No problems. Average everything.
Nothing specific. Average everything.
Expefia booked us for only one night when I had asked for two. I did not catch the error in my confirmation email. When I checked in the clerk mentioned checking out after only one night. I poibted out the error and the staff person said “No problem.” The bext day about 1:00 the hotel manager calked me to say our reservation had expired and that we had to cone get out things or make another reservation at a much higher rate, over twicecas much as we’d paid through Expedia. We told her wecwould discuss this after we returned from the afternoon play and dinner. We did and refused to pay the higher fee of $525, collected our luggage and left heading out JFK and getting a hotel there giving we were due at 7:30 am the next morning. As we were leaving a staff person offered us a $350 rate. But by that time we were committed and left. If we had been offered this rate at checkin when the problem was identified we would have grafulky accepted the offer.
The service was superb! Diana was kind enough to offer a great place to take the kids for brunch, and always welcomed us by name. Serena greeted us with a smile and helped with a bag. Danny was also great.
Everything was perfect.
Good shower. Excellent location on midtown. Pretty quiet for nyc
Small rooms. Strange bathroom sink. Temperature too hot or cold.
staff was excellent, hotel was clean
restaurant was closed, upper terrace was closed, both appear be under construction, bed room was very small with limited space to unpack and put your clothes out of suitcase
Excellent location and amazing staff.
Valet greeted us with a smile, never once complained about the excessively heavy bags he mounted onto his cart-5 in all. Gave us pointers on what to check out while we were in NY. Receptionist was amazing as well. We arrived very early and she was able to get us right into a room! The room was small but nicely decorated and very clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay!
The staff is excellent. There are additional amenities including a bar, restaurant and nice seating area.
The rooms are nice, but a bit dark. Would like softer towels.
The junior suite was nice.
I had to request twice at the front desk that an engineer come to my room to check on noise in the walls. The engineer said that nothing could be done as it is the result of water going down the pipes. Thus, my sleep was disturbed multiple times in the evening. In addition, I requested to be moved which they could not and did not offer to move me to an equal or better suite.
Wonderful long weekend
Very clean, very comfortable beds. Staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be staying here again as the location is terrific. Subway is close by but it was an easy walk to museums and Central Park. Many great local restaurants and Whole Foods is a short walk away. I loved the "my pie" takeout around the corner.
work in progress in the hotel.
It was a very fun design for the hotel, and I really liked the modern/scandinavian look, especially the stone and glass bathrooms!
The bed was surprisingly not as comfortable as I would expect from a hotel. It was a bit hard, and the sheets (especially the fitted one) a bit scratchy (though the comforter was very soft and nice!)
Staff, location, quite clean. // Empleados serviciales, localizacion muy buena, bastante limpio.
Still working on the refit. Air Conditioning very noisy. Very expensive breakfast as many other hoterls in ny. // Sigue en obras. El aire acondicionado muy ruidoso. Desayuno carisimo como casi todos los hoteles de ny.
price was right, good location
noisy, poor service, still under construction.
the location, the bed, and espicially Pernel
The hotel is in the last stages of intensive renovation, but the renovated rooms are up to modern luxury standards and any inconvenience that you might experience is more than compensated for by the really cheerful staff. The Opia restaurant, which is independently owned by French management is good quality and a it has buzzing, funky bar.
very comfortable beds and friendly staff
Room service was not great - and there is no lounge /foyer area to meet and greet or to sit and have a coffee.
