Avoid avoid avoid!! Nore accurate rating is 1 star
First off we booked for 10/21-23 and my email confirmarion and screen shot of booking all confirmed this. When we went to check in , they told us that booking was for 11/4-6. I showed them the confirmation then they told us we needed to take the issue up with kayak. After arguing for 3 hours(i dont give up) they finally gave us the room. The hotel is NOT a 5 star (1star) and the pictures are MISLEADING. Theoughout the stay the staff was awful. The hotel is also filled with mainlanders which makes it extremely noisy and crowded. Avoid avoid avoid. I couldnt take another day so in the end I booked the shangri-la.
Better value for the money at other hotels in the
Fairly quick check in process (which was also improved since the room was prepaid by booking through Kayak) Easy access via taxi, with a covered drop off/pick up area (great since it rains so much in Hong Kong) 2 complimentary bottles of filtered water
Safe in the room didn't work at all, and looked like it had been tampered with Small lobby with a ton of bags left by other guests, with minimal security and the bags out in the open Toilet was chipped and cracked Shower door didn't close fully, and the hot water took forever to come out Overall, pretty shabby decor and facilities for the price paid. I'd recommend Lanson Place Hotel over the Regal for any business travellers.
It was a little difficult to catch a taxi.
My room was very spacious. I did get upgraded but this was much cheaper and just as luxurious as the the grand Hyatt in wan chai.
Great location very near the metro and next toVictoria park. Also next to Ding Tai Fung.
Reception and check in not very friendly.
Good value for a good location. Great staff and lovely appearance.
Kayak's booking didn't go through and caused a delayed check-in.
Huge room for hong kong standards. Real (and huge) paintings in the room and corridors. Good location and excellent price. If you have a lot of baggage, the free shuttle to the airport express line ( hong kong station ) can be very convenient (otherwise subway can be faster)
Overpriced dinner buffet....but who care about that in hong kong? a city with so many culinary options
Regal Hongkong Hotel is situated near Times Square and Sogo in the heart of Causeway Bay, a vibrant commercial and shopping district in Hong Kong. The Convention and Exhibition Centre is a 5-minute drive.
