7.9 Good
Pros: Cozy, small placewith beautiful gardens
Cons: Although the food's presentation was phenomenal, the taste was not up to par
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and very “zen”. We had a room with a garden view and that was really peaceful. We stayed for 2 nights : the first dinner was amazing but we enjoyed less the quality of the meat for the shabu-s’habille (2nd dinner).
Cons: When we arrived, the staff was nice and helpful but at the check-out, they barely spoke to us and didn’t even help us with the luggage (I am 6 months pregnant...). I didn’t like the discrepancy of behavior and quality of service. Also, one of the waiters was extremely smelly which was a complete turn-off while he was serving our dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Matsuzakaya Honten can only be accurately described as magical. This was our first time staying in a spa, much less in Japan, so we were not sure what to expect beyond some good food and a private bath. When we approached the inn from the road and were greeted by a staff member in the driveway, we realized that this was going to be a special experience. The building and grounds are beautiful and meticulously cared for. We stayed in the fall, and one of the trees in the courtyard was such a vibrant red that it lifted my spirits to see it. The inn is located near a major bus line, which made travel to the lakeside area easy. The inn is far enough away from the road that you hear none of the road noise. We booked the "Luxury Room with Tatami Area and Open Air Bath", a two-story suite with a private bath a garden. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with large windows looking out on the bath and garden. The bath itself comfortably fit my husband and I, and the temperature was adjustable. The sulfurous water was refreshing and invigorating! Our meals were incredible. Dinner and breakfast were included with our stay. Each were made up of traditional Japanese dishes, impeccably crafted and delicious. They were truly memorable meals that we'll be talking about for a long time! The staff is friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. We were well cared for during our stay.
Cons: Nothing! We loved everything about our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly helpful. Rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Private onsen was easy to book and facilities were excellent. Both dinner and breakfast meals were a highlight - tasty and beautifully presented traditional cuisine. Would definitely visit again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Appreciate they waited for us arriving after 8pm, as heavy traffic from Narita airport, and starting our Kaiseki dinner set later than normal hours. Excellent 4 persons family bedroom with comfortable beds with private outdoor onsen which we used everyday. Self service drinks table (with wines, sake, coffee, tea, fruit juice) very useful late at night after onsen. Can spend hours enjoying cosy Japanese style family room with board games and chess. A few bookable private small outdoor onsen good for family, but not necessary if there is private onsen in room. Great Japanese breakfast, and Shabu shabu dinner on second night.
Cons: Public onsen in Hotel has no towel (big or small) so need to bring those from room. Onsen pool smaller than usual. setting not as nice as some other public hotel onsen. Hotel big and needed to walk upstair and downstairs in corridor to get to places. Supplied Japanese style slippers too small for my size 9.5 feet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had an amazing and unique experience with the food and hot springs, the personnel very attentive to our needs, definitely one of the best during my short visit to Japan
Cons: Nothing ,everything was one’s experience impossible of forget
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good quality of meals, unfortunately not always our taste. The private public bath was very comfortable and nice.
Cons: The private bath (Onsen) in the room was very small and didn't invited us to use it. It was located behind the "washbassin room"
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolutely amazing traditional Japanese onsen experience. We were the only non-Japanese guests. Everything was so clean and absolutely perfect. You also get an enormous traditional dinner upon arrival and a traditional breakfast the next day.
Cons: It was a bit confusing to get to. Wish someone told us this so here it is: To get there, take the H bus from I believe bus stop 2 once you get to Hakone Yumoto station. If you look it up on Google Maps it will be in Japanese characters which is confusing but once you get there you’ll see it is the H bus.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: - Room is huge, nicely decorated and very comfortable. - Our room had a separate tatami area and a bedroom area with two beds. There were dividers between the two areas, which made it easier for the kids to go to bed earlier. - Deluxe room had a beautiful private onsen bath inside the bedroom. That was definitely the highlight of our trip.
Cons: - The only thing I would mention is that we smelled of someone smoking in the middle of the night even though it was a non-smoking property.
5.4 Okay
Pros: SPA and Onsen facilities as well as breakfast
Cons: Not a great option for a family with children. We had the deluxe room with tatami area and the sleeping option for the kids with a rather thin mattress on the floor was not great. The price is really high to sleep on the floor. The room price is above 600 euro and not worth the room. The onsen in the room and SPA was good though. The breakfast was also good. Almost everything was in Japanese and the staff spoke little english but definitely tried.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in beautiful Hakone with wonderful onsen facilities!
Cons: The breakfast was very average
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The kindess of the staff was super! Very nice people and very helpfull. We lost an suitcase in a bus and they did everything they could to help us. the hotel was clean, with a nice onsen outside. Everything was clean.
Cons: I cant think of anything what i didn't like.

Hakone Yuyado Zen - Hakone - Building
5
9.1 Excellent (263 reviews)
S$ 744+
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Authentic ryokan experience up the mountain in a forest. Good real Japanese food.Fabulous private hot tub. Fun very different experience.
Cons: Be aware that there is not much in the area other than hiking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The environment and food are of very high quality.
Cons: Should provide more welcoming chocolate upon request, and let the guest enjoy the welcoming drink more leisurely instead of urging us to go to our rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly nestled in the forests of Hakone with a daily view of majestic Mt. Fuji. Beautiful experience, exquisite food snd caring hospitality.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was amazing, helpful and friendly staff, great food, comfotable rooms and a great private bath. So relaxing i didn't want to leave.
Cons: Errm, clouds blocking the view of Mt Fuji, can't blame the staff for that though. Really can't think of anything else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were incredibly confortable. The room was amazing. The in-room onsen made for a magical stay.
Cons: I wish it were closer to the ropeway, but then it would have been out of our price range for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Great service and excellent views of Mount Fuji. The onsen in our room was also great! It was clean and peaceful. The beds were comfortable. They offered a shuttle service to and from Obako Ropeway station.
Cons: I couldn't really fault Hakone Yuyado Zen. Only comments I would make is if Supper could be different since we were there for 2 nights. Public transport to this place from Hakone Yumoto station is a bit of a distance away so make sure you leave plenty of time to travel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Yuyado Zen was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Mt Hakone. The staff are beyond excellent and the meals are at gastronomic experience. My husband and I also loved the in-room onsen which was beautiful on a cold day. Would love to stay here again.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was amazing, we had a great view of Mount Fuji, the outdoor bath was lovely - couldn't really ask for more!

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is about a 10 minute bus ride from the Hakone-Yumoto station (note that the bus stand is the one on the station-side of the road as you exit the station - which is opposite to where most people go towards). We stayed in the private room. The hostel is very clean as you are asked to remove shoes before entering the reception area. We only stayed a night so didn't get a feel of the hostel, but the amenities seemed good. Our room, which is meant for 5 people, was quite spacious for just the two of us. The futons were comfortable. The view of the mountains from the room was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place if you want to experience onsen on a budget price! We had a private Japanese style room with our own toilet, and it felt like we were in a fancier hotel instead of a hostel. The room was sparkling clean, beautiful and very roomy. The onsen areas (both indoor and outdoor) were also very clean and easy to use. Went at different times during the night and there were max 2 other people at the same time, so it's very easy to relax. Definitely recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hostel to spend a few days. Big comfortable rooms, nice common area and onsen. Clean. Great value for money. Staff very welcoming. Highly recommended.
Cons: The location is uphill from the city centre. So if you have heavy luggage better to wait for the bus !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The onsen was beautiful, and the hotel was kept impeccably. The staff were also extremely helpful and spoke amazing English.
Cons: A 10 minute walk from the bus stop (from the train station) up hill.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Onset was wonderful, room was private, quiet and clean, beds comfortable, kitchen with all needed amenities. Free coffee and tea.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything you need to enjoy hakone. 2 onsesn kitchen and social area. Beds were comfortable and private. Staff were very helpful.
7.9 Good
Pros: It's clean and cozy.

Pros: Great service; dinner and breakfast were absolutly perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, it was situated right next to the bus stop. A river runs next to the building, which gives fabulous views. Staff were friendly and helpful, English speaking staff available. The meals were great. This was an authentic Japanese experience.
Cons: There was no private bathrooms. The onsen was ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and attentive personnel, always ready to help. Stunning view from room. Dinner and breakfast were both tasty and interestingly served. Onsen is a great experience and is available almost all day long.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are amazing and look after the guests in a very warm and friendly way of customer service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were extra accomodating. We could not speak any japanese at all and managed to communicate somehow. The staff helped us move our bags up and down and even showed us to the bus stop and taught us which bus to take. One of my friends were gluten free so they adjusted the menu for that (we called in advance!). Bed and heating were nice and the view was superb We stayed in the Sakura 4 room.
Cons: The onsens were nice and hot. However, they could be cleaner and looks like they require a renovation (especially the rock based onsen as the tiling was chipping). But not a major issue - just aesthetics
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were treated to a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast which we all enjoyed and the staff were lovely and so helpful. Wonderful onsens too - so relaxing. Futon beds on the floor very comfortable as well,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying at this lovely traditional Ryokan was the highlight of an already amazing trip through Japan. The building had such lovely character, it was a pleasure to just walk around. The staff were fantastic, especially the wonderful lady who was our room attendant, nothing was ever too much trouble, and it was fantastic to have her explain all the traditional dishes served at dinner and breakfast. We loved our river view room, it was definitely worth the money to upgrade, as the purpose of staying here was just to sit around and relax. It was also useful to have the option of the private onsen, giving us the chance to get used to the experience without feeling too self-conscious. I would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful place!
Cons: The only negative I could see would be getting up and down off the floor if you had bad knees. Were both young, but we did say we may not recommend such a traditional experience to our parents as they would have found this uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay here was really special. This was a splurge for us so we only did one night, but it was so so worth it. The building is beautiful and old, the food was excellent, the service was outstanding and warm, and the onsen were lovely with different temperatures (a bonus if you’re like me and can only handle high heat for about a minute). We stayed in room Sakura 3 and the views were absolutely stunning. Everything felt very traditional, and so comfortable. So happy we chose Fukuzumiro.
7.5 Good
Pros: Traditional ryokan and it overlooked a roaring mountain stream. Onsen was lovely.
Cons: Rooms in need of some improvement. Toilet some distance away from the room. Onsen was small - wouldn’t have been so nice if there were more guests around. Only 3 could fit in the hot pool.

Pros: Design and owner hospitality
Cons: Gas heater. Cannot use at while sleeping. Very cold
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little hostel, felt very genuine and Japanese! The owner was very nice and helpful, he had a lot of tips and helped us with bookings and tickets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Sheets were clean and smelled fresh. The shared bathroom was very clean as well. Love the host, Kana. Wonderful hospitality and vast knowledge of the area to tell you all the secret local spots. I wish she can be my guide for the rest of Japan as well. Thank you for having us Kana!
Cons: The fact that it's a hostel. I wish we could pay more to have private hotel room with this host at this location. This is our first time using a hostel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience although we still would like to have our private bathroom to go with the private room. The room itself was a bit out dated but very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hostel and lovely helpful host. Our room was clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was clean and didn’t feel shared. Our host was very helpful with planning our activities in hakone. Highly recommend. Location is very close to two bus stops making it easy to get around the area. Also close to a number of restaurants and a great private onsen, which the host helped book.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Uchimido-san is super friendly and helpful. She made our trip absolutely memorable. 10 out of 10
Cons: If you're a light sleeper this is not your place to go the place is super nice but it can be noisy. But you can have ear plugs for free, so it should be ok.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in the private double room and the bed was super comfortable. Small heater warmed up the room perfectly. The host was super nice and a pleasure to meet. Common areas very spacious and well furnished, enjoyed meeting other travellers. Shower and bathroom area very clean. Quiet and respectful guests.
Cons: Would have just liked the blind to block out the light through the window.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was very helpful and the location was great.
Cons: The staff was very helpful and the location was great. This seems to be fairly normal but the check in and out times are limited to a five hour window
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was really friendly and helpful! I caught a flu and he traveled back his own home to source for medications for me. I really appreciate the kind gesture.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great for a little romantic treat during a long trip. Quite expensive for what you get. Food was ok, but given the price of the stay would have expected better quality, and fewer restraints on the time served. Lovely private onsen baths and clean big rooms. Most comfortably beds and bed linen ever!
Cons: Food could have been better quality. Expensive for drinks etc. Strict timings for meals. Location is good for some down time, but little else around hotel - easy access to the rest of Hakone via free shuttle to station/bustop just over the bridge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Terrific experience, great for an anniversary trip! Service was easily 5-star, and a great way to experience an onsen in a more private setting.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent services! Every staff has genuine smile on their face. I have pre ordered a birthday cake and the staff handed it to my room at sharp mid night without ringing the bell. Very considerate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bath was amazing. The bed is great. Good pillows. Clean. Modern. Good shower. Friendly staff.
Cons: The hotel is pretty secluded which makes it hard to leave to go to stores or in to town if you don’t have a car. Therefor I think it would be better to have more food available, not only the dinner and breakfast, but more snacks or even just vending machines. Maybe some more a la cart items in menu. I think also a couple simple chairs for the rooms. Or for the onsen area.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Very overpriced.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, lovely family run business.
Cons: Somewhat dated, old carpeting but very clean. Unfortunately due to the Typhoon only one onsen was operational.
6.0 Good
Pros: Dinner menu and service was great!
Cons: Property is tired and looks worn for $400/night we expected more. investment is required; Carpet replacement and paint at a minimum. Coffee and tea at breakfast was at extra charge and not included; sparse amenity space had a couple of plastic wrapped massage chairs and a ping pong table, also at extra charge. The private hot spring outdoor onsen was lovely, 30 minutes use was included in the cost of the reservation, but no towel provided other than room towel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, plenty of interesting and tasty food and or course the Onsen. Great! Also very convenient location. Maybe a bit pricey, but that's what you have to expect in Hakone. Would love to stay again!
6.3 Good
Pros: the stuff is good, food is good.
Cons: bed is uncomfortable. the unsen is just so so.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The dinner and breakfast were excellent. Private time in open air onsen was nice.
Cons: Facilities a bit dated.
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were super helpful. Our needs were anticipated and everything was done with a smile. The food was really good. Great tasting and fresh. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. The private bath was very relaxing and everybody enjoyed it.
Cons: Everything has a cost. Even the table tennis table which is permanently available costs money to use. For a place I'm spending so much money to stay, I would have thought a cup of coffee in the morning should be included. It just left me with a bad feeling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff showed great personal attention during our whole stay

Pros: The views from the rooms are breathtaking. The beds are comfortable. Near the hakone ropeway and the sightseeing cruise.
Cons: It takes long time to reach it by bus. Also you cannot ware swim ware in the hot baths.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything is amazing. The team is friendly. Very highly recommended.
Cons: More hangers for coats would be handy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We really appreciated the transfer from odawara station to the hotel. The view is pretty good, although we didn’t realise there was a road between the property and the lake so it’s not as close as it seems. The Onsen were fantastic but no tattoos are allowed so if you want to enjoy this hotel book a room with a private bathtub or hire out the private Onsen. Food options were good (traditional style Japanese buffet with western options for the less adventurous), the waitress didn’t ask us to try the wine/check for faults and just just poured two glasses and then when we asked to take the unfinished bottle from dinner back to our room (standard practice in any hotels we’ve stayed at in the past) it caused confusion from the waiting staff and took 10 minutes to get the okay from management. All in all a good stay but requires some refinement
Cons: Whilst really helpful, the luggage allowance on the transfer from the train station to the hotel is a single bag per person. I can understand that as the seat space in the minivan is limited, however I’d expect a luxury hotel to have equipped their transport with a roof rack to take excess baggage at no cost rather than paying a surcharge to have bags taken up in a separate transport. We opted to leave our additional bags at odawara in the coin lockers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, with a fantastic view over Lake Ashi. The buffet-style dinner and breakfast was of great quality and delicious. The onsen is very stylish and also has a wonderful outdoor section.
Cons: I am sorry to say that we were "once in a lifetime" guests from Africa but weren't given the opportunity to select a room with a lake-view at time of booking, so had to look on the car park. But we compromised and spent more time in the lobby where the view is beautiful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was buffet style, it felt crowded during the morning... probably due to buffet and a lot of people having their breakfast at the same time. Dinner was a bit more calm, with scheduled dinner times.
Cons: the room was okay, we chose a room with outdoor bath. but the view was so so as it was towards the road..
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Onsen was great. Including private onsen available for rent at a very low price (¥3000 / 40min). Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Dinner was a truly unique experience with endless selection of the Japanese starters.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodating staff, Excellent food, Great Location,
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The outlook from the hotel and the onsen
Cons: The buffet dinner was not up to the standard of the accommodation and facilities

Pros: We felt very well taken care of throughout the whole experience. It was nice having one staff member as our point of contact and she was the sweetest woman who made sure our stay was the best it could be. The views of the hotel and the surround town are amazing and we had such a refreshing visit during our trip to Japan. Definitely worth taking the trip to Hakone for this place!
Cons: There really wasn't anything we didn't like. We chose to walk to the location from the station and it wasn't too much of a hike. The location is easy to find and exceptionally staffed. The view and tranquility could not be beat!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous, peaceful ryokan. The staff are absolutely wonderful, very warm and welcoming—meeting them was one of the best parts of our trip. The food was delicious and presentation of both dinner and breakfast was spectacular. The room was beautifully renovated as a private oasis. Highly, highly recommend a stay here!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a small condominium that had a bath permanently filled with running hot spring water, the bath had a view of the surrounding hills and trees covered in autumn leaves. As well as that the public bathing areas were all inviting and well cared for. The shared spaces like the library and the deck (with a foot bath and fire pit) are a great touch.
Cons: We had dinner one night and breakfast each day. Both were good but not as amazing as the facility, the times for each are also a bit limited.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, and we loved the aesthetic of the room. A short walk from the Open Air Museum, a can't miss. Also close to Gora station, although the train was still out of commission at the time of our visit (late November 2019). We booked the rate that includes breakfast and dinner, which was nice (nothing remarkable), but the primary benefit was that it forced us to truly slow down and relax and enjoy our stay. There were also several restaurant offerings a short walk away.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are spacious and relaxing. Free Yukata and slippers are provided for roaming around within the hotel . Free drinks and books are available on the 2nd floor. Furthermore, this place has its own Onsen!
Cons: Breakfast was included in my stay, so I am not too sure about the cost of the breakfast itself. Overall, it was good but not amazing buffet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is super clean!!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is brand new, the staff is very friendly and always ready to assist. it is located near Gora station, also close toa delicious gyoza restaurant + the amazing open-air museum. The amenities are excellent especially the onsen and common library area. Drinks are available 24hours and the breakfast is just a perfect mix of japanese & intercontinental.
Cons: The fact that onsen can’t be reserved before check-in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location near Gora station, food very good, & drinks inclusive in the dinner option. Nice library area, and family friendly. Clean, good public baths, & nice private bath too. Rooms fairly spacious with comfortable beds. Large hotel, but didn't feel busy (except at breakfast).
Cons: Had to wait for a table to be ready for breakfast - quite a short window meant everyone arrived at once. Weather was not good so unable to make the most of the outside areas. In room bathrooms quite small, with shower only.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Only 3 minutes walk from Gora Station. They served very good dinner and breakfast. Very generous with the food. The receptionist is very helpful. Helping us to deliver our luggage back to Tokyo. Everything about this hotel is great. Great hospitality.
Cons: Nothing not to like about this hotel.

Pros: Location was near Gora station. Pizza was excellent and you get to use the private onsen for free
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay. The room is nice and the futon bed is comfy and cosy. They have the best staff ever, they were super kind and very helpful and spoke very good English. The bathrooms were clean and they have two onsen you can use for free, they also provide blow dryers and towel for free. There is free tea or coffee in the kitchen. Definitely recommend staying here when coming to Hakone. If you use the stairs coming from Gora station you won't have to walk far.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is few meters from Gora station. You can take the under passage from Gora station if still on operating hours. Stayed in female dormitory and I really like the traditional tatami mat style. Their pizzas are must try!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location for access to Gora Station to access all the sights in the region.
Cons: Bedding was not comfortable. Would have been good to have English instructions for using the appliances.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly and the large onsen was great! It had a very homely feel and I would recommend it for the location of being close to the sights of the area.
Cons: Although the onsens were lovely they were quite often occupied by other guests (but I guess that can’t be helped!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view, super comfy futon, spacious room, and best of all room included use of the onsens which were indoor and private. Perfect if you want the experience but arent ready for public nudity or have tattoos. We regretted not getting the breakfast, make sure you get it cause if you're staying in the area you'll find nothing open till after 10am. The onsens were perfect too. It was so easy to get to too! Close to the Gora station.
Cons: I had no issue with anything, but things people who are extra picky might consider: squeaky floors (its a traditional building, probably been there a hot minute) and there are some spiders (large ones) in a few dark corners (you're surrounded by nature sooooo yeah unavoidable)
7.1 Good
Cons: Few toilet.... Tiny dark onsen

Pros: Our story is a bit different than any other standard stay: The strongest Typhoon hit the east coast of Japan when stayed in Hakone. We had to stay 48 hours in the hotel- we couldn't get out anywhere. So they made us a special lunch so we won't be hungry in addition to the great breakfasts and dinners that were already payed for. They brought water and flashlights to our room when the electricity and water went out the second night They didn't charge us for the second night! That morning the kitchen staff cooked us a great breakfast using no electricity and water. They used head-flashlights and bottled water on gas! In the end- they took us and the rest of the guests to Odawara for free, since there was no transportation at all while the town was recovering from this disaster. We really appreciate everything they did for us during these challenging few days. Thank you so much!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else
Cons: The hot spring bath temp was quite hot for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge room with a cypress hot-spring tub, excellent view. Staffs are very helpful and kind. Location is convenient enough, very very close to H line bus stop, which connect Hakone Yumoto and Motohakone-ko. Food is very special.
Cons: After dinner, there seems no other option except for stay in hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, with a beautiful view on a small river and mountains around. It is close to a bus stop which is very convenient. The place is arranged with taste and very well maintained. Our rooms were spacious and the private onsen was a real treat. The staff members were kind and very helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, I have to mention here that most of us are vegetarian and the chef managed to make us experience delicacies of Japanese food inspite of our vegetarian diet. I highly recommend this place.

Pros: Very nice place, a combination between a Western style hotel (big rooms, modern facilities) and a Japanese ryokan (you are not allowed to wear shoes inside the hotel). Clean, comfortable, good location, decent breakfast.
Cons: The view from our room was poor, overlooking a dilapidated building just 20 meters away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay here - the location was wonderful, we really enjoyed our delicious dinner and the onsen was just perfect. We will be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room is clean and onsen is fantastic!
Cons: Transport from Gora station to other areas were difficult as there was no train service due to train track damage during recent typhoon.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Like how the overall look and feel of the resort/hotel. Place is bright and clean. Our room was the biggest one out of the floor so we managed to fit 5 people and still have a lot of space to walk around and put our luggage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the outdoor baths they were incredible and the food was amazing. The rooms were super cool and we had a private onsen which was life changing. The staff was so friendly and helpful which is really nice because I'm always lost.
Cons: It was a little out of the way but entirely worth it. It was a beautiful ryokan and everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely polite and hospitable. The breakfast and dinner were really good with many choices. The room had an amazing view and it was very clean. The entire building is fitted with tatami which really adds to the experience.
Cons: A very small complaint would be that sometimes the wifi can be slow but mostly it was quite fast.
