Pros: The location is fantastic, great views out across the Loch. We enjoyed the fire pit and social area. Everything was spotlessly clean and Pat, our host, is lovely and incredibly informative. We'd come back to see Pat alone, what a treasure.
Cons: 5 bunks in one room is a little bit cramped, if there had been more than 3 adults in there with luggage, we would have struggled with the physical space.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were very helpful. Service is very good. Fortingall House Hotel is beautiful, the location is quiet and peaceful
Cons: The room is NOT superior, just big. The furniture is cheap, the bed is extremely soft, the pillows and duvet are practically non-existent. The bathroom, although large, is just standard. Television far too small for the large room and very poor selection of channels, approximately only a choice of 4/6. Overall I feel the room is NOT value for money, especially at the exorbitant superior room rate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay for New Year, food was outstanding and the hospitality from Mags was second to none , best I’ve had in any hotel. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back .
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess and her team were wonderful - very welcoming. This is a gem of a country hotel in a beautiful Glen. Great food too. The open fires made it really cosy.
Cons: Not much.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location - situated in a very picturesque part of the highlands Loved the open fire places - tea and scones near the fire was a lovely touch. Very handy for dog as door right below bedroom. Helped us a lot. Enjoyed the music and singing in the bar. Very traditional and Scottish! Charming decor. Staff always polite and helpful. Bathrobes were a nice touch
Cons: Our bedroom was small, cramped and poorly lit. Very poor value for money at £160 per night. Difficult to get ready. No plugs near mirrors for hair irons and dryer. Had to boil kettle under the table due to lack of plugs in the right areas. Limited storage space in room. Small wardrobe. Staff quite overbearing with regards to guests attending meals. Woken up by staff (phone calls and door knocking) each day to ask us wherever or not we wanted to attend breakfast. The New Year’s Eve party was not value for money. £80 per ticket was far too much for what was given.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent, of a very high standard. We had an evening meal and breakfast, both were first class. Location is very peaceful. Hotel is old-fashioned, but in the best possible way, it has lots of character. Would definitely return and would recommend this to others

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and staff were really lovely the place was very cosy and had a great gin selection at the bar!
Cons: The light in the hall was left on all night and it was shining under the door so kept us up a bit, next doors TV was on very loud also it was quite noisy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Feels very plush. Lovely warm welcome from the staff. Rooms finished to a high standard and lounge/restaurant spacious and modern, without losing the charm of the period property.
Cons: Room walls very thin. Could hear loud guests until early hours of the morning. Breakfast not as tasty as was expected. Everything seemed to be thoroughly cooked in oil and the eggs Benedict was burnt.
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast and diner were really good. Also good parking for the car which is nice.
Cons: The room (nr. 10) was quite hot and also next to the kitchen extraction fan which was noisy (on till 08.00-20.00h, so off during the night). The bed was quite small. We did not sleep very well. And in the bathroom you could smell the kitchen.

Pros: Staff all very helpful and friendly. Food was fantastic and beautifully presented. Room and public areas spotless and a fabulous shower in the en suite.
Cons: Everything was lovely. Only minor issue was no real reception just check in and out at the bar which always seemed to be staffed so not really a problem.

4.0 Okay
Pros: beer was not too bad and the bar staff were the only saving grace
Cons: mattress very poor, room very hot and uncomfortable, breakfast was greasy and only just warm, parking was 150 metres away in an out of sight, public, limited time car park, Can not recommend this place...
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely accommodation which has clearly been relatively recently refurbished. Very modern and spotlessly clean. Generous sized rooms. Very quiet despite the accommodation being over a pub. Well filled tea tray with lots of drinks choices and plenty of milk.
Cons: Customer service was a little lacking. I didn't feel welcomed or valued as a customer. There is no parking here despite what the listing says. Parking is on the street or in a council car park across the road.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the country cottage was very enjoyable and had a daily visit to the cottage by the ducks which made the entire stay even more memorable. Cottage was perfect and warm with all the facilities including heating, shower, fridge, tv all working absolutely fine.
Cons: Nothing that we didn’t like although a light at the back door of the cottage would be nice in the future as the evenings are so dark it’s hard to see if you step outside.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cottage and scenery was beautiful.
Cons: The food in the terrace was disappointing,we didn't enjoy it at all.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cottage was very good, roomy, cosy, nice kitchen. The shower was very poor, no pressure at all, patio area was littered with cigarette butts, I told the concierge on departure.
Cons: Being told upon arrival that there is an extra daily charge for electricity, really ! I thought this very sneaky way to get more money from the customer, why not just include in the price, it's not advertised that you will pay extra for this. Also they take £100 deposit for any damages, the cottage was not perfect, si I had to photo certain thing in the cottage that was imperfect, ie, bath plastic pannel had damage to it, one of the wall sockets was damaged. Not great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We all loved the open plan layout of our cottages. the pool & facilities Spa treatment, relaxing in the bar area with our family.
Cons: Unfortunately we did have a problem with the sofa bed in cottage 72 & therefore had a problem with sleeping arrangements as when we went to put down the sofa bed we discovered it was badly buckled, we did report it to reception in the morning & they did supply us with 2 make up beds which wasnt ideally suitable for the couple that were sleeping in them, also we had booked a travel cot & when we opened to make up we discovered it was broken & therefore unusable, fortunately a misuderstanding with my booking had occured & both our cottages had travel cots so we just swapped over to the other one but once again was a bit off a hassle changing them over & would have taken more to solve if we hadnt had the other one to fall back on.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast Rooms clean and very modern Location very quiet and lovely walks. Also close to town. Staff lovely and helpful
Cons: Only bistro open if you wanted eat in hotel. Not able to book at time we wanted in the morning as full from 6.30pm. Could have been warned that spa treatment should be booked prior to visit as all filled for the weekend.

Cons: Have been before and the breakfast has been better

7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds and clean rooms
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, price, dog friendly. Clean, plenty of towels, tea/coffee making facilities, warm. Comfortable beds, plenty of wall sockets.
Cons: WiFi was painfully slow, or was intermittent. Didn’t say until we were in our room 2 hours after we had booked in, that it was £10 per night for our dog. Walls are a bit thin heard someone come in about 1 in the morning and could hear their phone conversation.
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice central location, cheap budget rooms.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Value for money
Cons: The stout gentleman wasnt very hospitable. Hotel doors are closed untill 3pm. Couldnt leave via the front door in the morning. We were told sorry cant open these doors. We had to leave via the small bk door with a flight of stairs with our babys pram. It was a very tight squeeze. The man seemed to be doing a lot in the office on the computer rather than attending to us guests.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value and comfortable
Cons: No breakfast (possibly due to off season) or drying room. Breakfast easily available in the village, but not on sundays!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: WiFi is the slowest iv ever come across! 0.2mb when tested. Basically unusable! Back door is sticky and not lit so difficult to enter the code when it’s night time. Room had a noisy blow heater in. Would have been better if it was an electric oil heater and more than likely cheap to run too! No curtains only blinds so again the heat left the room quickly! Someone was smoking in the fire escape or room and when I told the staff, little was done even though the next day when brought up the other member of staff knew who it was! Fire brigade showed up for a “alarm test” that wasn’t advertised so can only assume the alarm went off due to the afore mentioned.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was superb..room was clean enough if a little small
Cons: Having to go in back door using a code with no light to see the numbers..no heating in bathroom..no atmosphere
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were fine. Location is handy, parking.
Cons: Room was very tired, bathroom was cold, shower was weak, dirt fell out of the fan in the shower. The room was just not a nice place to be, bed was hard.
7.5 Good
Pros: Just right for a night away
