Cons: Everything was overpriced. Valet was $47 a night ($35 for self parking), the hotel charged an extra $12 for Internet service, and the room service arrived in a paper bag and plastic cups (very disappointing).

Cons: While on vacation being woken up at 4:00 am and 6:00 am every morning due to construction work being done on the expansion of the conference center was a bit maddening. I got the impression that they were behind schedule due to the 3:30 am dumpster clean out. The services at the one and only restaurant was very poor. Complete mayhem in the understanding of the services due to poor management, Often times we would have to go look for a server to get a drink at the lounge area.

Cons: Subaverage room. The price of the room and the room itself does not match. Small beds, small bathroom, small sink area, not a luxury hotel, less than average room.

Cons: Construction site. Hallways super narrow. Bathrooms small. Will be nice to see it in a year from now

Cons: Paid for an upgraded room with a view and got a room with a partial view. Just enough of a view to qualify.

Cons: Literature in-room was not practical/logical. Difficult to navigate. Nowhere does the room indicate that there is room service available. Only a tiny grey font on the bottom right of the menu says 18% gratuity added to in-room service. No mention of room service on the clunky in-room literature. Comforters inside the duvets were very old and balled up.

Cons: Not a big fan of $40 valet parking. I didn't like that they didn't offer smoking rooms. Also, I didn't like that you couldn't vape up stairs at their rooftop bar. Why we left to another roof top bar that did allow vaping. That was kind of a bummer.

Cons: I did not like that when I booked it said parking was an amenity. That made it seem like it was included. It would have been helpful to know that it only offered valet parking that is $41/night. That was a big shock when we arrived and a bit upsetting it was not mentioned before we booked

Cons: I paid 42$ for valet because i didn't want to walk the 2 blocks away for self parking that cost 30$. It isn't the amount that bothered me the valet scratched my brand new 2016 highlander. None of the valets fessed up and I didn't notice until after i checked out and drove off.

Cons: Horrible service. Not clean. Like a chuck-e-cheese version of a resort. No joke. Disappointing.

Cons: Not private at all. Weddings, party's are going on at the beach, kind of makes it feel very uncomfortable being there while other parties are going on.

Cons: For the room we got, it seemed a little overpriced. We also were charged $35/night for parking on top of the $27/night resort fee which was a bit much. The executive suite we stayed in seemed like it was built in the late 80's or 90's, and was just refurnished to look new. The bed squeaked and didn't seem sturdy. Even the little details were overlooked. The cord hangers for the sattelite/cable cord were black and stuck out like a sore thumb against the white moulding. One (and possibly more) of the kitchen chairs had a sizable burn hole in it.

Cons: The accommodation/rooms need to be refreshed the rooms look old and not well kept. This is not a four star resort and the price is too high.

Cons: Because we did not book directly with resort, we were charged $35/day parking and $27/day passport fees. Really eats into alleged savings, and charges not included in electronic booking detail or check-in description of charges. Dinner at Caveman Pizza first night was an eye-opener. Dishes piled all over any empty tables; forgot our order even though we checked in twice while waiting with 2 hungry teenagers. In interim, son used bathroom which was so gross he refused to even think about eating at resort the rest of the visit; wish I could say he has high cleanliness standards, but he doesn't, and it must have been absolutely horrible for him to even notice. Said it looked like the workers responsible just didn't give a damn -- similar to table bussing situation, shared with Barefoot. Room was not that clean: lots of dust on surfaces, floors. Water pressure on low side for shower; with harder water, need longer to lather and rinse -- not so great for drought. Neighbors smoked on outside lanai of adjacent unit which kept smoke out of their unit, and blowing into ours. Detracts from enjoyment of all. With savvy travel consumers watching Hotel Confidential, etc, hotels need to step it up on their cleanliness and maintenance routines and food service, and staff training.

Cons: The room was dirty and seemed like it wasn't touched in weeks. As soon as we sat on the beds large clouds of dust escaped from underneath and gave my sister an asthma attack. The bath tub was peeled and needs resurfacing. The heater was broken and made a loud noise throughout the night.

Cons: The hotel cannot control this, but the area is filled with homeless and panhandlers that made it uncomfortable to walk to the Gaslamp district or Midway museum (it's worse on 4th Street). Next time we will likely stay close to the waterfront where the problem seems to be lessened.

Cons: The room smells like mold. I stated 5 hours and left. Booked a hotel next door. Worst experience ever.

Cons: The Spa Suite was a little plain in appearance for a luxury hotel but the therapist was excellent.

Cons: Snooty front desk clerk: I was staying 2 nights on SPG points, an SPG Gold member. Took advantage of early check in and 4pm checkout - that was great. Front desk clerk says: "Sorry can't upgrade you at checkin." And I say, if I didn't check in until after my day's activities after 6pm, could I get an upgrade?" response: "No". So why did you even say that sh*t in the first place? Total droid. Also, downtown San Diego is a dreary place indeed. Homelessness abounds. And while there are nice restaurants within a mile, this particular stretch of Broadway isn't much...

Cons: Very noisy on the 4th floor exterior room all night long on a weekend.. I requested a room with a view and got a view of the rundown buildingf to peo next to us and listene.

Cons: Poorly managed, no hot water, did not clean rooms daily

Cons: It's not very clear when check-out is, we went back to make sure we didn't miss any items and we were already checked out and housekeeping threw out everything. We did get two free beverage vouchers, but probably won't be back before expiration. Our window faced the pool and it was really loud in the morning, but fine for one night.

Cons: Not a lot of food choices. We went to blue pearl restaurant after your front office told us where it was, only to find out they were closed on Mondays, obviously the front desk lady didn't know that. I also mentioned it to the staff at fire fly and they had no idea either!!! I confirmed my reservation online and received a text stating he room would be ready at 3:00. I called to make sure and once again the front desk staff had no idea... They said they don't send out text messages lol. Funny because I got one, and even showed it to her! It said "the Dana on mission bay" I also asked the front desk staff for more creamer and she said she would have someone bring it to my room, I told her no, my whole family was still sleeping. She said " I don't know what to tell you then". I was also charged $14 for wifi and an expired coupon book I never used and/or asked for. I guess you could just say your front desk staff is horrible, the rest is great!!!
