Pros: Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our trip was very brief, and we returned to the hotel around 11pm, following the event we had travelled to attend. My daughter had been fighting a cold and wanted some hot tea to soothe her throat. There are no microwaves or coffee makers in the room, and the Blue Pig was closed. However, a woman was doing the bookkeeping and we asked if was possible to get tea. She went to the back and made a cup for my daughter. I offered to pay or bill it to the room, and she said not to worry about it.
Also, the valet service is so convenient and sanity saving, even in the off season.

Pros: The location of this motel was perfect. It was within a few blocks of shops and restaurants, and across the street from a beach entrance (bathrooms/concession). The maid service did a fantastic job, you could tell she spent a while (even creasing towels/tissues) just to make everything pretty for us each day. The office staff was personable and friendly, and even the maintenance guys stopped to help my son when he spilled ice down the stairs. The kitchenette in the living area was clean and well kept, and didn't freak me out about preparing food on it. The carpet in the room was also well maintained. Didn't have that sandy/moist feeling that we have seen on a lot of oceanfront motels.

Pros: The guy at the front desk was absolutely great. I forget his name (sorry), but he was working the weekend of June 14/15. He was friendly and helpful, and made me immediately happy with my choice.
Also, at first I wasn't sure if I would be happy on the first floor, but there was minimal sound from other guests, and the first floor meant not having to drag my luggage up the stairs.
Room included a kitchenette that was an added bonus.

Pros: We have visited Cape May over a dozen times over the last 25 years (we were married there in 1992), and in that time we have stayed in several oceanfront hotels there. The rooms at the Grand were clean and comfortable, the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served good quality food at fairly reasonable prices. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were kept up well, and towels weren't hard to find.

Pros: Our annual trip to the shore includes two related married couples, so we always try to find a place really close to the beach that has a room with two large beds. Last year we stayed at the Tropicana and thought it was okay–not well taken care of but the location was good. This year I took a shot booking a room at the Mango after reading mixed reviews–it appeared to me that the negative reviews were perhaps isolated incidents and need not be taken too seriously. One block farther away from the beach and $20 cheaper, Mango blew Tropicana out of the water! The distance made no difference because it is already on the road we take straight to the boardwalk–short walk away–and for $20 less we got a nicer room (wood flooring), better amenities (flat screen tv and better beds), cleaner facilities, super friendly manager, better parking (they have 2 lots), and perhaps a bit more family friendly, if you're looking for that. We were well pleased with our stay, and give bonus points for being allowed to stay in the side parking lot with our parking tag for the rest of the day we checked out without having to pay for parking anywhere! Super sweet! We booked the room through Kayak, and there were no problems–just showed ID and the card used, signed the receipt, and got the key. We didn't even have to formally check out when we wanted to leave and hit the beach–we just left the key in the mail slot. We'll likely stay here again for future trips to the shore!

Pros: It was an okay place for the weekend. The beds went that comfortable an don't use there towls. There all stained. They keep the cleaning supply an towls in a garidge. It was a good price that why we went there. Don't think I would want to be there when its crowded there. We only had a few rooms with people from what I could tell.
