Clean, luxury comfy stay
The hotel is very nice, clean, and feels luxury, it provide very nice service. I am very much enjoying the stay there, it's safe area, next to the imperial palace, ask a lot of large companies, government office. the hotel is great, the staff is also welcoming and helpful, they offer luggage service too. So it works great if you have to travel to some other places, and you don't need to take big suitcase. For me, I have left my luggage there for over10 days! There are 24hour convenient store, drug store, cib camera store if you need shopping, also there are so many good restaurants karaoke for entertainment. Overall it's so nice. Seems all of the Japanese food you are think of would be converted, sushi, ramen, drinks, etc. not even bad than the tsukiji fish market.
The transportation is a little inconvenient, if you are using JR pass, then you need to take Tokyo metro or ginza line besides the JR yamatoe line. Travel wise normally costs a little more everyday. But maybe the Tokyo 3day pass might works better.
Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was extremely nice. Wifi worked great and was unlimited and free. Location was close to a subway stop that took you to all the Tokyo tourist attractions.
The Double room was very small, but that is expected for Tokyo. There wasn't a lot of night life going on around the hotel.
great location. 5 minutes from Akasaka-Mitsuke Metro, which has a restaurant alley right behind with 200+ options. hotel sits adjacent to aston martin dealership and 3 minutes walk from le creation de Narisawa; i.e. a posh neighbourhood. it's also within 10 minutes walk to at least three major greeneries in Tokyo.
late check-out is expensive at ¥1500 add'l per hour. elevator a bit slow.
With a stay at Hotel Monterey Akasaka, you'll be centrally located in Tokyo, within a 5-minute drive of National Diet Building and Tokyo Imperial Palace. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Limited parking is available onsite.
