Pros (+) Location was fantastic. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Price was half of other hotels, especially in the same location. Clean, comfortable room. Bed was comfortable. Mini fridge worked well. Pastry and coffee from Olsen's bakery included.
Cons (-) Frayed around the edges and needs maintenance, updating and repairs

Pros (+) I brought my family to Solvang for a weekend of fun, The Viking was right at the beginning of Main street which made it perfect to park our car and leave it for the weekend, we were able to walk everywhere with the kids, even enjoy a few cocktails without having to Uber around! We will be staying here again for sure! Great staff, extremely clean rooms, it felt like home!

Pros (+) Was cheap, didn't get bedbugs, staff was super nice.
Cons (-) Mostly everything else: wifi barely worked, stains on everything, all furniture is decrepit, aircon smelled bad, divots in bed where people sleep, towels were rags. There are nicer hotels for around the same price in the area. Try the hamlet inn.

Pros (+) The location is great as the motel is located at one end of downtown Solvang, walking distance to everything.
Cons (-) You can hear the traffic in the early morning if your room is close to the street.
