transport like which bus numbers and trains to take to popular tourist sites for people who do not want to use expensive taxis. Also if the hotels address could also be given in Chinese, that would be a great help to show bus drivers, people or taxis for directions.
With a stay at Shangri-La Hotel Harbin, you'll be centrally located in Harbin, within a 15-minute drive of Harbin Ice and Snow World and Guogeli Shopping Area. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. Planning an event in Harbin? This hotel has facilities measuring 33992 square feet (3158 square meters), including a conference center. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The location by the river is perfect if you like to walk. You can walk for miles along a tree-lined path which is really nice. The concierge (I forget his name) is exceptional! He can arrange taxis charged by the hour and is friendly, helpful and competent. Easy to reach every where for shopping (if you need to) and sights by taxi. Ice festival is a great experience!
Cons: I will stay here again if I return to Harbin. However, you must not expect this to be like a Shangri-La Hotel in other cities / countries in terms of service. If you accept that - this is a perfect Harbin Hotel.
Pros: Cleanliness, location and a room with a very nice view if the frozen river
Cons: Maybe a little bit nit picking but compared with the other shangrila hotels I’ve been it a little below in tier compared to where I’ve been to. To room service menu also needs to be consistent. E.g ordered the sane item in consecutive nights but the food item seems to be prepared differently. Iverall, i still enjoy the stay regardless
Pros: Good location, just next to the Songhua River Bridge and close to the CBD. Public transport and taxi easy to catch. To Sun Island Scenic Park, Ice and Snow Fairy Land just 10 minutes without traffic. Superior Twin Room a bit small but comfortable and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Superior Twin Room a bit small.
Pros: The rooms were comfortable and had a nice view on the river. The breakfast had a great choice, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Holiday Inn Harbin City Centre is an up-mid-range hotel managed by InterContinental Hotels Group. The hotel is located in the center of Harbin which is on the Harbin main tourist central Street (Pedestrian Street starting point) the geographical position is extremely superior. It takes five minutes to the famous Sophia church on foot and to the Songhua River takes only 15 minutes on foot too. There is fast and convenient transportation also, 15 minutes to reach the economic development zone, five minutes to Harbin Railway Station, about 20 minutes to Harbin west station, about 40 minutes to Harbin Taiping International Airport and 100 meters to the airport bus line No.3. Only 15 minutes car drive to Sun Island Park and snow world. Hotel completed full renovation of rooms and guest facilities updates. In order to create a warm and pleasant experience in your stay the hotel have setup Unique Le Petit Paris so as to let you feel both the international & local food and beverage products and services.
Pros: It was in a great location. Very easy to walk to Zhongyang Street. Breakfast buffet was great with a mixture of Asian and Western food. Great little hole-in-the-wall shop next to the hotel to buy really cheap beer and soft drinks to put in your minibar!
Cons: Finding our hotel transfer driver at the Harbin Railway Station was not easy and after a few phone calls, we found each other . We then got into a van that didn't fit us and our suitcases, so we had luggage piled up in the front passenger seat and kids sitting on each others laps. Not ideal, but it worked. There was confusion when we checked in that each room only had one bed (we booked two rooms for a family of six), even though our booking clearly stated that there were three people in each room. After insisting that one bed was not going to fit three people, were we changed to a room with a double and a single. On the first night, water leaked from the ceiling down the wall of our bathroom from the room above. We didn't have any issue on the subsequent nights, so I assume they fixed the problem or moved the guests. The worst problem would probably be Chinese guests smoking in the hallways. The fact that the hotel provides ashtrays near the lifts, suggests this is ok. We didn't think so.
Pros: I really liked how the staff handled the problem when I told him that I found my room was not properly cleaned when I just checked in. He not just changed me to a new room but also an upgrade. The room was very nice. I was able to watch some american channels through their TV. I was able to use Facebook and Google with their internet. Location was great. Hotel was right across from the central stree and only 5 minutes walk to the san Sofia church.
Pros: The location is great - just at the entrance to the shopping street, not far from St. Sophia church
Cons: The staff can't speak any English, and worse - they try to sell all the time unnecessary things like driver to Sun Island snow & ice festival, while telling that it is not possible to get a taxi back, which is not true - it is organized well & easy The concierge refused to order a normal taxi! This is a shame to an international chain like Holiday Inn!
Cons: the room was too hot even window was open
Pros: Perfect location in Harbin, few steps away there is main street, that was really amazing during winter time. Breakfast was superb, a lot of different food. Reception speaks English.
