10.0 Excellent
Pros: Impeccable service, delicious food, outstanding room, wide range of activities, and beyond expectation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's really beautiful!
Cons: The only disappointment was being charged almost 2.000 baht for a bottle of wine that we later found in every supermarket for 350!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach was beautiful and we almost always had it to ourselves. Travelling into the hotel by boat, we saw many locations with very crowded beaches, but the beach at this location was clear and empty most of our visit. Having our own pool at our room was also a treat and worth the cost. The breakfast buffet each morning had everything we needed. There was a cook for omelettes, bacon and other meats, fruit and deli meat/cheese choices, etc... All very good! The staff here also tend to you constantly, very nice! When we traveled to dinner, they picked us up in a golf cart. When we sat in the beach chairs they showed up with a bucket of ice and water bottles. They have scheduled hours for bringing fruit, ice cream, and afternoon tea to guests. The person I was travelling with had a birthday during our trip and the hotel showed up with a birthday cake for her. Wonderful service!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beach is unbeatable, it is almost like a private beach. The team is really professional and make their best effort to ensure your comfort. Nice layout of room. The food is good, especially the seafood buffet with fire show, worth to try.
Cons: We stayed in room 109 next to the main pool, it is convenient as we have kids with us, yet lack of privacy if it is for couple.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Very clean. Wonderful landscaping. Brilliant staff. Excellent accommodation. It really is difficult to find any negatives. It is a very expensive resort, but I do consider that you get the exclusivity and value for the money.
Cons: Cannot think of a single negative.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect welcome at Jadet Pier, and very smooth transfer to the island (and back to the mainland). Amazing private beach, crystal clear water just like in a swimming pool. The beach was cleaned constantly. Our beach villa was spacious and cozy. The staff were absolutely amazing, Thai friendliness/service at its best, one of the best experiences we have ever had in this regard. The GM is around all the time and often talks with the guests, which is uncommon and we appreciated it. We loved the fruit, ice cream and afternoon tea served daily from 1PM to 5PM. Breakfast was good. If one needs total relaxation, this is the perfect resort, as it is very quiet and peaceful.
Cons: Unfortunately, there were sand flies and sea lice during the last 3-4 days of our stay. We have experienced worse, but it was still annoying. The biggest downside for us was the food served for dinner, we thought the quality was average, and definitely expected more from such an incredible resort. At least they serve small complimentary appetizers before the meal that are delicious.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful clean beach, turquoise warm sea, great pool at just the right temperature, gym, well equipped thatched beach villa, excellent spa, amazing staff ! Complementary fruit and ice cream and afternoon tea didn’t need a lunch !
Cons: My only slight grumble was that there wasn’t enough entertainment and the excellent entertainment which we did see was from 7pm and only lasted 30-45mins. We were back in the villa for 8.30pm which was a bit too early, even for us who were there to relax. From past experiences at other similar venues the entertainment would start after dinner about 8.30pm. Also live music in the dining room at lunch and dinner would give it more atmosphere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, perfect service, perfect resort, everything is perfect, the general manager was extremely friendly and welcoming. Will be back definitely again next year.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
6.3 Good
Pros: nice environment Nice complimentary fruits and afternoon tea Great beach and water activities
Cons: Bad attitude staff in the lounge of ao Prao pier Not so good housekeeping Far from the groceries

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was awesome. The hotel had a great cosy feel to it. Right close to the pier where the ferry drops you off and picks you up, so super convenient . Scooter rental shop was right next door, which was great too. Food at the restaurant was tasty, but there are great restaurants all along the island.
Cons: Everything was super nice, so If i really had to nitpick i would say that a new coat of varnish around the hotel would spruce it up really nicely. But that is really nitpicking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: -Breakfast is good. -The hotel is located next to the pier.
Cons: -Limited time for bike rental -Wifi connection is weak in the room
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The scenery and pool and beach very nice, Room spacious and clean, very friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast a bit boring. price of the Room too high compared to quality, but the island is expensive. Young Chinese guests oblivious to all rules.

Pros: Clean quiet Delicious at Ploy sea restaurant
Cons: Air on is too cold The beach is a small

6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast is good
Cons: Room isn’t value for money
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Ao Prao is perfect for family
Cons: 1, quality of the hotel bicycles need to be improved (poor brakes!) 2, island around the beautiful bay is very dirty (full of plastic garbage on the coastal rocks and across all bushes). Why we pay 200 THB to Park Protection Authority? I have never seen any of them cleaning anything. Koh Sa Med is getting plastic polluted! pls help to protect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing beach, personel, location, beach, energy of the place. Great quality. Very rich breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the food and the beach are the best in the island! Private beach, cleaned and with charme bowngalo and staff very very nice.
Cons: Amazing place!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The breakfast lacks nutrional vegetarian options
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It is just by the beach, not even a short walk away Very friendly and helpful staff The little town is a short taxi ride away Given how the resort is a fair distance from any convenience stores/bars, was surprised the menu and minibar items were NOT exorbitantly overpriced
Cons: Just a very, very minor point - the shower could use a little more pressure and hot water can be more consistent
5.8 Okay
Pros: We eat several times dinner, very good staff, excellent food! (breakfast so la-la) Beach very nice, clean and (compared with others) very quiet!
Cons: We (6 persons) get the 3 rooms not closed to each other! One room: about 5 stairway steps, very closed to the pool, the other rooms about 60 to 100 steps (highest rooms on the hill). Coffee not good, a better one can order, but have to pay extra! Pool with small kids: Not really made for small kids below 2 years old. Slippery floor in the pool, easy to hitting with sharp stoned around.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, quieted place No more crowded, good environment
Cons: Cost of living quite high (foods)

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and laundry facilities. Guests may use a ferry terminal shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
6.3 Good
Pros: The garden area is quite nice and the beach section is great for peace and quiet, and for kids. The pool is good too, but only for adults or older kids. The free ferry to and from the island is a great touch and very handy.
Cons: For the price we paid in low season, 2,700 baht for a cottage, we got a semi detached one, but was expecting a detached, we thought this was a bit expensive for what we got. The room was quite small with no chairs for sitting, and the mattress was on the floor with little space. For a family of 3 this was quite cramped. The pool didn’t have a kids shallower end, but this is not necessarily the resort’s fault, but made it hard for my 2 year old kid to enjoy it unaccompanied. The breakfast was way too basic for what we paid, even when we came down with over an hour left before it finished, some things were not replenished. So, it’s not a buffet as such, because you need to order the American style set.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed in a very nicely decorated room. Staff are friendly and helpfull.
Cons: There are sandflies on the beach so you will get lots of bites that itches.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic especially Min Aung who went out of he’s way to help with anything we needed. Also the pick up and drop off system to the property was really easy.
Cons: The location is a little far from the action but this could also be considered a positive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was exceptional.

Pros: Very clean room! Comfy beds and nice decorations. Great balcony with sea views. Staff was very friendly and helpful! There was no problem for us to check in a lot earlier. 7.5 Good
Pros: I really liked the location and the staff were amazing. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, a real effort had been made!
Cons: I just didn’t like that you couldn’t use certain pools if you were not staying in the Deluxe part of the hotel. It seemed a shame that you can’t use 2/3’s of the hotel depending on what room you had.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff at the reception and in the restaurant. Good location, walking distance to the "main street" with all the restaurants, etc. Resort is almost on the beach with a lot of restaurants over there to choose from for dinner. Good and complete breakfast (Western and Thai) in the restaurant which is almost right on the beach. Nice view. Good coffee. Nice size room and complete bathroom with a swimming pool in front of the door. A bit noisy during the day though. The place has a beautiful aesthetic. Great service is the complimentary boat travel and taxi ride to and from the Resort.
Cons: Koh Samed itself. Not a nice island. All the roads (2 main ones) have really high speed bums, which makes driving a scooter not much fun anymore. Much more fun to do that on Koh Mak: no speed bums at all and more lovely nature. You should realise that the hotel is located within a Nature Reserve, which means that when you check in they make you pay Thb 200 per person! The prices on Koh Samed are higher than on the islands of Koh Chang and Koh Mak. It's also more touristy.
7.0 Good
Pros: staff were very good and location
Cons: its advertised with 3 swimming pool when booking and they don't let you use all 3 not good....
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: The fact that after requesting an upstairs room well in advance and also nearer the time our request was completely ignored. Will probably try a new resort on our next trip.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The staff and security
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing really special, nothing over middle class hotel
Cons: Danger for kids! At the pool, side for kids playing and running arround: There is a cover on the floor, size about 1 meter x 1 meter, it is the access / entrance for maintenance staff to the pool underground equipment. It was open and no staff watching there / no anything people’s can see it‘s open! Kids can fall (2 to 3 meters) and die! Staff: We sorry about that. Thats all. And as I get the impression about a big part from the staff: It will be all, no changes about training or exchange talking how they have to do there job correctly. Bad and sad! Breakfast low choose and very low quality. Not close to the Thai Hotel middle standard. And other bad experiences. I recommend to choose another hotel.
3.3 Mediocre

6.3 Good
Pros: Service and staffs are the only great things.
Cons: Location is not as good as its price. I paid for 3,600 thb/night for the resort locates beside the beach but it’s sharp rock beach that you cannot go to swim or sunbathe. Even they allow you to walk from the resort to Sai-Kaew beach through Sai-Kaew resort but it comes with tons of regulation that deny to use any beach facilities. Another thing is breakfast, it’s just a la cart that you can order only one menu and if you order Thai breakfast, forget about any bread, toast or egg as you have to pay for it. Just only simple salad (lettuce, tomato, and onion with 2 nasty sauces) and coffee that you can refill. These are all what I paid 3,600 THB/ night for !!
7.1 Good
Pros: Helpfull staff. Lovely white houses in a beautiful garden.
Cons: Not very lively
5.4 Okay
Pros: This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Cons: Got to the property and expected a white sand beach with use of a swimming pool. When we arrived the property has no white sanded beaches, only rock. Could not swim in the ocean here! Ok, we thought we will just use the swimming pool, no big deal. When we arrived at the pool there was a security guard who immediately started yelling at me for putting my toe in the pool, thought this was very strange! At this point we all went and put our bathing suits on for a swim in the pool. Eight of us came back to the pool, my 15 year old son and the rest of our family. As we started to enter the pool, this same security guard stated that we could not swim in the pool with board shorts and regular swim wear, which I have used through the world. We were told rudely that the men had to use European swim wear. Speedo type swimwear and bikinis for the girls. So basically we were banned from using the swimming pool. This property does not have their own pool they share a pool with another resort next-door. It felt like there was some kind of feud going on between the two property and we got caught in the middle. The staff at the desk keep giving us the runaround about a refund, as we had book this nightmare hotel for 3 nights. Finally after hours of talking to the manager at the property they gave us a telephone number in Bangkok to help us cancel the reservation. Booking.com tried to contact this number and was given the runaround by the staff in Bangkok. Finally after a few hours and a lot of fighting the hotel agree to give us all our money back expcept for the use of 1 room for the night. The price was around $90 a night. Would also like to mention that all the other hotels were charging around 200 baht for a massage, this hotel was charging around 2000 baht if I remember correctly. Very pricey for hotel with no beach, no pool, and nothing to do here. All the white sanded beaches are on the other side of the island!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and grindly helpgul stagf. Would recommend!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are very nice (SeaView Room) and clean with enough bathroom space. Rooms are also very clean. Staff is nice Food is really good. Breakfast has a small buffet part with some basics but you can than order a breakfast of choice on a menu which is excellent! I liked this solution and all the food all day long is of very high quality. Swimming Pool is very nice (maybe put some longchairs instead of only the mattresses because if you're getting a little older, lying on the floor is very low to the ground!) Private beach area nice and clean!
Cons: Although the cleaning is great and the gardener is working the whole day some general maintenance starts to be needed (worn out wood, little bits of paint here and there to be redone, small repairs in lighting, lamps in the room etc.) The biggest issue for me is the Chinese people arriving by boat every morning for a day trip using part of the facilities of the hotel. Although personnel is trying to chase them out of the private beach or pool area, they don't often care and they have lack of respect for the people staying in the hotel I presume the hotel is doing this kind of business to complement the income but if you pay about 135€ (certainly now with the rate of the Thai Baht) and you have to see 150 rude Chinese arrive every day making noise, taking pictures everywhere, even of the private rooms of some people, using the toilets but leaving them dirty so that the personnel has to clean 10 times than the total value for money of the hotel is dropping down!... I loved the hotel but this experience disappointed me a lot ... not sure if I would stay there again. Without the one day travellers, NO DOUBT I would stay here again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location, wonderful staff, clean, very good facilities, beautiful surroundings.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location was nice near the beach.
Cons: Pretty old resort and the rooms was also old without any recent renovation. A bit scary shower behind bungalow (outside). Very expensive rooms for this poor quality of rooms.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The room look nice and clean
Cons: The group tour they are all over the place in the day time lack of piece and can’t relax on the beach and the pool.
6.0 Good
Pros: Resort is tucked away at the end of the road with lovely forest on one side and clean white sand beach on the other side. Hotel grounds are meticulously manicured and clean. Cabins are spacious with outdoor showers and seating area. Hotel reception staff are super nice and attentive.
Cons: From about 9am till mid afternoon, speedboat upon speedboat of Chinese tourists are dropped off and recollected at the coffeeshop next to the hotel and descend onto the hotel's "private beach". We watched the hotel's security guard try to keep the tourists off the beach merely holding a sign, but his attempts were feeble and he eventually put the sign in the sand and disappeared. The smell of gas emitted from the constant arrival and departure of Chinese tourist boats lingers in the air all day and is absolutely intoxicating. The smell and constant passing of speedboats really ruined the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast staff seemed disinterested in doing their job and were not keen on replenishing quickly any item on the very small choice of a buffet. We ordered the the Good Morning Fried Rice and asked to exchange the sausage for an extra fried egg, kitchen staff did so but instead of sending our meal out with bacon (as the menu said) it came with square plastic ham instead. When we walked around and looked at other diners main courses, ours seemed to fall short of portion size and quality of ingredients
9.0 Excellent
Pros: My friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the property. It's absolutely stunning and from whatever other resorts we came across during our walk, Mooban Talay seemed to be the best! Its got an amazing beach, good food and uniquely beautiful rooms. Loved the ambience and our experience of staying there. Note that its a good half-hour walk from the main stretch where all the restaurants are bars are so if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful area, this is your place to be :) The staff is also helpful and they even have boats going directly to the Pierre across the island!
Cons: Perhaps voluntarily adding water bottles in the room during room service cleaning and adding hooks ,to hang, in the bathroom. Just some feedback for next time :)

Pros: Everything worked fine. Room seemed to been just renowated, tidy, clean and comfortable. Host was helpful and it was located close either from the pier and Saikeaw beach.
Cons: Located at the backalley of main road. First time it was little a bit difficult to find it even with instructions.

Pros: It's a beautiful room - short walk to the beach. Great value for the price.
Cons: There might be some problem with the water pipe.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, can easily walk from the pier to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best thing about this property is size - it’s big and has three wcs with showers, so if it’s 4 of you travelling will help to avoid any lines to the shower. Another thing is cleanness of the rooms - it’s tidy and nice. Good Wi-Fi, bud doesn’t work perfect on the distant room.
Cons: When traveling to Samet next time, I’d prefer a property on the beach, as beaches on Samet really worth it.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved this place. Check in at the mainland pier was easy with good transfer of us and our baggage to the resorts own ferry. Beach is clean, dinner on the beach was good. Thai food was fantastic, disappointed with the barbecue. Breakfast good. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Perfect location at the quiet end of a lively beach. Would definitely go back.

9.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing !!!
6.0 Good
Pros: The location on the beach was great and a free ferry upon check out back to the mainland was good. Breakfast had good variety and was tasty.
Cons: Overpriced and was disappointed with my room. It smelled and felt like I was paying double what I should have been even for the time of year.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice is excellent and plentiful. Nice sun loungers and plenty of areas to sit in. We stayed in Thai house 8 with a partial view of the beach for 6 nights. Very traditional style accommodation with a pretty veranda. Comfortable bed with both fan and a/c. Small but great little bathroom. Liked having our own fridge with a small mini-bar. Good to see some recycling bins in use. Lovely drinks available in the cafe. Be aware that as things close quite early, they start quite early too...from 6am onwards. This didn't bother us as we get up early and like to catch a sunrise but if you want to get up late with utter quiet, this is not the place for you. We liked the free transfer on the boat - only took around 50mins though the speed boats are good if you want a quicker transfer.
Cons: Restaurant/bar is shut from around 9.30pm and we would have liked the option of having cocktails after dinner. However most places also shut up around 9.30-10pm (not that we wanted a party beach!)

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great beach with a lots of masers around if you want to have great holidays and a very relax day.
Cons: At the breakfast time we were looking for a staff member to fry our eggs as it was saying on the sign. When we found the cook "Because she wasn't there" she told us she was having her breakfast at that time which was very strange! Customers first, Customers need breakfast! You can't go for breakfast when customers wake up early to have their breakfast! It was a hilarious comment :)
6.7 Good
Pros: Hotel is beautiful location brilliant. Some staff miserable others fantastic. The bad thing about this hotel is breakfast area they don’t accommodate for enough quest it’s it reception area there is not enough room for quest to eat. So tables don’t get cleaned you have to ask staff for plates badly organised breakfast is 8 till 10. Think if they put another hour on there would be more time for people to eat
Cons: Just the breakfast area

Cons: Great holiday destination...would recommend to anyone for a fun get away in Thailand
6.0 Good
Pros: The location, beach front, food, staff, and fire show

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location. Lovely beach
Cons: To many steps to room. No kettle or tea or coffee anywhere
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beach was ok but a fight every day to secure spot with chair
Cons: Very expensive was like a 5 star resort on the gold Coast in Australia for prices but a 2 star value room was terrible 200 Australian per nite and no room for us to move only to sleep food average but very expensive no coffee in room no shop was isolated
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach is very clean and not crowded. The staff is very friendly and directly brings a chair for children when coming with kids. The room was very clean. We completely enjoyed our stay there. There was a great fire show on the beach for New Year's eve.
Cons: The airconditioning went straight onto the bed. That was a bit too windy for us. It is best to contact the hotel in advance to get to know exactly when the ferrys go to that beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spot in paradise. Friendly and serviceminded Staff. Good food and drinks. Small and cozy Resort.

Cons: I would prefer more choices of your breakfast
6.7 Good
Pros: The location and the cabins
Cons: They decided to put us in a room for the first night when we actually booked and payed for a cabin. Luckily they moved us to a very nice cabin on the second day of our stay but not before having a pretty heated argument with a very rude front desk staff.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: We paid for a better room, not sure what we received, but looked nothing like the photos. The room was out the back and not near the beach. The room was basic and the bathroom, well what I say functional.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: View epic, restaurant food was great and staff very kind and helpful
Cons: There was nothing that over shadowed our stay ..... not every thing is perfect but maybe that’s the charm!!! The view out my window in the morning , I will not forget x
7.5 Good
Cons: The property was nice, the staff was nasty and rude.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall place was good and good location also
Cons: Need to focus on cleaning of rooms
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Didnt clean our clothes well
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from our room( family suite sea view). We can see the fire show from our room. The speed boat can pick you up nd drop you off near the hotel. Should buy the return ticket for speed boat.
Cons: The family suite should have 2 single beds in one of the bedroom.Sometime when you have teenagers staying with you, they want to have separate bed. The staff should be more attentive . A lot of rubbish as you walk in to the hotel facing the water.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Old and need renovation/ modification.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool and decks are awesome! The location is perfect for amazing sunsets every night. The little cabins are so charming.
Cons: Water pressure isn't great, but not terrible either
