7.9 Good
Pros: Staff friendly and very helpful. Quiet, beautiful rural location. Very secure.
Cons: It felt rather under-equipped and a little uncomfortable compared with other B&Bs we stayed at. Could do with some cushions, bigger softer towels, more lights for reading, more kitchen utensils.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed 2 nights with two rooms.Everything was fabulous. Great peaceful location in the countryside. Lovely private pool. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Room was spacious and clean and comfortable with all the facilities you could want including good aircon. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were so lovely and friendly and helpful. An absolute hidden gem. We will be back for a longer stay next time.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable. Wonderful views, close proximity to all stunning little towns in Puglia. Driving among such beautiful setting with lots of trullos was a bliss. We enjoyed 4 days at this marvelous B&B, had great food in Alberobello and felt well looked after by Giovanna, Vito and Pierro. Best hosts ever! Thank you! Grazie mille per tutto!
Cons: N/A
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is really great for trips. Great view. It was really quiet and the pool was lovely.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: To start with, we had a warm welcome at Red Rose. The B&B is small scale with three apartments facing a wide valley view, a beautiful well-sized swimming pool and a garden with hammocks. The Italian-speaking host wishes you a ‘buongiorno’ every morning. No worries, she speaks some English as well. We enjoyed the serenity, especially under the veranda in the evenings. Besides the tranquillity, beautiful towns like Alberobello, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Noci and Locorotondo are all reachable within 10-20 minutes by car. Also, seaside towns like Polignano a Mare and Monopoli are reachable within 40 minutes. I would recommend Red Rose to everyone who enjoys cute Italian towns and the good life!
Cons: In the smallest room, there could have been some more facility regarding the preparation of food and dishwashing.

Pros: Breakfast was great and plenty of it the pool was fantastic I was able to leave my luggage when I arrived early and also when I wanted to collect it later on my check out day I had my own key to the main gate and my bedroom so i could come and go as i wished
Cons: nothing, it was all great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautifully restored bed and breakfast. It was fun to stay in an historic trulli that had such a clean modern feel. Gorgeous landscaping and delicious breakfast!
Cons: Loved it all!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An oasis in a neighbourhood of apartment blocks. Very close to centro storico. A lovely warm welcome from the owner. The quality of breakfast was outstanding.
Cons: Lacked coffee making facilities in room. There is a fridge in the room so why not a couple of glasses? Assumption is you're going to use it to cool wine!
7.9 Good
Pros: Super friendly people, delicious breakfast, very neat room and facilities. Even a great pool area (although we didn't use it)
Cons: The location is fine geographically but the B&B is actually situated in a not so nice neighborhood. Which they cannot do anything about of course, but it was not really advertised this way i feel. Also Wi-fi didn't really work but it wasnt a problem for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room in the trulli was excellent and a great breakfast.
Cons: Maybe a kettle in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly family run property. Well maintained grounds. Good breakfast. About 10 min walk in centro storico. Parking not easy. No TV.
Cons: Nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely place , the property is in a residential area but as soon as you enter your own trulli it’s a step back in time. The owner and family are very friendly and make you feel at home. The breakfast is fantastic and the room is extremely clean. The pool is perfect for cooling off after a long day sightseeing Parking is safe on the street and it’s right beside the old town of Martina Franca . We would highly recommend this for your stay in the area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was stunning - from when you first drive in, surrounded by vineyards and Trulli’s. It was an authentic Italian experience.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very nice Masseria in the middle of the vineyards and very nice pool. Nice and big room with jacuzzi. Well located at 3km from Martina Franca.
Cons: Disappointing experience. In a nutshell, I paid the price of 5 stars hotel and get service of a 3 stars one. I didn’t get the room I booked (photos were different), hotel is really understaffed (a man is very nice but doing everything), no welcome and nobody at the lobby, very very limited breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very charming Masseria within the wine yard, comfortable trulli houses to sleep in, nice swimming pool and located in a fantastic area. A must see and stay !
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and our stay in the trullo was very comfortable and a wonderful experience.
Cons: We were disappointed that an evening meal was not being served. We purposely chose the property as it was our last night in Puglia and we would have preferred to stay on site. As it was we drove into Martina Franca to eat and couldn't park so had to return and take a taxi!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Being charged upon leaving when paid in full in January.Receptionist wouldn’t let us leave without paying again. This place is dirty and the receptionist has zero interest in doing anything for the guests. She Booked is a restaurant didn’t bother writing it down and had left by 6.30 so we had to find our own restaurant. We asked for a double bed but got 2 singles.Lunch we asked for a cheeseboard it didn’t arrive and after an hour of dirty plates left unattended we left.Would not recommend.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool and the room
Cons: Dinner buffet I would not recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, 10 minute drive to the city center but in a restful country setting
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Paola and the staff made us feel very welcome and helped in any way they could. Thank You. We really appreciated that. Our stay in the “ Marmole “ room in the main house was a mix between Little House on the Prairie and Downton Abbey. Lots of memorabilia. Breakfast was delicious , Especially the Austrian half moon cookies with jam inside. Pool area was beautiful and restful. The Honesty Hut is a fab idea too.
Cons: On our last visit a few years back the Owner had taken the time to seat people together on larger tables according to their language . This added to the experience and we met some lovely people from America and Norway ( who spoke excellent English) and we were looking forward to this experience again - Not just the food, but meeting other interesting people. He ( The Owner) entertained every one at the same time with stories and the provenance of the food we were about to eat. Sadly, for us, this seems to no longer happen . Although the lovely Lady who has taken his place did I a wonderful job giving information to each individual table. We appreciate that at the time there was only one 8 course menu available and now there are three options but still, our hearts sank a little . We felt a little like we were in a normal restaurant as usual. We appreciate things change and evolve over time . We still had A lovely evening and The food was, of course wonderfully cooked and prepared, just not with those extra memories. Thank You for your Hospitality Il Frantoio

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice classic italian hotel with a charme from the past decades. It is easy to park at the hotels private parking. They have a lovely little garden and a nice pool area. It is quiet Friendly staff It is not in the old town - but very close
Cons: The room was a little outdated. The balcony was not separated from the rooms next door
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice "business" hotel, maybe showing it's age a little, but with a nice room and good location. The room was very large, comfortable, and well equipped. The bathroom was also quite large with a very nice shower. Although there were not many people staying, they still offered a fairly large breakfast spread. The location is about a 5 minute walk to the historical center, but very quiet at night so we saw that as an advantage. There is also ample free parking.
Cons: No kettle in the room for early morning coffee. However we asked at the front desk and they provided us with one. Be advised there seems to be a street market near the hotel on Wednesday mornings, complete with a limited traffic zone and stalls blocking some streets. Accessing the hotel by car before 2 PM will require alternate directions.
7.5 Good
Pros: A typical hotel with with a modest bedroom and bathroom but with superior on-site parking and an excellent breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, ideally located to visit the region. Nice swimming pool and good breakfast.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptional . The meal in the evening was beautifully presented . We were particularly impressed with the sommelier and his welcome and advice !! The swimming pool area is relaxing and well maintained . Plenty of sun beds available
Cons: Too far out of town to walk but excellent location for touring martina Franca locoratando Cisternino etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful estate, tastefully appointed, elegantly decorated, great food, lovely outdoor spaces and pool
7.9 Good
Pros: The spa , the breakfast variety
Cons: The small room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was good - everything in my room worked and the breakfast was excellent. If you had a car this would be a great place to stay. I did not have time to use all the amenities. I see folks had complained about the pool being green. I believe that the green color of the pool is related to the tile color and not the water quality. I found the pool water clear and certainly clean and warm enough for me to swim in mid-May.
Cons: It is a 40 minute walk from the nearest town (Martina Franca) and so if you do not have a car it is a pretty long walk to the town. The sidewalks are non-existent for some of this distance and in pretty prro shape the rest of the distance. The traffic moving fast so you feel pretty exposed - especially at night. That said if you had a car it is a short (5 min) drive into town.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The mattress and pillows were far too hard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The service was absolutely impeccable. The restaurant served incredible food, and help was always on hand. The pool was beautiful and well kept, and the rooms were always cool and kept spotless.
Cons: There was a minor issue with some of the electrics - but I didn’t realise until late in my stay (lights, sky box, and jet bath did not work), but I’m sure if reported, would have been rectified very quickly. Noise at night was an issue a few times - seemed to be a generator running somewhere.
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast is quite good, they’re very welcoming and friendly. The service in general is great !
Cons: The difficulty to find the correct location, the air conditioning who wasn’t working correctly and the bed was not really a double one but two simple bed put together.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything really, staff was amazing, swimming pool was nice, big rooms, etc
Cons: Nothing to say here really.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Upgraded to junior suite at no extra cost. Lovely room.
Cons: No hot water one morning. Very few people eating in restaurant so no atmosphere
6.3 Good
Pros: The basic building and grounds are lovely - a beautiful pool in a breezy, shady grove. The staff are nice and do their best.
Cons: Firstly, the "Deluxe room" should not have been described as "Deluxe". It was small and dark: I've had more spacious rooms in three star hotels, and this is supposed to be five star. We paid to upgrade to the noticeably more expensive next level up, which was at the other end of the scale - very spacious indeed. Secondly, the hotel shows all the signs of poor management with lack of attention to detail, with lots of little things which are individually trivial but add up: a light not working in the room, reception left unmanned, no toilet near the pool, unadventurous menus for a hotel in a region with so much local food culture, and several more. Better managed, the place would justify its price tag. As it is, it doesn't. By the way, booking.com's GPS co-ordinates are correct, but the address gets you to the wrong place on Google Maps. So it's outside the main bit of Martina Franca, not on the edge of it as the address would have you believe.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel at the edge of Martina Franca. Staff was helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautiful. Both lunch and breakfast were quite good
Cons: Not located near anything.

Masseria Sant'Elia - Martina Franca - Building
10
7.9 Good (85 reviews)
S$ 191+
Overview Reviews
Masseria Sant'Elia is a historic property, actually a former convent, set in the Itria Valley 5 minutes' drive from Martina Franca. It offers characteristic rooms with stone walls and floors. Sant'Elia has its own chapel and features a number of Trulli, stone dwellings that are typical of the Puglia region. All rooms are air conditioned and feature a TV, minibar and beautiful view of the garden. Some have a balcony or patio. A sweet Italian breakfast is served each morning. Drinks are available from the bar and you also have a reading room and TV lounge on the ground floor. The Masseria's hilltop location guarantees beautiful views across the Puglia countryside. The oldest areas of the property date back to 1568, but Sant'Elia has had a long and interesting history since then. You have free parking on site and are 20 minutes' drive from the town of Fasano and its famous zoo. The White City of Ostuni is 40 minutes' drive away, as are the nearest beaches.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is an excellent place for holiday in summer. We had rain and snow. The staff was very friendly. The location is not easy to be find, with coordinates only. Nice view!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful house situated a few miles outside of Martina Franca. A good location from which to visit the trulli region. There is a lovely pool area, but the furniture is a bit tired. Breakfast was very good
Cons: Unfortunately there was no information regarding the opening times of the restaurant and it was closed when we stayed, which was a little disappointing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful place in quiet countryside with all the facilities you need for a short or long stay
Cons: Apple maps, Google maps and our car satnav failed to direct us there! We found it thanks to Maria who ran around in her Ford KA looking for us. BIG TIP for Puglia search for property before you get there and drop a flag so you get directed to the flag.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a fabulous dinner there....and I mean fabulous. The hostess was wonderful and the lodgings and estate beautiful. Breakfast was good, too.
Cons: The mini fridge was not clean. But everything else was perfect.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is great with fabulous views and the masseria buildings are very interesting and beautiful. Our room was nice, with an interesting barrel-shaped stone ceiling and modern bathroom. The pool area is lovely, with lots of recliners and set in a nice garden, and there are fabulous views from the pool.
Cons: The place is hard to find but we'd checked carefully beforehand and knew how to get there, so that went ok. Despite having booked several months ahead and having said we'd arrive after dark, the lights on the narrow approach lane hadn't been turned on so it wasn't very welcoming. The most disappointing thing was that the restaurant was closed - one of the reasons for booking there was because we'd had the place and the food recommended. I had emailed to book dinner on our first night and they told me it was closed, but it wasn't clear if it was just that day. By the weekend there were about a dozen guests but the restaurant was still closed. They didn't offer any advice on where to eat, and we had to drive into one of the nearest towns (hair-raising in the dark!) for dinner. Parking in Martina Franca was a nightmare so my husband's birthday dinner was not quite as we planned it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful - lovely room with lots of character. Very clean & comfortable. Fridge with water provided. Plenty of soft white towels. We were group of 3 adults and room was perfect. Garden and buildings all very pretty. Staff very helpful but be patient as English is limited. Nice breakfast but better to arrive early to have full choice - breakfast is only from 8.30 to 9.30. Beers, coffee, prosecco and juice available during the day and can be enjoyed in the lounge area, outside, in your room or as we did, taken down to the poolside - bar is unmanned so you need to track down a member of staff ( not hard to do). short drive from Locortondo and Martina Franca - both charming and quite different from each other - good choice of cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Pool is very small but fine for a day or two,. There were sufficient comfortable chairs and loungers and shade from tasteful parasols and beautiful old trees. Guests mainly Italian with young children when we stayed for 2 nights July 18. Weather gorgeous but pool a bit chilly. For a cheap alternative lunch, we bought delicious roast tomato and black olive carry out focaccia from a cafe in Martina Franca - it was carefully wrapped for us and cost just 4 euro for 3 big slices. We ate it as a picnic back at the poolside under an olive tree with beers from the Masseria - perfect!
Cons: - We were unsure about whether you could dine there in the evening. We asked but because of the language barrier, weren't sure. The Italian guests were dining but we think they may have been a wedding party. Driving to Marina Franca was not a problem but it meant my husband could not have alcohol and free parking was tricky - we took a blue line space and paid the 1.5 euro an hour at the meter. The property is not in walking distance to bars/restaurants but we knew this in advance. - A bigger pool would have been nice but for 2 nights we didn't mind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful property on a hill outside Martina Franca. The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: I enjoyed the supper out in the open with that typical look of the zone and the evening lights. The food was very good too, and the property is nice! The breakfast offered is good, but not rich in variety, but good in quality. The room we had was pretty and particular.
Cons: I didn’t like finding the pool full of bugs because it hadn’t been cleaned, and that I had to ask them to clean it.. I think that this is something that should get done before the hours when people use it. Silly details like a burnt out light in the room, soap dispenser and cleanex dispenser left empty which has no sense. One of the things that I didn’t appreciate is the fact that even if there is a checkout out, they are a bit pushy inviting you continuously to leave. Letting you know that you he earlier you leave the better.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: very clean and nice staff
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Large free parking
Cons: Cigarette smell came in through the air vent especially in the bathroom. The restaurant next door gets very noisy in the weekends.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was adequate but a little stark
Cons: The hotel was further from the own centre than I thought. This did not really suit my purposes although the hotel itself was ok.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: The hotel is located 2 miles out of town and it is also located next to a disco which goes on until 2 am so no sleep for the 2 days we stayed no apology just charged us and goodbye , this Is the last time I will book with booking.com wasted €140
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The room was very very hot!
7.1 Good
Cons: Not in the centre. You definately need a car.
6.0 Good
Pros: The place was clean and well ordered and the staff welcoming and helpful
Cons: Breakfast was poor. Some food which was not used on the day was brought out the next day. Cereal choice very limited. Even ran out of butter and bread. Croissants over heated and dry. Boiling water not hot enough for tea. More fresh fruit would have improved matters. Noisy at weekends as a result of functions in the adjacent building which went on until the early hours The main disadvantage was the location and this could be booking.coms fault because we were led to believe that it was a short walk to local restaurants and it was at least 1.5 miles along a busy road with no footpaths in places. The booking .com app shows the hotel at least a mile closer to Martina franca than it actually is

Pros: Very friendly owners who made us feel really welcome and almost part of their family. Fantastic breakfasts, all freshly prepared and largely using their own produce. comfortable room and loads of outside space including lovely swimming pool warmed almost all day by the sun.
Cons: Apart from a small fridge there was no facility for storing or preparing food. Having said that, the breakfast provided is so extensive that there was little call for any more food before the evening!
7.7 Good
Pros: Anna and Crescenzio are lovely hosts, dedicated to service and ensuring the guests enjoy their stay. We were very sad to leave after a week at the Masseria. It was very relaxed and our 2 year old felt comfortable and there was plenty to do.

Cons: everything was very fine

Pros: Pool and the room
Cons: Dinner buffet I would not recommend
