10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am not sure if I liked better the quiet location of the place, the beauty of the vegetation, the attention to details or the hospitality. A great getaway: close to the coast and many lovely places to visit, but far away from the noise and visual pollution of a tourist location. Might be that the breakfast was my favorite part: all home made and delicious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of very nice touches. As soon as we arrived some fresh cold lemon water water was brought to our room as well as a vase with some flowers from the garden. The outdoor breakfast was amazing with homemade yoghurt, fresh breads, various homemade jams, pancakes, home made "nutella", some cheese, juice, and coffee/tea. Nice spacious grounds with chairs to sit outside. Excellent restaurant recommendation in the closest town (about 10-15 minute drive). Great place to stay en-route, or for a longer stay and use it as a base for biking or cycling. The host was extremely nice and helpful. They live on the same property but in a separate building so the rooms are very private. A large communal area with a kitchen available to use for those who want it. Wifi worked very well with a plug in device we could borrow. The property is in a rural and very quiet area. The stars at night were amazing!
Cons: This was really very nice, so no negatives. The only thing to note is that this is in a very rural area, so bring a book and enjoy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and clean. I was warmly welcomed by the owners and gave good advice when asked. The breakfast was very good and attention was paid to small details, what makes it special!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: I appreciate the garage for my car , unusual in hotels in center of towns , but very useful and secure .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are warm and spacious and clean. The hotel is located right next to the ancient pedestrian quarter with its restaurants and shops. It also offers parking in their garage for 10 euros per day. We didn’t have breakfast on this stay because we wanted to visit local cafés, but we had it on our last stay.
Cons: There really isn5 anything I would complain about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Always excellent standard. Friendly and capable staff.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location for the restaurants and shops . Quiet room .
Cons: The room was dark and the parking a little confusing. We ended up in a car park in the town , which was fine but hadn’t realised we needed to prebook for parking on site
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tucked away and quiet, but very central hotel in well converted old buildings. Secure garage and dog friendly, so ideal for our stopover going south, but worth two nights next time.
Cons: Nothing to gripe about.

Pros: Another great stay at this special hotel. Room was lovely & the grounds as gorgeous as ever. The food in the restaurant in exceptional and worth a visit even if you don’t stay at the hotel-easily Michelin star quality food. The staff also helped me in preparing food for my dog which was above and beyond so thank you!
Cons: Perfect stay !
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quirky movement through time in design trends over the past seventy years.
Cons: Wall paper will soon be collectable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and the surrounding park are convenient and attractive.
Cons: I received a message two days before I left to inform method the restaurant was closed on the day of my stay and that I could have a sandwich by the pool if I wished. The snack was adequate but not what I had expected. I had requested a room with a walk in shower as I have difficulty taking a shower in a bath tub. The property had put me in an attic room with a walk in shower half way down the stairs which were narrow and had no hand rails which I need to keep my balance. On the bright side I was allocated a comfortable room with bath tub on the ground floor at the same rate.

Very clean with upgraded bathrooms while maintaining its 19th century charm. Private parking that can accommodate larger vehicles. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was very nice with warm croissants, fruit & homemade jams. Half hour to Cognac to visit distilleries. Ate at the Bistro La Maison de Claude on Rue Grande in Cognac - excellent.

Pros: Very spacious room for a family of 4 Good shower/ bathroom Nice and helpful staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms and good breakfast. Excellent attention.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We use this as a night stopover regularly, as it is the right distance from Cherbourg, after landing from the early afternoon ferry. It is just off the A10 motorway and has an excellent independent restaurant a few yards away. It has BBC World News on the TV. The staff at breakfast are very helpful, and the meal good.
Cons: We landed a little late in Cherbourg, and had a major traffic hold up on the Nantes Periphique, plus heavy rain so only arrived 10 minutes before the reception closed at 21.00, some 90 minutes later than expected. A call from the Hotel to check on our status would have been helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Comfy beds. Good location for motorway (travelling UK to Spain). Found excellent dinner spot in town - 10 minutes drive. Beautiful river view with all the Christmas lights. Really good selection for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing really; value for money so hard to complain.

Overview Reviews
A stay at Brit Hotel Bleu Nuit places you in the heart of Saintes, within a 10-minute walk of Saint-Eutrope Church and Saintes Amphitheatre. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a library, and an elevator.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, the two rooms placed next to each other and away from other guests, the beds were super comfortable, the breakfast was good, the free parking around the corner was a real bonus, and the location in Saintes was perfect for exploring the city centre and the amphitheatre at the other end of the city. We really loved staying here and would stay here again as well as recommending others to too.
Cons: The lift was a little dodgy and only worked sometimes - inconvenient with 5 children under 10 and a pregnant wife. Still it worked when we really needed it which was on arrival with all our bags and on departure with all our bags too. Minor point: the coffee in the room was *yuk* - please think about getting coffee bags; they're so good and it's such a better experience to have access to ground coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a balcony room and sat outside with an early morning coffee (had to buy from outside the hotel) in comfy chairs with an excellent view of the avenues leading from the hotel. The hotel was situated approximately quarter of a mile from the main part of town but was easy to walk to.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming front staff
Cons: Just wish it had more tv channels
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the bed is very comfortable, me and my daughter only stay at here one night, but its position is good to find restaurant to have dinner.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good price and, as we were travelling on the motorway (A10) very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and there were restaurants nearby. Breakfast was adequate buffet, not particularly cheap.
Cons: Fair enough for the price but the room was very Spartan and utilitarian
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast and the shower
Cons: The receptionist was miserable and not very friendly! The room was small, so a bit disapointing. No coffee making facilities.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff, parking, breakfast
Cons: Very small room and therefore somewhat overpriced
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, close to motorway.
Cons: Small Room, Restaurant Closed on Sunday night.
6.3 Good
Pros: Reception staff very pleasant. Only charged for one breakfast due to misunderstanding. Room changed when first one smelt of cats.
Cons: Waitress who came to serve us at dinner was very ill. She coughed all over the plates and whilst serving food to others. She should have been sent home. She was very unhelpful when we asked what the dishes were. We walked out when she had another coughing fit. I realise she can't help being ill but she should not have been at work. Also first room smelt very bad. We were offered a spray but I asked to change rooms. A spray would have masked the smell not removed it. Also, we got the impression that breakfast was included as we were given a ticket. We were charged for breakfast at checkout.
7.0 Good
Pros: Super was prettig hoor and breakfast.
Cons: No extra's. Bathroom narrow. Matres tuin, onze toneel per persoon...

1.0 Poor
Pros: Nice Room & good breakfast.
Cons: Cold main course food and group of very noisy evening diners who were rude & uncooperative spoiling our meal. Hotel staff did nothing about my complaint. Post breakfast receptionist promised to seek a dinner refund/discount. Still waiting my reduced bill via email BUT my CC since charged the full amount.

Pros: Great welcome from the receptionist. She was very helpful and enthusiastic about Saintes: where to visit, recommendations on where to eat. Small but adequate bedroom and en-suite. Right near the station with free partying at the weekend and very quiet. No air-con but fan in room which helped to keep us cool. Breakfast at €8.50 was very good value: hot drinks, juice, croissant, bread, cheese, jam, honey, yogurt, cake.... I hope I haven’t forgotten anything! Pros: Easy to find, friendly owner, very good shower
Cons: noisy plumbing, only one toilet and shower for nine bedrooms but didn't have to wait for the facilities whilst I was there. The car parking requires the host to let you in and out; didn't like to bother her to be honest so parked in the street.

Pros: Good location for a stop over. Great evening meal and wine prepared by host. We would come back.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and had all the things you could ask for (TV, wifi, water heater with some tea or instant coffee, shower gel, etc). The breakfast was good and ready at a time of our own request.
Cons: The room ceiling was a bit low at some points, which was less comfortable for us tall Dutch people.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located in a beautiful rural area with rolling hills. Great for bicyling. Owners are lovely and want to ensure your comfort. They speak English.
Cons: Beds are a bit low to the ground but comfortable mattresses. Some stairs/steps.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Managed to fit us in at short notice and owner opened the kitchen for us and made us a great meal
Cons: Gates closed until 8 so couldn’t walk my dog apart from the grounds, but the car was secure!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed one night on our way from the channel to the Atlantic and it was perfect for us. Great place, nice hosts and lovely breakfast.

Cons: Just a little far out of Saintes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed dinner on the evening of our one night stay which was SUPERB. The owner had worked as a chef! The property was clean and tidy and on the edge of a small rural village. Quiet, which was what we wanted and a convenient place to break our journey. Charming hosts.
