Pros: Liked the park to walk our two dogs. the night shift woman was extra nice and helpful.
Cons: We were being charged more than what we were told..the caterer for the breakfast didnt wear gloves when putting the biscuits out for breakfast.she was eating her own breakfast and not paying attention to the food, to make sure that it was stocked for people to get. The eggs were cold the only thing that was hot was the gravy. Our refrigerator in the room didnt work so we were unable to keep drinks or anything else cold.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Overall cleanliness of the property inside and out was very nice. The staff woman on hand was very pleasant and friendly to deal with. If you are headed to US129 Tail of the Dragon or any of the other driving roads, this isn't a bad option. About 20-25 minutes from the start of Tail of the Dragon.
Cons: I reserved a smoking room, and included in the comments that I would be bringing a pet. The room reserved was gone by the time I arrived, and she wasn't aware of pet. I picked this hotel chain because it was smoker AND pet friendly, but ended up stuck in a non-smoking room. Pros: The room was very clean, and I do like that you do have a smoking room....I dont feel safe outside in your parking lot . The price was a good deal...but I forgot to get my 25.00 deposit back for paying cash. It's my fault but dont penalty people for using cash please. Was very quiet, and the staff was great and very helpful...please let them know how great they are...especially brandy! She was a delightful woman and she is very smart and knows her guests and does make you feel at home.
Cons: People in parking lot drinking beer. Only 2.towels in room? Maybe try to buy new towels every 6 most. And floor on 4 floor by elevator was a mess and very sticky. Clean parking lot...its a mess!

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Carla at the motel in front of this is the only good thing about this
Cons: The guy at the Royal Inn (in the back) is literally the worst person I've ever met and when I tried to get an early check in and he said that he would charge me an additional night, so I contacted their corporate office and was given an early check-in. When I tried to check in, he gave me the key and I had asked for an additional key, and he took my key back and would not let me check in. He told me to cancel my reservation or go to the motel at the front and check in there. Carla is literally an angel and I'm beyond thankful to have worked with her. She made the only positive impact on an extremely horrible trip.

Pros: The price was low and it gives you a bed to crash in. A fridge and coffee maker are available but both were dirty.
Cons: - upon check-in, we were given a waiver to sign which waived liability of the motel for loss of property or life. - we were told that check-out time was 11 am, but were woken up at 10:20 by “housekeeping.” We requested to be left alone until 11, but he insisted that he “needed to get his things,” walked in, tore the sheets and blankets off the bed, and then tossed them on the floor in front of the door. - appliances were not clean, fridge and coffee maker were dirty, roaches crawled on the walls, and the toilet had urine on the seat and on the floor. - sheets didn’t seem clean and the blanket had cigarette burns in it - Dish service went out in the early morning
