1.0 Poor
Pros: Victoria was as helpful is she could be and the bed was comfortable
Cons: For a start it was not a hotel nor was it what anyone would call a 4 star boutique hotel. It was a set of separate rooms with no obvious reception or focus points. Our room was tired and in need of updating - bedding was old and frayed and nothing seemed to be as it appeared to be on the website. There were 2 mismatched coathangers, grass round the private pool was not cut, broken light fittings and a general air of neglect(definitely not 4 star) The staff were as helpful as they could be but could not make up for the lack of facilities and lack of care for guests. We booked for 3 nights and left after 1 ( and if we’d found alternative accommodation that evening we would not have even stayed for one night). Breakfast came to the room on a tray - coffee was lukewarm but less than one cup each but the rancid butter was the final straw really. It was one of 4 places we booked , was the most expensive and by far the most disappointing of all the places we stayed.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was outstanding. But we were very confused why we had no access to a pool and why I had to pay extra for my daughter. I’m not sure if it’s the mixed up between languages (Spanish to English) on their website, or if it was booking.com (who was TERRIBLE to deal with, when trying to fix these issues), but it was not a fun experience.
Cons: No pool. Having to pay extra for my daughter.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and quiet surrounding. Breakfast excellent.
Cons: More care shoukd be taken to cleaning.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really quiet and secluded perfect romantic get away!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff, service, atmosphere, breakfast, all were excellent. Went out of their way to make you well welcome.
Cons: Need to have Google maps to find.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully designed: furnishings and architecture. Modern building, mixed old/contemporary inside.
Cons: Website is not as totally clear as it could be that some rooms/cabins have no pool.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was really good, plenty of options but they delivered cold two times in my three days stay. Fireplace is cool too
Cons: I think the value for money is not ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean , very nice place
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room, the bed, the private garden, and the breakfast.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: As I didn't eat little breakfast the owner invited me to own of her Fantastic green teas! Personal touch and very delicious Upon arrival, they also let me choose between the 2 empty rooms to see which one I preferred. I really appreciated this and I felt welcome and at home. I would return. Definitely a good haven if you're looking to spend a couple of days relaxing and retreating from life!
Cons: hostel is a walk from historical centre, but not so far. if you are aware of it it's no problem.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, helpful owners in a very nice home. Excellent breakfast. Parking can be a little tricky if you have a car. Best to check in first and ask owners for the best place to leave the car.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very accommodating and friendly. They gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The breakfast of coffee, fruit, toast with tomato and baked goods was a perfect way to start a day of hiking and site seeing. We parked for free on the main street along the river. The hostel is in a perfect location to see everything you would want in the old city, as well as a short walk to the restaurants and bars outside the tourist zone. I would 100% recommend staying there if you like a family run bed and breakfast type of accommodation.

S$ 107+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hospederia de Cuenca in Cuenca (Old Town), you'll be steps from Cuenca Cathedral and Iglesia de San Pedro. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was nice and helpful. The location was excellent.
Cons: It was difficult without air conditioning in late July. The wind was blowing from the wrong direction when trying to sleep.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice people Cozy room.
Cons: No lift
6.3 Good
Pros: The large terrace with a magnificent view. Mattresses and pillows were fine. It was very quiet.
Cons: The room (No. 5) was very small, there was one chair for two people and nowhere to place a suitcase. The bathroom was so tiny that a corpulent person would have found it difficult if not impossible to squeeze around the door to get to the toilet. The hydro-massage shower did not work. No shampoo, tissues, etc. and the soap dispenser next to the sink was empty. The lamps gave the barest minimum of light. The room was very cold as the heating didn't work. There should have been coffee-making facilities in the room, those were in the lobby and not even free of charge considering the exorbitant weekend price of the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great room in quiet side of building
Cons: We were not informed about this Fiesta. I had asked for details of parking- to be advised that there may be a problem due to the fiesta was not a suitable answer. I tried telephoning the property twice - no answer. I had to park in Parking Mangana and walk quite a distance with luggage. Surly reception from young girl on Reception. Were then informed that there would be no breakfast served - due to the Fiesta??? Why??? A great room - in a fabulous part if the Old Town - but our booking could have been handled much better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, powerful shower, beautiful view over gorge (which asked for).
Cons: Met on arrival by receptionist 6pm... but no other contact with hotel staff during stay... not a criticism but maynot suit some guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with stunning views
Cons: No parking but there was some nearby at a cost or free further up the hill
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice, stylish room with beautiful view to the canyon. Room was very big, even to big for two people. We had separate room with TV entertainment. In the evening you can enjoy beautiful sunset in quite room. Breakfast for this price (5€) was OK, but nothing special. Ham, cheese, tomatoes. No scrambled eggs or bacon. You can park for free outside the city, but it's only 5-7min walk.
Cons: Nothing to complain.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to old city. Staff pleasant.
Cons: Parking expensive, wasn’t advised of a discount price until we were ready to leave, even though had asked about parking on our arrival. Shower awkward to use. Bed on one side sloped. Tall person wouldn’t be able to sleep on one side as you would bang your head on ceiling getting in and out. Included breakfast packet croissant and cake no jam. Eat out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It suited our requirements, good location and a breakfast we did not expect.
Cons: Nothing not to like
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to get to both the "old" town and the "new" town. Walkable from the bus terminal (and the in-town regional train terminal). Hotel faces a river and a park. Hotel also turned on heating before sleeping time so one feels warm and cozy after coming back from walks in the winder season. Hotel does not provide breakfast officially but does provide packaged simple plain mini pastries and hot coffee, cocoa and tea bags in the morning in a ground floor room.

Cons: No complaints, as such.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice big bathroom, very clean
Cons: Slow WiFi. No flexibility with later checkout (I asked for 2 hours) despite there seemed not many guests in the middle of the week.

Pros: Its is a rural place to stay with quiet and warm spanish hospitality.
Cons: Food market is far away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse is in a small village in a good location for visiting Cuenca. Our upstairs room was clean, looking out onto an interior courtyard. The room was small with a bedroom and bathroom. There is a small cafe where they offered breakfast for a fee. We did not get the breakfast. The staff did not speak English, but tried to be friendly when showing us our room. Good internet. We drove into Old Own Cuenca from here and parked in a parking garage to explore he village. Later we found there is parking at the top by the former castle ruins.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room with great views from the balcony, and really comfortable bed. The spa was good value at 10 euros pp per hour,
Cons: The temperature of the sauna was very hot.
6.3 Good
Pros: Tranquil environment for a good sleep, Cuenca only 10km away and as a motorcyclist I was offered to use owner's garage to park the bike there.
Cons: Just 1 hour (from 9am till10am) for breakfast so if you need to access your email or find other info that is your slot in the reception area. Otherwise wifi zone is availanle in the courtyard but if it is cold you need a warm jacket because it is outside.
7.9 Good
Pros: We liked it’s rural location , the room was lovely and warm when we arrived, on a freezing day-a heater had been put on in our room and it was so cosy and welcoming. The owner was very friendly, happy for us to try our bad Spanish on him! Breakfast basic but ok, plentiful. Free parking. Quiet.
Cons: Our room was very small. There was no facility for tea/coffee- but it was still ok.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: La Melgosa is a tiny town near Cuence, but we had a great time, the hotel was excellent and a great value for the money. Really enjoyed our stay. In fact we originally booked for 2 nights, but stayed for 4..
Cons: We missed a better café near the property. There was a good one, but with limited products. However it was an excellent place to have dinner

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, friendly host! I came too early without informing them and they drove to meet me straight away!
7.1 Good
Pros: The hostel is situated a bit on the outskirts of the city, so finding a parking spot is very easy. The good thing is, Cuenca is a very small city. In about 20 minutes you're in the old part of the city, which is lovely to see.
Cons: When I arrived, the owner of the hostel was not present. Luckily, an inhabitant of the building let me in, so I could get into the hostel with a code. Then I couldn't find the keys, even when the owner explained everything on the phone. In the end, I ended up in another room, but it hadn't been cleaned yet. also, the heating worked sporadically, so sometimes it was very cold in my room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It exceeded my expectations! So clean and beautiful cozy room and big size! The staff was so helpful and kind! So well located in the hearth of cuenca
Cons: Nothing, it’s all good
9.2 Excellent
Cons: No reception on arrival Not enough towels No coffee facilities as promised in the ad.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was big enough for me, the hydro massage shower was quite nice and relaxing after a day of sightseeing under the blazing sun! The lady who checked me in was very friendly, even though she didn't speak English, so we had to communicate in broken English. Very good location, within walking distance to the casco viejo and to the casas colgadas and there are many bars and restaurants nearby.
Cons: I sent an email and a whatsapp message asking about check in and it took them a while to reply. When I left there was no one to check me out, so I had to leave the keys on the door. I guess there were some communication issues that could be improved.

Pros: The breakfast was one of the best we have seen in any hotel anywhere in the world - really superb, with an enormous range of food of excellent quality. It would be difficult to better it.
Cons: We had an unfortunate experience at the only dinner we ate in the hotel dining room. The starters were adequate. My main course - baked cod with a sauce - was lukewarm and uncooked. I sent it back. It came back a few minutes later, hardly improved. After complaining they did not charge for my main course but it really spoiled the evening

Pros: Incredible building created on hillside in centre of the old town. Just fascinating to walk around.
Cons: You need to be happy with lots of steps unless you specify a ground floor room. Note: no parking nearby so cars have to be take elsewhere. Staff not always easy to locate.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Posada is located within the historical centre of the city, and close to Plaza Mayor. The hostel is walking distance to various places of interest. We had a room with a private balcony with wide vistas of the gorge. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was only available from 8 am. We would have preferred an earlier time.

Pros: Location and building architecture
Cons: Bad smell
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The building is beautiful and historic, and full of character and charm. Excellent location, good for exploring the old city. The room was very spacious and clean. The views are spectacular across the gorge from the restaurant, and many of the rooms. The staff are very helpful.
Cons: Our ground floor room (26) had quite an unpleasant smell which we think is because it's located above the kitchen. It was pretty obvious when the smell of cooking became very strong in the room. The bathroom door which sticks badly all the time should be fixed. I know it's a very old building but that's no excuse not to keep up with the maintenance of doors etc.

Cons: Not having buiscuts milk ,and water on our second day corrected for the next day

Pros: Can't fault this hotel - the room was exactly what we requested. Stunning views over the valley and the hotel is set in a very central position near the Plaza Major. Friendly staff and exceptionally clean.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location in this beautiful hilltop village.
Cons: Nothing
6.0 Good
Pros: Good location for sightseeing the old town. The caveat is that need to carry your luggage from wherever you can find parking (the hotel is on a busy street in the old town and you can´t stop outside.
Cons: Got moved on by the police, who were unfortunatey driving right behind me, when I tried to drop off luggage by stopping for a minute outside the hotel. Was told by hotel staff to park in a parking 150 metres up the street that cost 16 euros per night. I discovered later that by driving another 300 metres, up the hill and through the arch, there is free parking. The first room we were given was unusable as the handle came off the door when we tried to open it. The alternative room had a chair with a broken back (this was, admittedly, replaced the following day).
5.0 Okay
Cons: The staff at reception were not friendly especially the older man who was quite miserable and very unfriendly. Don't think he is suited for the hospitality industry, he would be better employed in the kitchen
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked all, specially the bridge to see the famous hanging houses. Good location to visit the city center.
Cons: Anything

Pros: Such a wonderful space to feel comfortable in!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Right in the centre of old town, beautiful high ceilinged stone floor rooms
Cons: Lousy breakfast, sad cold eggs, fresh fruit was dry melon, cheeses and ham left to dry in cupboard
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and warm. Spoiled by cobwebs in the vaulted ceiling.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all, this hotel is on a narrow and busy main road, and so is very noisy. We had requested a high room, but on arrival we were given a dark room on the first floor, directly above the reception, and at about the height of the roofs of the buses which pass regularly. However the very pleasant receptionist (the guy with a beard, sorry don't remember his name), changed us to a beautiful suite on the top floor. It was still noisy from the traffic, but a very nice room. The hotel is very clean, and the cafe / bar has wonderful views of the parador and great coffee. All the staff were very professional and a pleasure to deal with.
Cons: The noise from the traffic on the street. We were here in a quiet time in December, so I can't imagine what it would be like in busier and warmer times. And take care when stepping out of the hotel. As we were stepping onto the pavement, a bus roared up the hill, using about 10 centimetres of the pavement, so probably less than a metre from the doorstep of the hotel. Highly dangerous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect
