The hotel itself was okay. The lobby and rooms in the hotel have a dated feel, but were relatively clean. The hotel staff were professional. The valet service was a huge negative. DO NOT USE IT. We made the mistake of using it for the "convenience factor" instead of using one of the self-parking garages across the street. It took us 2 hours to have our car retrieved upon check-out. Looking around the overcrowded lobby area made me realize that we weren't alone. If you don't use the Drury's valet, the hotel itself is a mediocre value. We weren't blown away but it was a relatively inexpensive way to stay on the Riverwalk. If you end up here, make sure you park anywhere but in the hotel parking garage.

Pros: Enjoyed the kickback and proximity to riverwalk.
Cons: they charged my card $482 dollars for parking when it was only supposed to be $46. Took them a week to refund the money and then they still charged me for the parking!! What a joke! Where is the coustomer service?
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Elevator use was impossible, walked down stairs from 15th floor with luggage.
Cons: The hotel was at FULL CAPACITY and completely booked and although I don't have a huge problem with this as it pertains to the pandemic, it does seem like the hotel is not designed (or managed well enough) to support a full capacity crowd.
Excellent10.0
Pros: It id definitely 4+ star hotel and not 3 stars as indicated. Great service, location, free wi-fi, free breakfast and 5:30 dinner.
Excellent10.0
Cons: Only valet parking. Inconvenient for us
Excellent10.0
Pros: My room was very nice and had everything I needed for the week. I had a fully size fridge, microwave two desks and a separate room. It was nice to walk outside the hotel and be directly on the Riverwalk with great restaurants like Macy's, Ritas on the River and Iron Cactus just a few steps away. In the evening the hotel offers three free adult beverages with "snacks" but it could easily be a meal. We had chicken strips, salad, pasta and a baked potato available most evenings. The Air Force sends me here for training once a year and I look forward to staying at the Drury Plaza.,
Cons: My dresser was difficult to close, but it didn't bother me enough to report it until I checked out. No other complaints at all.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Excellent hotel near the heart of the riverwalk.
Excellent9.6
Pros: Great breakfast, lovely bathroom, comfortable beds.
Cons: Very slow elevators. Unfortunately we were leaving the same time a large group from a convention was checking out and the 3 elevators could not keep up with the demand.
Excellent9.1
Pros: I was very surprised that not only did I get free breakfast with my stay but also free dinner (buffet) and 3 free happy-hour drinks each day! The staff was friendly (sometimes almost over-friendly), and the location was perfect. Highly recommend.
Cons: Room smelled like chlorine when I came in, and the water tasted heavily chlorinated. The room was a bit poorly lit, and the windowsill outside the room was consistently overrun with pigeons. Glasses as opposed to plastic cups would be preferred (for the environment), and a safe to lock up valuables would have been nice. (I prefer not to have to take my passport with me everywhere.)
Excellent9.7
Pros: Breakfast was delicious, drinks were perfect, bed was comfy.

Pros: Location
Cons: Toilet leaked in our bathroom
Okay5.4
Pros: Location was wonderful, room was clean
Cons: Hotel was dated. Too expensive for what we got. Upon return to our room we discovered our AC was not working. Front desk sent up a tech but he couldn't fix it. So they gave us a fan.... No one from mgmt contacted me and no apologies. Just nothing. I paid less for my room at the beautiful La Cantera the night before.
Excellent8.0
Pros: This hotel is perfectly situated to really enjoy some of the best parts of the River Walk!
Cons: I had a spa service at the spa that is not owned by the hotel, but located inside the hotel on the River Walk level. It was not a good experience and then I was overcharged for it.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Front desk staff were exceptional as were housekeepingfolks as we travelled through the hotel.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The view of the room was amazing! Enjoy time on the top level pool with an amazing view of the city.
Cons: Construction on the second floor during the day.
Good7.7
Pros: Centrally located in Downtown, you are minutes from most sites and right on the scenic river walk. Nice and helpful staff will greet and assist you.
Cons: sound proofing. With construction across the street waking you up at 6:40 am, easily hearing the conversations of others in the hall ways and flushing of toilets, sleep was easily disrupted. shower tub and carpet had stains/not fully cleaned. bathroom fixture groves had visible dust collected. really small pool, not sure if its that i'm from Miami, Fl where there is many pools. its about the size of the elevator hallway and maybe 4 ft deep.
Good6.5
Pros: Room was nice and orderly. Friendly staff.
Cons: Couldn't get the room cool enough. Didn't sleep very well due to the room not being cool enough. Very humid.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Riverwalk location.
Cons: Restaurant prices.
Excellent10.0

Cons: The roof deck pool wasnt heated - quite chilly up there!

Excellent10.0
Pros: Great location. Beautiful hotel
Good7.1
Pros: was disappointed that things I had taken for granted for the price we were paying were lacking. Such as.....quality of toiletries, no robe in room, no high end restaurant in hotel, no full service spa facilities.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, exclusive access to the Alamo and Riverwalk
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, nice and clean room. Easy parking across the street too.
Excellent9.3
Cons: I paid for a balcony overlooking the river and the hotel doesn't even offer them. They told me that sites like yours are known for promising things that don't exist. I am very disappointed with my reservation price!!!!
Excellent10.0
Pros: The location right on the riverwalk is excellent! Hotel is very nice and staff is very friendly! Would definitely stay again in the future.
Cons: My only compaint about the hotel is the cost of parking. Valet parking is $40 and self parking is $30 per night. Very expensive. If you stay a few nights parking ends up costing you as much as an additional night's stay.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Fabulous location, very friendly staff who were very accommodating. Excellent bronch every morning. Wait staff in the restuara to were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room was a reasonable size but bathroom was a little bit worn. On the one day we forgot to leave a tip, the cleaning staff did a less than adequate job cleaning the room.

Pros: We are moving from coast to coast during the COVID 19 crisis. The Gibbs Hotel (across from the Alamo) was not just open, they were extremely welcoming and caring within the necessary restrictions. We had the most beautiful room ever overlooking the Alamo. Although beautiful San Antonio was closed during the pandemic, we will not forget our stay at the Gibbs. It makes things so much better when everyone is worried and stressed to have a place where they not only remember their history, they preserve their beautiful hotel with all the modern amenities. This is a 5* property with 5* staff.
Cons: As a downtown hotel, they have parking in a city lot which is certainly going to be very busy and crowded in normal tourist times in downtown San Antonio.

Pros: Location was great
Cons: Kind of dark interior needs brightening.
Okay5.3
Pros: The location was the only thing good about the hotel. 5 min from the down town riverwalk
Cons: Do I have enough space. Let's see. First off the room looked nothing like any of the photos. The room was void of any color, decorations, furnishings or character. It was no where near a $200 a night room. From to moment you arrive you are on your own to unload your bags, drag them in the hotel and then hopefully find the lobby to check in. Which is on the second floor. Everything is expencive like you would expect but their is little to no staff to help you. I would never stay at this hotel again.
Excellent10.0
Pros: large rooms with a lot of amenities friendly, helpful staff
Excellent10.0
Pros: I liked the friendliness of the staff, the attentiveness of the staff always willing to help. Hilda the housekeeper kept the room cleanliness very well and orderly. I am happy with my experience. It was a great location right on the river walk.
Okay5.7
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Bed corners are very dangerous, I end up with bruises because bed woods expand from mattress and you can hit your legs easily unless you are very careful. I had the opportunity to talk to other guests and they complain about the same dangerous corners. Bathroom have to many gabs on counter and your personal products can fall while cleaning is happening and you will never find them. If your leave something you have to go to a website to file lost and found. That is very far from what is the main reason of hotels, customer service...... Very poor in that part. Most rooms the city view is the windows of the next building.
Excellent10.0
Pros: All the staff we encountered were courteous and helpful from the valet to the manager. Keep up the great service
Okay4.2
Cons: The construction limited the entrance to a single, slow, temporary, small elevator to the check-in counter on the second story. Hotel services were limited to a makeshift bar and restaurant.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The staff and the place are great !
Excellent9.4
Pros: Great hotel overall. I rated it down because the valet situation gave me hell a few times. Give yourself plenty of time for valet to get your car, especially when it's raining.
Good6.8
Pros: Great location since we could walk a block and a half to the majestic theater. Beautiful room, nice view, but the restaurant was closed for dinner and the breakfast was $63 dollars.
Cons: Great location since we could walk a block and a half to the majestic theater. Beautiful room, nice view, but the restaurant was closed for dinner and the breakfast was $63 dollars.
Excellent9.7
Pros: We really appreciated the location of the hotel, it was really convenient in that sense, it was within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The staff was also really friendly.
Cons: Almost everything was perfect, but it would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room to store our own food and drinks. Also one of our beds was squeaky and that made it uncomfortable to sleep on so better beds would have been nice.
Excellent8.5
Pros: We had nothing but trouble with Kayak and Getaroom. The Getaroom staff, in fact, was terrible. I will never use Kayak or Getaroom ever again. The Valencia was great, though. Wonderful staff.
Mediocre3.7
Pros: Staff was unprofessional. Check in was at 3, we got there at 7 and the room still wasnt ready. While we waited for 45 minutes we had to get dressed in the public restroom and my girlfriend had to straighten her hair in the hallway because there was no outlets in the restroom. After we finally got our room we had to rush to the spurs gsme that we had planned and ended up missing the first quarter all because of the staff at the hotel. We decided to switch hotels the next day. Other than that the hotel was really nice looking.
Excellent10.0
Pros: We have traveled often and frequently. We arrived and found that the best service, ambience, and dining was apparent. Our room was perfect, room for our luggage, etc. Can't wait to return.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The location, the staff, the great breakfast, and comfy room
Cons: Nothing
Excellent8.6
Pros: The lobby was lovely, the bar was nice, and the hotel was right on the Riverwalk.
Cons: Table lamp on the floor. Already opened $6 water bottle in the mini bar, expired food in the mini bar, windows only opened a few inches due to poor bench placement. No table for sitting, only a bed. I think this room was a poor representation of the hotel, but it needs to be addressed regardless!
Excellent10.0
Pros: Everything was great. The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond to make your stay even better. I will definitely be coming back. The only thing that was annoying was how exspensive the things were in your room mini bar.
Excellent9.7
Cons: We waited 30 minutes for our car after check out. CALL AHEAD...way ahead!

Cons: Parking is terrible. Traffic does not allow you to easily park and you have to park on the 7th floor or above. That costs $29 a day! If you want Valet, it's $42 a day. Absolute headache.

Pros: Nice and clean hotel with very friendly staff. Centrally located so you can walk most places very quickly...or take a cheap Uber ride. Breakfast buffet was delicious!! We parked our car at valet but wasn't aware that it was $40/night. You might find cheaper options in one of the many parking garages close by. All and all...great place to stay!
Excellent9.3
Pros: Staff were very nice and helpful, for example, suggesting I park in the structure across the street for much less than the nightly on site parking charge, with no real lack of convenience. The location on the river was excellent--directly out the back door to River Walk. The sister property directly across the river, Mokara, has an excellent gym available to La Mansion guests. Very friendly staff at the bar with a reasonably priced, tasty, late night dinner.
Good6.2
Pros: Location
Cons: Very hot elevators, sink did not drain, beds mattresses need to be replaced
Excellent8.0
Pros: Lovely looking. Nearness to everything on riverwalk.
Cons: We paid extra for double beads, with taxes, extras, etc. and paid 300$ with discounts. It was an inner room with no view/ window.
Good6.3
Cons: Facilities are in poor shape. Appear to be redoing during our stay. Location is good. Molars spa is very nice.
Good7.1
Pros: Good location and friendly staff
Cons: Very old hotel. Our first room had a broken faucet. Second room was better but needed updating. A ton of road noise and party people on Friday night. Very expensive especially the breakfast buffet which could have been larger for the price.

Pros: This bad experience had ever happened to me and my family before. I will never use again KAYAK again to book my reservations. Result, they have this "Getaroom" subsidiary with a poor description of their booking application, and it scammed you before you know the transaction has a nonrefundable policy until it is too late via your email confirmation. I called them, my credit card, agent, and the hotel. None of them were in the good customer satisfaction attitude to refund my money, cancel, or reschedule the booking transaction. Be aware of using them to book your reservation before it is too late. Anyone can make a mistake some time, but this Draculonian thirsty-blooded camming business does not care for you. Pray to Lord, this kind of business entities does not prosper any more in the traveler's economy.
Good6.0
Pros: Very nice location
Cons: no AC in hallways, bedroom ac did not work that well. Needs to be updated for sure.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Love the balconies over the river walk, historic character of the building and that it's pet friendly. Enjoyed listening to the church bells in the pool court yard (we were there on Easter Sunday morning).
Cons: Had to pay for wifi. Verizon cellular service barely worked in our room, cell & text functioned poorly, data did not work, so we did not have internet access during our stay.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Comfortable bed great location friendly people
Excellent8.5
Cons: Bad irons . . . One spat red stuff with the steam function . . . the replacement was dirty. But the staff replaced them no problem
Excellent10.0
Pros: Courteous and friendly staff. Personal attention to each patron. Well maintained rooms and facility. Atmosphere is great.
Excellent9.3
Pros: Great staff. Great location. Nearly everything is within walking distance. Different than your traditionally generic hotel. Actually located on the river walk. Highly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend and definitely stay here again.
Cons: Slow elevators. Some of the hotel room doors had windows which was a bit odd.
Excellent8.5
Pros: Great location and I liked the rustic feel of the place.
Cons: The card reader on the door did not work well. Took at least 10 tries before it actually opened the door. The carpet isn't the greatest. Have to pay for wifi.
Good6.5
Pros: Being an Onmi hotel I had much higher expectations. It was very dark, although they wanted a certain style (not sure exactlybwhat it was, old, Mexican, historic) they didn't pull it off very well. The carpets were dirty and dull, the room was musty and very dark. The staff was very friendly, the location was prrfect, right in the heart of the fun, the bed was very comfortable and the towels were nice.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Everything. Breakfast on the riverwalk, emaculate rooms, stylish old style bar with knowledgeable bar tender.
Cons: If you hear the alarm, call the front desk. It's a parking garage across the street. They don't own it. It shuts off quick, but the front desk won't hear it, so call them .
Excellent8.8
Pros: It is located right on the riverwalk. Very good staff and comfortable rooms.
Cons: My room was on the street side and the traffic was very loud. I would recommend a room on the river or interior part of the building.
Excellent9.7
Pros: The staff was amazing upgrading us for free to accommodate our requests. Couldn't be more convenient for the River walk.
Good7.1
Pros: The good news is that the hotel is right on the River Walk, so you're right in the heart of the action. If you're looking for action - this is the place to stay.
Cons: The bad news is that the hotel is right on the River Walk so you're right in the heart of the action. A lot of noise from the River tour boats and people, so if you're looking for quiet - this isn't the place.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Love the fact that from the time you pull in till the time you leave the staff takes all the stress out of your stay. Also love that you can walk right out the doors and your on the river walk.
Cons: The only complaint is there is no hotel shuttle to area attractions.
Located in Downtown San Antonio, this romantic hotel is steps away from Briscoe Western Art Museum and River Walk. Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and Alamo are also within 10 minutes. San Antonio Station is 18 minutes by foot.

Pros: The room was considerably larger than I expected, with a separate sitting area. Everything was clean, and in good condition. The regular price was fairly expensive, but I managed to get a reasonable rate through Expedia.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating!
Cons: The fee for parkig at the hotel was ridiculous, $36 per night.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Right on the RiverWalk, Hotel Contessa is luxury meets romance. My sister stay here on spring break and had a wonderful time. The staff was helpful and the city is definitely tourist friendly. Filled with history, charm, and luxury, downtown San Antonio along with the Hotel Contessa were great for our girl's getaway.
Cons: Although the city is tourist friendly, we did got lost. Also, the Hotel Contessa needs to hire more people on their housekeeping staff. During our stay, housekeeping forgot to clean our room one day. Other than that, things were great.
Excellent10.0
Pros: very clean, great location, friendly staff,
Excellent8.0
Pros: nice "earthy' atmosphere and location love the suite option
Cons: very expensive valet parking and no self parking lot poor room service options and other snack options no balconies or windows to open poor ventilation in rooms small pool and hot tub broken
Excellent10.0
Pros: THE staff was very accommodating and very nice. Everything was provided before I would ask for it. Overall, a great experience . Love the old Spanish charm that the hotel is made off. Very charming ambiance.
Cons: The session that I attended in San Antonio finished every 2230 in the evening. I did not like that the hotel restaurant is close early like around 2200. I wish the restaurant is open 24 hours. I also wish that there is a Starbucks inside the hotel for the convenience of all the hotel guest.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Made a special stop at the river walk on our five day trek from Pittsburgh to puerto Vallarta Mexico. Stopped to enjoy the beautiful view and exeperience the river walk. The resort was absolutely gorgeous. Unique with design, very friendly conceierge, and beautiful room layout.
Cons: Our one and only critique, and rather silly at that, after pulling in with our vehicle and stopping at the front valet, the attendant seemed almost shocked when we said, yes we would like you to park the car, and replied with an almost doubtful "are you sure? Wouldn't you like to hear the prices?" Though I'm sure he was just trying to do his job and avoid later frustration, the tone in which he asked us the question was borderline offensive. Young man if we can afford to stay where we are staying we certainly assure you we can afford to park.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great location, great upgrade and we loved how it was just steps from the river walk. Superior and extremely welcoming staff.
Cons: Took about half an hour to check in.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location and large size rooms
Cons: Issues with hot water and terribly slow and incompetent valet
Good7.7
Pros: Check In was easy. Hotel room sitting area was actually very comfortable and functional to use, unlike most average hotel suites. Location was great. On the Riverwalk plus just 2 blocks from literally everything. Self parking lots were super close as well, if you don't like waiting for the valet everytime.
Cons: Hotel desk staff were business friendly, but it did not feel genuine. Which is the opposite of everyone else we met in San Antonio. This was one of the friendliest cities we've encountered!! Also the tub in our room did not drain properly, so you stood in water while you showered and the faucet was loose and spun all the way around.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Cyn from the front desk and Michael at the concierge desk were fantastic! They helped make my stay amazing!
Excellent8.0
Pros: The suite was great - nice sitting area, spacious bathroom, good bedroom and everything worked perfectly. The hotel's location is directly on a loop of the riverwalk which is good because it puts you right into the attraction, but is not on the main section so it's much quieter and easier to find a dining place. Parking is available across the street from the hotel and the street itself is not as busy as those nearer the Alamo.
Cons: Parking at the hotel is a ridiculous $36/night and they charged for two parking spots for our two motorcycles even though we actually had both bikes consolidated out of the way in the valet area not even in the parking garage. That was irritating. The hotel staff were polite but very cold and decidedly unfriendly. Don't believe I did anything to be offensive or difficult - I didn't even argue about the parking issue - but all of the desk staff (two in the evening, one in the morning) gave the impression they had much better things to do than speak with me.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Very clean. Polite, professional staff. Wife enjoyed the spa and the gym is very nice. Good location for visiting all of the tourist spots in san Antonio.
Cons: No hand rails in the bath tubs/shower. Fell twice getting into and out of the shower. Sides of the tub are very high. Too many children running around the halls unattended, noisy. No frig or micro wave in the room. Onsite food and drink is very expensive. Ice machines are far apart on the floors. no vending machines for late night drinks/snacks. Valet parking is very expensive. View was nothing spectacular because of the trees surrounding the hotel.
Good7.7
Cons: The front desk staff was unprepared and it to over 45 minutes to check in
Excellent10.0
Pros: Seriously, all was fantastic
Cons: Nothing I can think of. I don’t care to visit San Antonio much but this hotel makes me want to go
Mediocre2.0
Pros: Nothing such to like
Cons: I feel it’s over priced and not worth for 100$/ night poor room service and not much options for food
Excellent8.0
Pros: Beautiful hotel friendly staff and in my opinion worth every penny
Excellent10.0
Pros: Fantastic service, and well-appointed all-suite hotel. The hotel exceeded expectations, and was truly a great value.
Cons: An included breakfast would have been great, but I knew this was not included when I booked, so it doesn't diminish my opinion whatsoever.
Located in Downtown San Antonio, this eco-friendly hotel is steps away from Shops at Rivercenter and LEGOLAND® Discovery Center San Antonio. River Walk and Alamo are also within 10 minutes. San Antonio Station is 12 minutes by foot.

Pros: Very nice accommodations.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was understaffed, was not explained properly

Cons: The room was small and we couldn't even upgrade
Excellent8.8
Pros: Everything, but the outdoor smoking areas were in direct sun or behind pool area that had no air.
Excellent10.0
Pros: From the complimentary brunch at Ruth Chris, to the friendliness of the staff, i am impressed everytime i come here.
Excellent8.8
Pros: Almost everything.
Cons: The fact that self parking beneath the hotel costs $30 a night!
Excellent9.4
Pros: Beautiful view. Very peaceful.
Cons: Didn't realize there would be 60$ charge for parking
Excellent9.0
Cons: My room key stopped working when I returned to the room after taking a swim at the pool and had to wait wet about 10 mins till they came up and replaced the key.
Good6.0
Pros: I loved the location. Steps from the river and the mall.
Cons: My room had way too much wear and tear. The head board was all scratched up. The tub has cracked and rusted and was clogged up the water would not drain when i took a shower. The door handle was at 5 o clock instead of 3. The room did not feel like a Grand Hyatt room. It felt like i was at a cheap hotel. I suggested to the manager that that room should not be occupied untill it get fixed.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Staff friendly
Excellent10.0
Pros: Central location, the RoJo Bar, the valet, bellhop personnel were wonderful. The manager of the RoJo came around to meet some of the guest was very informative and friendly.
Cons: HAVING TO PAY FOR INTERNET AT THE BUSINESS CENTER AND FOR LOCAL CALLS. YUCK
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location was great!
Cons: Cost me $88 to park for two nights.
Good7.7
Pros: Location is adjacent to convention center, staff is very professional and strives to make you feel welcome. Rooms are clean and everything worked.
Cons: Rooms are dated with sound transmitting walls. Amenities are business travel grade without the higher end amenities expected for the price.
Okay5.1
Cons: I didn't like that when checking in they ask for my credit card again after I had already paid $857 online. Not knowing that valet was not included they kept trying to swipe different amounts to charge and blocked my card for suspicious faudulent charges. Terrible communication cuz they could've asked me what card I wanted to use, nothing. Also valet customer service was horrible while my sister was arriving in her vehicle with my nephews she asked for help carrying her luggage off and was ignored by valet. He could've called someone for help, but definitely not worth the money, never again
Excellent10.0
Pros: Location was right no the river. Beautiful Lobby Rooms were very comfortable, awesome view of the tower.
Cons: Valet Parking was $37 + Tax = $40.00!
Excellent9.4
Pros: The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional.
Cons: Train noise in the early morning hours outside the hotel and noisy visitors next door and down the hall.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The service from the hotel was very much as I would of expected. As soon as in pulled I to valet, the valets were very kind to not only greet and open the door, they immediately unloaded the car and took me inside to check in. With warm greeting from the staff, I was very impressed with how clean the entire hotel was in addition to the room. Great service and defiantly will be back
Cons: One if the employees seemed to have a little bit of attitide considering that all I asked for was to have shaving cream sent to my room. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Pros: The breakfast was really good. Not spectacular, but better than any of my group expected. We ate there every morning. The pool may be small, but it's a little oasis! So beautiful! As a matter of fact, the entire hotel was beautiful! We were worried that it was going to be somewhat far from the convention center, but we just cut through the mall every time and it was super easy and fast. Next year, it'll be our little sneaky way to stay close to the convention without staying in the godawful convention hotel or one of the overpriced surrounding hotels.
Cons: We had a room that sort of had a balcony, but the door was nailed shut. That was kind of disappointing... The windows were as well, which made it turn out to be a very bad decision that we sprayed on sunscreen in our room... To get a mini fridge, you need to pay a one-time fee that I think was $25. My group didn't bother, but be aware of that extra fee. Pool was only just large enough to do any actual swimming in. It also only reached maybe 5 feet deep. If there had been a crowd, I imagine it would not have been very fun.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Pleasantly surprised. My expectations were low given the amount I paid for a 3 day stay and was impressed upon room entry.
Cons: Clothing alignment within closet. Not enough to obscure my rating though.
Excellent10.0
Cons: The staff at the Crockett are always AMAZING. Don't change anything you're definitely doing it right.
Okay4.2
Pros: Large room
Cons: Large room...room felt like an unfurnished apartment. T.V. was off to the left side of the bed all by itself on a desk...so had to lie on my side to watch anything leading to sore neck back and shoulders...horrible. Absolutely ruined my day! Ernie's bar was not open Sat or Sun before 3 pm!? And it was a holiday weekend and opening college football weekend and I had to go to another hotel bar to watch the game..OU V. Houston. I've stayed her for the 2nd and last time.
Excellent9.1
Pros: convenient as far as location and accessability to San Antonio "highlights". beautiful, historic. Great staff for the most part. because there was no gym/work out facilities on sight and the pool was out of commission during our stay, Crockett did direct and make it possible for us with a nearby facility/hotel.
Cons: we noticed when we were going to use a couple of glasses in our room for water/soda...that the "old" glasses were what we had to use and that the liquid from the previous night wasn't even emptied by the housekeeper that day...unfortunate...made us question whether the room was cleaned more than just make the bed...
Excellent10.0
Pros: Beautiful building, clean rooms, and perfect location
Cons: Parking fee was a bit high at $25
Excellent8.2
Pros: Excellent location for access to all attractions around the downtown area. We could take bus to where we wanted to go.
Cons: Wi-Fi access was not working smoothly for the first time, we needed to call tech center to get connected for our laptops. But, once connected, it worked fine later.
Excellent9.4
Pros: The hotel is a nice combination of modern and heritage. The location is perfect. Breakfast is far better than most.
Cons: The rooms are a little tight but due to the age of the hotel this is to be expected. I'd like to see some potatoes at the breakfast.
Good7.1
Pros: Location, historic charm, view (on the Alamo side), window shutters, large rooms, good weekday rates
Cons: The beds are rock hard, the air conditioner was very loud, the pool is across the alley, the parking costs $24, the breakfast was meh
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great historic hotel in the center of where we wanted to be. We could walk out the front door of the hotel, cross the street and enter the back of the Alamo grounds. Absolutely beautiful! Our kids loved that we could walk to the River Walk and explore. Beds were comfortable, no fridge or microwave but it's a historic hotel, I didn't expect them to have the electricity to support all that.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Service excellent rooms little small but very nice and cozy. Breakfast was the best part of the day do much to choose from. Great location.
Cons: When calling front desk took them a long time to answer. I even had to call twice before they would pick up. The elevators are a little small but they work at least. And again the rooms are quite small but it's just due to the history of the hotel.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Loved the service and the friendly staff. Felt like home away from home.
Cons: Their was dust on the coffee maker. I am a big time coffee drinker. And dust on the cabnet and mirrors, shelfs, bathroom. But not caked on.... Coffee pot needs to be cleaned every day.
Excellent8.5
Pros: I picked the Crockett for its location and its price. My boyfriend and I just wanted to get away for the weekend, and spend some time on the Riverwalk, and this hotel provided just that. Just across the street from the River Center Mall, the Crockett has very easy access to the Riverwalk, plenty of restaurants, shopping, and it's also butted up against the Alamo :) Plus, they offered a complimentary breakfast, which was nice to get up for.
Cons: The rooms were a bit smaller than the pictures led me to believe, but what hotel doesn't do that? I wouldn't say that the Crockett is very romantic, but it suited our purpose :)
Excellent8.5
Pros: Room was very large. Room and hotel overall were clean and comfortable. Great location - next to The Alamo and across from shops at RiverCenter / RiverWalk. Very good breakfast which was free for my family of four.
Cons: A/C in the room was noisy when shutting off after each cycle. It didn't prevent us from sleeping, but it was noticeable. Also be aware parking is not free and is in an outside lot close by - very short walk. We had no problems, and it's unlimited n and out. I was a little worried about a hail storm as it was stormy a couple nights.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Nice rooms that appear to be recently remodeled. Great full breakfast every morning. Very centrally located close to The Alamo and Riverwalk. Staff are very kind and helpful too.
Located in Downtown San Antonio, this romantic hotel is within a 10-minute walk of River Walk, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and Alamo. Market Square and Alamodome are also within 2 mi (3 km). San Antonio Station is 19 minutes by foot.

Pros: Room, location, close to activities
Cons: All good
Good6.0
Pros: Overall clean Downtown and river walk location.
Cons: Valet parking should be part of the overall expense. Coffee machine wasn't maintained. Mini bar wasn't inexistent however an offer sheet is advertised.
Excellent9.1
Pros: The staff were very nice and professional, from our morning check-in after travelling overnight, to our check out. Greatly appreciated. The location right on the Riverwalk is great with a short 5 to 10 minute walk around to the restaurants and bars.
Cons: Finding a partially drunk drink bottle in the mini fridge is not what should happen during these Covid 19 times. I brought it up and they offered to take care of it right away. The riverside view room is not worth it as it overlooks the back of other buildings with loud constant air conditioning units. It was nice to see the occasional boat pass by but not worth the upcharge.
Located in Downtown San Antonio, this historic hotel is steps away from Alamo and Plaza Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe It or Not. River Walk and Shops at Rivercenter are also within 5 minutes. San Antonio Station is 17 minutes by foot.

Pros: We liked the Menger Bar, very authentic. The lobby and public areas were very inviting.
Cons: Long walk to the elevators. Ice machine was out of order.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Staff was friendly and Help full
Cons: Parking was open air and the car had a dirty and the wind screen was water spotted when returned. At the cost per day the least you could have done was clean widows if the only place to park is outside.
Okay4.8
Pros: It's really close to the Alamo and shopping. It is historical.
Cons: The hotel's rooms were dated. The carpet seemed old or cheap. Twin beds? Really? And we were so far from the elevator. It literally took over a minute just to walk to the elevator from our room. It was hot on the 5th floor. They had to bring us a fan because we couldnt get the room below 78 degrees and the staff didn't really seem to care that much about it.
Good7.1
Pros: The hotel's location can't be beat: a block away from the Alamo, a couple blocks away from the convention center, and right next to a shopping mall with a wide variety of restaurants and stores. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The room worked for what I needed, but it could have been better. The bathroom was small and was, for some reason, built 6-8 inches higher than the rest of the room. You could hear everything through the walls.
Good7.1
Pros: Loved the location and big room
Cons: The full sized beds. Our cleaning guy did not do a great job at all. There was someone else's hair all over the wall in the bathroom.
Excellent9.7
Pros: San Antonio's 1859 hotel was all it promised. Perfect central location next to the Alamo, and the Menger Hotel itself is rich in history, generously displayed throughout the building. The room itself was just fine, but I am interested mostly in the ambience outside the room (so long as the beds, showers and such are good). We will return. One note of special interest: the maid was a great source of info; cheerful and helpful!
Cons: The view from the window? - a wall! Next time we will ask for a courtyard or other external, interesting view. Otherwise, all was well.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Great location downtown, close to riverwalk, right across the street from the Alamo.
Cons: No ventilation in the room, so bring a small portable fan. Events in the plaza across the street (protesters, musicians) can be quite loud and go on late into the evening. The card/lock system for the room often malfunctioned and wouldn’t let us in.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Much lovelier than the photos, friendly and right in the heart of the city. In-room coffee and free WiFi.
Cons: Room was small, and it's the first time I've seen a full size hotel bed in a long time. Fine for one person, might be challenging for two.
Excellent10.0
Pros: It’s a great place to stay: the location is great, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place; I enjoyed just walking around and taking in the history! I contacted the hotel to inform them I’d be getting into the city earlier than expected, and when I arrived, before noon, my room was ready;, I was able to check in and enjoy San Antonio right away! The view was great; I requested a scenic view, and from my window I could see Alamo Plaza. It was a great stay. I liked this hotel a lot and will be back.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Beautiful hotel with charm and character. So close to everything and convenient for someone on foot/ for public transport/ for tours. Great pool. People working there were very nice - allowed late check out at 1:00pm.
Cons: A bit noisy at night - one night it was loud drunk tourists, once it was random construction at restaurant in mall next door, & once the fire alarms went off. I don't think it's the hotel's fault though.
Excellent8.5
Pros: If you want a little history stay, this place is it. This place is great old school hotel with the oldest bar in town. Has a nice pool and inner garden to chill. Nice helpful staff Rooms were clean and large. The shower could have stronger flow and pool service coming around a bit (there is a phone to place order) but that is not a big deal. Location is perfect - Riverwalk starts right here and Alamo is a cross the street
Cons: Can't open windows in the room (the old bulding) Shower has weak water flow
Good6.3
Pros: The building is interesting
Cons: The rooms and bathrooms, beds are not confortable and showers are bad cold hot cold hot water cept changing also toilet to noisy, also room smelled pretty bad.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The history of the hotel is incredible
Excellent8.8
Pros: Great location. Wonderful customer service. Loved the valet service.
Cons: Needs a little updating. Understand the historical aspect to the hotel, but still. Not sure if the heater wasn't working, but our room was freezing. Attempted to higher the temp, but to no avail. Didn't want to but front desk at 2am.
Excellent9.4
Pros: I loved everything about this hotel. I will stay there again!
Cons: They could use better vending machines, but then again I have never been to a place that has great vending machines.
Excellent10.0
Pros: I had reserved the rooms for adult children, spouses, their adult children who came for a family celebration. The all liked the Menger. They found staff to be helpful. For one of them, the room next to them had a noisy guest. The hotel moved my family members to another room where they had the quiet nights they needed. I was impressed by the ease with which that switch was accomplished. Parking staff was helpful in tending to my car when I came to meet & pick up family who stayed there.
Cons: There were no complaints from anyone
Excellent8.2
Pros: Location is excellent
Cons: Beds are quite narrow. Air conditioning went out one night. Thankfully, it was repaired the next day.
Good7.1
Cons: Ordered breakfast off the restaurant menu. It was high priced and the portion size was small. 1 breakfast taco with sides was $16!
Good6.2
Pros: The Menger is very historic and literally right across the street from the Alamo. There are lots of things to do that are within easy walking distance that give you the San Antonio experience. The historic nature alone is worth the stay.
Cons: We didn't get a room in the old, original, historic section. Our room was outdated and in need of renovation.
Good7.7
Pros: Great location. Very nice place to stay. Our second time and we will be back.
Cons: It was the most uncomfortable hotel bed we've ever slept.
Excellent9.4
Pros: I like the over all feel for the hotel.
Cons: The size of the room. But looked at the other rooms and i guess for a bit more you gst more space.
Located in Medical Center District, this hotel is 1.8 mi (2.9 km) from University of Texas Health and Science Center at San Antonio, and within 9 mi (15 km) of River Walk and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. San Antonio SeaWorld is 14.1 mi (22.7 km) away.

Pros: Not applicable due to covid conditions.
Good7.4
Pros: Breakfast was good, room was nice and big. This was the executive king suite mind you. i'm not sure about how big/small the other regular rooms are. Nice size tv.
Cons: the location is sort of outside the city and we had to drive approx 20 - 30 mins to get there. Coming from california, I am not used to the turnarounds and had to make a couple attempts to get here. The crew started working on pulling the carpet and replacing the carpet right outside our door. Good thing that we were checking out that morning, but we had to leave the hotel with carpet dust in our lungs and banging outside our door. coming to think about it, I guess there is never a good time to work on replacing the carpets in a hotel. Its always busy in a hotel. :)
Okay5.7
Pros: It was a good value and staff was friendly
Cons: We got the handicap room without knowing.
Excellent9.6
Pros: Everything was excellent with the exception of the shower.
Cons: Shower was slippery and tub has slight decline which makes it slippery, when unaware of decline. For children it is dangerous. Needs to have non-slippery strips in tub to prevent falling in shower.
Good7.6
Pros: The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is very clean and we'll kept.
Cons: The parking lot is a nightmare sometimes. The lines in the lot are not painted very well, so you have people parking way to close or way to far away. I actually had an issue with someone parking so close that I could not get into my drivers side which caused a major problem for the rest of my family to be able to get in. I did call the police station and asked what my options were for getting the other vehicle towed, and they said it was up to the hotel since it's private property. Well, I let the staff know and even took them out there to show them. The staff assured me they would get it handled, needless to say it wasn't handle the next morning. I had to have my six year old daughter climb into our vehicle and hand me items to help make room for me so u could squeeze my way in. It was very inconvenient for me and my family.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Friendly staff and clean ro
Good7.1
Pros: Close to the medical center. Starbucks not too far away. Free parking. Free Wifi, which is a sure plus for those of us who never have enough time in the day to finish what we set out to do. Breakfast in the AM
Cons: Musty, wet dog smell that just would not go away. I tried changing the temperature and fan settings, but it wouldn't leave me. Bring some perfume/cologne just in case you leave smelling somewhat musty.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Clean, friendly, great service
Cons: We thought we booked a room with a pullout couch. When we got there, did not have one. Had to book another room. But gentleman was very courteous & helpful. Exchanged a king bed for room with two queens at same rate! No up charge! Very thankful! Would book again. Thought this was close to Alsmodome. Was about 15-20 minutes away.
Excellent8.8
Pros: it wasn't too far from attractions and free breakfast.
Cons: The restroom was clean except the bath tub it had a few hairs that weren't ours. Also the AC wouldn't get cold.
Excellent8.0
Pros: When wife was having surgery had to book a room at the last minute arrived late for check in (after 10) and staff was quick and got me and. young son in a room Quick and easy. Son lived the breakfast that mourning. Place was clean and staff friendly
Okay4.0
Cons: The staff here are very inconsiderate of your needs and are not willing to help when asked. There are other places out there that you can get for a better deal and not be treated with disregard and contempt. I waited 45 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to show up when I called for the shuttle immediately upon arrival. I called the hotel after waiting curbside for 20 minutes. The front desk staff (Steve) then lied to me and told me that there was traffic which was causing the shuttle to be diverted, but when talking with the driver he told me there was no traffic at all. Google maps had also confirmed that earlier.
Excellent9.3
Pros: I liked everything i really enjoyed myself. On a scale from 1 to 10 i would rate it a 9
Cons: The sheets felt a little itchy
Good6.8
Pros: Perfect location for medical appointments....convenient to good restaurants as well as hospitals and doctors offices.
Cons: Breakfast was non impressive with horrible coffee......COFFEE WAS AWFUL
Okay4.0
Pros: Free breakfast tasted ok. There was a good selection of food. Wished it went longer though.. Staff was friendly
Cons: Beds and pillows were horrible. Absolutely the most uncomfortable sleep I’ve ever had. AC didn’t work that good in the room, felt stuffy.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Friendly people, customer service was great, breakfast was excellent. All around hotel was perfect best La Quinta hotel we've stayed so far.

Pros: The staff was amazing.

Cons: Could not think of anything we did not like
Excellent8.8
Pros: This hotel was very nice! Our room was ready when expected and they placed us with a corner room with a great view, for no extra cost. Staff were great and the check in/check out process was so simple! The location could not have been better for the main attractions, such as the Alamo and Riverwalk. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Large room, modern bathroom, friendly staff, great location.
Cons: parking fee
Excellent10.0
Cons: Valet was $35 ...should have been included with hotel
Okay4.8
Pros: The view from the room was fantastic! The location is also great!
Cons: The room felt like it needed to be steam cleaned with bleach... The room appeared to be updated sometime in the early 2000. But has not been maintained well. The bed was as hard as the floor. The shower head was loose and the bathroom smelled of old urine. We ordered Breakfast to our room the first morning. The breakfast was good and when we where ready to leave for the day I called to let the staff know so they could come up and clean our room. We where gone the entire day and come back to the same mess we left that morning... At 250 a night plus 30 a night valet parking This should have never happened. That night I went to drink a water bottle the staff provides for you in the room and there was no seal on the lid on either bottle. The cleaning person didn't even bother to change our water bottles. just filled them up with tap water and called it a day. If you are looking for a clean room with basic hotel services I would look past this place!!
Excellent10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: I think the parking at $30 a night is a little too pricey.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Was impressed by everything... I think I heard some unexplainable noises during the night ... Nice location
Good6.8
Pros: Location, location, and location! Hotel is right across the Alamo with plenty of cheap public parking around the area. Also, the warm chocolate chips cookies from the front desk are a plus.
Cons: Outdated hotel facility and Kayak's incorrectly rated hotel stars do not match the overpriced money for my stay.
Good7.7
Pros: The location was great. Short walk to the convention center, riverwalk, alamo. The staff was also very friendly and nice.
Cons: The building is old and the rooms show it. My first night there was a some fan, or machinery noise that made it impossible to sleep. I was able to switch rooms that night which was nice. One morning I had no hot water. The staff listened, but didn't seem concerned about it. I only had one breakfast at the hotel restaurant, but it was quite underwhelming and definitely not worth paying for.
Good6.3
Pros: Although I was stuck with the smallest room they have it was still cozy and comfortable. Also they were also low staffed but despite that they were still friendly.
Cons: I thought the valet was overpriced and they should at least allow one free parking per reservation
Excellent10.0
Pros: Cookie!!!! Wife liked cookie!!! It was a very nice experience me an my wife enjoyed it greatly
Cons: No microwave in rooms or fridge.
Good7.4
Pros: Great location. Comfortable view.
Cons: Parking was difficult. I wish the stay came with parking instead of having to use valet. I had to pay for valet and to park right outside each day as I have to have quick access to my car. Although it was a nice hotel, I won't be staying here again.

Pros: The location was great, not right in the busiest part of the Riverwalk, but for the price it was a pretty short walk! The pool was small but nice. The rooms seemed fresh and new-ish. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: No free breakfast and the Coke I bought in the lobby cost $3, but for the price I paid for the room that wasn't a HUGE deal. The parking cost extra but that is normal for hotels on the Riverwalk.
Excellent9.7
Pros: This hotel is extremely clean! The rooms have wood like laminate which is so nice compared to gross hotel carpet!! The staff was really friendly. I loved the location on the Riverwalk. I would stay here again!
Excellent9.6
Pros: The room was very comfortable, including the bed and pillows. We asked housekeeping in the hall on our way out for more pillows and not only was the gal we spoke to obliging, but she asked if we wanted soft or firm. The pillows were waiting when we arrived back to the room. We loved that the flooring was not carpet...that gave the feeling of it being even cleaner plus it would make it more hypoallergenic or those with allergy problems. The icing on the cake was the complimentary bottle of champagne they delivered to our room for our anniversary.
Cons: Not a thing!
Excellent9.7
Pros: Room was spacious and view of the riverwalk was great.
Good7.7
Pros: The convenience to the river walk was nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: No shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We also reserved two rooms one with a king bed and another with two double beds however they gave the king bed away to someone else and we ended up with double beds in each.
Okay4.8
Pros: Sleeping in the bed.
Cons: The outrageous parking fee. $62. For a 24 hour period. I didn't need the room serviced but I did put my full trash can just outside the door in the am and it was still there when we checked out at 4:30 pm. The room was fine but not worth $250 a night. I thought it would be something special for that kind of money.
Okay5.1
Pros: The staff initially was friendly and courteous but eventually that was not the case.
Cons: The staff we not able to fix the problems with the rooms. They were rude and annoyed with our multiple calls for assistance just getting into the rooms due to the door not accepting any of the 9 cards that were created for the one room. I would do a trip to a holiday Inn again, just not this location
Excellent10.0
Pros: I liked that it was clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect, allowed us easier access to the museums and the alamo. There staff was very friendly I really enjoyed my stay
Mediocre2.0
Pros: Nothing. Didn't even stay there
Cons: I requested two suites, only got two regular rooms. Charged me for two suites. I cancled the rooms and never got my money back. Horrible experience

Pros: It wasn't as astronomically priced as most hotels that near to the Riverwalk.

Pros: I like the bed very much, it gave me a good sleep
Cons: No drinking water in the room, not at all!
Excellent8.5
Pros: Clean, spacious room with beautiful views. Great service staff. Cool fitness center. Excellent location in downtown San Antonio. Also, the channel line up was the best I've had at a hotel.
Cons: I didn't like having to pay nearly $20 for parking for Each Night.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Very close to the Riverwalk and all its restaurants. Hard to find the actual entrance to the hotel. Room was clean.
Excellent8.0
Pros: the pool, the location is great
Cons: no breakfast included for the price
Excellent9.4
Pros: the location was within walking distance to the Riverwalk locations that we wanted to visit. The hotel bartenders at night were great and served very interesting concoctions. The room was clean and comfortable, the AC was cold, there was enough parking, staff was courteous and helpful. we will stay here again.
Cons: parking per night was expensive, the bar/restaurant had limited hours in the afternoon, towels were small, wanted more drink specials
Excellent8.6
Pros: I really liked my stay at Riverwalk Plaza. Nothing seemed wrong with the hotel or out of the ordinary. Everything was close around downtown of San Antonio. The hotel was a close drive to Fiesta Texas & Schliterbaughn were most of our vacation was.
Cons: The walls are very thin. You can hear everything happening outside your room if the tv is not on.
Excellent9.3
Pros: Close to Riverwalk. Great pool.
Cons: In-room information about room/facilities unclear.
Excellent10.0
Cons: The only thing that was not up to par was the breakfast menu and the sevice that was offered. I believe the resturant was not open for the time posted for breakfast and coffee was the only thing availabe for a timely departure.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The covered parking and location.
Cons: No convenience items were available for purchase. I needed distilled water for my CPAP breathing machine.
Okay4.8
Pros: The location by the riverwalk
Cons: What I didn't like is the gym, the website makes it sound nice. It has a 1 treadmill and weights the treadmill didn't work. The pool is very small the beds are too hard uncomfortable. Website also says fresh bake cookies at check in no cookies and when I requested still didn't have them ready.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
Okay4.8
Cons: The bathroom looked old was dingy I felt like I was going to fall through the tub. The pictures look a lot better than the actual room. There was a strange smell in the room. I requested a river view and I would not classify that room as a river view room. I would not stay at this hotel again
Okay4.6
Pros: The service was good and my reservation was canceled and my money refunded, without fees.
Cons: This hotel is not how it appears online. It is an old property that has had a minimal renovation. The rooms are old and musty. Mattresses are worn and soft. Carpet is old. We walked in the room and immediately knew we couldn't stay 5 nights. We went right back to front desk and told them it was not to our satisfaction and they refunded without question.
Good7.3
Pros: Closeness to the Riverwalk
Cons: House keeping came at 9 am to try to rush us out to prep the room.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Close to Riverwalk.
Good6.0
Pros: It has a great location in downtown San Antonio and it was very quiet and clean.
Cons: The room was a little crowded with furniture but what I really didn't like is that I was looking for a hotel with a parking lot in downtown San Antonio and although this is one it came with the surprise that I would have to pay extra for it which makes no sense, so after all it is a little expensive for what you get.
Excellent10.0
Pros: I love how close it is to the main River area and the cleanliness. Also, I liked the decor.
Cons: I didn't get the pool view as it stated what I booked the room.
Good7.4
Pros: Room was large and accommodation comfortable.close to sightseeing .Staff friendly and listened to suggestions and requests
Cons: housekeeping visited daily but never swept thoroughly in kitchen area.Bed sheets were not shaken or examined before making.Several evenings we found make-up tissues and snak napkins under the covers. There was mold or some dark substance in the tile grout of bathroom. floor was washed but that substance remained
Excellent8.5
Pros: Employees were very nice
Cons: Walls were thin. Hotel want even half full and they put us in a room next to a crying child
Good6.6
Pros: Sstaff was nice.
Cons: Having to pay $14.99 a day for parking in the garage.
Okay4.6
Pros: It's on the river walk
Cons: Walls are really thin you can hear everything don't eat at the restaurant they don't cook the food all the way it was still frozen the pool is only 4ft very small area and parking very tight steep
Okay4.5
Pros: The location near the Riverwalk was great.
Cons: The hotel is renovating which I totally understand. The construction crews worked from 7am until 9pm When you are on vacation you don’t want to be woke up at 7am. We were put in a room directly across from a room that was under construction. Terrible!!! We complained to the front desk who was rude and would NOT give us another room. Now granted their were people checking in hours after us that had nicer rooms. There was was debris and trash all on the carpet in front of our room. We will be in San Antonio next weekend again but WILL NOT be staying there.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Clean, decor it
Cons: No complimentary breakfast?
Excellent9.4
Pros: Excellent location on a quieter section of The Riverwalk allowed quick, easy access to the fun without all the noise keeping me up all night.
Cons: My bed had obviously been slept on by multiple people! One side had an uncomfortable indentation about 2-inches deep which made sleeping in the middle of the bed impossible because I kept rolling to the low side where the mattress was lumpy and broken down. I woke with back pain each morning. However, my traveling companion did not have an uneven mattress and slept like a baby!
Located in the heart of San Antonio, this hotel is within 1 mile (2 km) of Spanish Governor's Palace, Market Square and River Walk. Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and San Antonio Majestic Theater are also within 1 mile (2 km).

Pros: DoubleTree staff and the facilities were well above par for what I expected from a three start hotel.
Cons: Although it didn't affect my stay, I heard some guests question why they had to pay for parking at the hotel's garage.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Very comfortable beds!
Cons: We had to pay $15 for parking, which was fine. But when we returned to our hotel for the night there was no parking available. The garage was full of cars that had no parking tags. We complained and they ended up refunding our $15 fee.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: Would like to see hot tub next to pool. Coffe at breakfast was crazy strong.
Good7.3
Pros: I loved the sleep number beds, shuttle to the river walk and inexpensive parking
Cons: Would have preferred to be right on the River Walk, but it wasnt in a bad location
Excellent8.8
Pros: Overall, very nice, especially liked the overall feeling of the place when you wank in. The mid-to-upscale design is very welcoming; open architecture, mexican paver tiles, nice restaurant/bar area has full-length windows on both sides (one side open to the nice pool/courtyard area in the center of the building), so overall a very open and pleasant feeling. Rooms were good - what you'd expect from a 3-4 star hotel - clean, decent sized (didn't feel cramped like some other places) with fairly spacious bathroom w/ lots of counter space. I enjoyed my stay, and WILL stay there again if ever in the San Antonio area.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Staff
Excellent8.2
Pros: A real good place to stay, friendly staff, and really clean place, room service was great they maintain the room really clean.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. The shuttle service makes it easy to major destinations.
Cons: Location is not the best, but the free shuttle service compensates for location.
Okay5.6
Pros: The bed the size
Cons: $10 for parking in your own parking garage no vallet parking only one person working check in, room had standing handycap shower no tub. Did not like door access to next room.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Comfort! The beds and pillows were heaven
Cons: I was given the wrong room number which another family was in at the time
Excellent8.2
Pros: Every employee that I met was very helpful and friendly. They always said hello and asked if I needed anything. The shuttle service to the area attractions was a nice bonus. (One of the shuttles could stand to have the interior repaired).
Cons: Our room smelled bad. I realized the odor was coming from the bathroom. Everything was clean and well stocked but there was a bad odor. It was wet musty old smell. So maybe just the age of the building-not really sure but I did dread going to the bathroom.
Good7.7
Pros: Room, staff, location and overall layout
Cons: Pool wasn't cleaned yet! And very limited parking for guests.
Good7.1
Cons: It was out of the way across the freeway from downtown. It was lose to the courthouse and fire station, so we knew every time they left for an emergency. The facility was nice, just location wasn't good.
Good6.5
Pros: They allowed us to check in 3 hrs early, and they didn't charge us the early check in fee.
Cons: The Air conditioner was super loud and it made it very hard for me to sleep. Also the beds were double beds not queen, I'm used to sleeping in a king and going to a double made it very hard. I'm not sure why hotels are making there rooms with 2 beds double beds.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The beds were extremely comfortable and the restaurant good.
Mediocre3.1
Pros: The only thing we truly liked was the "contagious, frank and sweet smile of the staff lady who clean room 622 for us. Her attitude, her generosity, but most of all, her professionalism outstanding " We truly believe that the Hilton Corporation should send the managers and front desk personnel to the same training program where the maintenance personnel goes and hopefully they will learn at least a bit of common curtesy.
Cons: The lack of curtesy, honesty and professionalism from the front desk. Management is nonexistent at the hotel there. Incapable of solving problems; what we got was a lot of excuses. We stayed at room 418 on 05-28-2016. People in room 419 had the tv at full volume; after several requests and trips to the front desk, we finally convinced the front desk to move us to a different room; we were moved to room 622 ; the air conditioning system in this room is extremely noisy. Needles to say we were not able to sleep at all that night. We checked out the next day and refund for one night is being processed. We strongly believe that we should get a refund for the night of the 28. We had stayed at the Double Trees in Houston and Dallas, but sadly the one in San Antonio is horrible; even the cookies are not the same quality as the ones in the other hotels. Jose Minas

Pros: Friendly staff. However hotel needs major you upgrading. Elevator made weird noises, carpet old and stained. Bath tub had rust stains. Dust in several places...
Excellent9.1
Pros: Helpful staff. Room looked to be recently renovated and was clean. Everything was in working order. I had packages delivered which front desk handled well. Shuttle was handy and efficient. Steve was the driver and he was helpful and informative.
Cons: Nothing
Mediocre3.4
Cons: The hotel is drastically understaffed. The housekeeper didn't come by our room until after 7p and that included us calling around 3p to make sure they hadn't skipped us. When we got back to our room that evening, we noticed bags of our trash and lots of other rooms trash scattered down the hallways. The wait staff at breakfast were opening talking about how much they hate their jobs, and the front desk was always full of other guests complaining about something that went wrong with their stay.
Good7.1
Pros: Housekeepers did an excellent job. They saw my dirty laundry bahave was a little torn & replaced bag without me asking. Housekeepers were also very courteous. Other front desk clerks made me feel welcomed.
Cons: Had to ask for manager when checking in because front desk guy had difficulty comprehending that we checked in a day late but our room was paid for the entire stay. Front desk guy was going to charge us twice. After checking in, I never received parking permit until day before checking out. I had to explain to a staff member before they were going to remote my car from the parking lot. When I tried returning to the front desk to ask a question, the front desk clerk that checked us in was still upset even after a whole day had passed. Made me feel like I couldn't approach him so I had to wait til I saw manager to ask the question since he was the only front desk clerk working at the time.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Pretty clean and friendly staff
Excellent10.0
Pros: Bed&linens were very clean and comfy. 4 pillows per bed! The staff was friendly from the front desk, to restaurant, to the maintenance guy who brought us pool towels. I was traveling my myself but had a couple friends visit to use the pool and it was great. Lots of families, but quiet rooms can't hear other guests
Cons: Hot tub bubbles were broken.
Mediocre3.6
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Needs updating. Rooms were dirty, stains on carpet, and a had a foul oder.
Good6.0
Pros: Ten minute walk to the river walk. Clean room. Great staff.
Cons: The hallways and elevators need updating and more upkeep.
Good7.4
Cons: I thought the location would have been closer to the river walk
Okay4.8
Pros: The staff was nice except for housekeeping. The location was nice. Parking was good.
Cons: Housekeeping staff were rude. The pool was dirty, the rooms are poorly ventilated. Woke up and everything in the room was damp. The carpets in the room were nasty and stained. The staff started vacuuming the hallways at 9:30 at night while my kids were sleeping. The kiddy pool tile was crumbling.
Excellent9.1
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the room was very nice.
Cons: The bathroom wasn't cleaned well when we got there. Paid extra for the breakfast credit which didn't end up covering the whole cost of breakfast but the food was still great.
Excellent8.2
Pros: The staff was friendly and very helpful
Cons: Internet was difficult to login to and wasn't a very good connection
Good6.0
Pros: Fairly convenient location, within a short walk of market Square, slightly longer walk from Alamo.
Cons: Heavily stained carpet, hair in bathtub, dirty toilet, peeling wallpaper. Needs updating and throrough cleaning.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Got there about 11 am. Had a nice clean room ready for use. Staff was friendly. Had a free shuttle to take use to the river walk so we were save in an area we did not know.
Cons: Not thing. Everything was great
Okay4.0
Pros: The price was right.
Cons: The place was worn and old, the facilities need a considerable upgrade. Also, the site, though near the Riverwalk, isn't as close as it seems from the description, and is in a bit of an industrial neighborhood. The hotel was also understaffed, and there were long wait times for any service at the front desk, especially close to checkout time.
Okay4.0
Pros: Close to downtown
Cons: Internet connection was terrible. Mold coming out of our AC. No ice machine on our floor. Carpets were dirty. Bed was not so comfy.
Excellent8.8
Pros: Great location but due to construction getting to hotel can be tricky. Hotel is newly redesigned it seems and was very welcome and bright. Room was great size and staff was wonderful
Cons: Not sure what happened but when we arrived and decided to use the restroom it seemed that someone has already been there and sprayed the toilet lid and left their pubic hair
Good6.5
Cons: The AC did not work in two rooms. Third time was the charm
Good6.0
Pros: The staff was nice, the shuttle offered by the hotel is handy, and the beds were cofortable.
Cons: The hotel itself seemed outdated. The lobby had a very weird smell and the room was small.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Free parking and shuttle service were very pleasant surprises based on previous stays in San Antonio.
Cons: Loooong walk to our room
Mediocre3.7
Pros: My room was not cleaned and I had to call for toilitries very poor service.
Excellent8.8
Pros: I thought that the facility was clean and comfortable. Staff that we encountered were all pleasant.
Cons: We visited during remodeling so check-in was a bit odd. I also thought the shuttle service was a bit weak. There are so many places to travel in San Antonio that market square seems like an irrelevant spot to travel too being that it is only 2 blocks away.
Excellent8.8
Pros: Restaurant and bar staff very accommodating; generous portions. A bit more attention cleaning and replacing shampoo items; housekeeping may need to look more closely at carpet for daily vacuuming.
Cons: Location. Large pool area. All staff very helpful providing local recommendations
Okay5.1
Pros: Good Location for Fiesta
Cons: Shower curtain smelled, water pressure was too high to face forward in the shower, no microwave or mini fridge, overall very outdated & not worth the price, bed was uncomfortable, A/C wasn't cold enough in the highest setting, toilet seat would not stay up so it got peed on every time my husband used it
Poor0.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Guest washers and dryers need updating and add additional facility!
Excellent10.0
Pros: Clean, friendly. I was happy with our stay.
Cons: There wasn't any continental breakfast available...

Cons: Housekeeping is poor our room was dirty first and second day that was the reason why we checked out early .

Pros: The room was comfortable and it was great for what we paid. It was also not even five blocks from the riverwalk.
Cons: We didnt have towles or shampoo when we got to the room and had to go down and get some. There was a stain of somekind on my sheets. And it was a busy weekend and it took us 45 minutes to check in. Also there is a $10 perking fee PER DAY that I wasnt aware of.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Everything was good, and it was a surprise. I went in thinking it was a real dive, based on the reviews I read after booking my room. I was there for 3 nights and I cant complain about a single thing, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, staff were really friendly, and it looks to be quite a new motel, or has been recently renovated. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!
Cons: Cant say anything bad, it is a 2 star hotel that is more like a 3 star. The rates were not cheap, but seeing as there was a convention in town, it was a whole lot cheaper than nearby hotels. If I had to take a guess, some bad reviewers either got some real bad staff attitude or they expected 4 star service.

Pros: Great location for the money.
Cons: Very dirty floors. Sheets had to be changed they were filthy. Not a good experience. Front staff w were nice but housekeeping was a joke...
Good6.2
Pros: Was convenient to Riverwalk and Alamo. Walking Distance.
Cons: The door was hard to open and close because of the deadbolt. Kept getting stuck. The sink faucet was about to fall off and the hot water barely came out. The sink was free standing and not any room to put anything around it. The shower head was so strong you could hardly stand under it. We were only able to get very few channels on the tv. On the vending machines you could only use a credit or debit card. I thought was inconvenient. We did report this all to the front desk as we left and they said these issues would be fixed. I hope so because it could be a very nice, convenient place to stay.
Mediocre3.1
Pros: Location
Cons: The bed linen was cover in stains, the walls had stains and what looked like mildew. The shower was disgusting plus the water came out with such force it hurt. The floors were filthy so don't walk around barefoot. Hotel said they underwent an upgrade, but definitely doesn't look like it. Free breakfast is a joke. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Mediocre3.1
Pros: Nothing to like here.
Cons: The internet service in my 5th floor room was poor. Then the crickets moved in. I killed three of them and counted 5 more down the hall from me. While I was at the font desk talking about the lack of Wifi, two very angry women guests came down to check out because of all the bugs. The interior is worn and does not present as clean. There was a puddle of water in the middle of the floor. They offered me a room on the second floor where the Wifi was better but even to my male nose, this room smelled stale. I decided I'd seen enough and many thanks to Kayak for getting me out of this mess and into the Best Western Sunrise Suites (1 block away). Same price range and a high quality hotel. BEWARE THE RED ROACH INN!
Excellent9.7
Pros: Overall nice clean hotel for the price

Pros: Hotel needs to be updated. Duvet was heavily stained. A giant cochroach came out from under the dresser. Towels were abrasive and not soft. Inside of desk and drawers were stained.
Cons: Old and worn.

Good7.7
Pros: Walking distance to alamadome for events.
Cons: sorry breakfast. slow maintenance. we had a slow drain in the tub and reported it everyday and it still was not fixed when we left.
Okay5.4
Pros: The coffee was good & it Was convenient to Riverwalk and Alamo. Walking Distance
Cons: The door was hard to open and close because of the deadbolt. Kept getting stuck. Paper thin walls, you have to pay for parking and the safe in your room also Some of the staff was rude.
Mediocre3.7
Cons: Terrible customer service. Priced too high for the quality. Hotel floors were stained and it smelled all over. Pool was mediocre. Adverstised with free parking and breakfast and microwave/fridge in room and you had to get a special package for that. Felt like that should have been clarified. Elevator was broke and toilet in room was broke, too.

Pros: Honestly, I only like the location of this hotel.
Cons: Some of the staff was very rude, especially the manager! I encountered so many problems with my stay, it was awful. I had problems checking in and they charged my card twice! The shower in our room made this really loud noise every time you turned it on, which was super annoying! Also, the smoke alarms kept going off with no explanation, even in the middle of the night! I will never ever stay here again!

Pros: Pet friendly
Cons: Room was not ready at 5pm . They took our name put it on a list and saiid they would call us. After 3 hours no call. If you complain mgr. threatens to cancel your reservation, they also have a black list of customers I witnessed that with one customer as well. They will also charge you a 1.50 fee for a safe in room.
Okay5.7
Pros: Walking distance to downtown (riverwalk/Alamo) but its a sketchy area if you are alone. Many homeless and cat callers around. Rooms were modern and looked just like the pictures. Staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: Sheets were dirty, asked for new ones and we're still dirty. Add on extra charges after initial booking fee, must pay for parking, ADA accessible restroom was constantly wet. Showers must run for ten minutes before water heats up, refrigerator didn't work, roach came out of restroom drain.

Pros: No hot water in bathroom for shower, asked for extra pillow and towel- was told the housekeepers have them and none were around so I couldn't have either. No printer to print off tickets and tour info for trip.

Pros: Near down town and Alamo. Close to conference center (walking distsnce).
Cons: Broken bathroom tub drain. Most of staff unfriendly. Don't expect much... You get what you pay for.
Good7.1
Pros: Great location from the Alamo and the river walk, comfortable and clean room. Okay breakfast for what you are paying for.
Cons: Air conditioner was VERY loud (it sounded like a motorboat engine) and the Wi-Fi was unavailable the first day I was there.
Mediocre2.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Room had big bugs in it. When we informed it to front desk they said they have this problem with all rooms. Front desk didn't have any manager so they refused to cancel or refund. However, booking site for very courteous and helpful to initiate refund process from their side.

Pros: Location
Cons: No blankets on beds, paid parking but not enough parking spots, room service wouldn't leave me alone without signing, toilet leaned into wall, staff didn't bother helping with issues,

Pros: Great location near down town and Alamo
Cons: Loud location and cheep amenities
Mediocre3.4
Pros: Location
Cons: Bad smell, one towel for 2 people, roaches, bed was broken, got cut on my leg

Pros: The only thing good about this place was the breakfast. Lots of choices to choose from. It is very close distance from the River Walk and the Alamo. That was the only to pluses of the whole stay there.
Cons: The house keeping staff was very unprofessional!!!!! I placed the please do not disturbed on the door and they came in anyway. On the second day there we walk into our room to find the lady propped up in our bed on her phone, when we walked in on her she started to laugh at us and continue to talk in Spanish and walked out. They own the parking lot and still charged you $23.00 a day to park in it and long with the room charge. You did not even get a bed spread for the bed only two sheets. We ran out of tissue and never did get any more. I asked the man in house keeping if we could get some and all he said was si si and we never got it. I went to the dollar store and bought our own. I will never stay at this place again.
Okay4.2
Pros: Ok for one night. Beds and flooring were newer no carpet.
Cons: Didn’t explain that parking charge extra $17 a night. $139 total for a one star property too much even for riverwalk. Wyndham bought this so it will probably be torn down and rebuilt as other large hotels in area (La Quinta, Red Roof)
Mediocre3.1
Pros: It was a short walk from the convention center and the Riverwalk.
Cons: The room was filthy and had not been properly cleaned since the last guest who seems to have trimmed their hair over the trash can but missed. I woke up to two full bed bugs in the bed with me. The fan in the bathroom didn't work a double the bathroom was pretty moldy.
Mediocre2.8
Cons: No desk or chair,no welcom info in room, blanked were dirty with stains, chair had stains and was badly worn, water at sink was only a trickle, only stayed one nite rather than 2.
Mediocre2.0
Cons: DO NOT STAY HERE. EVER. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Unbelievable filth. Bugs. Mold. Mildew. Gross beyond words. Sometimes one is willing to stay a few blocks from the convention hotel simply because the price is considerably less. One expects low-end, no-frills, budget accommodations; but one also expects a clean room. One does not get a clean room at the Day's Inn Alamo in San Antonio. This room was absolutely filthy. The carpet was filthy all over the room, and it had YEARS worth of filth collected along every wall and corner. The bathroom was a mildew farm with silverfish crawling around. One of the bedspreads had toothpaste all over it. There were two wads of chewed gum on the floor and an empty chips bag just under the edge of the bed. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The television did not work. Don't even think about giving this place your money. Stay ANYWHERE but here. The health department should shut this place down.
Okay4.2
Pros: The room smelled, no blankets for bed, my bed was broken and leaned to one side so kept rolling off to one side. TV didn't work. Called front desk they came and messed with breaker boxes in room. The breaker box shot out sparks amd popping noises. Then the attendant acting like nothing happened and I was imagining things. If you just need a place to fall. Down after drinking on riverwalk then sure it's adequate but don't expect much more.
Cons: A 5 minute walk from dennys
Okay4.0
Pros: The coffee was good, and the staff was helpful
Cons: Every surface had been repaired, or was in need of repair at some point. The mattress was rubberized and uncomfortable. there was no Privacy option. Someone was sticking food coupons into my door every couple of hours. Road noise from the interstate was bad.
Mediocre3.7
Pros: The location was great and the staff was accommodating.
Cons: I am a frequent traveler and this was about the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We requested to switch rooms because the first restroom was covered in hair. The staff was very nice and gave us a second room, which was not only also covered in someone else's hair but wreaked of cigarettes, despite the non smoking facility. This time he came to the room, agreed and gave us a 3rd room. This one smelled like old take out but I didn't see any hair on the tub, so it appeared to be the best of the 3. We were exhausted, so I didn't notice the 2 used bars of soap and used washcloth until the next morning. Disgusting! The convenience of the location is not at all worth the lack of cleanliness. When I complained in the morning, I was told they're remodelling and they'd give us a discount. I wouldn't have stayed another night if it was free. Unacceptable.
Excellent10.0
Pros: We were able to walk the two blocks to the Alamo and the Rivers all!
Cons: Basic Motel but basic price!
Okay4.0
Pros: The facility was filthy. The staff was not very nice. The rooms were dirty. When asked to refresh something why you were denied. Needless to say we will never stay at this hotel again it's unfortunate because we did have a good time on the Riverwalk but will choose a different Hotel. For the money we paid it was not worth it
Cons: Rims dirty, switched rooms twice comma floors filthy tub backed up ceiling coming down in bathroom tables dirty trash underneath bed the room smelled.
