10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at cinque terre residences was very comfortable. It’s a bit of a hike to get up to but if you arrange for the luggage transfer on your arrival this is not a problem. The room was nice each has an individual terrace/seating area. The free minibar and complimentary welcome Prosecco was a nice touch. There is also a shared top terrace with great views across riomaggiore and a sizeable jacuzzi. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay.
Cons: Make sure you take insect repellent if sitting out on your terrace in the evening. Though they did provide an insect diffuser.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Cons: Nothing all good
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, localization, hosts, breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cinqueterre Residence was a great location away from the main street of Riomaggiore. This property offered more privacy from the bustling main street which allowed us to to open up the doors/windows and enjoy the view of the valley. A private terrace offered a secluded feel to the location. The room, private terrace, and the separate courtyard seating with an ocean view were all spectacular! The staff was great, too - answering all our questions and helping to arrange taxis. A great location to set out and see all 5 villages in the Cinque Terre area.
Cons: Leaving. We didn't want to leave.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: it is great please. it is next to the beach so the waves are good and bad it is little noisy at night.but it will be good in summer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Paolo is the best host ever-enthusiastic about Cinque Terre, helpful and caring. He provides all necessary information about places to go, restaurants, transportation, shops and events. The location could not be better- it is just wonderful. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. WiFi works well. I like the pet friendliness of this place.
Cons: I always hate leaving...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, so close to everything. Everyone there was very helpful and gave great recommendations for food and hiking. Definitely going to visit again.
Cons: There was a sliding door that you couldn't lock when you left and the only way to lock it when you were there would be easy for anyone to unlock from the outside. It made me uneasy and I locked the individual door to the room when I was there.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room had a wonderful view and provided the necessities for a good stay.
Cons: While the view is amazing, there is a a challenge to getting to that room. We received assistance with the baggage and climbing the numerous steps - just remember, to eat you have to continue to climb the steps. Well worth it, if you are able.
L'Ancora - Riomaggiore - Bedroom
3
9.3 Excellent (499 reviews)
S$ 164+
Overview Reviews
The L’Ancora is set in a characteristic, ancient building in the heart of Riomaggiore. This charming town is set along the Riviera and is part of the renowned Cinque Terre. L’Ancora features traditionally furnished guest rooms and a common area complete with a free distributor where you can enjoy coffee, tea and hot chocolate. This small and intimate establishment is located in the town’s historic centre. Riomaggiore is situated in a small valley and is known for its wine coming from the many surrounding vineyards. It is close to sea and has a small beach on the Gulf of Genoa. L’Ancora is a great base for those wishing to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Cinque Terre.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, big room and the terrace was excellent for an afternoon drink.
Cons: Air con wasn’t very strong
8.2 Excellent
Pros: nice location on main street of riomagiorre. hotel staff was friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage there. clean room.
7.1 Good
Pros: The apartment was great! Very spacious and has a lovely terrace!
Cons: The Aircon was horrible - my room reached 28.1 degrees with the Aircon on. I would wake up in the night hot and bothered. I went to reception to mention this twice but no one was there to help.
6.3 Good
Pros: Proximity
Cons: Moving luggage up tight stairwell, charge of 10euros to get assistance
9.2 Excellent
Pros: No breakfast provided at L'Ancora, but coffee machine and snacks available at all times. Lovely roof terrace with views down over the village, facilities to be able to cook a light meal. Comfortable beds. Lovely character.
Cons: Small maintenance issues which need to be attended to. Quite high up in the village, and spiral staircases up to apartment - not a problem for us, but unsuitable for less mobile holidaymakers.
7.1 Good
Pros: Accommodation was clean and comfortable. A little issue with a leaking air conditioner so we were able to move to another room with a lovely terrace which was a nice touch.
Cons: This has nothing to do with the accommodation but more about the Cinque Terre in general. This is my 3rd time since 2011 and what a disappointment, SO crowded, so many tourists, so many selfies, the place has been over run by tourists in search of the perfect shot. Such a shame as it really was one of the most beautiful places to visit. Can’t really walk from Riomaggiore to Manarola anymore as the terrain has been spoilt. I’ll keep my Cinque memories as they were. No plans to ever go back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great; the room was clean and bathroom was modern. Communication from staff was good, too. I always felt safe here.
Cons: The air conditioning wasn’t powerful / cold enough.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very clean and the rooms have everything that you need for a short stay.
Cons: This isn’t really a negative but just to be aware that this is not a hotel but more of a guest house with rooms in a separate building to the main office and shared small kitchen. It was perfect for what I, as a solo traveler needed for a one night stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: perfect location
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Our room was lovely, and so was the area. The service was great & very helpful.
Cons: We were asked to phone when we arrived but only had Canadian phones. Then we had to lug our luggage up flights of stairs. (The town is on a cliff, so everything is up or down, so that isn’t really a fault.). I wasn’t that happy about the extra cost of E15 parking & E10 for the continental breakfast which i thought very expensive).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location just away from the tourist crowd of Riomaggiore, though extremely central to the village. The hosts were are very helpful and made our stay excellent. Would definitely recommend.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Host sorted out the parking for us so that was great.
Cons: A mosquito net would´ve been really useful as I would´ve preferred to sleep with the window open but there was a very good aircondition in the room so that was ok.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely view from balcony/trace, the owner was very friendly and helpful, generally very good place to stay in Cinque Terre
Cons: There was no heating in the room except one A/C and although our room was very, very tiny it could not heat it which with humidity was kind of unpleasant and even with extra blanket it made it difficult for me to sleep.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is away from the crowds but still close enough to enjoy all there is to see and do. Value is good, and breakfast was excellent. Wonderful communication!
Cons: Parking, of course, is difficult.

Pros: Stayed couple nights, charming little hotel in a great location to explore Riomaggiore and it's surroundings. Room was clean. Good breakfast. We arrived by car so the available private parking (for a fee) was a bonus.
Cons: Very steep and narrow set of stairs to get to the room with our luggage was a bit of a challenge, without the luggage it was just a good exercise. Also, just an observation, our room window faced very narrow alley so there was almost no daylight coming in at this time of year.

Cons: the rooms were different, we got the smallest room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The morning pastries were delicious and went well with our cafe latte. The accommodations were cozy and clean. It was 10 minute walk from the train station so it made it very convenient. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute little hotel in a great location in Riomaggiore. On the main street about a 5 minute walk to the water and close to cute shops, cafés and restaurants. 5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff was nice. Location was also good.
Cons: There was a mouse in my room. Of course they gave me a different room but it had a smaller bathroom. Also the room was very cold and Wi-Fi didn't work in the new room.

Pros: Location and excellent. The views to the ocean were stoning. The staff was outstanding. Attentive, very responsive to requests and accommodation. Always, always with a big smile The breakfast was absolutely very delicious. The staff member who was responsable to the check in was fenomenal, great attitude, always smiling. A 10 plus for him and the morning staff also. Happy that we were able to find a Spanish channel on the TV (Television Española) that keep us entertained during the night. Please keep it up for other future Spanish speaking customers.
Cons: Bathroom to small and was not quit clean. The shower head installed was very low quality. The holder wasn’t able to hold the shower head. As a consequence we have to maneuver the telephone shower with the hand.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing stay here in Riomaggiore, and wished we could have stayed here longer!! Such a beautiful place, the hotel is located a short walk up the hill from the town centre and with access from the lower streets by a lift which was handy. Very clean and tidy room, and we were also treated to a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a sea view room since the hotel was quieter in the low season! Enjoyed the beautiful views from our balcony and also had a delicious breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit and fresh coffee each morning! Would highly recommend a stay here.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location of this hotel is excellent, right in the center of town with lots of restaurants and things to see nearby.
Cons: It is very old and nothing has been updated. The AC does not work well, the beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom is just too small. I understand the location is unique and there isn't much space to expand, but with how much money tourism brings into the place they should invest in small improvements to increase guest comfort. A side note: they will remind you that wifi is not included in the price of your room, but that they do have complimentary wifi anyways. It only works out on the street. The wifi can't really be accessed from the room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A great location, just a few steps (uphill) from the pedestrian tunnel next to the train station. Lovely helpful staff. Great hillside view of the town from the balcony of the little apartment we stayed in on the 5th floor. Prepare for many, many steps. A nice, well equipped small kitchen. We could prepare food then take it outside to eat on the balcony with a table for four. The breakfast was really great, good variety of pastries, meats/ cheese cereal.
Cons: The light in the stairwell didn’t always work at night.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: Overall safety getting to room. Climbing 80+ stairs of varying degrees of difficulty was not appropriate! Checking in during a v busy bar service was terrible and not at all welcoming. Breakfast was also chaotic!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was very convenient! Close to the train station, the coast/trails and many good restaurants!
Cons: The staff could have been friendlier.
9.0 Excellent

Cons: Convenience and friendliness.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. people were friendly. The hotel was a little old but expected.
Cons: More security in the room. Better locks on the door.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: THIS WAS OUR 2ND VISIT TO HOTEL LaZORZA. THIS TIME WE TRAVELED WITH FRIENDS AND ADULT KIDS. THE LOCATION IS PREFECT AND OUR 3 ROOMS WERE ON THE SAME LEVEL AND HALLWAY.
Cons: STREET SIDE ROOMS ARE NOISY
5.4 Okay
Pros: If you only care about location this is the place. Air condition is good as well and WIFI works well.
Cons: The room was depressing and looked nothing like the pictures. Smallest shower I ever saw. The towels you get are more like sheets. No window to see out. The fridge is too cold so everything you put in there becomes ice. You can hear everything going on outside the room, from the neighbors, the street, the hallway, the bar downstairs and also the trains passing. Breakfast is included but very basic.

Pros: the hotel is perfect, the rooms very clean. it is well located since quite far from the station and the busy road, so it is very quiet. Luca is very friendly and very good guide. You can go there without problem. Great stay.
