10.0 Excellent
Pros: I'm just astonished with the hotel. Staff was more than friendly (Fernando at the lobby, Juan at the restaurant, employees at the spa) (it was pretty clear that they are constantly trained on Customer Care), and the manager Mr. Tobia was extremely kind! 120/100 for this hotel. Breakfast, facilities, cleanliness, comfort. Will definitely return!
7.9 Good
Pros: BIG ROOM. MAINTENANCE STAFF MORE THAN HELPFUL. FRONT DESK STAFF WERE ALSO HELPFUL IN GETTING TAXIS AND BOOKING A RENTAL CAR. OVERALL OK
Cons: SLOW SERVICE. SOME STAFF WERE BUSIER CHATTING AMONG THEMSELVES THAN ATTENDING TO GUESTS. ASKED FOR LUNCH BILL SEVERAL TIMES BUT NEVER GOT IT. BREAKFAST LADY AT THE DOOR DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SERVICE IS: NO GREETINGS AND SHE IS BUSIER CHATTING WITH CONCIERGE OR WAITERS. RESTAURANT SERVICE WAS SLOW, WHICH IS STRANGE SINCE THERE WERE MORE THAN ENOUGH WAITERS; GUESS THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY ARE ALL HANGING OUT NEAR THE BAR INSTEAD OF ATTENDING TO GUESTS. CLEANLINESS IS DOUBTFUL SINCE THEY ONLY DEEP CLEAN THE CARPET TWICE A YEAR, AND I AM USED TO TAKING MY SHOES OFF INDOORS. A FEW CHOCOLATE PIECES DISAPPEARED FROM A RECENTLY OPENED BOX. NO BIG DEAL BUT I DIDN'T EXPECT SUCH MISDEED IN A "5 STAR" HOTEL. THEN AGAIN , I WONDER WHY THEY GIVE BOLIVIAN HOTELS 5 STARS WHEN IN REALITY THERE ISN'T ONE SINGLE HOTEL THAT SURPASSES 4.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, big lobby, great breakfast
Cons: Everything was great!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place and service amazing..location excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything was spot on! I can't give a bad review because it was a really nice experience to stay there. Spent 15 days and never felt this comfy at a hotel. For us, it was like a home away home.
Cons: Nothing negative really.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Very large apartment with kitchen, suitable for family or those with babies. Dinner was good.
Cons: Standard is far from a 5 star hotel. Very old apartment building far from international standard on many aspects, fixtures, facilities, services. Looks like designed in the 80s and many things worn out. Location is very far from the main area, had to walk and climb many stairs over 25 minutes to the witches market in altitude, it was exhausting to get to the Centre. Upon arrival, the staff could not find our booking and did not have our room prepared. I had to show the booking.com confirmation. For a queen size double bed, there was only one pillow. Nobody introduced the facilities to us probably. I only found out there were hot tea at the entrance from reading others reviews. Kitchen and apartment is large but mostly useless and unthoughtful design spaces. Before arrival we tried to contact hotel via booking to book a taxi pick up but didn’t reply. Got our bus tour guide to call up hotel and hotel said cannot organize taxi. As a 5 star hotel, it was unbelievable! Eventually our bus tour guide helped us to get a taxi to hotel instead. Breakfast had little choices and disappointing. Gym was only a room with few machines. We were woken up 4am twice in the morning by some alarm. We asked the front desk what was that about or did they set morning call wrongly for someone else to our room, the staff had no idea... All we wanted was just a good night sleep ... Overall very disappointing. Not worth the price at all. Felt got cheated on a 2star apartment paying for a 5 star hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wanted to stay for 1 night, ended up staying for 4 nights. The appartment was cosy and clean, the views fantastic, breakfasts incredibly diverse and delicious and the stuff always friendly and very helpful! The in-house steakhouse is also superb. I absolutely recommend!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is pretty good. It’s located in a safe and quite neighbourhood and the room is spacious. The front desk of this hotel is friendly and they helped us a lot. The hotel provides breakfast and the fruits are nice. Overall the experience is exceptional and I definitely recommend this hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms in the hotel are really big, they have a kitchen and a living room. The view from the 8th floor was really good. Since it is really comfortable and the staff is really friendly, it is perfect for getting used to the altitude. In our view it is also really good value for money. It is also very close to the mi teleferico public transport system (teatro aire libre on the white line)
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The jacuzzi and the sauna
Cons: Only one treadmill :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff were extremely helpful and provided exceptional service. My flight was cancelled and the manager assisted in securing a new reservation with a different airline to the extent of driving with me to their office and acting as a translator. During our stay there was a political demonstration planned and again the staff ensured our flight plans would not be disrupted. The facilities are exceptional with very spacious rooms and the restaurant menu fulfills a variety of palates.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff here are so courteous and helpful. They replied to all my messages very quickly and helped with our airport pickup and drop off reservation. Pros: Excellent very central location, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful - suggested things to do and see and had a breakfast box ready the morning I was leaving
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The size of the bedroom. The quirkiness of the hotel. The helpfulness of Jorge.
Cons: Bed and pillows a bit lumpy. Breakfast fruit a bit too cold. Lack of enhancing pot plants.
7.9 Good
Pros: The service and the amazing old style. Wooden floors and high ceilings. The location was good close to the key attractions. The rooms are large and comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom was extremely small and no natural light gets in the bedrooms. This is probably typical of many boutique hotels in La Paz.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff ( Coco and Victor- excellent) couldn't have been more helpful. The location is nice enough, however at the time we were there- a bit hectic due to the political climate- though, we never felt in danger. The food choices for dinner were fine and the courtyard was lovely. Close to San Francisco Square and the markets/museums. Set us up with a cab to the airport and everything was always- no problem.
Cons: Airflow. This hotel is just not set up for airflow in a room. We asked for a fan and one was found- we were very happy. Without it- I am not sure how it would have gone as nights were not very cool.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, central downtown, very friendly staff, good dinner
Cons: Room had no window

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was much nicer to any of the breakfasts we’ve had in Bolivia. Lovely interior. Great location - right beside the witches market.
Cons: We changed rooms- some of the rooms are very depressing and old but the staff accommodated us immediately ! I booked the hotel months ago and then saw a few days before it was much cheaper which was annoying ! Everything else was great! I would definitely recommend !

Cons: It is in a business district so not a huge amount of things happening on the weekend. That is the only thing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent reception staff that served as concierge. Excellent breakfast.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: We were looking forward to this stay but due to road blocks in the city and demonstrations in the specific area near the hotel we couldn’t get to the hotel and had to change our plans. The staff were very unhelpful they did not offer to come and get us from our drop off because it was a bus terminal and not at the airport. And they refused to refund our payment. I understand it was a non-refundable booking but this is an extreme circumstance. So very disappointed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautifully designed, modern hotel in an upscale location of La Paz, within walking distance of the green line cable car. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent (great breakfast buffet which includes spakling wine; we also loved the trout for dinner and the snacks and drinks at the roof top casabar). We travel a lot all over the world . This is a hotel, we will remember

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great property , clean , well appointed , great value for money and with all amenities. The rooftop bar is awesome , the food is excellent and the little details - Chocolate in the room , water everyday - were a very nice touch . The view is amazing , bed is comfortable, room is spacious and the hotel itself is based in Zona Sur, a little bit of a lower altitude than the rest of La Paz .
9.0 Excellent
Pros: All staff members were courteous and professional and everybody tried to meet all my needs during my stay. There was a problem with plumbing (no hot water in the morning of my last day). I could not wait for hot water to be fixed so I had a cold shower and mentioned it to the reception. When I went to breakfast, I was given a voucher for a 3-course dinner with wine. This was a generous compensation. I enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool with a view and food was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I thank all the staff who made me feel welcome.
Cons: The location was out of the historical centre (and the airport) but they provide excellent transfer services at any time when requested.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean, good breakfast, good bar with a view on the 7th floor
Cons: When leaving the hotel I left my AirPods in the room, we informed our local guide immediately, he contacted the hotel, but in the end “nobody found anything”. I realize it is my fault but the fact was disappointing taking into account we did not cause any trouble to housekeeping personnel - kept the room clean, left tips, etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Luxury and everything was just perfect. Nice location close to Mi Teleférico and good restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. The pool was perfect
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Internet extremely bad. Room service and evening restaurant personnel the most innefient and rude I have ever met
Cons: The room service and evening shift personnel
8.3 Excellent
Cons: For stay during a vacation- it’s a little far from where things happen in La Paz, and it is a beautiful facility, but needs to add on the warm and friendly aspects.

Cons: None
6.0 Good
Pros: It has nice original features in the communal spaces.
Cons: The bed/mattress was old and uncomfortable. No a/c. Very loud from outside, next door, corridors and floor above. If you want to sleep past 8am it's very hard.

Pros: Very pretty, good atmosphere
Cons: Noisy from hallway and stairs. Also uncomfortable from sound of other room draining.

Pros: The place is amazing. Excellent staff, breakfast, rooms and location.
Cons: We arranged an airport pickup (at reception) for a day trip to Uyuni but they never showed up...
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic
Cons: The Staff at the reception was terrible . he called me at 1am at night into the room while I was sleeping and asked to return 10 USD because he though he gave me too much. He understood his mistake and went back but I could not sleep for 1 hours afterwards . In the Morning they accused me for making their TOWELS DIRTY. I was stunned by that incredible behavior !!! Never again
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, nice breakfast, clean and polite and service minded staff.
Cons: The one bad thing was that the Wi-Fi was very unreliable! We only got it working properly in the restaurant at breakfast. Even in the bar it kept throwing us out from the network, and in our room it didn't work at all. A bit disappointing, as we were really would've needed it to be make some bookings and reservations during our stay. Also - for a price reasonably high one would expect a stable Wi-Fi. Very warm in our room, and the window couldn't really be opened, as it was facing the elevator for everyone to see straight in our room. Also a bit noisy, as no sound proofing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The whole flair
Cons: Water too cold

Pros: We felt at home here and ended up staying a lot longer than we planned to. The rooms are impressive and spacious with refurbished antiques. Comfortable beds for a great night sleep. The restaurant was the best in La Paz with a Bolivian chef and a French sous-chef. The staff was incredibly helpful and felt like friends. Location is very good, just a little outside of the busy city buzz and in a safe neighborhood next to the embassies.
Cons: Breakfast starts at 8 and sometimes only at 8:15 or a bit later. Could be earlier for morning people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best hostel ever. We felt like home. They have such cozy rooms with nice paintins produced by local artists. Interesting library and dvds movies. Clean kitchen. Do not hesitate to change a 4 stars hotel for this lovelly hostel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Rendezvous Hotel was perfect for our trip. We were using La Paz as a jumping off point, so we stayed at the hotel multiple times with breaks in between. The rooms are nicely appointed with great artwork. The restaurant on site is excellent. The neighborhood is lovely and conveniently located/walkable to tourist attractions. The staff are friendly and will help out with all of your requests (including laundry and luggage storage). The owner speaks great English and we never had a problem communicating with staff who didn't speak English. The price is a great value. I highlight recommend staying here.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
Cons: Front desk not manned most afternoons and after 9 at night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rendez Vous hostel is located in the animated sopocachi district of La Paz. 10 min away from the nearest Mi Teleferico. It is owned by the family who also owns the restaurant. The common spaces are well thought, furnished and decorated, kitchen has a lot of utensils. The bedroom was large, with a lot of stylish furniture, bedding very confortable, shower had hot water and good amount of shower gel etc Breakfast was a buffet with a very large amount of choice.
Cons: Staff was a bit disapointing though: we heard the family in front of us was initially overcharged to have left their luggage after checkout. Our bus the next day was at 7.30 so we had to leave by 6.30am. We kindly asked if we could had an earlier breakfast- declined. Then kindly asked if we could at least get some cereals left in a corner - declined. Finally asked for some sandwich bread to be left in the kitchen - which never happened. A nice Argentinian couple offered us some bread for the breakfast. Not sure why they refused to leave us the sandwich bread slices, surely that wouldn't have been a harm for their finances; especially since we paid for breakfast and that there is that sign below.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very much everything, very clean, safe place
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Best hot showers and breakfast in La Paz! The staff were lovely and the hostel was warm and cozy. The location seemed a little far away from the main action at first, but once we were familiar with La Paz it was easy enough to walk to the main tourist areas.
Cons: Perhaps the only downfall was the fact that reception was often left unattended. Sometimes it was difficult to find staff to make requests or ask questions etc...but when there staff were excellent.

Pros: Staff are really nice though they speak very little English. They help us with our luggage, guide us to the latest cable station and provide us breakfast at 5AM morning, really thank them!
Cons: There's no hot water, I didn't know until the night and the rooms are becoming very cold at night and heater didn't function. The location is not so convenient for people like to catch early flight like us, though it is only 5-6KM away from airport but still need to take 30 min or so~
7.0 Good
Pros: Very Kind!
Cons: Hot water...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The position was good for the cable car and for the airport. Room's managers available and kind at all hours. The room was clean and with a lot of space. Furnitures very typical.
Cons: From the outside it seems like a 'casino' and not like an hotel. The shower has 'electrical' heating and does not work well for us.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Even our departure time was 5AM, they kindly send us to the airport. They offer us delivery dinner. That was very helphul.
Cons: They forgot airport pickup.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room, all facilities in the room, the bath, hot water, heating in rooms, clean, comfiest beds and pillows. The photos don't give the rooms justice. They are much better than how they look online. Staff were lovely and helpful. The neighbourhood is really good and it's also close the cable cars. Good value for money.
Cons: Breakfast while a good choice did have cold eggs most days, no hot vegi option (except for one day) and bread was stale. The swimming pool / sauna clearly wasn't cleaned daily or if it was not very well. I never got the spa bath to work although it didn't matter as used spa area.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was comfortable spacious and clean. The staff was helpful too. The location is a bit far from the centre but there are restraunts market and such near by so good location for apart hotel.
Cons: I was overcharged about $54usd. It was my mistake for not double checking but as they gave me the amount in Boliviano I assumed that it would be the converted amount of the same value but when I checked later I learned that I was overcharged. Despite the excellent stay this made me feel like I was scammed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, nice and clean. Nice area with shops and restaurants in close proximity. Teleferico station was very close to the property making it easy to get around!!!!
Cons: Be prepared to climb stairs to your room, it’s not that I didn’t like it but wasn’t prepared after a long day of exploring La Paz. Also, I could have used a shower cap to keep my hair dry while bathing. Showering was at times a challenge as I managed to get the entire bathroom wet because the shower head was older and not very easy to manipulate and almost out of reach for me at 5’5”.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect.
Cons: The rooms located at the back building don’t have a view. My room didn’t have view or sunlight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, easy acces to cableway system (mi teleferico)!
7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the room we were given. Very comfortable bed. Hot water. Heater.
Cons: There was a communication problem. So I had asked for Airport pickup at least two months before the arrival. I also provided my arrival time and airline flight details but the hotel did not sent be a confirmation until the day of my flight and while I was boarding the airplane. So I had no way of checking the email since I didn't have the internet. Me and my friends did not see my name sign in the airport so we took a cab to the hotel. And they told me a cab has been waiting for me I the airport for an hour and made me pay. I tried to tell the receptionist that I never got a confirmation. They sent me a confirmation too late.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast with service boy
Cons: The room furniture was quite used.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The staff are wonderful. Breakfast is great. Rooms are well decked out and clean and comfortable. The level of care that ALL the staff give to the guests is top notch. I would highly recommend this hotel. I most certainly would stay again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great Hotel, amazing facilities and perfect location. The place to stay when in la Paz. Great food.

Pros: Pretty much everything was spot on! I can't give a bad review because it was a really nice experience to stay there. Spent 15 days and never felt this comfy at a hotel. For us, it was like a home away home.
Cons: Nothing negative really.

7.1 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: My friend and I were staying in the same room but travelling separately; we booked taxis to depart the hotel two different times, one at 2am, one at 6.20am. Reception staff struggled to cope with this and when my friend left at 2am a man from the hotel came into my room while I was asleep!!! I called reception and they told me my friend had checked out, I assume that they thought that the room was vacant, but the room was in my name and they were unapologetic. The breakfast was fair but the buffet started later than advertised. I was advised continental breakfast until 6am, buffet from 6am. On the two occasions I went at 6am there was no buffet available.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff is friendly and has knowledge of La Paz sightseeing. Taxi fee can be charged to a room, which you do not need to prepare for cash
Cons: Location is a bit difficult to find The facility is not new
2.0 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: The booking process on Kayak sucked. when I booked, the confirmation page said I still need to complete the dress/ postal code fields and indicated that no charge had been put through on my card. so ai assumed the booking was not complete. I ended up being double charged.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Hotel.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful
Cons: We went there for the pool and spa. It's holiday season in Bolivia, and it is absurd to close those facilities for maintenance precisely during this time!
4.0 Okay
Pros: Very friendly staff. Breakfast not as bad as in other review's, but also not flabbergasted... Locker in room.
Cons: Hotel is out dated. Looks like interior from USSR, especially the roof bar. Shower with a curtain, this is not done in any place. Shower itself gave good flow of water. Feather blankets lost most of the feathers over the years.
