7.5 Good
Pros: Wonderful modern building.
Cons: The location was awful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facility in every detail but the pillows were too soft for our liking. Location off the beaten track but off-set by the funicular which gave easy access to the Old Town which was as lively as we needed. A nice walk across the rivers to the modern shopping area's A wonderful restaurant adjoins the hotel for an exceptional dinner.
Cons: Soft pillows! Brillant beds though. Suggestion: A Nespresso Coffee machine in the room would have been nice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Welcome drink was a nice touch. Concierge was extremely helpful. Lovely large room that was quiet
Cons: Shower could be improved
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We needed to extend our trip by an additional night, so when we checked in the hotel upgraded us to a beautiful suite with a gorgeous view of Lyon. We could even see the snow covered Alps many miles away. We had a beautiful terrace as well. The European breakfast is really great too. If business brought us back to Lyon, we'd request the same room.
Cons: Like many hotels in Europe, this hotel doesn't have a top sheet on the bed. So in order to sleep covered you needed to use the comforter which I personally found this too warm. Just personal preference.

7.7 Good
Pros: The staff were all young and obliging very nice experience
Cons: The rooms were not very comfortable with only only place to relax really bring the bed but I guess that's what you call funky!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Lovely lounge area. We had room 502 and the view from balcony was amazing. Staff was helpful and always smiling. Room tidy and clean. It’s not a first time we staying in- and I would like to mention one thing- that really nice smell in all Okko hotels. It stays in your memories for a long time - really nice. And of course- snacks and coffee 24/7 - excellent benefit of the hotel.
4.0 Okay
Pros: There is no reason that Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette, should not be a decent hotel.
Cons: The management of Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette did not seem to take the health of their guests very seriously. I have allergies but a very poor sense of smell, so the first few days of my stay I was unable to pin down the bad smell in my room. On the third day when the smell got much, much worse and I started having problems with my allergies I realized it was mold. Mold could give me an asthma attack. The guy at the front desk tried to fix the problem but only made it worse. He was nice but informed me that in spite of my health concerns there was nothing more that he could do. They had no more rooms so I would have to spend the night there. They seemed to have no one on call that could fix serious problems, and no policy to deal with this type of issue. I contacted Hotel.com who tried to fix the problem but Okko never answered their calls. So in December I slept with the windows open. The next day they changed my room. I asked four times to speak to their manager to explain how series this could be as a problem and that they did not want to make someone seriously ill. I was there for three more days and was never contacted by anyone in management. It really did not seem like they took the health of their guest very seriously.
7.0 Good
Pros: 1.Great location at he hearth of the city. 2. Amazing staff, very supportive. 3. Great BB and late afternoon nibbles and drink included at no addditional charge.
Cons: Two key downsides: 1. Below average beds and pillows in urgent need of a serious upgrade. 2. Rooms sizes are uneven, some are way too small and others more descent size.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best thing about this hotel is The Club and the friendliness of the staff. Very good location too - a walking distance to everything. Free bottle of water in the room every day, refreshments dowstairs in the Club 24/7. Tasty breakfast and absolutely amazing cheese, snacks and a glass of wine in the evening.
Cons: Everything was great, nothing to complain about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free snacks, breakfast, endless soft drinks/water. The rooms were cozy as well with really comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is also very friendly. The manager saw our big suitcase and gave us a bigger room, so we could be comfortable. I thought that was really nice, and he always had a smile on his face!
Cons: The bathroom door was a little uncomfortable because it was heavy and wouldn't stay open, but that was a minor discomfort compared to everything else.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The central location, view of the Rhone River, nice room, great terrace, breakfast, and very professional and helpful staff.
Cons: strange perfume smell to the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Personnel is very professional Snacks and coffee included during the whole stay Very close to the historical center
Cons: Room is very small, bathroom as well Breakfast is more like a battle royal, fighting 1. For a place to sit 2. For a plate and knive 3. For food and drinks Breakfast offered is poor in variety and quantity...not interesting for families with small children No extra fee for small children

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, private parking Short and beautiful walk to old Lyon Beautiful building
Cons: Room decoration Restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a beautiful building with a well appointed bedroom and 24 hour reception. It has its own car park. The Spa has an outside heated pool with a steam room, light and experience shower (rainforest etc) and a Jacuzzi. Checkout is not until noon to give you chance to use the Spa. It is a short walk to the Funicular railway directly into the centre of Lyon for €1.90 return last return is 22:00 but I checked and an Uber would be €13 if you wanted to stay later. Lyon is a gorgeous city well worth a visit.
Cons: €17 for car park.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bedroom very spacious, comfortable bed, great powerful shower, restaurant was very good. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.
Cons: No kettle / coffee machine was present in the bedroom (this would be good, especially as there were no nearby Cafes/Pubs open late at night)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor, history, the staff where very accommodating and friendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing, the interiors and the building are remarkable and absolutely unique. The breakfast is very rich and tasty, the restaurant located in the hotel is also very good. For our next stay in Lyon we would definitely choose this hotel.
Cons: It would be great if there was a kettle and a coffee machine in the room. The WiFi was not stable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a maze formed by four ancient buildings--the bar dates to 1341!!!--and its location in the heart of Vieux Lyon was fantastic. It was such a pleasure to stay here! The property is beautifully maintained and stylish. Our room was great. The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever found. Truly! The staff deserves extra praise--helpful, cheerful, friendly, approachable, knowledgable, they were an exceptional team. Our meal at the one-star restaurant was a treat; the enthusiasm of the servers for the food and wine was infectious. It all exceeded expectation.
Cons: The first room offered us had the bathtub right in middle of the room rather than in a separate room. That was unacceptable to me; and they quickly and cheerfully found us another room when I protested. But if you decide to stay at Cour des Loges--and I highly recommend that you do!-- be warned!
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Value for money for the room, reception staff not welcoming and focused on guest satisfaction
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are fantastic, from front door to service. Breakfast was very good, and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: The only criticism that I have is that the lighting in the room was poor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: My room was so beautiful, very spacious (for Europe), loved the bath and view. The building was so old world French. The Concierge was particularly helpful with my transportation to Paris, after being made aware of a train strike on the Friday morning. Breakfast was also very good.
Cons: Nothing, everything was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was Exceptional Unreal Restaurant Romantic Great bar and Lounge English a non-issue (if you don't speak French) Very Comfortable
Cons: Room was a bit small and shower/tub was quirky but to be expected being used to American Hotels.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A great location and friendly staff, location in a lively neighborhood with plenty of options to eat, yet on a quite street
Cons: The value for the price is excellent, cannot fault anything
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall, our experience was pleasant! I loved the vibe of this place and all "flaws" that I mentioned do not cancel my overall feeling about the trip. There was a coffee/tea machine in the room, very stylish interior and the nicest service. Beds were comfortable, on the softer side. Hotel is close to Massena metro station (3 min walk at best) and located in very calm area, not noisy at all. 5 min distance from Park (with the zoo and botanical garden, free to walk around). There is a elevator, however, during our stay it was out of service. Breakfast was very simple yet delicious.
Cons: Unfortunately, no space to unpack your clothes, besides 3-4 hangers. There was a very intensive and "perfumey" scent after cleaning - sadly we both could not stand it, gladly we could open a window. Even without air condition air was very drying and harsh on your throat. There is no fridge in the room. Moreover, I do not recommend it for travelling with coworkers - door to the bathroom is made out of very thin glass which can make your stay a little awkward. In my opinion the room was too small for people that aren't couple or at least close friends.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel's decor is absolutely lovely! They had great coffee/tea facilities, in both the room and the lobby, which also afforded a nice view of the street. It was quiet and pleasant there in the evenings, so some of our party would head down for an hour or so to read while drinking coffee and people-watching through the big window. The staff were very helpful, warm and friendly. :) The hotel is very close to the train station Gare Part-Dieu and to a large Monoprix. To get to Vieux Lyon and Presqu'ile, you can walk for about twenty minutes or also take the metro a couple stops over.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The stuff gave special attention to my daughter which was lovely. We had a perfect eveneing thanks to their tips where to go and eat out with kids. We loved our stau!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is near to the train station and to the metro, but the place is really quiet. There are many nice restaurants and bars around. The room was clean and beautiful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and efficient
Cons: Very small room
6.7 Good
Cons: Nicely renovated rooms - very small and simple though! But the room price gave no reason. Far too expensive for a 3 star hotel - the price reflects normally 5 star hotels in London, Paris etc... Breakfast - No value for money - only few choices and very small restaurant, more crowded cafe style. Skip the hotel breakfast and walk for 2 minutes to cafes on the same street.

4.0 Okay
Pros: We liked the staff who were professional and very helpful.
Cons: Breakfast and the lack of facilities were poor. we had to find places to eat breakfast out which we found an inconvenience. Any Hotel purporting to be a 4-star location should have better facilities even the bar was an extension of the reception desk!! The rooms were very cramped and the entrance doors side by side which led to unavoidable noise when coming in late or leaving very early.Quite noisy really.

Pros: Location location location
Cons: No parking nearby
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast
Cons: Nothing
4.0 Okay

Pros: We love this hotel! It has really good vibes and the stuff was really nice. Our room was perfect for 1 or 2 Nights (for longer stay maybe it was not big enough and with no place to keep your stuff). The bed was comfortable and big. For us was everything perfect!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Design and functionality are great! Beds are super comfortable. Loved , loved, looooved that there were so many vegetarian options on the menu and the entertainment by the DJ. What a treat at exceptional value. We will be back, next time with the kids.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a very chilled vibe. The decor is really cute and the staff super friendly and helpful. It is not extremely centrally located but it is close to the Confluence museum and the tram will take you right into the center in about 15 mins. For some reason the tram and metro system was not showing up on google maps, so ask for a map at the reception, very easy.
Cons: There are no TVs in the rooms but maybe that's not such a bad thing. The wifi is very fast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A very different kind of hotel, run by young people in a friendly and helpful way. Most of the guests were pretty young, too. The hotel stands out by doing things in a different way and most of the time it all works very well. We adored it.
Cons: Very little and what we didn't like I'm not going to discuss in public. I've been in touch with the hotel management about it, and they're apparently taking action.

Cons: N/A
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious & well equipped
Cons: No air conditioning but we knew this & is a minor point
7.5 Good
Pros: Every thing else. Tastefully decorated, clean all needed facilities for a short stay. Bath is amazing.
Cons: The apartment is open to owners who are running and living on upper floor, so there is a privacy issue. Once you park the car in the underground parking you can't take it out before departure which restricts movement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an apartment in a building some distance out of the center, but right next to a metro station that brings you to Bellecour square in a couple of minutes, so location is convenient and yet quiet. The apartment itself is very fancy with a luxury spa tub, a nice terrace and large rooms. Lots of nice stuff like coffee machine and courtesy juice, water, sweets and pastries. Breakfast was also very nice, served on the rooftop terrace which you can reach from within the apartment by stairs. Owners were super nice and friendly. They speak enough English to explain everything that is needed, and are very helpful! Finally, very good value!
Cons: This apartment doesn’t have A/C. I stayed during an extreme heat wave (temps over 38C) and it was still fine, but if you are very sensitive to heat and plan to visit during summer, you would be aware. Most similar places in Lyon don’t have A/C ... (they do have heating).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay. Good location, 5 min away from metro. The rooms are clean. The owners are friendly and make you feel welcome. They are very helpful and can speak English. Excellent breakfast. Merci beaucoup.
Cons: -- a very minor thing: the bathroom water tap is a bit ... different. Is difficult to wash your hands under the water jet (probably was suppose to let the water in the sink and wash that way…but didn’t felt like doing that)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The couple that run this apartment rental are so kind and lovely. Our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving really late and they still gave us a warm welcome so we immediately felt at home. The apartment itself is beautiful, there is a jacuzzi and lovely terrace. The bed was comfortable, shower worked great, it was spotlessly clean. I really can't fault it at all. The location was great, even though it's outside the centre the metro is a two minute walk away. They provide lots of information about places to visit in Lyon. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. I would absolutely recommend you stay here, our only regret was we couldn't stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were friendly and willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The bed, the food and the service were incredible!
Cons: I think the airco was broken. We had changed the temperature once because it was too hot, but it didn't work. The night after we put it on 15° but the temperature didn't change at all.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and ease of access to city centre. Reception was only too helpful to fulfil any requests I had
Cons: The toilet was in a separate room to the shower. This is however just a very small criticism and my only issue.

Cons: Shower keep clogging
7.5 Good
Pros: Very convenient if you travel to/from airport, across the airport express stop. Close to the bus stop going to the centre. Reasonable for its price. Breakfast was fantastic.

Pros: We didn't get to stay in the room much, because we were there to see Lyon, but it was just fantastic. Actually now that I think of it, it was the nicest part of the trip. Very helpful friendly staff, very clean and elegant hotel, great bathroom, very comfortable. We chose the breakfast option which was very good buffet with good options for all. I greatly recommend

Pros: Superb small hotel. Unbeatable location. Charming, willing staff.
Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very well located. We had 2 adjoining rooms and we were welcomed warmly. Reception staff very helpful overall although one receptionist did not follow up on a dinner reservation request. Only drawback is that hotel has no restaurant and very small bar otherwise its a beautifully appointed abode which is elegant and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Starting with the communication with the hotel before the stay . Nicely decorated (You should see the elevator). Very clean room !! which is the most important issue for us. We also had a small balcony with a small table and chairs . Hotel Stuff is very nice, professional and helpful .Location is perfect! 8 min walk to the old city , and above the main street with shops and restaurants. I give it a 10!
Cons: lighting in room can be better.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We have returned to Hotel Carlton repeated over the past years. The location is superb with good shops and great restaurants within walking distance. Service is efficient and friendly. The breakfast buffet spread is good, with a lot of healthy choices.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, check-in, staying, dining and checking-out
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Stylish design ; great location ; perfect service ; friendly staff ; comfortable room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was first rate and the staff helpful (apart from the problem above) and friendly.
Cons: The one time I wanted room service - at approx 4pm - only 2 of the 8 items listed on the snack menu were available and neither of these were any good for me. The menu is supposedly available from noon till midnight. There was no satisfactory explanation. It was pouring with rain and very cold at the time, so nipping out for a snack wasn't a good idea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff and the location.
Cons: Nothing.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Central location, right across from the mai. Shopping mall and food locations. Look left and you can see the church on the hill. Rooms were clean (if a little small).

Pros: The location (overlooking the river and really in the center of the city) - extremely convenient
Cons: Not too much to dislike. Room was slightly smaller than what I would expect from a 5 star
7.5 Good
Pros: We booked a river suite and got an upgrade to an even bigger one with a big comfy bed and pillows Which we’re lovely on a cold Lyon night! The hotel is very old and tired but still has an elegance about it.
Cons: No English movie channel available

Cons: Rooms could do with updating. We were on the 5th floor and found the room a bit tired and dated.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel staff was great!
Cons: Run down, dirty room with worn furniture, mildew in shower. Not at all up to Sofitel standards
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding dinner at les trois domes. We made a special request for the room and received exactly what we requested.
Cons: The shower was the best we have ever had anywhere in Europe. But it was really really dark, no way to light it except one tiny light bulb. Thought this was strange for a hotel that is otherwise over the top.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! The room was nice and quiet, and also very clean. We appreciated that. The staff speaks very good English. All in all good value for the money.
Cons: The toilet in our room was a bit weird. We liked that it was separate from the bathroom, but it was behind the sliding door that seemed more like a paper door. Otherwise, everything else was great.
