10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff and cozy room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This traditional guesthouse is situated in Fushiyoda, a quaint town at the foot of Mt.Fuji. The Main Street is lined with shops and a few restaurants and it is a few minutes walk to the train station. Everything is impeccable, minimal and just beautiful. The futon beds are comfortable and the common bathrooms are clean. The granola breakfast is very delicious served with soy milk. The receptionist is very helpful and accommodating.
Cons: No complaints

Pros: The atmosphere of the hostel was gorgeous and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Amazing location.
Cons: The air con wasn’t so great but we came at a particular hot September.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: To far from station and convenience store
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was absolutely amazing! Spotless clean and beautiful. We loved the tatami flooring and the futon beds! Granola breakfast was lovely, we went for the matcha one. The hostel provides towels and toiletries. After previously exploring Tokyo for a few days, this place was perfect to relax. I wish we could stay longer than just one night! Amazing view of Mount Fuji just outside the hostel, from the street, as well a short walk to the Chureito Pagoda (around 15mins). We were very lucky with the weather and got a beautiful view of the mountain at the evening and in the morning too :) Hostel staff is amazing! The lady that checked us in was very helpful and we got a map with recommendations of shopping and restaurants. We went to Izumiya restaurant for dinner, it was delicious, such a cosy place! The bakery is really lovely too and we also visited the tea shop. Fujiyoshida is a small place and lovely to explore all the little streets, if you’re staying here longer, it might be worth taking a bike trip to Lake Kawaguchiko too. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, it was so, so nice! Thank you!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful, peaceful little town very close to a great viewpoint of Mt Fuji! (pagoda) we were even allowed to check in early so we could put our bags away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was an extremely clean hostel and had everything you need! It has this nice and neat Japanese design feeling and the staff was very considerate and helpful. Strongly recommend if you go to Fujiyama area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful host! Cozy hostel, comfortable, clean and neat.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hostel just a short walk from the station. We had a 3-bed room which was small but nice an clean right across from the wash basins. The shared wash basins, showers and bathrooms were also spotless, and there was soap, shampoo, cotton buds, body lotion and even a little sewing kit for everyone to use. The communal kitchen is tiny, but good to fix a quick meal or snack in (there are condiments, oil and spices you can use), the freshly baked bread and boiled eggs were a nice bonus, the coffee that came out of the machine was good. We rented bikes for just 500 yen each to cycle to the lake, with a stop at FujiQ Highland. If I ever were to go back to Japan, I would stay here again.
Cons: Nothing, it was all good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Adorable place that's only a few minutes walk from the station. Well placed for Fujiyoshida. Lovely smell of fresh bread when you walk in the door. Beautifully decorated too!

7.1 Good
Pros: Good!
Cons: Not able to see mount Fuji
7.1 Good
Pros: The host picked us up at the nearby station just like what was advertised. The onsen is relative good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's like living in paradise owned by a lovely couple. Very helpful and very caring. The husband pick us and drop us in the station even at night. The place has a character and is clean and quite. So beautiful too!!! Certainly would stay again and looking forward to it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners are very nice and helpful
Cons: A bit far from center, better suited for travellers with car
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The little hotel is tucked away in a very quiet neighborhood towards the edge of Fujiyoshida. It's peaceful and very cute, with amazing mountain views all around. We were able to park and check in with no problem, and our host gave us a map pointing out local restaurants within walking distance since we checked in around dinner time. They asked about our plans in Fujiyoshida and if we needed them to take us to the local train station in the morning (free of charge!). They will also explain how to lay out and use futons if you have never used them before. Breakfast is really cute, very simple onigiri with miso soup and a small salad, with lots of green tea. We were also given a map of the local area and because we visited during Fujiyoshida's famous annual fire festival, he showed us all the streets that would be closed, suggested alternative driving routes, showed us parking spots, and strongly suggested we visit the festival (which I suggest to you too)! The bathing rooms in the onsen are small and cozy. There are two which are both unisex so you can use either, but our group was asked to use the bathroom all at once, so if you are not comfortable with group showers, be aware (or wait til late at night). The hot spring was very warm but not uncomfortable and the perfect way to wind down after riding roller coasters or hiking all day.
Cons: Parking lot is very cute but a little cramped so make sure to let them know if you plan to drive!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place and wonderful hosts!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were amazing helping us by driving us to and from the nearest stations as well as helping us plan our future trip after leaving. The facilities and room were also nice with breakfast included.

This hotel has 1583 square feet (142 square meters) of space consisting of a conference center and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were helpful although not many spoke good English
Cons: I paid a fortune for the room and yet they felt they needed to charge me 420 yen for a bucket of ice. I’ve travelled the whole world and never once have I had to pay for ice. Outrageous given their already huge prices.
7.4 Good
Pros: The Onsen (Sauna) on the property was quite nice. Part of amusement park. If you take the train, you have to walk through the park, there is no easy way to walk. We tried.
Cons: English, someone should speak English if they want tourists.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location if you are planning to visit the theme park. You can buy the tickets at the reception with a discounted price and enter the park 15min earlier (recommend to do research/planning how to manage the queues and long waiting time inside the park before you go). There is also a bus station right in front of the hotel which was perfect to go to Tokyo station from there. The onsen is good. I didn't try the breakfast.
Cons: Overall the staff is good. I was on the lift a hotel staff came in and we chatted about the direction to the nearby museum (free access for guests). I asked him about what is the best way to go down to the city? Bus or train? At the same time other guests entered the lift and he kind of ignored me. I had to insist on the question and repeated the question a second time. Surprisingly he said better to take a taxi!!!! He had American flag pin and spoke perfect English. His name is Watanabe, I don't recall the first initial. Sometime later I found out the hotel has free shuttle that goes all way down to the city... I don't understand such behavior it was quite unpleasant experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view from our window.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean comfortable rooms with good views. Good food in the Japanese restaurant.
Cons: Paying the expensive room rates and having to pay for breakfast. And apart from looking at Mt Fuji and Fuji Q Highland there is not much to do in this town. The Italian restaurant food was dreadful, I would stick to Japanese food and leave the Italian cooking to Italian Chief's.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, good space and good facilities on site. The free shuttle bus was brilliant. The onsen was good and lovely.
Cons: It was a bit expensive compared to other hotels in Japan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy and well-appointed room and bathroom. Good location right next to the theme park for highway buses and there is a free hotel shuttle bus to town and stations. More luxurious than I was expecting and guests can get into the theme park before the public.
Cons: There wasn’t a bar in the hotel, although you could buy drinks in the shop until 9pm, and we didn’t try the breakfast buffet as it was very expensive.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect to see Mt. Fuji. Free shuttle to Kawaguchiko station and etc. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: None
4.2 Okay
Pros: The room was clean and the view we finally got was nice.
Cons: We took a train in to the hotel, the only train that goes to the hotel. The train arrived at 9:46pm. The last scheduled shuttle bus from the train to the hotel was scheduled at 9:45pm. We called to ask if they would wait a couple minutes for us and they would not accommodate our request so we had to take a taxi. We booked a room with a view and when we got there they said the type of room we booked doesn’t have a view. They made us pay almost $100 more for a room with a view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb on-site onsen facilities are included with the stay, which was fantastic. There was also a great selection of food and drink if you didn't want to leave the resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, stunning fuji view, bus station right next to the hotel, special rate and 15 mins earlier time for hotel residents in fuji-q theme park
Cons: No double beds in higher floor executive rooms

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing! It is very easy to find and the nicest lady will check you in. She doesn't speak any English, but it doesn't matter at all. Google translate does a good job. The rooms are big and you can even see mount Fuji:)
Cons: There is only one sink in the kitchen and if it is your first time in japan there is no English guide for the air conditioner.
6.7 Good
Pros: The lady who ran the accomodation was lovely, and it was really close to the station!
Cons: Unfortunately there were just no comforts to the accomodation, and we had to carry our suitcases which were very heavy up and down stairs. Thankfully we were only staying for one night, so the no towels, tea, coffee etc wasn’t TOO much of an issue.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Expedia was very helpful. I would have been screwed without expedia.
Cons: Making the effort of going elsewhere
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The kindness of the lady who owns the guest house. For the price it's so worth it! 1 min away from fujisan station and very convenient to visit the area. We had a very big room with private bathroom.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely lady and great location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The lady who runs this stay is the sweetest. We would definitely recommend popping over to her breakfast shop in the morning for a very personal and welcoming breakfast. Although we spoke the minimum amount of each others' language, she made a great effort to translate for us and make us feel welcome. We even got our own personal presentation of Mt Fuji from her description with a calendar. This hostel owner herself was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: fantastic location, lovely granny downstairs in coffe shops dealing with rooms, doesn't speak english but operate translator like young gamer, we would be back again
Cons: ok
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, near Bus station, easy access
Cons: None
7.5 Good
Pros: Air con. Availability and cheerfulness of check in. Access to public transport
Cons: Timed lights in the common areas. Outside toilet for the downstairs room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was the traditional tatami style, though its abit squeezy for 6 people. Its really near to station!
Cons: Theres only 1 toilet and the shower area is a little exposed (shadow can be seen from the corridor outside). Hope the owner could cover the window with something opaque.
7.9 Good
Pros: located within walking distance to the main bus station the breakfast was delicious, the host was very nice, an excellent Sushi place just next door,
Cons: the beds are small, the toilet is private but located outside, the room
Nakano - Fujiyoshida - Bedroom

S$ 148+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Nakano in Fujiyoshida, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Fuji-Q Highland and Lake Kawaguchi. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: This hotel is super close to Fuji-Q Highland, you can walk there in less than 30 minutes. The staff is nice and the room is very spacious and clean.
Cons: Japanese style toilet is a nightmare! If you’re not used to using one, it’s very difficult and not enjoyable. You have to pay in cash, I didn’t have enough so I had to walk to 7-eleven which was 10 minutes away. You can also hear everything from Fuji-Q Highland such as announcements and fireworks from the room (but that is because it’s so close). If there is someone above your room walking around, it sounds like the house is falling down. The bed (especially the pillow) is very uncomfortable if you’re not used to sleeping in a Japanese style floor bed. Consider bringing your own pillow. They also make you bring your own towel. Overall, if you want somewhere super close to Fuji-Q Highland and want to experience true Japanese style hotel, it’s okay. But you’ve been warned.
7.9 Good
Pros: The owners and staff were so lovely. Really going out of their way for us.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I usually don’t do the review, but in this case I really would like to say thank you for the owner and his nephew! The place is very near for Fuji-Q Park. It’s old, I think the hotel is a family heritage, this is just a detail. The staff was very kind and helpful, the owner provided a free ride to Fuji bus station where I was able to take the bus to Fuji mountain! I felt like an extension of my home! The owner’s nephew provided a fully detailed information about the best places to go, saving my time!
Cons: The property it’s a quite a bit old but it’s good!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner is such a lovely man. We came back one day from being up a very cold Mt Fuji and he had turned the heating on for when we got back and left a flask of hot water.
Cons: Nothing to do with the place itself but there was nothing open in a 4k radius. Don't know whether it was time of year but it was hard to find places open to eat at night. There is a big supermarket though if you want to eat in.

6.7 Good
Pros: They have a hot spring spa and sauna, which I enjoyed a lot.
Cons: It’s a bit far from the station by walking so we had to take a taxi to get around.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The onsen was good.
Cons: Room decor is a little dated and its a place that accepts large coach loads of people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms with the views of mt fuji. We also experienced the onsen at the hotel which is free for guests and 500 yen for non guests. Very nice hotel with veryyy good facilities
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here after climbing Mount Fuji. Perfect for what we needed.
7.9 Good
Pros: Our room faced Mt. Fuji according to the direction on the map but we were unable to see it and be sure because we got cloudy days. If it had been a clear sky I’m almost certain we would have been able to see it. We had short interactions with the staff but the little we had was enough to see they were attentive.
Cons: Beds were a bit too hard. We booked a smoking room and compared to other hotels we stayed at that also had a smoking room it smelled a bit too much of tobacco, perhaps because they don’t use as much air freshener as the other (if at all). Some of the plugs in the room didn’t work. It’s a bit outdated for the price but I guess they charge that much considering the location (direct view to the mountain on a clear say)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I like public bath and there is Daiso shop beside the hotel that you can shop. There are many restaurants near the hotel and there is Don Quijote shop near the hotel also.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They upgraded our room to Fuji mountain- view room! The receptionist are very helpful and speak in simple English. The breakfast are authentic Japanese breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great resort, especially we like the the hot springs. The breakfast was not so great though. Probably, we were expecting different.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was great in every way
Cons: Honestly wasn't much happening in the area to be honest.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 1. Onsen is top notch 2. Comfortable and quite spacy room 3. Staff is friendly
Cons: far from station and there's no public transportation to there

7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet.. very peaceful place.
Cons: I've booked for this room 2-3 days before my arrival.. and to be able to eat in the hotel restaurant, you need to book your room + dinner at least 1 week ago.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were excellent, courteous and always had a smile. No request was any trouble. The food was excellent along with the service, especially the young woman who looked after us during our meals. The view of Mt.Fuji outside our room was wonderful.
Cons: The hotel is showing its age with threadbare carpet in the hallway and many mark's, stains and scrapes on walls. I think it markets itself as a prestige hotel but this is not reflected in the decor.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view of Mt. Fuji
Cons: Hotel is very outdated
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel staff provided great hospitality. Upon arrival, there was a staff helping us to carry all the baggages to our room. There was one night we're coming back late which was over the dinner time, the staff were kind enough to serve us the dinner after 8.30p.m. There was also one morning which we not manage to go for breakfast before 9:00a.m. (breakfast closure time). There was one staff called to our room and asked us to come as soon as possible and waited us to finish our breakfast. We met one staff who able to speak English quite fluent here. He was an exchange student to Barcelona last time. He provided great service. Overall, the food served here was satisfactory, especially the Japanese traditional type of food. Sashimi considered fresh and the desserts were nice.
Cons: We would like to try Ryokan and Onsen, also to view the Mt. Fuji, that's why we chosen hotel nearby Mt. Fuji. The price we paid for was not the most expensive among hotels nearby but not cheap too. We're a little bit disssapointed that we're unable to view Mt. Fuji from this hotel. Cleanliness of this hotel was our greatest concern. We found out that the toilet of our Ryoken was with urine smell and we requested an immediate cleaning. However, suspected the urine stain was on the toilet wall because the staff cleaned the toilet bowl and did spraying but the smell was still there. We went to have a look on their kids playground and public bathrooms. Seriously the condition was not satisfactory. We saw some mold and stain on the ceiling/ wall. We don't feel comfortable trying their public bathrooms. We felt that the condition of this hotel requires an upgrage/ renovation.
7.9 Good
Pros: Can see Mt. Fuji from the lobby. Bed was comfortable, but room was quite small. Hot Springs was available - Japanese style (they did not say that on the website.. Just remember no swimsuits!)
Cons: Dinner was table service- Japanese Style. We didn't get to choose what we wanted, and they did not give us a chance to say if we are allergic to any food. The presentation was beautiful, dont get me wrong, and pretty much everything had fish or shrimp. (Im allergic to sea food) So my dinner was given to my family, and I ended up eating the Kids food. If you have someone who has allergies, please make sure you bring them food. The location is quite far and no nearby marts.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel staff were kind and polite. The bellboy explained patiently the room facilities and how to operate. We have 4 comfortable beds although we were just 2 of us and our baby. The breakfast included was also magnificent with a very affordable price for a night stay. Hot bath on the 2nd floor was free and is one of the complements of the hotel. The super plus point here is that our room was facing Mt.Fuji. It is seen from our window like a painting of it. So happy and satisfied.
Cons: The water in the toiler tank was leaking creating some noise and the flush didn't work well since the water was continuously running.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room view with Mount Fuji is very beautiful. Delicious dinner. Staff is very nice and helpful. Comfortable bed and large room.
Cons: Locate far away from the station. You have to ask them to pick you up or take a taxi. The facilities are a little bit old.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its very comfortable the ataff is very kind And approachable.and good location its very close to fujiq highland.
Cons: No nothing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Large room, comfortable beds and the free shuttle. Dinner was good. Great views of Mt Fuji from hotel room. Staff were very helpful but little English is spoken.
Cons: A little dated. Literally no one there, empty hotel. Food was good, but no menu or options available. Location is 10 min shuttle from Fujisan station, so no where near any convenience stores or restaurants or anything.
