This famous Miami Beach hotel rises above 1,000 feet of Atlantic Ocean beach, just 2 miles from shopping on Lincoln Road and 3 miles from Miami's South Beach.
Thanksgiving stayPros: Stayed in the Chateau tower which was better than Versailles. Cons: It's a bit north of South Beach but not too bad.
The beds in the room were very hard and uncomfortablePros: Everything you needed was at the hotel Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable making it hard for me to enjoy my stay there. with the money you pay for the hotel the beds should be comfortable, giving you an at home feeling. The suite rooms we were in smelled very old
Pros: Location, room ,restorants, everything Cons: Fees for beech furniture rent
Large, luxury property Pros: Lots of upscale dining options within resort. Beach and pool options were nice. Great couples resort. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good service in all of the restaurant. I visited each restaurant for Miami spice week. Good security.Cons: Housekeeping was lacking. Trash stayed in the hall the whole day. Leave in the morning and return in the afternoon and trash still in halls. Used plates outside of door next to my room.when I checked in in the afternoon and it was still there in the evening after returning from dinner. They have lots of people working in that hotel and someone should responsible for retrieving room service items. Carpets should be swept daily. All staff should be like on cruise ships if you see tissues or paper littering an area you get rid of it, not wait for someone else. Ocean drive would have been a great area because you if leave the hotel and there are other options. Fontainebleau is isolated. I gave up trying to find a Starbucks or drugstore.
Disappointed Pros: Pool and spa nicely designedCons: Got there and found there were nerds and lipstick on the carpet as well as a big wet mark. I called front desk to see if the room had been cleaned and they said they didn't known but they could connect me to house keeping to see if I could get someone to come clean it. I said "can't you do that" she just said would u like me to give you house keeping number or not. Then on Kayak it soecifically says on some options "no breakfast w this deal" so I picked the higher price option bc it did not say that. I get to hotel and they tell me
Breakfast is not included. Then I try to go to spa and they charge me more money even after I showed them
My Kayak reservstion says spa included. Later that night I come back to the room to find it was never cleaned. I wouldn't even have complained about any of this had I not paid over $400 for the one night I stayed here.
HistoricPros: Historic hotel but kept as a new facility.Cons: Memorabilia from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr
Cons: The pool is closed very early
SpectacularPros: Location was excellent. The staff was very welcoming and incredibly helpful. The buildings are beautiful and everything was easy to use and easy to navigate. Overall the best hotel experience by far!Cons: N/A-Very impressed with everything!
Pretentious and overratedPros: The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortableCons: The staff is unfriendly and rude. They constantly remind you of what you "can" or "cannot" do as if you are in an airport. They have an extremely poor customer service as a whole. I travel to
Miami quite often and there are plenty of other 5-star hotels on Miami Beach that in my opinion have better customer service and are not filled with juvenile delinquent guests.
Pros: Amazing hotel. A little bit of a struggle to get a pool chair in the morning, but the room and views were spectacularCons: A little far from all the excitement in south beach
Do not waste your money here...Pros: It was nice being on the beach. The pool area is beautiful.Cons: The rooms are dated. No recent upgrades.
Cleanliness is questionable. Everything is super expensive on the property. $12 for a ginger ale, $10 for a bottle of water, and $30 for an alcoholic beverage on the beach.
Doesn't make sense when you are supplied with the most generic soap, shampoo, and conditioner in your room. Nothing is beautiful in the actual hotel rooms. Only the amenities, restaurants, lobby, and pool areas are aesthetically Pleasing. I will not stay there ever again.
Amazing property, High Prices, OK servicePros: The property is amazing! The pools are great - got a little crowded on the long weekend - but very enjoyable. We had an oceanfront room and the views were breathtaking.
The beach access was really good and you got free beach chairs.
Its a little away from south beach and all the shops and restaurants - but we knew that going in.
Room service was not up to par - they routinely forgot to replenish our coffee/ sugar.
Cons: The food was just OK - and the price for food and drinks was exorbitant.
Valet only parking and it was $45 per day!!
