Midway between Saint-Germain-des-Pres's church and the «Ecole des Beaux-Arts» in the heart of the artistic Paris, La Villa combines all the charm of a discrete and refined hotel, the elegance of the grandest palace with the conforts of home.
Very nice. Bar area is lovely for an afternoon cocktail. Breakfasts are very adequate. I think I would rate this a three star, rather than four star, hotel just because of room and hotel sizes. I chose it primarily because it provided a king size bed, which was very comfortable. Also, Internet was wonky. You had to re-apply and get back on every 24 hours, which was a hassle. Mini bar needs more snacks.Pros: Staff was great; they made several dinner reservations for us; room was decorated beautifully, as well as the hotel itself. Location was fabulous--right in the. Idle of everything on the left bank and near St. Germaine metro.Cons: Bathroom: in an effort to conserve water (I guess) there is no shower head, but rather, a wand at waist level. I had a hard time washing hair and resorted to taking baths, even though I'm not a bath taker.! Also, better blow dryers need to be provided.
Pros: Friendly accomodating staff. Thank you .
