10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was absolutely stunning, the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb and our evening meal was one of the best meals we have ever had. Breakfast was also fantastic with a large selection of pastries and fruit. The location of the hotel is perfect with everything just a short stroll away which was exactly what we wanted.
Cons: Nothing all excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truely a leading and amazingly beautiful hotel: + exceptionally friendly staff everywhere + beautiful design from the lobby, via the bar and in the rooms + the historic building has been newly renovated and just reopened 2 months ago, but kept the historic elevator + the SPA has the most friendly staff creating a beautiful quiet and relaxing atmosphere + features a quiet inner courtyard and outdoor pool in the middle of the city + Wifi is fast and the TV has Chromecast allowing you to use it as a display for your own devicesp

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel in excellent location, easily accessible to the city centre as well as the combined train/bus stations. Friendly, helpful owners. Comfortable room with small balcony, table and chairs overlooking the street.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant breakfast room. A very good selection of food for breakfast. Owners/staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful and room was very clean and pleasant, with everything working as it should do. No restaurant for evening meal (as we were aware in advance) but local restaurants were all within walking distance (for us, anyway) and generally provided good meals.
Cons: Regarding beverages in our room, 'breakfast' tea bags in short supply (no problem at all with replenishment if we asked). Also we would have appreciated larger mugs. However, this seems a universal issue in hotels, including in the UK.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very helpful proprietor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality was warm and welcoming. What a lovely and intimate little hotel. I went on my own and met up with friends who were equally ‘at home’ there. Just what we all needed. Bravo
6.7 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed Agreeable host
Cons: Need for some refurbishment Difficult garage
7.9 Good
Pros: Typical southern little hotel, mirroring the state of the town of Nîmes. For 1 night it is OK, the right value for the money. The place was quiet.
Cons: The breakfast at Eur 9.- overpriced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location. Easy walk from train/bus station. Friendly, helpful owners and reception staff who are very happy to assist with information. Lots of recommended restaurants by the owners nearby. You can walk to all areas of interest. A quiet little hotel that has a lift which is a bonus in France. Good wifi, best hot shower, kettle for tea and coffee and a small fridge. Large comfy bed. Room size fine. Breaky available onsite if you choose. Would highly recommend. Thankyou Andrew and Karen for a great stay.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Next to the Arena and walking distance to train station.
Cons: Some street noise at night
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and a large, pretty room, with a nice bathroom. Helpful welcoming staff
Cons: I have trouble climbing stairs, so lack of an elevator was s challenge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a little disappointing. Perhaps because we were usually the last to arrive we had to ask for extra supplies which was a bit embarrassing.
Cons: Not a lot and the pluses out did the minuses. Finding our way to the hotel by car was very difficult.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location right hear Aphitheatre; and close to train station
Cons: No elevator
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely provincial hotel full of character, right in the centre of town. Friendly welcome and proper pots of tea and coffee at breakfast.
Cons: No lift
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: No lift, but that was not a problem for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located within 100 metres of the arena and a stones throw from local shops and restaurants i thought this budget hotel was a winner. Its also within walking distance of the railway station. My room was basic but spotless. The linen was of very good quality and the bed was really comfortable so i felt like i was sleeping somewhere of a decent standard. My bags were carried upstairs for me by the owner as well. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: English speaking staff welcoming and helpful. Large and comfortable room (#8) overlooking Place du Marche with ample flat space and actual arm chairs. Comfortable bed. The building is old and interior shows its age, but altogether it adds to the character and charm of this perfectly located (10 minute walk from Gare, two minutes from Amphitheater and minutes from restaurants) hotel in Nimes. Large clean bath (by European standards) with roomy shower. Perfect location for exploring the old city.
Cons: No lift. No English language TV channels. Odd shower control right handle starts water with and left starts and adjusts hot water, which takes a while to appear. Management needs to add a small shelf in shower for soap and shampoo. Need larger bath mat. Power cord on kettle too short--had to move it around to operate safely. We bring a 3-way 22V adapter bought on an earlier European trip and a short extension cord brought from home to deal with outlet limitations and awkward outlet placement typical of European hotels).
Le Pré Galoffre - Nimes - Building
5
8.5 Excellent (843 reviews)
S$ 152+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Le Pré Galoffre in Nîmes (Costières), you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Nîmes Museum of Natural History and Prehistory and Costieres Stadium. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nicely renovated old building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast looked tasty but didn’t have it ourselves.
Cons: Located near heavily trafficked roads, not really in the countryside but also not near Nîmes center.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely setting, set back off a busy road with lots of trees for shady parking. Staff were very sweet and helpful. 2 swimming pools, rooms were quiet, bed linen was lovely. Tiny mini bars in rooms allow for storage of bottled water. Decor is cool, and restful. The 15-20 minute drive into "old" Nimes was straightforward.
Cons: Finding the place wasn't easy. Car navigation system could have used some coordinates. And the signs for the property actually read Mas Le Pré Galoffre (not Hotel - a tiny point, but when you're hunting in a foreign country the fine details matter!) Save your money on the breakfast - the overall selection was very poor (and swarming with flies) and at EUR 13 per person, you'd be better off to find a coffee shop for fresh fruit juice (rather than carton), fresh pastries and properly ripened fruit. The fine print for the booking reveals a surcharge for pets - its EUR 15 per animal per night (!) which quickly bumps up the overall cost of your stay. If you have a lot of luggage, be mindful you'll be carrying it about 100m over a heavily pebbled drive - you won't want to break your suitcase wheels on that! The glass shower screen is tiny - so be prepared for some gymnastics to shower without flooding the floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely charming. It’s location not far from the auto routes was ideal for our over night stay. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. Great breakfast. Bathroom was a bit tired and could do with some renovations.
Cons: The charge for the dogs was a bit high. At the end of the stay the cost of the breakfast plus the dogs was more then the cost of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and the hotel was in a very nice location. We chose it because it was dog friendly and had their own parking. We did not get to try the restaurant as it was already fully booked. We ate at the hotel immediately next door which was so-so but it was very late when we arrived and we needed to eat!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent friendly staff and service. Good food both breakfast and dinner.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting, close to Nimes, pleasant surroundings, quiet, relaxed, nice and comfortable rooms with small fridge. We were given two rooms at the price of a family one as they were out of family rooms.
Cons: We were greeted quite unpersonally and without information (wifi, breakfast) and that always makes you feel less welcome even if this is a nice hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: nothing
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Likely to make up for the hotel's shortcomings.
Cons: Tiny, cheaply finished rooms. Rooms stripped of basics (soap/waste bins). Feels like a cheap motel. 20-minute drive from Nîmes proper. Pool tiny and dirty. Understaffed. Food service on a porch only. For those whose prime concern is cost; no joy otherwise.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good but very crowded. Nice Hotel.
Cons: We went out a night for a walk and there were a lot of young people out being quite rowdy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a superb location for rail travellers, just across a square from the station. It was comfortable, clean and to the standards you expect from this brand and represented excellent value for money for the advance payment price. Staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast buffet was well presented with a wide choice of items available,
Cons: No issues and no negatives
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were excellent
Cons: Hard to find- very basic room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast at this hotel was great - more than enough options. Selection of hot and cold foods was appreciated. Coffee machine worked great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to the train station and had easy parking at its own underground garage. The Amphitheatre is less than ten minutes walking from the hotel. Breakfast was basic but good! Room was clean.
Cons: Nothing.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Styles for 3 nights in December. We thought it was great. The hotel is right behind the train station, which was great for us, as we were using the train for transport. A short walk through the train station and diwn a picturesque walkway got us right to the middle if the old town. The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations for meals. Breakfast was included and snacks were available all day and also included in the rate. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The rooms are great! The only negative is they they are a bit small and a little dark. But, the space is used very well and it was perfect for what we wanted to do. Great value for the money!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like that is in a great location for everything. Restaurants are close train is also close. Tourists spots walking distance. The hotel great amazing staff as well.
ibis budget Nîmes Centre Gare - Nimes - Building

8.2 Excellent (3,317 reviews)
S$ 77+
Overview Reviews
Located in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw from the train station and the old town, the Hotel ibis budget Nîmes Centre Gare boasts modern architecture and 55 cocoon rooms. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a shower and free and unlimited WIFI. Enjoy this inviting, bright, friendly and original setting.
7.7 Good
Pros: Location, opposite the railway and bus station. Cheap rates. Not a lot of services, but is good enough Relatively comfortable room
Cons: In comparison to other ibis budget, I missed a microwave for public use. Very, very slow water drainage in shower. Some nights, shower was more an alternance of hot and cold water than a mix. Internal building sounds, like doors closing, were more a problem than external soundproofing, for me well blocked by the window.
7.5 Good
Pros: The size of the room was great. Having an English speaking staff member on hand was a big relief. It was a bonus having pieces of fresh fruit in a bowl at breakfast.
Cons: The different shaped tables in the dining area made it awkward to get to a seat, especially if people where already seated.. The room was needing a bit more attention in the shower to be completely clean. A proper single lounge chair rather than a stool to sit on in the room would make it way more comfortable..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: good and great customer service.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We got what we expected from an Ibis Budget: a clean, simple, quiet, and comfortable place to stay for a night. Plus, a panoramic view of the city and the railway station from our room, friendly staff at the reception, and free luggage storage (at Ibis Styles next door) until our train left in the early afternoon.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great little place and excellent value. Fantastic location. Found the staff extremely friendly and helpful! Rooms were comfy, good showers and wash facilities.
Cons: No coffee making facilities.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, fancy light-switches, location near the train station.

With its romantic patio, its historic staircase and antique ceilings, the Best Western Le Marquis de La Baume is the ideal starting point for visiting Nimes and the Gard. This 4 Star hotel is actually very close to the many sites and listed monuments of the city that have witnessed 2000 years of history.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 13th century building, history under your feet, and yet gorgeous bedding, top notch bathroom :) secured parking 3 mn away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I’ve been traveling for 3 months, and this was one of my best experiences
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location. Very conveneient and yet quiet.
Cons: The is NO internet acces in the rooms. It is clear this has been a problem for many other visitors. And the heating is poor and noisy.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was close to the center of town.
Cons: Parking not close
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Apart from issues with parking being offsite and wifi not working, the hotel and facilities are excellent, beautiful building, extremely helpful staff, great breakfast and awesome location. Very nicely curated rooms too.
Cons: Parking is offsite, difficult to find, and 15.80 per day. The wifi is woeful/ mostly doesn't work, i feel the property should not advertise as having parking and wifi facilities unless they are on site and work.
5.4 Okay
Pros: No Wifi Now, actually they have one; However, to get logged in is technically almost inpossible. Once logged in, it does not work at all. They blame it on the walls, which is an easy excuse in 2019, isn‘t it.....

Cons: The Picasso logos were a nice touch.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Good gym
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness and staff friendliness
7.9 Good
Cons: Very creaky door on the room
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast good quality real fresh orange juice especially nice and young chef and waiting stafff very friendly and efficient
Cons: Everything else- rude front desk staff, no double bed as promised and no apology or attempt to rectify, uncomfortable bed, several items in bathroom broken or damaged, room service food very poor as extremely over cooked
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff (most of the time)
Cons: 1. No lift working to the pool which meant walking across a road in a towelling dressing gown- to the amusement of people in reception. 2. No towels left at the pool by 19.00hours. 3. 30 minutes wait for an omelette to be cooked at breakfast was unacceptable-the explanation that ‘all the staff are students’ was ridiculous. All in all poor value for money. A hotel at this price should be able to do a lot better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Initial check in. Front of house we’re dealing with our check in and another was clearly dealing with a complaint but our member of staff seemed to leave us and deal with the other problem. Not good customer service. However it was excellent in your restaurants.

We are just one kilometer from downtown, Roman monuments, Carre D'Art, Vieux Nimes and Jardin De La Fontaine. Enjoy your stay.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was only a 15 min walk (even for a tired 4yr old) to the center/train station but felt more like a small tucked away hotel you might find on a hillside somewhere. The courtyard/pool is stunning, with a really nice space for eating outside as well. The wind in Nîmes meant it never got too hot, but also meant the water in the pool was very very cold. The train to the beach at Grau du Roi (where the water is a bit warmer) took less than an hour and was only €1 each way. Great boulangerie across the street, plus a Carrefour just around the corner. The friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff really sets this hotel apart. I travel extensively for work and can only think of one other hotel with staff so helpful, and that was after staying at that hotel for a month, not just the few days I spent at L'Orangerie.
Cons: We stayed in two different rooms. The first was more expensive but a bit more shabby. Its shower room really needed updating. The next room we had booked was much more cheerful and fresh, and the bathroom was fine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Balcony, air conditioning, separate wc
Cons: WIFI mostly wouldn't connect in room and if it did - dropped out immediately.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access when arriving by car, about 20 minutes walk to town centre. Plenty of on site parking. Very comfortable bed. Staff helpful. Several nearby restaurants - particularly recommend Asian buffet restaurant.
Cons: Swinging side panel on over bath shower did not fit correctly and it was impossible to shower without getting bathroom floor wet. Breakfast buffet normally good but on one morning all pastries seemed to be stale. TV channel numbers quoted for foreign language channels in bedroom information book were totally incorrect - we never did find BBC!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic, and really looked after us. Thanks
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Its amazing hotell, beautiful room, staff perfect ONLY its happen i eat breakfasts one morning, its not much Its lest then basick breakfasts ,and i found my coffee cup chipped, and juic glass chipped to ..
5.0 Okay
Pros: Not a lot.
Cons: The Breakfast is just far too expensive for what you get - coffee and a slice of toast - 13.50 euros.

Pros: Bathroom perfectly functional but needs modernising
Cons: Bathroom
9.2 Excellent
Pros: no breakfast as we left early
Cons: the shower
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant central location in a characterful but dated building
Cons: Carrying the luggage upstairs as no lift
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent - right next to Maison carrée and Carré d’art and easy walk to Roman Arena and Beaux-arts museum and much more. Hotel in old building has much quirky style of it’s own. Despite age of building it is kept scrupulously clean. Good breakfast in quirkily decorated but intriguing conservatory looking out onto Arras Square Friendly helpful staff - really seemed to want to explain things. Good breakfast.
Cons: Some difficulties with finding entrance to underground parking which is right next to hotel. Parked in another park with same management and cost €21 overnight. Sounds of water passing through pipes, perhaps toilet flushes heard all night. Not loud but enough to be annoying. Think we should have shut corridor door to piping system that was opposite our room to perhaps lessen this. Restaurant unfortunately not open due to preparations for September Nîmes Ferias. Some untidiness and disruption in entranceway because of this too.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel for my trip to Nîmes. Myself and friend had a family room in this cool and quirky hotel which was perfect. We basically had our own bedroom and a bathroom each in this spacious room so was perfect for getting ready to go out. There is also a really nice bar attached to the hotel so perfect for evening drinks and nibbles.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location and excellent suite. Very spacious and good hotel bar
Cons: The bathroom could’ve been a little better.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is perfect. A very unfriendly staff member night time managed to destroy otherwise a decent hotel stay-
Cons: As I said one of the staff was hostile. The rest of the staff were great and very friendly. Maybe they wanted to compensate this person`s bad behaviour.

Pros: friendly welcoming staff. very good breakfast. Nice pool, open already at 8:30 am. Unfortunately arrived too late to eat in the restaurant, but was directed to a burger restaurant across the road which gave 15% discount for Ibis customers. Ok so this is "only" an Ibis hotel... usual simple clean quiet room with a good matress and no frills.. but I felt this was a class above the usual Ibis hotel. Well done!!
5.8 Okay
Pros: breakfast busy and not very close to airport
Cons: meals

Pros: Central location
Cons: Room overlooked the roof which had a spotlight aimed at window

Nice simple room, very quiet, comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast with fresh orange juice which you can squeeze yourself. Good location in Nimes. Free parking. Swimming pool on site, but was a bit too chilly to use when we were there in October..
Cons: No tea making facilities in the room

Pros: Location, room, cleanliness, staff
Cons: The breakfast was a little bit poor and at 9 o'clock many things were missing and we had to ask for them and I am sure that I even did not know all that was missing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in Nimes. About 5 minutes walk to the TGV station and centrally located near the Arena and other attractions. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Self service coin laundry available on site.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large parking nearby is a great bonus.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was wonderful, fabulous entrance hall as well! Nice rooms, tasteful.
Cons: Didn't find the bed super comfy - and the drains were blocked in the bathroom!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I was very impressed by the apartment suite as the facility is excellent -the kitchen has sink, stove/oven, dishes and pots, even a dish washer. The staff at front desk are helpful. The location is excellent, 1 min away from amphitheater and 5min from the train station or main bus station gare routière.
Cons: It can be a little noisy at night with sounds from street traffic or next door's TV. Given that window doesn't open I think there should be better sound proofing. Bathtub is cleaner than most hotels but it needs more scrubbing before I can feel comfortable taking a bath.

Pros: Great location close to the station and the Town centre. Lovely hotel with modern furnishings and friendly staff. Good wifi - I would definitely stay here again if I were in Nîmes.
Cons: Everything was great. There is no lift but this was made clear in the hotel information when booking.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, great value. Near the train station. Everything we needed for a one night stay. The staff provided good restaurant advice. The staff spoke English well.
Cons: The room was a bit small but good value for the money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Personel was very nice and helpful, rooms comfortable and really clean! Coffee and tea in the room was a nice surprise :) I can't say anything bad about this place :)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place near Nimes Arena and the Old Town. Three hundred meters nice walk in a beautiful alley and you reach to the Old Town. The owner was very polite and helpful.
Cons: The very small shower room and the WC. The room was not bad, but we had to be very flexible in order to deal with a big baggage and three smaller. There was no closet, only shelves in open boxes with limited space in. We had to spend two nights in there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in room 200. Great location, recently renovated, clean, good courtyard although very plain, TV worked well (almost all stations are in French). Small room but adequate (our friends room 304 was larger). Twin beds were comfortable. Quiet for a city location if you kept the window closed. Other than the coffee (which was good), did not have breakfast at the hotel so no comment on that.
Cons: This is an old property which we knew had no elevator but two flights of stairs (remember in Europe that the first floor is one flight up) were tiresome after a long day in town. No phone in our room although advertised as having one. Staff tried to install one from another room but line is bad feeding the room so still didn’t have phone service. May not be an issue for people with mobile phones but our friends didn’t have mobiles so had to trudge to their room to contact them. Shower floor is very slippery when wet. We put down a hand towel which really helped but now you have a soggy towel to deal with. Wi-fi was very marginal in the room. Hit or miss connection. No storage in the room except an open closet with an upper shelf (our friends room 304 didn’t have even the small closet). A chest of drawers would be nice.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location and staff, unfortunately they were missing some cleaning staff and in the process of upgrading.
Cons: Our friends did not have a phone in their room, and could not get one.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very modern in an historic building. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The building was convenient to the rail station and all of the historic sites.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was a revelation. Quite small and tall, with no lift but so central. The staff were superb, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were able in a large public underground car park about 200 yards from the hotel. The rooms although not huge were a good size with a super en-suite, breakfast was served beside the reception area on the ground floor and the buffet was great with plenty of choice. The hotel is right in the centre of the city and most places were within 15 minutes walk. The roman remains are spectacular and have to be visited, but this is not to take anything away from one of the nicest cities we have been to. We were only 45 minutes from the Camargue and the Med. About an hour from Arles , Avignon and a bit further from Alba La Romain ( This is a must visit as is the Pont Du Gard). The receptionist recommended a small restaurant about 40 metres from the hotel called 'Les Folies Boucheres'. We can highly recommend this restaurant as well, in fact JUST GO!! All in all a terrific holiday destination which we have earmarked to visit again and to stay once again at the Central Hotel.
Cons: For older people with an infirmity there is no lift but apart from that everything from our point of view was AAAA++++++
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff in a good location within easy reach of amenities and places of interest. A good breakfast with plenty of choice including olives and sun blushed tomatoes.
Cons: I cannot think of anything that I was unhappy about - perhaps the room was a little narrow and short of space but it was suitable for one person for a few days.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location ... everything easily reached on foot. The breakfast was adequate, but far from memorable. The front desk staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Nothing in particular comes to mind.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nice bed
Cons: Location in the mist of a labyrinth of one way streets.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and friendly staff - good shower
Cons: No elevator and we were on the 3rd floor will read small print in future
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location right in the centre of town. Very small and simple room but nicely furnished and amazing value for money. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Secure underground parking 100m away in the square. Receptionist recommended an excellent restaurant 50m away.
Cons: The staircase is narrow and steep, which is not ideal when you have heavy bags and are on the third floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendly staff.
Cons: No lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception people were really helpful and charming. It’s possible to use a public parking with a great discount. Excellent experience!!
