10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very kind and makes you feel like a guest in her home. The house and rooms are adorable and in a great location. A slice of home baked banana bread was left in the room as a welcome.
Cons: It was a little chilly but the radiators work fast. If you’re not comfortable with stairs or able, this would not be the place for you. Also parking is quite far outside of town.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast complete and with fresh ingredients
Cons: Difficult to reach by car, Public parking nearby but not accepting creditcards
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great, the whole stay was a great experience,
Cons: Not a lot of parking available in the town but that did not reduce the overall experience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were delighted with Der kleine Globetrotter. It is a beautiful quirky 'gemutlich' house. The rooms were beautifully presented, roomy, comfortable and clean. I had the Paris room at the back of the house which had great views over the town. The owner was great - friendly, thoughtful and very generous in her time with providing help in planning our daily wanderings. Breakfast was a tasty mix of very fresh and well presented food and it was a bonus having tea and coffee facilities right outside our rooms. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the center of Monschau! Owner is super friendly!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staying here was like a warm bath: Friendly owner, nice, clean room, very quiet surroundings, a proper breakfast.
Cons: The pillows on the beds are very soft and thin, that diminished the comfort-factor quite a bit.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved opening the window in the morning and smelling the crisp air; also the view (from Paris room). The lady is very kind and the house is really lovely. We had water, coffee and tea available, and cake in the room. The bathroom was new and very clean.
Cons: Bed was a bit uncomfortable; mediocre mattress and pillows too soft. All the rest was perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very kind and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome, clean and comfortable room (cozy and warm on a cold winter weekend), good breakfast buffet and happy to have soy milk provided. And a good location in the centre of Monschau.
Cons: Nothing really
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Noisy single pane windows. I imagine it gets cold there in the winter. One window had a gap in it when closed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for exploring this picturesque small town. Great breakfast (they had sausages!) Lovely comfortable room with a balcony. Friendly staff too.

Cons: The road the hotel is on is busy in the morning

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing ..... The shower in the room was about as good as it got from this place, oh the Burger was ok.
Cons: When we arrived we was given a room about 200 metres up a road away from the hotel, we was unable to eat in the restaurant as it was apparently fully booked, we finally managed to eat outside in the cold. The staff are more interested in serving the locals, then the hotel guests, they defiantly run this as two separate entities, the hotel then the bar/restaurant. would never stay here again
7.0 Good
Pros: Great staff, nice breakfast and they fixed dinner for us even tho we didn’t have a booking. In general great team. Good value for the price and overall quite typical. Close to Monschau but not a walking distance.
Cons: The rooms were a bit small but functional, the main problem was the noise. Little to no sound proofing with the corridor, the dining room and mainly the other rooms. Guests came back at midnight yelling and woke us up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding continental breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located just in the border btw Belgium and Germany, calm, good for relaxing, exelent food and drink, very friendly staff, all especially Axel and Angel !

5.5 Okay
Cons: Not really 5 stars
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is very clean. Meal: alot of choices at the breakfast which is eye opening and the dinner was delicious and very satisfying. Everyone including us were also allowed to pack lunch, aluminium foil was provided. The staffs are very friendly too even though they speak very little english. smilling is a universal language i supposed.
Cons: the room is rather old. i am referring to room3, it is a combi of 2 single beds, my side is closer to window which was ok, my husbands is the one closer to toilet and it was making alot of noise for little move he makes.

With a stay at Haus Stehlings in Monschau, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Eifel National Park and Rotes Haus Museum.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host Johannes was helpful and very nice to talk to. The building is beautiful with amazing view of the river. The room is big and great if you are traveling with kids. Would highly recommend to others!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view! The character of the place. The restaurant tips. The flexibility of the rooms because I was traveling with my son and daughter aged 25 and 16 so ideally needed separate sleeping areas which we had.
Cons: Not much space in the shower but not much that can be done about that!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms towards the river are amazing. A truly spectacular property in a very picturesque town! If ever I'd be so lucky to return I'd just book this same place again. We came four wonderers on the Eifel-trail, checked in and followed the hosts recommendations for a pub where we had the nicest dinner of the whole trip. Super nice beds, and clean bathrooms and tea-facilities and all that, but to stay in this old building overlooking the river was truly amazing.
Cons: Leaving. We should have scheduled a day's stop in Monschau with surrounding getting two nights here. Great place to sleep in and read a book.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had the whole top floor of the old fachwerk house. Terrific outlook of the city roofs, brook far below and its calming sound. It's is right in the center, with marketplace just a few steps from the door. There are couple of bars for the night, and a nice bakery on the market square for the breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom is a bit basic, but it's not a problem.

Pros: The room and bathroom was clean. Breakfast is served on the eating table which was such a refreshing change from buffet system which we appreciate the personal touch. Breakfast was also flavourful. Parking on site was great as it saved time looking for one especially when we drove a long journey and decided to halt here suddenly. Location is walkable from main food area.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, breakfast was very good and the owner was most helpful
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and friendly host, very central location and parking was available not too far from the hotel
Cons: Could only check in before 6pm and the church bells ring very early in the morning!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Burghotel is great! The historical building is easy to find. We got a warm welcome from the owner and our dog could come too :) The room was cosy and clean. The bed was nice and big, sheets where fresh and from our window we had a nice view. Everything we needed for the night. In the morning we were surprised by a huge fresh breakfast served by the owner. Bread, home made jams, lots of cheeses, hams, fruit, eggs, coffee, thee, orange juice.. we could continue for a while. He was also happy to make a packed lunch for us - we were however stuffed from breakfast - and gave us some tips for nice hiking routes. We had an awesome stay!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of Burghotel is superb, and the hotel itself fits the atmosphere of the village perfectly. Staff was very nice. The breakfast was wonderful - fresh croissants and bread, fruit, yoghurts, eggs.... delicious.
Cons: The room was a bit small, with the bathroom behind a loud sliding door right next to the bed which woke you up if someone had to use it, and we had a double bed with two separate mattresses in it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect near main bridge and close to the square. There are many places around for eating and sightseeing too. Owners deserve the top class reward for their hospitality
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A classic hotel feel, with rustic furniture and everything taken care of. Excellent breakfast. Great location in Monschau.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We got a spacious attic room. Really charming with cozy old-world furnitures, felt like we were transported into a different time (in a good way, of course). Breakfast was excellent and very generous, they gave us more than enough cheese, cold cuts and bread to fill us up past lunch time. They also give a big coffee and/or tea pot for each table. A plus for someone like me who needs to drink more than 1 cup of coffee in the morning Prime location, everything is nearby. There is also an ATM below the hotel. The owner is quite the character. Always making people laugh with his jokes and also very generous.
Cons: Insulation could be improved. The attic room was a connecting room, therefore we could hear the guests in the other room. But it was still OK, because it did not affect our sleep at all. No toiletries. Somehow there was only hand soap in the bathroom.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The check in with Jimmy and indeed the fabulous breakfast
Cons: Our bed was a bit soft
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Breakfast was gorgeous. Host went out of his way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. Beds were comfy. Excellent stay.
Cons: Stairs are very steep but adds to the character of the building. ( didn't bother us)

4.5 Okay
Pros: The staff was very nice, they took the time to give us nice travel tips. Breakfast was also nice.
Cons: We stayed in a shared toilet room (this was my mistake, wrong booking). This room was extremely moist from the moment we entered the room. Bed sheet was feeling damp as well. We told this to reception however they told us that the room is not moist. I showed how the window is wet as a proof of the extreme moist, even though we didnt take a shower or whatever. They kept saying there was no moist.. Also it was extremely noisy, door of the room feels super thin and all the guests going to toilet and walking around was super noisy. We booked this place for 2 nights however we could only stay one night due to uncomfort we had, disappointed.
6.3 Good
Pros: Monschau is a lovely place for an afternoon visit .
Cons: The fact that on arrival we found that the bar and restaurant were closed that day. The sound of a delivery truck underneath the bedroom window at 6:15 am .

Pros: Garage parking for the motorbike; even though it required riding the wrong way on a one-way street!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel owners had changed but they were so friendly. There was a garage to put our motorcycles in that was very important to us. The food was amazing, they have a wonderful chef. 7.0 Good
Pros: Clean rooms Friendly staff
Cons: Misinformed on booking.com about available facilities on site (no indoor pool, no tennis courts, etc.) The hotel and all facilities are run down. Pros: Great value for money hotel and a lovely stepping off point for the Wilderness Trail. Room was in a separate building across the courtyard, but there are rooms in the main building. Even though close to the road the room was quiet. The hotel restaurant has a good menu and the table served breakfast was tasty.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Kind and ready to assist you. An upgrade was given as we were with a newborn baby and a dog. Excellent wifi. Ideal position for hiking and visit monschau (easy to reach with a comfortable navette that stops right opposite to the hotel). Breakfast was not a Buffett, but it was more than sufficient
Cons: Hotel is clearly from the '70, although very clean and welcoming
7.0 Good
Pros: The place is also a restaurant. This is convenient as we ate dinner there. The food was good.
Cons: The room was ok, though rather old decor. Our main problem was the bathroom. The sewage smell bad. Not sure if this was just at the room we were given. We didn’t complain as we only stayed for a night. The breakfast is not a buffet style. The ‘bed & breakfast’ serves 4 choices of sandwich meats & some slices of cheese depending on how many of you on a table. No tomatoes, no fresh fruits, no cereals being served. Each person gets a yogurt (no choice of flavor), and only orange juice is available. Overall, just don’t expect very much.

Pros: Very good location and safe place to park our bicycle. Breakfast was good. Room was a good size and the shower had plenty of hot water
Cons: A bit noisy as our room was facing the street. Lighting is poor in the room but not uncommon in this kind of hotel in Germany.

Pros: Perfect location, clean room, simple but good.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and made us feel very at home.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our second stay here and this time we took our bikes with us. The hotel is placed right in the center of Monschau and the included breakfast in good. Also, the cafe right next the hotel (the hotel and the cafe are together) offers some really tasty tarts! The hotel has a garage to safely store the bikes so we were very happy with that as we didn't have to worry about the bikes.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very nice and very helpful with food allergies Large room and clean
Cons: These are minor points It would have been nice to have a coffee or tea making facilities in the room The bedding was very nice and also clean but in 33c heat maybe brushed cotton sheets weren't the best choice.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Old world charm
Cons: Parking a long way from hotel. Difficult unloading and loading vehicles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely small family run hotel in a beautiful location, clean and comfortable, great choice at buffet breakfast. I have been staying at the Graf for the past 6 summers, spending up to 6 weeks a year here.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, just perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Ancient nicely renovated hotel, in simplicity. With a nice and warm welcoming host couple.
Cons: 2 TV channels.... but the village is so nice we didn’t need it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: nice area and great room. I liked how to mix the tradition with luxury. The breakfast was excellent and eat from porcelain. My 20 month son loved the jacuzzi and played a lot. The village is great who loves old village. The time stopped. Highly recommend for everyone , we will come back soon
Cons: It would be even better if they can speak in English, too. As we speak in German, we have not got any problem.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel was spotless, excellent breakfast and good location.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious and clean. Good continental breakfast.
Cons: Many typical small items such as coffee / team in the room were not available; there was no soap available in the bathroom and this had to be requested over several days etc. Staff seamed to begrudge our presence, and everything was "hard work" Hotel restaurant was only open on the Friday night, so eat out most evenings (not all locations were open) and nearly all severed a similar menu.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel with lots of character, in a great village. Great breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful oldie world hotel, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds in a lovely little town with cobbled narrow streets.
Cons: Hotel Advertised restaurant and beer Keller not available. Informed these were only open at weekend. No tea facilities in rooms also hotel wanted to charge 6 Euros to use WiFi.
7.0 Good
Pros: This family run hotel was one of the last available in this popular destination. In a lovely building but you can tell nothing much has been done to the place in years. I had a room on the top with a great view over the village. Bit of a schlepp getting my bags to the top floor though.
Cons: The bed could use a new mattress. The breakfast was ok but not up to the typical German feast you usually find. The couple running the place gave me the impression they've been running the place for too long. And paid internet access? I had to ask for it, it wasn't offered.

Pros: Staffs are helpful.
Cons: Pillow is too small , air-con is not strong enough, breakfast and dinner are not surprising.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good bedding, good breakfast, without being exceptional. Nice pool if you wake up early to avoid crowding.
Cons: The four star rating is questionable, the overall aspect of the room and amenities did not qualify, imho. WiFi is available...in the lobby.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms
Cons: Nothing
4.3 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Got to the hotel, no rooms were ready. Told to come back in 2 hours. Came back 3 hours later. No staff at all in the reception or bar. Waited 30 mins, then searched the hotel. The receptionist was on the 4th floor making up rooms. Had a blazing row with him and eventually got into a room at 8pm, some 5 hours after arriving!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: bed very comfortable, swimming pool a nice size, breakfast was good (would be better with more choice of pastries) and staff very friendly and helpful
Cons: no air conditioning, bathroom was a bit tired. loungers by the pool were very uncomfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Included breakfast was substantial in terms of offerings but not of the highest quality. Location was just outside historic center of the Monschau so it was an easy walk
Cons: There were no child cots available during the two nights that we stayed there, which was a slight inconvenience but perhaps we should have reserved one ahead of time.

Pros: Pool and sauna were a real bomus.
Cons: Type of shower door not the best arrangement.
