They appeared to clean a lot. The bed was comfortable and the staff was always pleasant. Close to shopping.
Plenty of food, however none of it had any flavor, Italian restaurant was gross, couldn't even finish the dish. The Brazilian Meat restaurant was lame, hardly any meat worth waiting for. Took forever for the waiter to come to the table with each meat option (there were 6). Buffet was ok for breakfast but tiring after 2 days and it's your only choice besides room service which is slow so everything is going to be lukewarm. Nearly everything at the buffet was lukewarm and I worried about bacteria due to improper food temps, some was soggy. Jax 24 was not memorable nor was the sushi restaurant which took forever to get food. There is no alcohol in the room, only beer (Sol) is available, room service only brings 2 beers at a time. Pool service was sketchy until we tipped generously, then they paid attention to us, no food is offered, in fact, the waiters don't offer any food, unlike what we had in other all inclusive places. The only beer choice is Dos XX, at any bar, no top shelf alcohol available. Hot water was an issue, took forever for the shower to warm up - about 20 minutes, seriously. No water bottles anywhere except your room. Did not refill refrigerator until we asked. No conditioner for hair. The shows were lame, except the Disney tribute and the rock and roll show however even though people were up and dancing the music stopped. It would have been nice to even have canned music to keep the customers engaged. Else everyone just headed to a bar to drink out of boredom after the shows. There really is no 'adult' pool.
Panama Jack is located next to Avenida Quinta. That offers a lot of options for food and entertainment, depending on what you prefer. Breakfast was ok and the staff was polite.
The location is also a drawback, as it is extremely loud. The hotel offers all day animation by the pool, with very loud music and entertainment until late in the night. Guests can also be extremely loud, not to mention all the noise produced by the ventilation and air conditioning systems throughout the hotel. Overall, I would say that this is not an establishment for anyone who wishes to relax and if you do choose it, I would advise on a room as far away from the pool as possible. Another disadvantage of the hotel is the fact that the beach in front of it, however idyllic, is simply not accessible because of rock formations, therefore you need to walk away from this hotel in order to swim, foregoing all your "all inclusive" privileges... Unless you are the type of traveller who travels to Mexico in order to stay by the pool all day, not minding all the noise from the hotel animateurs and the screaming kids...
All aspects were excellent. Definately going back
Food...same every day for one week...
Very nice rooms especially if you choose a Suite on the beach
