8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice neighborhood very close to the train station. The staff was super helpful, told me about trains being cancelled the next day because of a typhoon and helped me check the up-to-date train schedule by phone.
Cons: The curtains around the lower part of the bunk bed have large openings at the top, so they do not block light (and also other people from seeing inside). One shared toilet for women and one for both genders is often not sufficient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Host and family were very friendly and helpful. Only 5 minutes walk from the station.
10.0 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value, and in a great location. The rooms were fairly tight, but clean and cool in the summer heat. Shuji, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful, talking us through all the options of what to see in Kanazawa and how to get around.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The host Shuji was well organised and helpful throughout our stay and his young staff were lovely and welcoming. We were welcomed with a brief summary of local areas of interest and eateries all marked out on a customised map for us to use to explore the area. Stella offered us a home stay style experience where we could cook local market produce and enjoy time with other guests in the shared areas. Our room (B - triple) had a private handbasin and nice upstairs views onto the small street. The guesthouse is well maintained, clean, good value and very well located near the older Gion district of town. All these features ensured we were able to have a relaxed visit and easily enjoy the many wonderful places nearby in Kanazawa.
Cons: There wasn’t anything negative. As it’s a home stay style guesthouse there‘s no formal staffed reception desk. This limited our opportunity to seek information or assistance a couple of times when we had queries which was a little inconvenient, eg. calling us a taxi or making reservations. Shuji more than made up for this when he arrived back as we were departing on our last day and offered to drive us to the train station. We were most appreciative!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible host!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideally located, Stella was the most wonderful place to stay with my 2 young daughters. Our host Shuji was immensely kind and helpful and we loved every aspect of this lovely simple guesthouse.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's like a home.Everyday u can met different people from many different places. The owner was also very nice.He told me all the thing about kanazawa. And when I leave he also dive me to the station. I have a good time in the guest house.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location and cleanliness. The host has exquisite manners and speak good English. I would definitely recommend this place. We were a family staying in a two bunk beds room, which was spacious enough for the luggage and us. Shared kitchen is very convenient too.
Cons: Shared bathrooms were enough and clean, but would be even better if there were a basin on the first floor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This guest house is in a fantastic location. The host Shuji went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information and support we could need. We found our bed really comfy. We also rented bikes for a day from the guest house which I highly recommend. In the heat of early august bikes made getting around feel much more achievable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There are not enough words to describe what a calm and wonderful person the manager is. He gave us a lot of info about Japanese culture and what to do in the city. Very clean stay in a tranquil street with all the sights nearby, i.e. maximum 20 min walk. Nice city with a lot to do and see: geisha district, samurai quarter, fish market, kenrokuen garden, tea ceremony and great shopping and resto facilities.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Useful tips from the hotel owner (good restaurants nearby). When we left he gave us a ride to the station. Common room with kitchen and free tea/coffee. Five minutes walk from geisha district.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very good access and the kindest host you can wish for. he helped us so much and was so nice! i can only recommend this guesthouse!

The lavatories themself are worth the stay! The hostel is ideally located offering you access to all the interest points of the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Capsule room had a lot more space than the other capsule I stayed in Japan, plus the locker was in the capsule rather than in a common locker room which is a big plus, the breakfasts were amazing and the best I had in Japan (travelled for a month). Also the kitchen area was big, modern and very functional.
Cons: I cant really think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The place is amazing. You would love every single place and cleanliness.
Cons: Only 1 shower on one floor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean. The location is perfect for sightseeing but little bit further from the main train station
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and nice place filled with artsy design. Definitely has everything that you need right down from amenities to coffee and even food/drinks just down the hotel. The staff forgot to give me a new towel but the staff were quick in their response. Common area/kitchen is spacious and the bed was really comfortable complete with a locker and even a mirror. Overall, a very nice hotel and you really get what you pay for.
Cons: A little bit far from Kanazawa Station but close to tourist areas — all within walkable distance!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was thought out beautifully and even better than the pictures. It was trendy, artsy and relaxing – with neutral colors and local artists’ works on the walls of every floor. The industrial look and feel is perfect. The Hostel was centrally located, a short walking distance from most of the sightseeing spots in Kanazawa. The bunkbeds were very spacious, comfortable (with good linen!) and allowed for total privacy. The powder rooms and shower rooms were amazing: great water pressure and, bonus points, a rainshower. Also, they were beautifully designed. They had tons of amenities, all for free. Big pluses: (1) 100% clean as can be; (2) bottle of water on the bed every day; (3) the lounge room/kitchen is full of everything you might need, from kitchen utensils to comfy pillows on leather couches. The main atrium had a small shop with artisan’s works (e.g. pottery, knitting, jewelry), a coffee shop and a restaurant. The environment was light and friendly.
Cons: I’d say the only problem would be the breakfast. It’s done in collaboration with the coffee shop at the entrance atrium and it’s lacking.
6.7 Good
Pros: Liked the shower, and spacious capsule
Cons: Disliked everything else
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff - bar and restaurant downstairs ( we had a free drink voucher). Bicycle hire short walk. Station about 20-30 mins walk or 1000 yen
Cons: NA
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very modern hostel with a great degree of privacy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Big comfy beds, toilets nearby as well as in shower areA in basement. Spacious kitchen Good location
Cons: Shower and kitchen 2 floors down from beds, but there is a lift. Could do with a few more kitchen utensils (it seemed you have to rent a sharp knife)

Pros: The hotel was aesthetically beautifully done. The breakfast was delicious and worth ordering with both Japanese and Western meals. The room was spacious and beautiful. It made us feel special to stay here. The complimentary beverages all day and snack, as well as complimentary evening noodles (although we never tried them) were all welcoming. Internet connection was good and the complimentary phone with google map was very helpful.

Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was good and the staff was friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay here was great from the moment we were greeted by kimono clad staff. The hotel is a couple of years old but felt brand new. Completely modern but also offering traditional touches like the yukata in your room to wear around the hotel. All day free cold drinks and tea and coffee very welcome. The hotel was spotlessly clean. I’m glad I had read previous reviews about the exterior as it did look a bit industrial but the lobby is beautiful with lots of space and artworks dotted around. It is an easy walk to the castle and close to bus stops for the right and left hand loop buses which are easy to use and take you to all the sights. A day pass that you can buy from the hotel is only 400yen.
Cons: Nothing

The host had wonderful recommendations for everything from hidden gems to best dining spots. Everything they suggested was really special. My only regret is that I didn’t have enough time to check out their entire list of recommendations. I would definitely encourage my friends and family to stay there. It is a cozy home and central to the most interesting areas in Kanazawa.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay in Kanazawa. Bungo was a lovely host. Our room was lovey and clean. Bungo helped us book tickets to great and special activities (tea ceremony, doll painting) and gave us great advice on where to find the best restaurants in town. Authentic experience. Cons: Nothing

Pros: The location is perfect within reasonable walking distance to most sights and a plethora of small restaurants and coffee shops. The hosts are ready with recommendations and guidance on buses, routes to walk, etc. and speak English adequately. Simple, not fancy, with shared toilets and showers, but sink in room. A representative ryokan with out pretentions.

Pros: From the moment we got there we had such an incredible stay at Sainoniwa. The staff are top-notch, the facilities are beautiful, and the breakfast is spectacular. I couldn't have imagined a better experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and staff. It was by far our favorite of the trip. There wasn't much around the hotel in terms of sights or restaurants but their shuttle to the station made up for that. It left every 30 minutes and everything is around the station. The breakfast was unbelievable. Japanese with western touches that would keep any palate happy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff including the shuttle bus driver was outstanding. The description of the hotel as modern, traditional and no-frills was perfect- a great concept. Beautiful garden and easy access to all attractions because of their free shuttle service.
Cons: No nearby restaurants and food delivery options were meager

Cons: The location is slightly off the beaten path, but taxis are available.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good selection for BF but all was fresh
Cons: Sent some emails before arrival but tey were not received as BOOKING.COM's email system does curtail emails. VERY BAD of booking.com. So we ended with the wrong room but could solve the issue locally
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sparkling clean, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, attentive staff, we loved our stay immensely and hope to have the opportunity to stay again in the future.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic property, big and comfortable beds, clean, amazing breakfast (both Japanese and Western). One of the best hotels we stayed during our whole trip. Staff polite and helpful, the best service possible. Oh, and we saw an eagle on the roof top terrace!
Cons: The only minor thing is the hotel location, in the middle of a residental/warehouse/parking lot area. However, the hotel has a comfortable shuttle to Kanazawa train station, that worked really well for us.
6.3 Good
Pros: Stayed 2 years ago saw some improvements, BF selection upgraded, Staff were courteous and welcoming, Hotel was surround by wear houses before now replaced by residential,
Cons: Front office staff not knowledgeable in out of town routes, Guests allowed to wear onsan slippers to restaurant some made annoying noises,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service provided and very thoughtful.
Cons: None
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great room. Wonderful breakfast included.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff at this hotel were the friendliest and most attentive staff we have ever met. We are always impressed by japanese staff, but this staff was simply wonderful. The onsen was nice to relax in the evening and the breakfast had something for everyone (especially those who like to have ice cream for breakfast will be spoiled). The hotel is super clean and very cosy.
Cons: We had the smallest room in the hotel, but it still had all necessary amenities. We do find that the two arm chairs and coffee table should have been removed to create a little space.

Cons: Dining area is a little small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic place, the best we have stayed in Japan. The only family room where we each had our own capsule and could get some space from each other! Although we had to pay more to take a whole dorm, and that became a little expensive, it was such a comfortable night's sleep! The common areas are lovely, so nice to sit and chat, and make some food. The shaved ice machine is a total winner with the kids! The washing machine is a fair price and includes drying, which was terrific. It was such a nice stay in a great town, we didn't want to leave!

S$ 71+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Murataya Ryokan in Kanazawa, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle. Featured amenities include a computer station, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The ryokan is located 30 min walk from the station, but if you have JR pass you can use it on JR buses. I is in a little alley between a very nicee high street and the "cool" restaurants area. The tatami room was large and had air conditioning, beds, linens, and yukatas were as new. The common bathroom and washing areas were always impeccable. We have been offered great green tea and the water in the thermo flask was always hot.
Cons: They do not manage your payment through booking and they only accept cash. English was basic but enough to cover fundamentals for the stay in a ryokan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kimono and japanese style bath
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff in this typical Ryokan. Very good location. We could leave our luggage prior the check-in and after the check-out. Room furnished in a traditional way. A must-do in Japan.
Cons: Humidity smell in the room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location for sight-seeing, but not close to the train station. This is a classic ryokan-style inn. Great value. The lighting in our room was nice, with a window to a green, quiet courtyard. The staff were so helpful.
Cons: The onsen (hot bath) is tiny, and the bathroom is down the corridor. (Beware of the house slippers on the stairs).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Clean and good location. Owners are very helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It Is a traditional house in the center of kanazawa. It Is very comfortable with a small bit nice public bath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stuff ate extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and nice with walking distance to all the main attraction. I really enjoyed my stay there.
Cons: Only one small thing: when I went back for shower after a humid hot day, some guests locked the Japanese style shower/bath place from inside which was supposed to be shared with other people but that is not a big deal: just need to wait a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were restful and calming. We all loved the hot bath
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, clean & friendly - perfect place to explore the city!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is very comfortable stay. Lots of hot springs and nice location. Building owner was especially very friendly and super nice. I have enjoyed staying there and will come again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We are a bit shock when first entering the ryokan since the entrance is like a bar, however after we met and escorted to our rooms upstair, they are awesome. The host Yasou is a super nice person, asked whether we brought food since all stores closed due to New Year holiday and then offered to cook us a Japanese hotpot in a traditional room with a very fair price. He also gave us wines and sake as NY treat. I booked 4 rooms for 8 persons and when he saw we brought 2 little kids he said he will give us discount from the listed price at booking.com for the kids. The food turn out to be very nice. The rooms are clean, warm, with comfortable tatami beds. We left early in the morning without saying goodbye in the attempt of catching the earlier bus to Kanazawa. But it turns out to be no bus earlier than 7.30am as Yasou told us due to NY holiday. Yasou came to meet us at the station using and umbrella since it was snowing. He then insisted to give us his umbrella as a give since we didn’t use any. Our best stay in Japan.
Cons: There are no bathroom/shower room in the guest house but the public onsen is very near. Anyway, who will use a bathroom when staying in a ryokan?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location, quiet place to sleep well and the best host in japan. Very friendly host, he cooked for us and took us to an onsen! We highly recommed this place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Yasou the host is very very nice, friendly, helpfull, warm, caring, a good cook ... the best.
Cons: Everything well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner is so friendly and the traditional Japanese room is awesome. I really enjoy an amazing night there.
6.3 Good
Pros: The place was very close to the onsens if that is your purpose. The room was clean and there was parking. The internet was good. The owner gave us a voucher each for a free onsen entry.
Cons: There was no shower in the hotel. When asked about it, he said he will take us to the bath houses instead. We gave him a time at 7am in the morning, and he never showed. We had to walk to the bathhouse on our own. The room was also very small. It was for 4 people, but we could only fit 3 sleeping mats down. Also, we had to put all the bedding/sheets/quilt cover on by ourself. He also charged us a fee for heating, even though the price was “guaranteed.”
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Yasuo is one of the nicest people we’ve met—we bumped into him at the bus station and he gave us a ride to the guest house and offered to take us to his favorite onsen once we’re settled in and rested. A must place to stay if you’re in the area!
Cons: A little bit of the regular tourist route—but that might be a plus, actually!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very kind, he even took me to a local onsen with his car. The price is also very affordable for a traditional Japanese inn.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice traditional japanese rooms. Short distance to several amazing onsen. The owner is very friendly and helpful and makes great udon soup for breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: interesting host, nice facility, enjoyable rooms and services
Cons: none
Blue Hour Kanazawa - Kanazawa - Lobby

9.0 Excellent (1,294 reviews)
S$ 49+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Blue Hour Kanazawa, you'll be centrally located in Kanazawa, within a 5-minute drive of Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice view, complimentary tea & coffee Very close to the train station Very good organisation & friendly staff
Cons: Unfortunately there's no window at all in the mixed bedroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place, only a few minutes walk from the centeral bus station. Very kind workers, they . .helped me find a nice restaurant. Very clean .they let me storage my baggage after checking out for a few hours
Cons: There isn't service 24 hours but you can call a contract from the hostel by a phone they leave there
9.6 Excellent
Pros: There were proper mattresses on the bed, which is good for those not used to sleeping on hard futons. The female only area was excellent - it provided a fully safe space for female travelers who need it. There's refreshments, a separate toilet/ shower, and the area is code locked. It's also a five minute walk from the main JR station.
Cons: The capsules were plasterboard and wood, so the slightest knock on the wall echoed. Free ear plugs are provided though! Only one small gripe - nothing to put your wash bag/ clothes on in the shower cubicles, I had to put my clothes on the floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is good and clean the staff is very kind and helpful, its very close to the station and has a lot of facilities, its a must go if you go to Kanazawa
Cons: Nothing no complains at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff recommendations and helpfulness .Proximity to train .
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent; close to the train station and walking distance to sights. If happy to walk, there is no need for the bus. Towels are provided fresh everyday. Free coffee and tea all through the day. Reception staff were helpful. Bed is firm and individual space is spacious. Definitely can get a good night’s sleep unless there are early risers in the dorm.
Cons: Not sure why I chose the mixed dorm; female dorm must have been sold out but there is a smell in the mixed dorm. It could be stinky smell of shoes and socks from rainy weather or just general male and female mix. I didn’t experience such a strong smell in previous female-only dorms in hostels that I’ve stayed at. Choose your shower cubicle carefully; not all cubicles have hanging space for towels and clothes.
7.5 Good
Cons: Check in it's at 3pm (not 10 as states in the booking). Doesn't have a lift so you have to go upstairs 2 floors. (This wasn't indicated at prior)
7.1 Good
Pros: The hostel uses mattress not futon so its more comfortable. They provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. but not complementary toothpaste and toothbrush. Overall it's a good hostel for one or two nights stay.
Cons: The upper deck is too high and the stairs too steep. You really have to be careful if you stay in the upper deck. And the walls are thin, you can hear noise but they provide earplugs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: 1. Staff service was superb! 2. Mini fridges/toaster over/microwave/hot water provided for both female dorm and mixed dorm 3. Hair/Body shampoo/bath towels/hair-dryer provided! 4. literally 4min walk from Kanazawa Station. You can view the station in full as you sit at the bar counter.
Cons: Perhaps better locker storage for each of the bunk beds could be improved. Mine was a wooden locker storage with combination number lock which looked pretty old and could be easily broken into.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is great less than a 5 minute straight walk from the station. The beds are comfortable and conveniently have lockers in the capsule. The staff are helpful and the common area has a really helpful map detailing out points of interest.
Cons: The dormitory area is a bit cramped. The atmosphere inside the common area is very muted and quiet so it’s not a comfortable space to relax in. Feels almost like a library.

Cons: Maybe the bathroom was too small it's cramped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly helpful and speaks good English Bed and blankets very comfortable, quiet area. Location highly convenient for sight seeing Coffee and cookies super delicious Great recommendations for breakfast and restaurants nearby. Price very reasonable
Cons: The keys a bit heavy No parking but there are quite many parking lots nearby, I parked my car nearby overnight paying only 700 yen for 24 hours.
7.1 Good
Pros: - stylish lobby -location -friendly staff
Cons: - the room was very small. Almost no room for storing our luggage. - the bathroom was like a small cabin. If you’re tall... it might feel a bit tight
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Rooms a bit on the small side but perfectly adequate
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great coffee, lovely helpful staff
Cons: Softer pillows please!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were pretty good and helpful. Being able to rent the bike was pretty amazing. I rode to the famous Higashi Chaya district at night, and familiarized with the place. Since this place is a cafe too, their coffee was pretty damn good. I asked for recommendations and I was promptly given several. The room was surprisingly larger than I had expected.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although like most Japanese hotel rooms they were small, they were cleverly designed to maximize the space, The staff was very friendly and helpful. And we scored the little coffee shop:bar in the lobby.
Cons: We had no complaints
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, very helpful staff, and a good location. Highly Recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location- close to the main attraction on kanazawa. Very nice and helpful staff!
Cons: Nothing in particular
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice stay, design of the hotel was also lovely. Rooms were bigger than expected. Western beds were comfortable. Bathroom little small but doable. All amenities were there including a Japanese pajama. Those were very comfortable to wear. Staff speaks limited English but is extremely kind. Would definitely recommend this place to stay. Location was next to the market and the castle park. Perfect for us!
Cons: There was a used hairbrush on top of the mirror. Probably forgotten while cleaning. However the rest was perfectly clean!

7.1 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was very good for sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel seemed old and needed to be updated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Awesome staff willing to help in anyway they could.
Cons: No pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really luxurious couple of nights in Kanazawa, staff were very friendly and professional, some of the best English speaking we encountered throughout our three week tour of Japan. GOod Location as well.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast great! Location great! Staff recommendations for restaurants great! Many of the staff were lovely and tried hard. The onsen was fun! The lobby is welcoming and pretty and the check-in/check-out is easy and pleasant. The free drinks and treats everywhere were a nice touch!
Cons: Some of the staff were not so pleasant. Given how expensive the hotel is, they really should have a staff member who speaks English on duty at all times - given the fact that the hotel was at least 50% occupied with English-speaking/European travelers. Rooms were clean and decent-size. They were comfortable. However, for the price, the decor is really dated and bathrooms were hideous and small. Hallways were depressing and shabby - especially unpleasant to look out on the dirty smoking outdoor area/exit right near elevators. All this was expected based on previous reviews, but when you get the bill - same price point as 5 star hotels in Tokyo!!!! - you realize they need to overhaul. Breakfast room is an example: food and buffet was great - but the set-up is very pedestrian - more along the lines of a lower price point.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and professional staff. Excellent location and breakfast. The hotel has an interesting feature a hot spring that you can use. Also the restaurants in the hotel are very good.
Cons: I feel this was an expensive hotel for Kanazawa and there was not even one English language TV channel which we found odd as most overseas hotels at least have CNN.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great, very big hotel with onsen on site, which was wonderful! The Onsen had everything you could possibly need and the Traditional Japanese Style rooms were wonderful and spacious.
Cons: Maybe the price was a bit expensive and the location slightly less central, but wonderful nevertheless.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really great facilities, on site washing machine, private baths for couples or small groups, very helpful staff and delicious breakfast
Cons: Get to breakfast early as it’s very popular with other guests

Pros: The hot springs were wonderful, everything else was terrific
Cons: It was perfect

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Yuzuya Ryokan Kanazawa Ryokusone in Kanazawa, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at Yuzuya Ryokan Kanazawa Ryokusone. The staff are amazingly friendly, the breakfasts were amazing and the living space was ideal for someone wanting a more Japanese experience. The bath was the highlight, Japanese style deep bath and hand shower which was so nice I spent hours soaking each evening. They also had good car parking, just make sure that you let them know ahead of time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms, the amenities (leave your own toiletries at home), the food (the chef is fantastic; I ate the Kaiseki set dinner most nights and breakfast is done Japanese style or Western— the croissants rival Paris), and most of all, the gracious service. Everyone here is warm, friendly, and so helpful (I left something on the train from Tokyo, and they called night and day to retrieve it for me; I left my glasses in a taxi and they got those back too!). Toku (the head concierge) speaks English and is incredibly kind and patient.
Cons: Nothing! I love walking and wandering to get to know a place, so the 20-30 minute walk to the sightseeing areas did not bother me (even in the rain) but fair warning: most of the other visitors took taxis to town center.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place, gorgeous room, great food and the best staff.
Cons: The location makes sense for the place itself but in a traveler perspective it was always difficult to come back from the centre by taxi because drivers didn’t know the place, were lost and just driving around and around...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A ryokan joining beautifully modern with ancient. The breakfast was fantastic, specially I was given the little room with a view - special experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful serene ryokan with amazing food and beautiful rooms
Cons: Location is a bit far from things, but if you don’t mind walking through quiet neighborhoods for 20-30 minutes it’s fine.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very traditional!
Cons: I would have preferred something continental
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Incredible view from our room. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable... Breakfast was amazing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Rural authentic traditional
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent too. Recommend travellers who are on a road trip, as it’s slightly away from city centre (about 20 minutes’ walk from Kenroku-en). it’s also the place for those who value your privacy as you only meet other guests at breakfast (and even then, depending on the number of rooms taken, you may have your own private room for breakfast).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the staff could not do enough for us
Cons: Nothing everything was perfect

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was very convenient. The hotel is connected to an underground restaurant area where you can get high delicate Japanese food. The Kanazawa bus transit center and train station is within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and professional. Room was spacious compared to similar hotels in Tokyo.
Cons: The interior design of the room is decent and comfy, but a bit outdated, especially compared with the glamorous lobby design.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Luxury hotel frontfacing the station, wonderful lobby, good furniture in the room, staff very helpful
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb, just a stroll from the Kanazawa Station. The Western restaurant on the 30/F is surprisingly good and a must-try if you live there.
Cons: The room is smaller than I expected. The breakfast is not as good as some reviews said.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location next to train station. Beautiful view. The price of the hotel is very reasonable. Lot of choices of restaurant. We tried 2 which were very nice. We were given a complementary mattress for our 2 years son.
Cons: The room was small and would need a little update. There are 2 bars in the top floor but none of them accept kids so we could not try.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The size, the bed of the room is comfortable. Breakfast is excellent!

7.5 Good
Pros: Location, comfortable bed, good value for price
Cons: I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was included in my room rate, and I must say the buffet offered a good variety of food, from traditional Japanese to yogurt and cereals. On the first day, I asked the restaurant staff if I take away my breakfast for the day after as I was to catch a very early train to Tokyo. They didn’t speak a world of English, so they sent me back to the hotel reception. Even the staff at the reception were very confused by my request, but translated it to the restaurant manager. In the end they refused, despite the breakfast time was still on that day, saying that they didn’t have any container for take aways. Note that they had a promotion on, with 10% of discount on lunch and dinner to take away. The staff of the hotel were not very helpful either!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet rooms on the upper floors with park views. Comfortable bed in the single room, 2 meters long. Very helpful and very friendly staff: phone call to Tokyo in Japanese, they printed google map from my next hotel. Not on a busy and noisy street like many other hotels in Kanazawa. Daily room service including new towels. Easy to find: 2 stops with the JR bus from the train station, then 4 minutes walking. Convenience store 7 eleven and ATM 50 meters away. 4 minutes walking from the market.
Cons: Single room could be bigger. It is only 13 square meters. The TV was on every time I entered the room and there was a commercial for the hotel. Air conditioning is not as quiet as in other hotels, but I could sleep.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean fresh rooms and very nice reception staff
Cons: The restaurant attached to the hotel isn't great - I had a 4 cheese pizza but it wasn't very good.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location. Room was larger than typical for Japanese hotels and also was quiet. Breakfast was fine, but mainly Japanese style foods. Good coffee.
Cons: No English language TV stations. Staff spoke limited English, but were generally helpful. Strict 2 pm check in time even if your room is available--seems silly. Not much ambiance to the hotel--limited common area and just some bench seating.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, very cheap, close to everything that was worth a visit, i.e. the Omicho Market
Cons: All fine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff; great location not far from the castle park and the tea house district; lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance; train station can be easily reached on foot; room was clean and well maintained
Cons: Everything was great; no problems
9.2 Excellent
Pros: lots of amenities bathroom is comfortable and the set up of the room is also convenient there is a book in the hotelroom that explains everything very proper sights and sounds are closeby to walk i was so satisfied i changed my booking in Osaka to their hotel
Cons: the duvet is also your cover to sleep in. so there are cotton sheets (thin) and the the duvet is stuffed for the warmth. i found this unhygienic , so i didn't use it tv flips on everytime you enter the room. internet/wifi is not quick this is not a negative but just a suggestion: the "lounge" is quite sterile, so white and uninviting, you definitely didn't want to sit there, let alone lounge.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff Location
Cons: Small room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location. Good value for money. Rather spacious room by Japanese standards. Breakfast is about 1500 Yen - worth it if hungry enough (good selection of local products, nice explanations in English).
Cons: The room lacked a real window, however as my stay there was only for 1 night it did not bother me too much.

Pros: Was pretty good quality.
Cons: Bathroom can be cleaner and newer.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good personnel, good breakfast.
Cons: Size of the room and a bit steep in price.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First stay at a Tokyu Hotel and very impressed with the level of service and overall look and feel of the hotel. If you are looking for a modern hotel in Japan which is still very Japanese then this chain is a good bet. This particular hotel is very well located for the garden, the castle, the modern art museum and the old samurai neighbourhood. Around the back are plenty of bars and izakayas to keep you happy at night. We instead opted to walk to Higashi Chaya-gai, the eastern geisha district, which was very pretty but extremely quiet. Should probably have visited it during the day rather than evening.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel is a short bus or taxi ride from the station but in a very good position , near the gardens and samurai district The staff were very friendly and did their best to help ( although our request for soft pillows in English and Japanese only resulted in more hard ones) I liked breakfast but my friend who likes western style breakfasts thought it OK and no more
Cons: The beds were hard which my friend and I could have tolerated had the pillows been soft: a hard rubber pillow and a softer one but with a hard grainy layer ( perhaps buckwheat?). We had little sleep both nights It was my second stay in a year at this hotel. I had booked superior single rooms with club access. There was an element of penny pinching - the room was on the small side, only one towel and even only one teabag! The club lounge was the same - hardly anything to eat with drinks eg three tiny plates ( one with half a slice of salami and pork sausage and a little bit of cheese was the largest offering ) and no generosity in the range of drinks or offering another glass My friend rated this hotel the worst she had stayed in in her four trips to Japan. I thought it only fair this time
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a great location, room size was good. Bathroom clean and well sized.
Cons: Mattresses were too hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the most wonderfully kind people. Super accommodating, resourceful and helpful. Extra thanks needs to go to Zhi Yang. I left some items in my room which was my fault alone and had left Kanazawa before realizing. Upon contacting them I was promptly re-directed to Zhi who has been in constant contact with me to organise forwarding my items to Osaka location for pick up.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very central location. Clean rooms. Courteous and very helpful staff.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were great, facilities and public spaces were comfortable and attractive, location was perfect, restaurants and food were delicious. The staff was accommodating and friendly, and they went above and beyond to help with any request.
Cons: There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and the wired internet that was provided was very slow. In this day and age, it seems important to provide quick, reliable internet and Wi-Fi, or it will be difficult for business travelers (or anyone who relies on the internet really) to stay there.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: No
