The linen and towels was clean .the location was close to town.the guy on reception was very polite.
The room had cracks in the wall and the paint was flaking. The toilet door would not close.the pictures of the rooms I saw on line did not even resemble my room.
Bed was comfortable
I stayed for three nights at one of the rooms in the basement floor (Room 3). First night the smell of stinky bathroom pipes was really unbearable and even though they tried to solve it for the rest of the stay with two air fresheners the bad smell was still there. My room had a door that could communicate with other room just separated by a lock from my side, which made me feel it was easy to step onto someone's else room, what if I'd be staying at the other side and someone else has access to my room whenever they want? This made it feel unsafe. Reception closes at 23h and there's no one to contact to if needed, had a feeling of unattended guests. This created a noisy environment very late at night (2-5 am) with drunk guests knocking at the door or going up/downstairs loudly. Someone tried to open my door as well. We booked more than one month in advance and I requested two rooms next to each other; however, they literally gave us the room at the second floor and the basement one, so couldn't be more apart from my parents. It sounded like a joke. The room has a little tray with treats and a kettle with dirty water. So we didn't dare to use it either. Such a shame. Bed is comfortable and shower could be more clean. I'm used to stay at hostels everywhere in Europe and this has been one of the worst experiences so far. I feel bad I can't find a better review but feel like future guests need to know in advance what I didn't. A constructive advise could be to have a 24h reception schedule to avoid all this chaos.
The location was ideal but that was it nothing else
The rooms was awful dirty had three flights of stairs to climb separate bathroom which was filthy and shower stopped halfway through. Staff was rude on arrival like she did not want to be there. The electric pac test was out of date which we tried to report but no one was around to help out. I WOULD NOT RETURN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE AGAIN STAY WELL AWAY!!!
The room itself was extremely warm and humid even without the radiator being on which made it very uncomfortable to be in. Due to this hardly slept at all coupled with the noise of water going through the pipes and making a high pitched wining noise everytime someone in another room flushed a toilet or turned a tap on. Actually left the property at 5am despite my train not being until 9pm because of all this.
Old shower, curtain had holes in , lights outside room really bright at night bed uncomfortable for one person, no decaf coffee,
