Pros: I stay in sacramento a lot and had always wanted to try this. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I had dinner at the Bar and their complimentary breakfast, both were good. I also slept well. I would stay here again if I were to bring my son on a business trip, as I know he would enjoy the boat. Other than that, I would prefer a normal hotel in the future.

Pros: This is my second overnight stay on the Delta King. Love the atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, the price is right, and I've always slept well on the water. Fifteen years ago my family celebrated our son's eighteenth birthday with an evening at a Delta King Murder Mystery dinner.

Pros: The photo on hotel.com was not the room I received at all. The room was extremely small and a full sized bed, not a queen. Overall it was quaint, adorable, and perfect for me. If it had been a night with my husband, I'm not sure we would fit.

Pros: I chose the Delta King because of its unique charm. I loved that it was in Old Sacramento which has cute stores, cobblestone streets, and old west buildings. As I crossed the cobblestone street and wooden platform railroad tracks to get to the boat I felt like I was going back in time. I was so excited because I love things that are off the beaten path. I loved all the charming details from the lamps to the faucet knobs, everything was antique.

I was appreciative that they advocated for a smoke-free environment and expressed my gratitude to staff. But as I walked to my room with my wife and infant son, I passed a member of the staff smoking. We then entered an elevator that reeked like smoke so badly that I wanted to vomit. Than passed 2 guests smoking in front of their rooms. We entered our room to find the room was signed off by housekeeping as “clean” but found a ton of loose tobacco spread all over 1 of the beds.
Very disappointed and will definitely not stay at this La Quinta again.

Pros: The warm cookie at check in is a nice touch. Overall everyone was really nice and helpful and my room was very clean. I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and the close proximity to the Arden mall. I found it's best to leave your car parked at the hotel and walk over to the mall.

Pros: Thought I'd save some money. I did and sacrificed it to any comfort. The pillows were dead. Cigarette holes in the sheets. No place in the bathroom to put anything.
If you just want a place to crash and nothing else, this will do. If you want any kind of comfort, this isn't the place.

Pros: I like the coupon that i used to book this place thats about it $50 off... 1st my non smoking room that i didnt request stunk of cigarettes and so did the whole floor that was non smoking... 2nd the free wifi doesnt reach the 3rd floor and when you do get the signal you cant even make it thru a full episodr on Netflix without it stopping every 2 minutes (horrible speeds)...3rd theres no elevator so be ready to haul your stuff up stairs...4th i couldnt sleep so i went to grab a snack from the vending machine but i could leave the third floor because there were homeless people blocking both exits by sleeping up against the doors... Had to wake them just to go down.... When i went down i told the guy at the desk about what i saw and he says " i wish you told me earlier so i coukd have gotten rid of them" to which i replied " im telling you rite now they are still there, do something about it".... I went back up to my room after asking the homeless to move only to find out my keycard no longer worked so back downstairs after again telling the homeless to move... The guy tells me room 330 doesnt... But its clearly on the door and written on my card holder by the girl that checked me in... After 5 minutes and convincing him i was me ( no id on me ) he gave me new keys... Back up the stairs to ask the people to move again... Finally went to bed and woke up early for the breakfast... Last comolaint i promise.... The breakfast they have is TOAST, NASTY FROZEN WAFFLES, TINY CUPS OF YOGURT, AND CEREAL WITH NO MILK..... im never going back ive been to way better places in Sacramento for much cheaper than this place... West capital ave all day.... I lied im not done yet they finally kicked out the homeless at 10 am... The overnite guy didnt bother after i told him.. the housekeeping staff were the ones that finally did something about it.... If u do want breakfast you must go before 9:30 they make sure no ones up early enough to eat
