Pros: Hosts are lovely and very kindly drove us to and from the station and on a Sunday when there are no buses dropped us to the beach and brought us back. It was a very big help as we didn’t have a car. Breakfast was very good and room comfortable.
Cons: The location is tricky without transport.

Pros: Great location looking over Sete, with a beautiful view from the pool Sophie and family were so helpful and welcoming, and it felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel We will definitely be back!

Le Grand Hotel - Sète - Outdoor view
2
8.7 Excellent (744 reviews)
S$ 210+
Overview Reviews
This hotel is set in the heart of Sète, between the Mediterranean and the Thau Lake, and features a contemporary décor and an on-site gourmet restaurant. Guests are invited to relax in the hotel's glass-roofed courtyard. All of the air-conditioned rooms are individually decorated and include parquet flooring. Each room is equipped with a TV, a telephone and a minibar. The hotel's spacious restaurant, Quai 17, proposes Mediterranean-style cuisine, prepared with local products. Breakfast is served every morning at Le Grand Hotel. The Sète Train Station is situated 1.8 km from the hotel and the city of Frontignan is 9 km away. Montpellier is reached by car in 35 minutes.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect, within easy walking distance of the busy parts of town and overlooking the harbour, and yet quite quiet inside. The double/triple glazing in the bedroom meant almost all noise could be shut out at night, and the air-conditioning was very quiet and efficient. There is secure parking (you need to reserve a space) for 12Euros a day - this is well worth it. For breakfast, we 'went local' and chose to go to the large indoor market a couple of blocks away, which was bustling and fun. You can buy anything you want from the stalls (delicious cakes, breads, fruits, shellfish ...) and eat it at the tables provided by the coffee shops. We had breakfast at the hotel on our last day, and it was ok but not brilliant (very little fresh fruit but very nice breads and croissants).
Cons: Breakfast could have offered more fresh fruit - it's not hard to come by in Sete!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel in an excellent location with a view of the quai and close to restaurants. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
Cons: We didnt like walking along a narrow balcony to our room. The access into the garage is pretty tight. We would have liked the hotel to serve dinner before 19.30 hurs.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was excellent for easy access to the old town and the St. Louis festival. However because of the festival the price of the rooms was probably elevated I did not have breakfast as it was easy and less expensive to have coffee/croissant in a nearby cafe
Cons: Air conditioning didn't work too well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, our room. The art, the ambience.
Cons: Not applicable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the photos of the hotel were good as well as the garage facility off the property but very close.
Cons: The weather was off and the city was a little difficult to drive around because of the one way and narrow streets
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Classic hotel
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The staff where very friendly and assisted us with our many last minute bookings. They were very flexible
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was charming with a beautiful view of the canal and Mount St. Clair.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location on the quayside, convenient for town centre. We had a canal side room. I would not like to have been at the rear or side. Quirky decor, mid-century modern elements. Nice courtyard for breakfast. Garage facility useful but there are other paid parking spots around.
Cons: Wifi signal weak in bedrooms, would have been nice to have a bar or a fridge in the room. Quite expensive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, clean bath, great location and beautiful deco
Cons: Breakfast a little expensive

6.7 Good
Pros: Staff was great and very helpful, central location within walking distance to major attractions. Availability of a parking on hotel premise Cool rooftop music lounge with a view overlooking the town
Cons: Street noise/traffic was disturbing, as our suite on the 2nd floor overlooking the square Very bad ventilation in the toilet bathroom, even though we kept the small window open all the time; the smell was nauseating
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room and bathroom, the buffet breakfast was good and had plenty of options. The staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed the walk from the hotel along the seafront to the old port for a fresh fish lunch. The location is ok for a couple of nights but there's not much going on in the immediate vicinity so you'd always need to walk/drive/taxi back to the old town for any vibrancy or head west to the beaches that run towards Cap d'Agde. The roof top bar is nice for a drink before dinner. If you are driving book your parking space with the hotel ahead of time, otherwise the parking lot opposite, or on street parking is expensive.
Cons: We though it was a little over-priced as it was quite a standard chain type hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and roof top bar
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Near beach and only short bus trip to centre of town and train station

Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Central location, decent bathroom.
Cons: Free parking not available - public car park nearby @ nearly €15 per 24 hrs. Room decor - depressingly bleak, bare grey walls with a few pebble tiles stuck to them! Looked like a failed school project. Bed - narrow with a cheap, soft mattress that sank if you got too close to the edge.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff very helpful
Cons: Room green decoration
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice room and nice size with an open shower space into the bed area. Parking less than 2 minutes away, supermarket a few doors down, canal outside the hotel and.the old town on the door step.

7.1 Good
Pros: Convenient location. Reasonable value. Manager was pleasant and helpful
5.4 Okay
Pros: The check in was easy and friendly. The aircon was good. Proximity to the Train station was good. There were a few good Bar/Brasseries close by. Walking to the Centre Ville was easy.
Cons: The room was small, tiny shower and loo area. The balcony was filthy...didn't want to open the doors. Bed uncomfortable and there was ONE pillow....not much attention to the comfort of the guests. Toilet paper on the rack was empty, with only one extra roll. The walls of the room were dirty, as was the carpet. This hotel is way overpriced. 76 euros for one night. I had also emailed them prior to my stay to ask for an extra night. They never responded. Thank goodness I found a better hotel instead!
6.0 Good
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Tired and old fashioned
6.8 Good
Pros: Location, cleanliness, room size, room amenities.
Cons: Master bedroom overlooking the street with no blinds, makes it hard to sleep when the sun rises. There was no wifi available, although free wifi is listed in the property features. You can only communicate with property in French and only through email or phone and response is not prompt so it makes it problematic when you have a question or request about the room.
6.3 Good
Pros: Short walk from train station. Bus or a ten minutes walk to town center. Restaurant/cafes close by. Bathroom & bed looked clean. Mostly quiet, but ...
Cons: Soundproofing? No. No problem as long as your neighbours don't shout in the night. They did. Why can't people behave?? Dirty carpet in room. Only a half wall between room and bathroom, no door. Aircondition worked for a while, then stopped with noise (sounded like it broke down). Wifi worked now and then. Bed a bit hard. Friendly receptionist, but he did not speak much English. I don't like payment in advance. Summary: ok for a night or two if you don't expect too much. The hotel may have better rooms than mine.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good location for us
Cons: Room 22 has musty smell with damp patch by aircon unit. Black mould in the bathroom and squashed mosquitoes on wall. The shower was too small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, comfort and they were able to accommodate our bikes.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: A very conveniently located, simple and functional hotel suitable for exploring Sète on foot and by public transport. Its bright cyan name sign is hard to miss if you arrive late in the evening by rail replacement bus, like we did. Our room, like the rest of the hotel that we saw, was clean and working properly, but it's not a "shiny and new" place. With the window closed, it's reasonably quiet despite the busy road along the canal. The reception is indeed staffed around the clock - they were patient with us trying to practise our french, and nice and helpful those few times we needed advice. Room service worked nicely, changing towels etc. as needed, and even straightening up the bed. Sorry about leaving so abruptly with so few words in the morning at the end, I'm not sure why we did that. (Yes, we had paid in the previous evening, no worries.)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Near the station
Cons: Room a tad on the small side
7.5 Good
Pros: Very helpfull staff, nice view from room.
Cons: Not possible to park car with trailer on the hotel parking, but we were lucky and parked on the street.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean reception and room (except for shower ). Lift. Good view of canal.
Cons: Mold in the shower . No English tv channels.

Pros: Good location for town, good parking and also free parking nearby, pleasant rooms and great breakfast on top floor. Dog friendly (extra).
