10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very polite and friendly Check in and out via the kiosk machine with the help of the staff(if required) Great value for money Very spacious and modern room; equipped with all the necessary amenities Near to bus and train stations
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very polite staff, near to Himeji station, everything seemed new and clean. Room was not to small, tea, instant coffee, cups, fridge and water boiler available in the room, was not expensive.
Cons: There seemed to be water running down between the bathtub and the wall in the bathroom when showering, but this might be completely okay and just some kind of bathtub construction I‘ve never seen before.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 1) very reasonable price - great VfM 2) very spacious room 3) very well equipped 4) fast WiFi 5) good breakfast - with European and Japanese type of food 6) hotel was launched 14 months ago, it is brand new 7) 8 min walk from Himeji station 8) friendly staff and some speak English
Cons: None
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super nice, friendly and helpful. They go to an extreme which is almost too much - like bowing at you as the elevator closes. Also, Room (double) was fairly big for Japanese standards, the bath was even big! Lots of yummy smelling soaps and extras. Even had drip coffee in the room.
Cons: Only thing that was needs improvements - the laundry machines. They have wash and dry machines. But even after two extra drying cycles, my clothes were still damp. In the end, I hung them up in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are all very cheerful and welcoming. Very clean, spacious room had everything we needed. We decided to have a breakfast at the hotel because we found good write ups. And we were very happy we did! Fantastic range of different types of food available at the buffet style breakfast. You can find western style breakfast as well as Japanese dishes specialised locally produced vegetables and meat, etc.
Cons: Nothing that we didn’t like about!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location from Himeji station (around 5 mins walk) - very clean modern room, spacious bathroom - comfy bed - receptionist gave a “beauty pack” with face mask, lotion etc - friendly and courteous staff
Cons: - can’t think of anything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Only two blocks from the station, very clean.
Cons: Staff was very very friendly until they asked for my passport and I produced a residencer card. The lady even went to the manager to ask if it was ok to accept it. WTF.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Lack of storage space
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room is bigger than other hotels in the area. It's just aside to the train station in Himeji and in the middle of the Restaurants/Shop area.
Cons: The lobby is at third floor. It's necesary to stop in the lobby beofre going to the rooms. IT would be perfect if it could be possible to access rooms directly from the ground floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet provided by hotel was more than ample and we enjoyed it. The location close to the train station made it easier to commute as we only had one night in Himeji. The rooms were very spacious and we were delighted to find laundry facilities.
Cons: The location of our rooms was probably due to misunderstanding as we requested for rooms to be as far from the elevator as possible. They did this but ended up separating our family by giving us rooms at either end of the passage!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s beautiful. The beds are super lush and comfy. The location is perfection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Himeji? 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dormy Inn has always been a pleasant hotel chain. They have Onsen and free simple ramen served between 2130-2330. Perfect. The breakfast was good too with good selection. They even had the local eels rice serving during breakfast. We were driving so again extra charge 1000 yen for parking during 1500 to next day 1000 check out. If you arrive before or take your car later, there is an extra charge of 300 yen an hour.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel location is superb, walking distance to the malls, food place and train station. There is a hotspring bath in the hotel which is good for relaxing after a whole day of walking. The hotel also serves free ramen noodles from 9.30pm to 11.00pm. The noodles are really delicious.
Cons: It seems the quilt is pretty worn out under the cover. End up being not that comfortable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, right next to the train station (in any other place in the world this will probably mean terrible choice, but in Japan, it is the contrary). It is not exactly modern decoration in the rooms, but I found it ok. The bed is comfortable and it is a regular shower instead of the bath tube – they get points for that. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have free coffee in the lobby and you get a little gift if you opt for not having your room cleaned. Sadly, I did not try the onsen.
Cons: My suggestion: the onsen clothes were worn out, giving it a bad impression.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Located close to the train station, the hotel includes everything one needs for their stay in Himeji. Comfortable beds, clean facilities, big Onsen.
Cons: No common area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Close to JR station, good sized rooms by Japan standards including a bathroom with a shower you can actually turn around in, very clean facilities, friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast and a decent in house 0nsen. Himeji is a good base for a northern Kansai day trip when Kinosaki prices are steep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, fabulous onsen. Great location right near the train station. The emergency toilet in the elevator was an interesting addition.
Cons: The rooms were a bit dated and the clothes provided for the onsen were very old and musty.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was close to the station and the staff was great. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from Himeji castle.
Cons: My biggest complaint would have to be that the window could have been better insulated from the outside sound. My room was on the 4th floor and I could hear cars and people outside until around midnight. It wasn't overly loud but it could have been quieter.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the staff, the people I met there and the location. Homely vibe!
Cons: There were some insects in the room and no coffee. But that was totally compensated by the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff!

Pros: easy to find. clean. next to castle.
Cons: hot & stuffy. surprise rules about limited bathroom & aircon use after arrival.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, the breakfast was mediocre but one of the best we've had in Japan, and the bed was very comfortable. Very close to the JR station and not a far walk from the castle. Decent place to stay.
Cons: We were on the top floor and the housekeeper was banging around outside our room for a solid half hour just after 7am. Not sure if they were having a bad day or always make that much noise, but it made it very difficult to sleep. The pillows are a little strange, they might be comfortable if you have a few nights to adjust to them.

Pros: Breakfast was good. Easy location.
Cons: Too small for us.

Pros: Nice view on Himeji, large room, friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice Japanese breakfast. Caution: we've been lucky there was no wedding party organized during our stay. There are several banquet rooms in the building, and I doubt you can really enjoy your stay if there is a party going on nearby.
Cons: No Wifi in the room

7.1 Good
Pros: Onsen is very good and nice variation. Very good Location and secure plenty of parking .
Cons: We book for non-smoking . But there were no smoke-free floor. They has smoking room right in front of elevator. So the smoke is along the hallway. We have to hold our breath until we reach the room. I compliant but they only offer the further room on the same floor.
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is very clean and about 15 mins walk out of the south exit of Himeji station - which is the exact opposite direction from Himeji Castle, despite the hotel's name. The spa facilities were excellent, with a couple of pools available to guests. Be prepared to be the only foreigner there however and make sure you've read up on onsen / bath house etiquette (naked, wash yourself head to toe in of the little booths before getting in the water, put your little white towel on your head whilst in the water etc.). Location-wise, other than being in the opposite direction of the castle from the station it's not in a bad place - pretty close to the station and a bit of night life, with lots of really lovely traditional Japanese restaurants within a few minutes walk. Getting to the castle itself is easy: walk back to the station, out of the north exit and it's right there in the distance - very impressive! About another 15 mins walk and you'll arrive - it's well worth your time and the walk, don't bother with the bus.
Cons: It's a nice hotel at a decent price, obviously very popular with Japanese guests (very busy for the two nights we were there) - my only issue as a non-Japanese speaking guest is that the English language skills of the reception staff either were zero or not that good, and the hotel support staff (such as in the Spa area, where you want to make sure you understand what you're doing) spoke none. Yes, this is Japan and the onus is absolutely on the visitors to make themselves understood - but out of the places we stayed during our 2 weeks in Japan this hotel was definitely the toughest communication-wise. Maybe we were just unlucky - we did deploy our stock Japanese phrases but to no avail! Not a negative against the hotel, just something to consider if you also have limited native language skills and don't know your way around the country very well.
6.7 Good
Pros: Laundary room was good. Breakfast was good with wide selection of food. Free shuttle to station on last day appreciated.
Cons: Compared to normally spotless hotels, the cleanliness was not great, dirty grout in the bathroom. On opening the elevator door the stench of smoke from the smoking room filled the hall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff speak a little english but they are extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are comfortable and you can always leave your bags at the reception desk if you come earlier than expected. Great SPA facility you can enter for free if you stay in the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. Not too distant from the station (about 10 minutes away on foot, but towards the non-castle side). The hotel has a nice onsen. Staff were very nice. Rooms were clean and tidy. Would stay again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good for me.
Cons: I didn’t like there is smoking area on the same floor as my room.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Great sauna and spa Bikes available good Japanese breakfast
Cons: The room was steaming hot and the air conditioner had been turned off. Had to open the window but a loud fan made it impossible to sleep. The room and the shower/bath was very plastic and not up to expectations

Cons: Bathroom is really small.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was easy walking distance from station and to the castle. Himeji is a lovely place to spend a night.
Cons: Hotel was in a back lane so a little difficult to locate. Also the bathroom was very tiny with a big step down out of it. Though it was adequate I think they should warn people in case of mobility issues.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location of the property is close to the station and castle. Staff are friendly
Cons: The rooms are tiny (even for Japan standards), suitable for perhaps one person for an over night stay. With two people and luggage we needed to strategically manoeuvre ourselves around the room! Also rooms are a little dated

Cons: Very limited English
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is great - close to the station and the castle. And there are many restaurants around it.
Cons: It's located in a side street and some signs are written in katakana. So if you cannot read Japanese and are not used to navigate the side streets in Japan, it can be a bit difficult to find.

Pros: Great location between the train station and the Castle, and it was nice to have a private bathroom with a tub.
Cons: There was a used tissue on top of the heater so we didn't feel the place was really sanitary, also there was no thermostat to regulate the AC (which was "on" all the time) so the room was exceptionally cold as well.

Pros: 5 mins from the station and from Himeji Castle Cheap coin laundry
Cons: Very expensive for what it was Small rooms, not particularly clean Unpleasant reception smelled of food, with low grade breakfast served there Early check out time

Cons: High step up to bathroom

Pros: The room is ok, good size and good bed
Cons: When we arrived they gave us a smoking room, but we told them and they change us to another room. They were so nice with us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They served quite a decent breakfast, and dinner with Curry & Udon (Japanese style noodles). The location is also in the shopping area. I bet only a handful number of great hotels like this offer a double room for 6500 yen in Himeji.
Cons: If I were to give a positive advice, then double rooms should be a bit bigger.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Two beds means lots of space for a Japanese room.
Cons: Kind of noisy. We were on the top floor and could hear cars on the street. Worse, there were construction works nearby which started early, waking us up early.

Pros: Free food, yay
6.5 Good
Pros: Staff was extremely helpful and friendly!
Cons: Rooms were small.

WTF.

Pros: It’s beautiful. The beds are super lush and comfy. The location is perfection.

Pros: Easy check in and out, close to bus stop
Cons: Location
6.7 Good
Pros: Basic inexpensive hotel that did the job for one night. Easy to get to city centre or 'Last Sumaurai' temple (Shosa mountain). McDonalds is a very short distance away. Breakfast was buffet style and adequate. Room functional and comfortable enough. Free parking. Staff friendly and courteous.
Cons: Exit from the car park was very difficult and relied on other drivers letting you out at a busy junction. Surrounding area not that good but Japan is safe wherever you are. Beds were hard, as most are in Japan.
