Pros: This hotel was incredible- the best of all the places we stayed in Europe! The owners could not have been more helpful- always there to help plan hikes, outings, and dining experiences with excellent guidance. Buy your lift tickets through them. The room was spacious and well-appointed with modern, clean bathroom. Location is walkable to everything in town, but on the edge of everything for stunning views and a quiet, peaceful night’s sleep. Breakfast was so delicious with fresh-baked bread, fruits, local cheeses and jams, the perfect, hearty way to start a day of adventuring. We want to go back and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Grindelwald- nothing can match this hotel’s hospitality!

Cons: Shared/common toilet and shower was OK. No toiletries in the men's shower room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolute breathtaking, great for end of hiking day from schynige platte. and once all the tourists are gone, it makes perfect photos. The dinner was fair, and the breakfast was very simple (bread, yogurt, cereals, ham and cheese) but ok. The staff lady was super nice and friendly. The shared bathrooms and showers are the cleanest I've seen
Cons: The bunk beds are standardly small, and only one electricity socket (the room actually had 2 sockets, but the one that the heater was connected to wasn't working), for a room of six people. I suggest bringing a power socket splitter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location in the alps

Cons: Nothing really. Its hard to find any faults to the room and hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are very clean and comfortable, but the gem of this hotel is it’s staff! I haven’t seen so friendly people before, also huge thanks to Urs Hauser, the hotel owner, he worries about the guests’ stay literally every day and asks them how their trip is going. Highly recommend this hotel to stay in if you plan a trip to Grindelwald!
Cons: There weren’t any cons during our stay
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice size room, close to the train station but not in the middle of all the ski lodges/hotels. Staff are friendly and always willing to help.
Cons: Price of food in the restuarant is high, but that is normal for Switzerland and in a nice hotel.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The beds were not super comfy but the view and the size of our room made up for it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was extremely desirable - close to absolutely everything and yet far enough away to experience the tranquility & awe one would expect of the Swiss Alps. Every single staff member we encountered was extremely helpful and friendly - lots of smiles and it was obvious they genuinely cared (or appeared too -haha). The view was...beyond what we knew to exist. We loved the gorgeous flowers on the terraces and the traditional heart-shaped pillows on the beds. And we especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast!!!!
Cons: Wish the restaurant and bar were open year-round (obviously not practical in off-season, as it isn’t fiscally advantageous). However, if the entire hotel is booked in the shoulder season, it seems like it would be a good idea! Maybe even just the bar?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lots of thanks to Margaret on the reception. She helped a lot explaining what is located around, what could be visited and what could like kids. We were very appreciated that she tried to help us with our needs even after a work time. Near reception is located kids' corner with lots of toys. At breakfast, we enjoyed cheeses and bread.
Cons: Breakfast looked poor for us, while there were no food for kids.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute and cosy alpine room. Amazing view of the mountains from the balcony. Shower and wifi were strong. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Shuttle service to/from the station available upon request.
Cons: Pillows were too soft for us but that’s a personal preference.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am rating our stay 5 star! The hotel, the staff and the experience were amazing! Our room was big and clean plus we have a very nice balcony view which we enjoyed so much. Breakfast was really nice. Thank you to Juni in the reception for being so helpful in guiding and pulling our luggage in the middle of the thick snow. Also to the morning lady in the reception who was so helpful and approachable. (Apologies I forgot her name). Will never forget this hotel and hopefully can come back again.
Cons: Nothing! We love everything and I would probably rate them not just a 3 star but a 4 star
6.0 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the shower was great !
Cons: I understand it is an old building which had an odd smell but once the windows were open it helped a lot.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just everything was great. Staff very kind and helpfulll. The food was excellent. Will be happy to come back
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel just 1 minute walk from one of the main cable cars (to First peak), and 3 mins walk from the centre of town, though with several bars and shops right outside anyway. Staff were super friendly, polite and helpful. The half-board food was high quality Swiss cuisine - my wife liked it (and when it comes to food she can be fussy!). For a hotel marked as 3-star this was a fantastic experience and would definitely go back and stay there again.
Cons: The main downside is mainly the high room rate, but that's what you get for staying in a nice hotel in Grindelwald! A few minor quibbles, but not really problems - slightly old-fashioned decor in the rooms (but all clean and working fine); and Bar didn't stay open particularly late.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good
Cons: The price was higher than I had hoped
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The team was amazing. We felt very welcome. Even though our dog was giving some trouble while we were skiing everyone was very kind and patient.

Pros: The location was great, close to both local and regional trains (Grindelwald). The breakfast was enough to get you through until lunch- and a lovely mint on your pillow.
Cons: The pillow was a little insufficient; ask for a second.

Pros: Great location, close to the railway station, nice quiet room of a good size at the back of the hotel with mountain view, excellent wifi, strong water pressure in the shower, very good breakfast with lots of choice, very helpful and friendly owners and staff.
Cons: Everything was very good, the only downside was the 1970s decor!

Pros: It was close to the train station so great for venturing further, but close enough to walk to the town. The staff were lovely and helpful.
Cons: The rooms were a bit dark, and the bathrooms could be updated a little, but everything worked perfectly.

This quietly located guest house is 12 km from Grindelwald village centre. Surrounded by scenic hiking routes, Berghaus Männlichen provides bright rooms with country-style décor. Many have a private bathroom. Full buffet breakfasts and varied Swiss specialities are available in the restaurant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The quietness. The hole place is so peaceful. The views were amazing. The playground.
Cons: I think everything is pretty spot on. The rooms could do with some freshen up but that could also be just my own personal style. However the pillows were a bit of a disappointment. When you first look at them you think yes this is going to be promising but then once you lay your head on them all the fluff seems to have disappeared. Where did you go;))
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is exceptional. The views onto the Eiger Monch and Jungfrau are superb and our room looked direct out to them. Considering the location and the lack of other restaurants in the area, the hotel cost and food was very good value. Our room was very clean and the shower remarkably powerful, considering this is at the top of a mountain. The room was basic (but comfortable) and there was no TV, but with views like that, who would watch TV? Wi-Fi was good. It is a good walk up from Grindelwald and built an appetite which was fully satisfied by the evening meal.
Cons: The only negative was the need to pay in advance by credit card. Probably not an issue for most people, but it was the first time we have not been able to pay directly at a hotel booked through booking.com.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most spectacular views from any side of Berghause Mannlichen. We loved being there.
Cons: Everything was wonderful.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast very good. Location stunning. Views astounding. Staff excellent
Cons: A small table in room for computer etc.

Pros: This was our second stay (for 9 days) at the Hotel. Once again, we were well looked after by Elisabeth and Kurt and their colleagues. The Breakfast and Half Board were of an extremely high quality as are the comfort and cleanliness of rooms. The quiet location of the Hotel allied to the frequent (and free) local bus service giving access to lifts and walking areas makes for an ideal holiday.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and the view just made it. What a place to stay in the mountains!

Pros: The place is really special, with most amazing views over Eiger east face and Shreckhorn. Room was comfortable and food was properly filling for a hiker. It is a great trail to get to the BBäregg, with nice views and good effort.
Cons: All was perfect

Pros: I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend to anyone wanting to visit Grindelwald.
Cons: I loved EVERYTHING about this property. We were meant to stay for only one night, but we liked it so much we stayed for two!

Cons: No real negatives everything was great
10.0 Excellent
