Pros: Very helpful staff to arrange onward travel. Idli especially moist
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and Comfortable rooms, courteous service and great location.
Cons: Didn't get a Royal palace stay feel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing us late checkout and a couple of extra perks. The grounds and building very grand and impressive. It's the only hotel in India I've found that has a bath!
Cons: It was very expensive to stay here and lots of things were not included in the price (eg: wifi, breakfast). Their prices were very steep for these things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting next to Jai Vila’s Palace. The grounds are really lovely. The hotel staff were exceptional. Extremely helpful and very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. The rooms were beautifully decorated and so comfortable. A must whilst staying there is a visit to the Palace Museum next to the hotel. Also the fort and in the evening the sound and light show. Gwalior has so much to offer. The Usha Kiran is the place to stay as you will be very well taken care of.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Set in a restored 17th century palace, this hotel has been very tastefully furnished. The rooms are spacious, and clean with soft and comfortable beds and sheets. Complementary tea and snacks are provided in the evening on the outdoor lawns. There is a lavish dinner spread for Rs. 700 which is well worth the price for the quality of the food. The hotel is located close to many of the attractions including Gwalior Fort and Jai Vilas Palace.
7.9 Good
Pros: Architecture, staff and of course, food. Chef is experimental and courteous.
Cons: Entrance till the main complex is pretty raw or rather unimpressive. Need a lot of work.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: No hot water in the bathroom. For dinner, we asked whether they had a tandoor. They said yes and we ordered two dishes that are delicious when prepared in the tandoor (paneer tikka and naan). When they brought our meal, they told us that the paneer tikka was cooked in the tandoor ( this was obviously false) and simultaneously they told us that the tandoor was too cold for cooking naans and they replaced the naans by chapattis.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: a very elegant staying, without excess! Immerse in a peaceful beautiful garden this hotel has a touch of an ancient elegance but with all the modern comforts. Restaurant is also good, and I really loved the afternoon tea served in the garden. I just would have been there for more nights...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The temples in the courtyard of the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, the best of any staff during our stay in India. The Temples in the hotel grounds are immaculate and rival public tourist monuments. The room was fantastic and very cosy. Hard to leave a review that does justice as everything was incredible. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing. Superb hotel and staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were comfortable though designed in old style. Staff were helpful and courteous. The surroundings of the property requires some pruning as currently it has been left wild and unkempt.
Cons: The car arranged by the property arrived late to take us to the station and we almost missed our train. Though it is the fault of the transport company and the staff cannot be blamed

8.0 Excellent
Cons: 1. Billing could have been better 2. Poor co-ordination between various services 3. Had to pay the differential in the morning despite settling the bill at night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant Staff. Accommodated my early check in request. Good Facilities at the hotel too......availability of a spa on site was a brilliant add on. Good Experience
Cons: I guess the prices were high due to wedding season. Had a nasty time sleeping due to unruly wedding group who just kept screaming on the floor up to 4:30 in the morning and wouldn't listen to anyone
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Professionalsm in service, excellent quality of food and immaculate maintenance.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: At the restaurant we enjoyed a delicious vegetarian meal. There was a bunch of kids of varying ages from 8 to 18 -- a young cricket team. They were a delightful lot, and although that made the ambience noisy, it made for a pleasant distraction from our woes of the hotel itself. If you're visiting Gwalior and wish to eat somewhere this has a good restaurant. I think they also had a buffet. I remember that because the kids were happily binging on desserts. We ordered a la carte. We needed a car to get to Khajuraho. They assigned a decent driver with the car. Overall, within their imitations the staff was helpful.
Cons: We were there at this hotel in the third week of October 2019 for one night. The room we were assigned first -- overlooking the 'fort'? When I looked out through the window, saw garbage, and worse - a man defecating. We were assigned another room when we expressed our disgust. This room directly overlooked the street, the entrance to a park. It is noisy, but certainly more tolerable than 'the fort side'. The hotel has no outdoor space. Perhaps it is geared towards business travelers (men) only. Thanks to the staff for co-operating, and for accommodating our request to change the room. The bathroom had screen curtains with mold on it. We did not even take a shower there thst night nor the next morning, but were just eager to leave as quickly as possible. The combination of disinfectants they use, along with air freshners they spray, made it difficult to breathe. Is it because of poor air conditioning in the hallways, I wonder. Food smells mingle making it worse. We just tossed through the night awaiting morning, anxious to leave. The mosquitoes, even while I was seated in their lobby, were real blood suckers. Gosh! I don't know if this is the case across all hotels in Gwalior. At the suggestion from friends who were to join us, but could not at the last minute, we had booked at the Clarks chain in Gwalior, Khajuraho and Lucknow; but after this experience we quickly changed to The Lalit in Khajuraho for the next three days. That was lovely. We also switched to the Hilton Garden Inn in Gomti Nagar for one night in Lucknow, which also, sadly, was NOT a great experience. The same issue of poor air quality through the hotel. Finally what else we did not like -- it was their bar. Quite a seedy ambience, and the music is loud. I don't know if all of the above is just us. Frankly, I had not read any reviews before making our reservations. I still have not. We just went with what our friends had pulled up for our trip together.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Decent size room.
Cons: 1. No kettle or tea coffee in the room. 2. There should be some incline or some mat by the door else the water from the bathroom will go everywhere. That's what happened with me. Water everywhere 3. I was told during booking that there will be welcome drinks and if I pay 700 odd extra I can avail dinner at hotel. When called reception for same they said they don't offer any such thing. Every thing is a la cart and will be charged to the room 4. They have banquets and tend to have gatherings and diner etc. They should have so noise cancelling system in place else it gets too low and noisy. My two days stay, there was a large gathering almost every time. 5. The hotel arranged for a cab for sight seeing at 1500 for 80 kms/ 8 hours. Turns out the sightseeing the entire round trip is like 30 odd kms only and covers all tourist spot. I was back by 4 hours and I was charged the complete thing. That's my miss I guess. The next day I did the entire trip again on my own and it costed me 400 bucks. Autos are available very easily and are damn cheap
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The photos aren’t the reality. Dirty and moldy walls. Disappointing
