Boutique meets Country
This charming hotel was situated outside of Charlottesville, super beautiful lawn with a chef’s garden, easy walking trail to the adjacent lake, and a pool with a hot tub. I really enjoyed staying here. The staff was very helpful. I was solo, but this would be ideal for a couple’s get away. They also have a hall, where I think they host weddings. Check it out!!
Wish the free continental breakfast had more options for breakfast. I would have loved to have eggs every morning, but you had to pay for an omelette. Instead they offer pastries and yogurt with fruit which is yummy but again, which there was eggs
Nestled on 100 acres of pristine Virginia countryside, the upscale boutique Clifton hotel is Charlottesville’s premier boutique hotel, restaurant and wedding venue. Travelers come from near and far to experience the hotel’s picturesque 1799 Restaurant, enjoy Charlottesville’s wine and horse country, and tour presidential homes.
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the white-painted mansion is a short distance from the diverse attractions and activities in Charlottesville. The Downtown Mall offers boutique shopping, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and James Madison’s Montpelier and other historic sites are nearby, along with several music venues, art galleries, and wineries.
The Clifton is one of Charlottesville’s most iconic estates with rich interiors, lush grounds, and a modern twist on a historic property. The Clifton offers guests individually decorated rooms and suites that feature elegant décor through antique furnishing, claw-foot tubs, and quaint patios. Guests can choose from the Manor House, Garden Cottages, Livery Stables, and Collina Farmhouse accommodations. The seven newly renovated and luxurious rooms at Manor House offer views of the Monticello Mountain, the beautiful lawn and garden, or waterfalls of the pool. The five Garden Cottages vary in size and actually feel like a private cottage overlooking the 100-acre property. The three charming Livery Stables share a porch facing the lake with a private dock and are surrounding by walking trails.
