6.7 Good
Pros: The bathroom was excellent. Lovely long bath, hot towel rail and plenty of hot water. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The bedroom was dark, probably the curtains were half drawn for privacy but with wood furniture the effect was a dark room. Breakfast was very efficiently served but the sausages and tomatoes had obviously been waiting to go on a plate. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and the smoked salmon would have been better served on the side. The “Craster Kipper” was a fillet rather than a fresh kipper, it had a strange flavour and left an unpleasant aftertaste. The toast was thin and insubstantial.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: on a scale 1---10 everything got a 10
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent break, ideal location for all reasons, walking etc, visiting Cragside, which is only a short drive away.
Cons: Nothing that comes to mind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room with everything provided, great food and served up in timely fashion with a friendly smile.
7.0 Good
Pros: VERY good breakfast in a nice farmhouse which is set in a good rural setting. Our room which was in a different building was spacious but slightly old fashion with the décor, facilities, etc and had some noise intrusion from the rest of the house. staff very friendly.
Cons: Small improvements to our bed and bathroom needed for excellent rather than good review.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome cuppa in the guest sitting room. All the little extra comforts in the room e.g biscuits, fresh milk, binoculars. Lovely bathroom and shower accessories. Breakfast choice.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from the breakfast table. Nice breakfast, cleanliness of room. Comfortable lounge. Pleasant staff.
Cons: Narrow roads with the occasional passing places to get to the b&b. Our room was a short walk from the main farm house where you went for breakfast. Our lounge was also remote from our room with a short walk to get there, not a problem for us but possibly could be for older people, especially when raining or in the dark. There was however a light to aid the short walk back to the room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in August 2019 for one day at Mill House. Karen was very friendly and accommodating. She even reserved a table for dinner in a nice restaurant nearby. Our room and her house in general were very nice and we would have liked to stay longer. Also the breakfast was excellent. We even were allowed to briefly wash our car because it was a bit dirty from our over 1000 miles long journey (we are car freaks^^). Thanks again for the nice stay. We would come again at any time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was exceptionally good. A generous suite of spotlessly clean rooms, decorated tastefully in “French Chateau” style. Everything one could possibly require was there, in a peaceful rural location, but not too far from restaurants etc. Breakfast was wonderful too - lovely food, carefully prepared and presented. The hostess was delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely lovely plenty of it and delicious. The location is just right, well situated for walking, taking a boat trip, exploring the castles and the Northumbrian history. Or if you prefer a day relaxing on the beach. This is our second visit and we shall most definitely be returning very soon. It also makes such a difference being able to bring our dog, who enjoys the beach very much. The hotel accommodate the dogs so well, providing doggy towels and blankets. There's even a doggy treat on arrival.
Cons: Not a thing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every second thank you very much ☝️
Cons: Leaving
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our fourth visit to Eshott Hall over the last 18 months or so. We love the peaceful location and find it wonderfully relaxing. This time we took dinner in the restaurant for the first time and had an excellent meal. One other thing to note was the friendly reception staff.... quite a change from our previous visits when the rather surly “welcome” has marred our experience.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The setting is idyllic and location is good for local villages, 15 min drive to most places. Beautiful house and the breakfast was tremendous. The carpet in the room was stained in quite a few places and very low sockets with quite a lot of furniture made them hard to get to. Lovely bath in the room was a nice feature. Stunning views of starry night.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The greeting by Graham and Mel was very pleasant and warm. Safe parking area and they were awaiting our arrival and we were able to place breakfast orders for the following morning. The property is very well kept, very clean and comfortable. We had the large deluxe room on the top floor, views are great, especially at sunrise! Bedding, bathroom and sitting area clean and tiny. Just as the pictures. Tv in the room. Toiletries, tea, coffee, water, kettle, bathrobes all provided. Lovely surprise was the extra bed in the spacious room. Breakfast freshly prepared, full English, coffee, tea, toast, cereal options, fruit, juice etc! Perfect! Thanks for a lovely stay! I highly recommend this B&B.
Cons: I genuinely cannot think of anything that would have made this stay any better. My husband and I were really pleased and comfortable!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the spacious room and the extras that were provided including a generous amount of various hot and cold drinks and toiletries. The breakfast was perfect and every combination of requirements were catered for! Idyllic quiet country setting too!
Cons: In our opinion our stay was outstanding value and we wouldn’t have changed anything
5.0 Okay
Pros: I can’t say we liked much about the property except that it had a view of a farm at breakfast. The breakfast was good but not great.
Cons: We were put in a room upstairs, unpacked a little and went to our car to leave for a meal. We then had to go back in and get our things to relocate to another room. It was an honest mistake, but the damage was done unfortunately. It was disappointing. Not sure what the bed was like upstairs, but ours wasn’t comfortable.

Pros: Excellent breakfast from a wide selection menu. The fish - kippers, smoked salmon slice and smoked haddock choice were particularly good, as were the free-range egg dishes. The room was very comfortable with well stocked tea/coffee/chocolate drinks. Recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, as was the room. We had been upgraded to the suite, which was perfect for our stay and still had the wonderful view from the front of the house. Ian was an excellent host and pretty good breakfast cook, too. If you like kippers, this is the place for you. All the other breakfast options we tried, were great, too
Cons: Only the weather and that none of us can control.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A comfortable room with twin beds of good quality. Good shower and toilet facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and parking space excellent. We needed to leave early on our last day but this was problem and breakfast was provided. The food provided at breakfast was first rate with a wide selection of both hot meals and continental style. A good location close to town shops and places to eat.
Cons: The premises were a little difficult to find and access was available via a very narrow road.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent! Great location, quality service, comfy bed, lovely shower and a good breakfast - what more could you want? Some quality special chocolates - a little extra that was much appreciated!
Cons: The road up to The Haven is a bit narrow but we didn't find it too difficult. If a busy holiday period with a lot more traffic then drivers need to exercise caution.

6.0 Good
Pros: I requested a quiet room if possible; my room was directly above the bar which was noisy up until closing time

Pros: Rooms excellent with big beds, big bathrooms & bar/restaurant downstairs was also excellent. Ate dinner & breakfast and it was 10/10
7.0 Good
Pros: Food is excellent
Cons: Price for room we paid 320 bb for two nights which is expensive and expected rooms to be better than they were. They look lovely but the one we stayed in needed some attention to window sill and to window in bedroom. Had to prop it open with a book. 6.7 Good
Pros: The bathroom was excellent.

Pros: The breakfast was great and location fantastic. For a central hotel on a main road it was very quiet even for light sleepers.
Cons: The mattress (room 23) has seen better days with springs popping as you move around. Shower is not very hot.
