The associated cafe was good. The server was excellent and was always smiling. After having asked, extra water and flashlights were provided in case the power went out. The sitting room in the house was very homey and comfortable, with photo albums and fishing decorations.
It was called a lodge. I was expecting something much better from the web sites description . It was more like renting a house. There was no staff and no one there at night. I did not think there were adequate locks on the room doors, especially if the other rooms had strangers in then.
Staff. I answered question on Trip Advisor that, yes, they did have a concierge. Anyone would help you with anything. People everywhere in Nova Scotia are so friendly. Location: only place we didn't care to drive to was Baddeck Lobster Dinner. 5 blocks. Ceiligh site and Bell museum close. Across the street from harbor.
Bathroom plugin for charging only worked when the light was on. Limited plugins. Stairs a little steep for creaky knees.
We loved the location and would love to have stayed for Breakfast, but like most of Nova Scotia, PEI and NB nothing seems to open until 8:00 am. Our travel plans forced us to forgo breakfast ,something we regretted, since we payed for it, but we had to get to Digby to catch a ferry back to the States.
Everything was great but we could not wait until 8:00 am to enjoy breakfast.
We liked the room, the outdoor patio, the food & the people were So Friendly.
Everything was Great
Food and service was excellent
The beds were no good, particularly the two single beds were awful
