The bathroom was clean
The room was pretty disgustingly filthy... the carpets and sheets were strained. The bar downstairs is under renovation.
It was filthy with thick layers of dust and mouldy bathroom facilities. Absolutely no staff on hand to talk to and no facilities at all. A building which has clearly been recently bankrupt and no bar, restaurant facilities like advertised. I want a refund for a truly disappointing and disgusting stay
The bed was comfortable. Place was clean. Location's good. Nice and quiet. Parking was free and easy. It was excellent value for money!
There was no mattress protector so I had to go and find another sheet to put over the bottom sheet. There was only one blanket and it was freezing the first night but there was no sign of spare blankets anywhere. We had to use several towels. It was a double room but there was only one cup and three pillows. I was surprised that there was NOTHING on the website to indicate that the pub is closed for renovations. We arrived after dark and it was hard to make out the scribbled phone number written on a bit of paper on the door that we had to ring for check-in. It was an anonymous, soulless welcome.
Great location, walking distance to Fitzroy / Collingwood. Room was very comfortable for me and had linen/towels/shower gel - everything I needed for my stay.
Shower could have been cleaned better and water was running tepid so couldn’t have a proper shower but was OK for one night and would still stay there again.
It is in a convenient position & the bedding was clean- they are the only positives!
There were no staff at all! We had to ring a number on the door to get the code to get into our room. We didn’t see a soul. The door into the apartment opened into the bathroom right by the toilet opposite the shower! Lol The room smelt of smoke & strange food smells at times. Eww! There was a kettle in the room but only one mug. On Saturday night just after midnight someone was knocking, then kicking, on the door downstairs!!!! I laid awake for ages waiting to see what would happen next!! It is rated as 3 star accomodation but it more like a 1or 2. Supposedly the hotel is “under renovation” but is actually closed & for sale.
