Pros: Exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean throughout. Bed was very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. Staff were very friendly and engaged, which seemed most genuine.
Cons: Arriving around 8pm to find the restaurant closed due to "an incident over the weekend" was a let down. Staff gave me suggestions for food to be delivered and ordered for me as I do not speak French. A long and expensive taxi from VIA station in Jonquiere but that was my fault for doing inadequate research

A stay at Hôtel du Fjord places you in the heart of Saguenay, steps from Saguenay River and Zone Portuaire. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The river park. The bar had its weekly karaoke night which was just fantastic. The bathroom was the best I've seen in a hotel. We were just about the only strangers in the bar and normally we would just go up to our room. But the local people made us really welcome.
Cons: The surroundings were not great. However the river was a short walk away.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a large room with a king bed. It was clean, modern, and very well equipped. The rooms appear to have recently been upgraded. This was one of the larger rooms in the hotel. Reception was very helpful, recommending several excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk.
Cons: Public areas were average, but this was offset by the room which was great. They do need to add a few multi-plug outlets as we needed to charge phones and tablets in 3 different locations in the room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: In a very typical building in red bricks, this hotel is well situated by the river. The staff is charming, and the breakfast if classical is very tasty.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and parking space
Cons: Breakfast was not good. Only toast bread, a prepacked croissant and some small Yogurt cups. With a little effort, this can improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room good location
Cons: Breakfast basic
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The concierge was very helpful in explaining our options for walks, food, getting our washing done, etc. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and decent size, and the outside terrace for each room was a bonus. The internet is very fast and we had good satellite TV.
Cons: Although this is a hotel, it has no proper restaurant (just a bar, which I did not find appealing for an out-of-towner). The included breakfast is also fairly basic (nothing warm). The hotel is next to the bus station and the neighbourhood is not really attractive. You need to go up in to the village to find restaurants.

7.0 Good
Pros: Decent accommodation, bed was comfy, room clean. My two teens slept on the sofa bed, we had to call down for an extra pillow, and they brought one that was well loved(flat). Bathroom is very small, but clean. We had dinner at the Inter restaurant- make a reservation
5.4 Okay
Pros: Comfy bed and very well located hotel. Right downtown.
Cons: Rude staff, make you feel like you are a second class guess because you have booked through booking and that really doesn’t make you feel welcome. Rooms are very noisy, they provide earplugs but it’s not enough. Renovations are needed. Window in the room so tiny - not even a meter long.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location easy access to downtown

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Auberge Centre-Ville in Saguenay (Chicoutimi), you'll be steps from Saguenay River and 4 minutes by foot from Zone Portuaire. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff was great and allowed us to move rooms
Cons: There was music blaring from the bar while we were trying to sleep, the second floor is unliveable and the third was barely tolerable.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was quite good for getting to local restaurants. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Paper thin walls, so could hear every word and breath (including snoring) of the neighbours. But the worst was the loud karaoke in the bar two floors down that went on late into the night. Can't believe paying guests are made to suffer so that a few drunk people can have fun at the bar. No kettle in room. Building is lop-sided. Breakfast could have included more healthy options and less sugar. No elevator. Window faced a brick wall.
4.2 Okay
Pros: the morning staff were cheerful and helpful
Cons: Arrived at 11 p.m. (as I had prior notified the hotel would be the time of arrival) to a staff member whose reception was more of me being a bother. My room - up 2 flights of stairs - turned out to be either occupied or not made up. I was redirected to a room directly over the bar karaoke stage. I requested another quiet room (as requested on booking) and was told not possible. The music stopped at 12:45 although I was told it would end at midnight. The few people in the breakfast room indicated it could not have been a full hotel. The lack pf caring, the refusal to find a comparable room or an offer of a reduced rate or compensation has left me with a bitter feeling - I have cancelled my return booking. The only positive is the room was clean, the bed comfortable the morning women helpful in directing me to a shop as well as calling for a cab.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's really to the downtown. A lot of parking spaces around to parked the car.
Cons: But the music come to be a little bit too hard during the night.
4.6 Okay
Cons: The bar in the motel was loud, can’t not sleep

Featured amenities include express check-out, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice hostel, friendly staff
Cons: Showers are in the basement where the pub is which means you're gonna walk past drunk people in your pyjamas if you want to take a shower in the evening, a bit awkward. No lockers in dorms.
7.9 Good
Pros: the location was very convenient, and the bar downstairs was nice too.
4.6 Okay
Pros: It was calm when I was there, probably because it was a sunday night, can't think of anything else that was good
Cons: Smells like mould inside, beds are very uncomfortable, pillows should've been replaced years ago, lot of noise because it's next to the road, showers are downstairs next to the bar while you sleep on the upper floor, kitchen is very unpractical and old-fashioned, old building with wooden floor, every step you take makes a lot of noise
5.8 Okay
Pros: Price
Cons: There were insufficient bathrooms. Shorts were on the first floor - rooms were on the second and third - and the showers were next to the bar, which smelled of cigarette smoke. No one was at reception when we arrived, and all exterior doors were locked.

7.1 Good
Pros: The place is confortable and very clean. Our room was very spacious. Breakfast is delicious. The owners are really nice.
Cons: I was a bit disappointed when we arrived. It's a homey Bed & Breakfast, not a Chateau as you would expect by the name and pictures. Expensive for what it is.
