excellent reception staff welcoming, friendly atmosphere in pub good food well presented fair cost
great breakfast and location right on the high street.
we stayed in the annex which was lovely and new, warm and cosy and very comfortable. The only gripe is the complete lack of sound proofing between rooms! chip board at best between the rooms. We could literally hear every word of the conversation next door, every drawer opening, every key in the door, toilet flush etc etc. This is not comfortable or private for guests. Really disappointing that hotels cut corners like this to save money to the detriment of client comfort. Esp when it's a new conversion it seems like so why not put some in when it's being refurbed?! Sadly in the increase in places where sound proofing isn't even considered. Would only stay in the main hotel if went again but would there be any SP considerations there either..?
Clean and Comfotable hotel with excellent food and helpful staff ticks all boxes !
The breakfast lunch and dinner were excellent as was the service from all the staff. The location was also excellent and the bedroom was also to a very high standard. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.
I cannot think of anything that could be improved.
Tasty bacon at breakfast
